Came here randomly for brunch. We got seated in a booth, there is no padding in the seats so it was hard landing. If you have trouble with getting up, get a table. We were handed the menu with a breakfast insert. The server came to our table and she asked us what we want to drink, we asked her what she has and her response was "What would you like?" We asked for horchata and she said they don't have it and continued to look at us without giving us an example of what they have available. She brought us juice and water with one straw. The cups looked beat up from the dishwasher. Had to use the same straw for both drinks which was not a problem. Meals were satisfyingly sized and not overly filling. The final price was good. It looks like a great place for big gatherings. There is a bar area away from the main area. Toilets are clean. There is also a big shaded patio.

The food is really good but don't forget their margaritas and the chips and salsa!! We have been going to the Western Center location for 20+ years and the Roanoke location is every bit as good!

My wife and I shared the brisquet chimichanga entree and a couple magueritas. The food, plating, value, portions, ambience, and service were excellent. We love the new location and open air patio.

Our team recently visited Los Molcajetes for a lunch outing, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The menu had a good variety of options, including vegetarian dishes, which was great for those of us with dietary preferences. I ordered the vegetarian meal and enjoyed it—the flavors were fresh and satisfying. The only downside was that the rice tasted a bit too salty for my liking. A few colleagues ordered the chicken and beef tamale, and they mentioned that both dishes were quite good.

The back room was where we sat for our party of 23. Service was efficient and prompt. Food was okay. I ordered tacos and they wouldn't allow substitutions which was disappointing. The ground beef on the tacos was very bland. The portion was very large. The back room was too warm. The queso tasted like it came from a can.

We were really excited to try this place after reading lots of reviews and posts on social. The restaurant looks great! Service was spot on. Chips were thin and crispy and came in huge bowl. The salsa was just ok. Had a strong canned tomato sauce taste to it. The food portions were very generous and prices are affordable. Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes just wasn't what we were expecting. I had the chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. The beans and rice were average. The chicken inside the enchiladas was soupy chunks of chicken thighs. Very watery and soaked the tortillas. The sauce was very heavy on the garlic and not your typical sour cream flavor. Our son had chicken enchiladas, and they were good. My wife ordered the Chicken Monterrey. Unfortunately, the cook assembled the dish in an odd manner. Chicken on the bottom, grilled onions, sliced avocado, and then the cheese on top before placing it under the broiler. The avocado created a cold spot, and the cheese wasn't melted in the middle. Gave it an odd taste and texture. The avocado should have been added last and only after coming out of the broiler. Maybe we just ordered wrong or caught them on a bad night.

Great Tex-Mex in Roanoke. First of all waiter was very friendly & so polite! Great customer service! We split the beef enchilada/taco plate. Very flavorful. Great thin chips with 2 hot sauces. Hot& mild. Give them a try! Great bar area to watch game’s & outdoor seating.

I loved this place. The chips and salsa are great food was delicious and they HAD the best margaritas!! But something changed recently and the Matgaritas are terrible!!! They taste carbonated and not good at all. Such a dissapointment. The waiter told us that everyone was complaining about the margaritas not just us. This use to be my favorite place to go but I am now searching out for a new favorite with better margaritas.

The restaurant has family dine-in setup, looks calm and welcoming. Food is just fine, not great. Tasted little different, could need an acquired taste. Even the dessert was not good. Overall I was disappointed with the expectations lead by the reviews. Service was slow, food okay. It was our first time here. Got here about 5:45 and place was not busy at all. Came in for dinner and asked a question about the menu and the waiter had no idea. Took almost 10 minutes to get him to come back to take our order. Food came almost 30 minutes after order was taken. People who were seated after us, and had their order taken after us, had food before we did. The enchiladas were good. Loaded with chicken. Rice was dry and crunchy. Beans were okay. My kids each liked the food they got.

We have frequented this establishment for many years, consistently enjoying the quality of the food. However, last night, our entire party experienced severe food poisoning, which unfortunately coincided with my daughter's birthday celebration. Specifically, individuals who consumed the beans suffered from uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea. Attempts to contact the restaurant to report this issue were met with repeated disconnections. This establishment was previously a preferred dining destination for us.

We have attended this Mexican restaurant and enjoyed many times but unfortunately today it did not meet the Mark. They serve me raw uncooked ground beef. It was sent back more than once in the order was messed up. Not sure why today was not their typical, but it was not up to par.

We’ve been customers of Molcajetes since back in the days they were located on 377. Over the years the quality has consistently gone down, the portions have gotten smaller and the service has gotten worse and worse. There have been bright spots here and there. But, our last visit took the cake. Mistake after mistake, undercooked or missing food and little to no service. I understand they get busy, but we were patient and still having issue after issue. We won’t be coming back.

We got there and were greeted and seated quickly. Our waiter was very quiet and took our order and got it wrong. My sister is allergic to peppers and tomatoes. She asked for them not to be included, and they were included. When she mentioned it to the waiter, he looked like what do you want me to do about it. He never took it back to correct it. He never kept our drinks full. Then we ask for to go boxes. He looked confused. We will never return to this place. Poor service. The food was not good. Do not go here.
