Amico in Italian means “friend.” That is exactly what this family has been to Rochester for as long as I can remember. I used to live off Waring and get a pizza every time I came from the theatre. Those were some of the best years of my life. I live in FL now but when I’m in Rochester these guys are the only choice in a local pie. Grazie!

Came from Greece for the first time ever after seeing people write in a FB group that Amicos was the "best in Rochester". Going to have to agree as it's one of the best I've ever had. Went with the pink sauce pie and grabbed a couple of their chocolate chip cookies. Both PHENOMENAL

Great hand-tossed pizza. A staple in Irondequoit for decades and they don't disappoint. The ingredients are fresh and the customer service is great. Please treat them well, they work hard. Btw, the homemade chocolate chip cookies are perfect. They accommodated me on a complicated order for delivery. I'm a fan as long as they let the pizza sit for a minute before delivery. Otherwise, the pizza toppings slide on delivery.

We've been customers for about 10 years. Hands down the best breakfast pizza in the city! I also love their NYC style thin crust, the homemade ingredients, and how accommodating the staff has been to meet complicated orders.

I just tried Amico's for the first time Saturday, and they were great! Super nice and clear over the phone, food made as ordered and delivered quick. What else could you ask for? It was $46 for a medium with 2 toppings on half, and 15 wings with some extra bleu cheese delivered [more after for tip, don't forget to hook up your drivers for making life easier] I will be ordering again.

I'm fat, I love pizza, and this is the best pizza I've ever had in my life. Everything about it is perfect. The owner, Dave, is a great guy who's been in business for so many years – he knows what he's doing. I usually like a lot of toppings and go for a pepperoni, sausage, onions, banana peppers pizza, but even a straight up cheese or cheese w/ pepperoni is fantastic. It's good the next day too, cold and right out of the fridge!

We've been going to Amico's since the early 90's. The pizza is great. Always cooked well, the crust is crispy and the ingredients taste fresh. Quality toppings, one of my favorites is the sausage. But overall, it's one of the better pies in Rochester. They've been in business for as long as they have for a reason, because it's good pizza.

Great business, highly recommend it here... Have ordered a few times from Amico's now, food has been fantastic. Last time I ordered, was during lunchtime for a Grubhub delivery. Was delivered the wrong pizza, called Amico's to let them know, a very professional, nice gentleman on the phone said he'd send another pizza out & to give the pizza I'd been delivered to the neighbor, lol.. I did just that, they were pleasantly surprised & hopefully will be Amico's customers now as well. Correct pizza arrived almost exactly when I was told it would, piping hot & delivered personally by one of the Amico's own crew. We had a pepperoni pizza - which was solid. The best part was chatting with Dave and his son's while we waited for the pizza to cook. After 15 minutes, it felt like we'd known them forever and were friends. Skip the chain pizza places ... This is where you wanna go.

We tried Amico's for the first time last night and it was delicious! Our sheet pizza was cheesy, had lots of pepperoni, and arrived at our house STILL HOT, which is not something we've come to expect from pizza delivery (our orders from other places usually arrive warm but not hot!). The wings were tasty too! Will definitely order from again!

The Buffalo chicken pizza is out of this world. The wings were cooked to amazingness. The customer service is out of this world, great classy flare. The delivery driver was amazing she was so nice and very outgoing, struck up a great conversation. By far the best pizza shop within town!! Outside of the owner (Dave Amico) being salt of the earth, and his family/staff being so friendly and polite, it’s hands down the best pizza in the city!! I don’t even know one that’s even close. The crust is to die for and the toppings and homemade sauce just have so much flavor. In a pinch when we’re out and about we’ve grabbed a random slice from other shops for our two year old son and he refused after the first bite. When I bring an Amico’s pizza home it puts a smile on my family’s face!! BTW their wings are also fantastic..

Best pizza in town. Forget the fuss, set aside the gimmicks. Turns out that what makes great pizza is not the material your oven is made from, or whether it burns wood, coal or gas. Great pizza comes from skilled hands and great ingredients, and Amico’s has that in abundance. It’s great pizza, perfect crust, delicious toppings, and they’ll cut it anyway you want it. Fantastic!

I drove from Greece to try this pizza. Very good! It's my kind of pizza for sure. It's not overly sauced, I saw the owner putting grated cheese under the mozzarella, which adds a creamy consistency; definitely a veteran move. The sauce was a little sweet for me, but it's better than a sour tasting sauce. Wings were good. The Buffalo sauce wasn't my favorite but they were cooked pretty good and utilizing a pizza box is a good idea. Cuts costs and makes for a crispier wing. Great place.

The workers asked me if I wanted my fries salted and then asked if I wanted ketchup. Little things like that really really make a experience great. Way to go guys.

We got 30 wings and a sheet pizza for a birthday party... best sheet pizza I've had by far. The wings were great, large, perfectly cooked, sauced evenly. Their homemade garlic parmesan sauce 🤤 so good. Bleu cheese is good too. I will be ordering from here only from now on. Amazing. And the price was almost $30 cheaper than every other place we looked at!

Got a medium pepperoni, thin crust. Really good. The only disappointing thing was I paid for mozzarella and definitely didn't seem like that. The taste was good so I didn't mind. I'd definitely go back. UPDATE - I went back and ordered a slightly different pizza, this time without the extra mozz. I definitely got extra mozz the 1st time. Pizza was still good. I would certainly order it again. Final UPDATE - I like the pizza but they really skimp on the toppings. Really disappointed. Good food, skimpy toppings. It almost ruins the experience. Extra mozz was definitely the way to go but it's disappointing that you almost HAVE to order extra mozz. I ordered pepperoni and their homemade meatballs, which were better than the homemade Italian sausage.

This place used to be one of my favorites when I lived on this side of town. I’ve since moved to Fairport and haven’t been over here in a while. I ordered some pizza and wings to take home and they were immediately a fan favorite. I’m glad to see Dave and the boys haven’t lost their touch

This is my new go-to for pizza. While it looks a little dinky from the outside, the food is always delicious, hot, and plentiful for the cost. My only complaint is that the garlic can get a little bitter- but, lucky for me, they offer sauces with and without extra raw garlic. The wings are enormous- always tender. The medium Buffalo sauce is perfectly flavorful and pleasantly sadistic on the spice level. Our go-to order, thick crust pizza with red sauce, extra cheese, pepperoni, and black olives with a 30 piece wings (medium sauce, natch!) leaves us full and with leftovers to nom off for the rest of the week. And you can't beat the price for this combo! It ends up being cheaper than a comparable amount of food from other pizza places in the area. Add in the staff is awesome, and it's such a great gem on the Northside of town.

I have ordered pizza and wings from Amicos since childhood and tried other area pizzas! We always pick up our order which is always either thin crust cut in wedges with cheese and sausage or cheese with mushrooms, onions, peppers, black olives, and sausage…wings mild with extra blue cheese. Maybe asking for the pizza to be wedge cut would solve people getting a mostly pizza crust piece! BUT BY FAR AMICO’s uses a superior tasting cheese and real sweet sausage pieces. The onions are cut to form strings which I love. AMICO’s IMO is as close to NYC/Jersey thin crust board walk pizza as you are going to get!

My dad put on to the place he is a pizza lover. Me not so much but every once in a while I do get pizza and I have to say this place has excellent pizza and wings as well as good specials on buying both. The cheese to sauce ratio was just right! it taste so good! This will be my new spot to recommend pizza and buy from again. Good customer service too!

We got 20 garlic parm wings they were delicious I ordered them this weekend because when I'm at work, the girls ALWAYS grab food from there. I love the real garlic pieces and butter vs the " garlic Parm sauce" that comes out the bottle,it's salty. You have to try this chicken it's crispy and fresh.I could not add a photo because we ate the food before I posted this review 🙂🙂

I normally write a review after I've visited a few times but Amico's was exceptional. I'm not normally on that side of town but it's worth a special trip. I had their Bianco pizza, which is pictured a lot, but what stood out for me was their hand-tossed dough right in front of you, and their sauce; the crust was perfect and the sauce was sooo flavorful it made me wish I'd gotten bianco toppings with a red sauce. The guys were also so friendly despite the entire building being an oven; quite warm, we wouldn't have eaten inside and it's a shame there isn't outdoor seating, but we did takeout regardless. Dare I say the best local, non-chain pizzerias in Rochester (At least that I've had).

I've had Amico's all of 4 times now. Two of which were people bringing the pizza into work or a party, and we loved those pies. Both those times were great. Since they don't deliver out to our part of West Irondequoit, we stopped here twice now on our own. The first time we just did a normal pepperoni pie, and garlic parm wings. Very basic, and we didn't love it, didn't hate it. But it was different from when we had it before. (I will say neither my wife nor I liked the garlic parm sauce, mainly because it didn't stick, and was not very well coated making the wings just vaguely butter flavored. We found that first pie was too thick, but it wasn't bad. We just had it a second time Friday, and asked our friends how they ordered, and all said they had done thin crust. Well, that was the key. The thin crust was what we were used to there, and it was a great pie. Did regular Boss Sauce on the wings, so they were great. Got chicken tenders for our daughter, and they were very thick and juicy as well. So, now that we got the order down, we highly recommend this place. (Pic is of their regular crust, not the thin.)

They make a really good pie with plentiful toppings. The mozzarella sticks were disappointing. Smaller and undercooked.

Ordered extra crispy wings and they were actually crispy and the mild buffalo sauce was really good with a hint of sweetness, pizza was just as good with a nice crust and flavorful sauce.

Great pizza, 2 topping large for $23. I forgot to put 2 blue cheeses on my online order, and so I tried to pay for them, and the young lady said don't worry about it. That was the most impressive part! Thank you! 4 outta 5 stars, cause it coulda used a little more sauce, but great place! Cheers!

Had high hopes for the pizza but unfortunately it did not live up to it. It was not a bad pizza but it was very greasy, lacked a lot of flavor, and the crust was a bit soggy. On the other hand the Italian sausage was great and the cheese was fantastic.

Have been ordering amicos pizza since I was a teenager and they were at Waring plaza. However due to thetfact am older i don't order pizza as often. Last couple times pizza very greecy and soggy. Delivered. A quarter of slices folded over. Tastes good but box is saturated. Disappointed, hopefully will correct issues.

Ordered a sheet w/30 wings Pizza needed more sauce. Wings were not cooked well done like I asked for. 3 stars for quick service

This was a first experience for us, as we just moved into the area. I’d like to note that the guy on the phone, and in person, was pleasant. Regarding the pizza, we have a mixed review. The pepperoni was honestly great. Solid crust, seasoning, and even cheesier than expected. 8/10. However, the buffalo chicken pizza was pretty rough. There was no buffalo sauce in sight, and in fact it was weirdly sweet? It was also very, very wet, which was off putting. Lastly, though the chicken was juicy, it was sadly flavorless.1/10. This is not meant to deter anyone from trying the place, but moreso for the owners to see and maybe improve upon. I personally plan on ordering from this location again and hope to see an improved buff chicken!

Long time customer of Amico since they where on waring road. the last two orders where just ok. the chicken wings had very little sauce and could have been cooked longer. pizza was very thin but tasted ok

Pizza is good however for a small feel like its not worth the price I paid, wings weren’t fried hard like I had asked them to be and barely any sauce on them I had to add my own boss sauce to them.

I asked for a well done pizza and it wasn't. I also ordered wings with light sauce and it was non existent. When will ppl follow the instructions to please their customers?

Tonight I picked up a small pizza. I got home with my pizza and the bottom was soggy I paid for each topping and had 2 mushrooms on the entire pizza.I live 2 minutes away but I was settled in and wasn't coming back out. I was very disappointed because I paid $14 for a mini pizza. I had the wings from here which are usually phenomenal. But no more pizza for me.

I ordered a large pizza with 20 wings tonight. The pizza was pretty good, however the topping distribution was pretty poor. I had half cheese and half with mushroom and onion. There were almost no mushrooms on the pizza and what was on it was only on a quarter of the pie. Still overall a good tasting pizza. The WINGS however were honestly terrible. The sauce was great but the meat was rubbery and had a terrible after taste. I have ordered from here before but may take a break after tonight.

Place has gone downhill fast, the delivery service forgot my drink order entirely. I asked for a refund, didn't get it. ordered one pizza thin crust, came as regular crust. Pizza was cut all wrong leaving slices weird sized... skip this place order from somewhere else!

So i called to order for delivery ... I live literally two minutes away but because i don't live in irondequiot they wouldn't deliver to me.. Just because i live in the city ! What shame . if that's not racist idk what is. I wouldn't spend a penny at this place.

I wish I had gotten a chance to try out Amico’s pizza, but within the first half minute of our phone conversation the employee got incredibly rude. I couldn’t hear him over the din in the background so when I asked if he was asking for my address he very sarcastically responded “well uh YEAH I’m gonna need it if I’m going to deliver it to you.” I understand slinging dough is hard work, but you’ve gotta at least not be outright rude in a customer service job. Maybe I’ll give them another try but tonight I’ll be eating some Cordello’s!

Amicos has really gone down in value. They actually gave me an overcooked, hard as what felt like a rock pizza. I knew there was a reason why I stopped ordering from Amicos. What a waste of 10 bucks. I couldn't eat two of the slices because it was too hard. Definitely will get back to refraining from purchasing pizza from them.

I'm giving it one star because they got my order completely wrong other than for the drink i called back n they said they couldn't help the man who delivered it never called my phone he came banged on the door and rang the door bell and when i asked why he said be happy cuz we don't normally deliver here beacuse this street is dangerous

The owner (Dave) took my order at 11:45am and the food was not delivered until 3:30pm. Apparently the address I stated over the phone was not documented. Total bummer. I wanted a refund, but Dave refused. Bold approach to customer service!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately I did not get to try there pizza, despite looking forward to it after reading all there great reviews. I called for a delivery. The guy speaking was very rude. Trying to order and the guy was rushing me, cutting me off as I'm ordering. Then denies the price of the special (1 pizza 10 wings) listed on their online menu. Disappointed really was looking forward to trying them. After that I won't.

Heard they were good so called to place delivery. Gave them my address which is literally is .8 miles away( less than a mile). They refused to deliver and said it was too out of they're range and were rude about it. Won't be spending my money here.

I googled Amico's NY Pizza, brought me here, I order a pizza online and pay for it. Then notice it's 5 states away. Call them immediately to cancel, they say they can't cancel it. They say I have to work with the Slice app to cancel it. Slice says they can't cancel it; only Amico's can. I call Amico's back: tough luck, they don't care, keeping my money. "The pizza was already made" in spite of the fact I called him immediately upon placing the order. Lied about not being able to cancel the order, ignored my request to cancel, then tried to lie again after I contacted Slice, and then said "oh well the pizza is already made." Screenshots of my call logs to Slice to prove it, they don't care. Amico's will keep your money and lie to you.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Pizza is absolutely disgusting. We ordered requesting thick crust and instead got paper thin pizza that was so hard you could slam it on the table and chunks would fall off. No sauce but they were sure to put on a ton of garlic we didn't ask for. The wings, omg the poor wings, what a waste of money. Over cooked, hard, drier then the Sahara desert despite requesting extra sauce. The wings had this gawd awful taste that left an even worse taste When we called to speak to the owner his rude daughter got on and wouldn't even tell us her name. When the actual owner got on he was even nastier and decided to argue. I guess that's what happens when they don't care about customers and you go with cheap pizza. Shame not even the dogs will eat it

Very disappointed with last nights dinner. We ordered a large pizza, wings & chicken tenders. • pizza was GREASY! I like a little grease with my pizza but within seconds of putting it on the plate, it pooled SO fast & dripped with every bite. Also, each piece barely had any sauce. If you took 5 bites to finish one slice & 2 or more of those bites had sauce, you were lucky • wings were meh. The sauce was good but the wings just did not look & cook well. Not good quality meat • chicken tenders were pathetic. You get 5 dinky tenders in a large box & these tenders are a joke. Tenders are our sons favorite food & he didn’t want them & when he finally did, he was not impressed. We’ve had Amicos before and it was better than this so we’ll chalk it up to a bad night but if we ever do try it again & it’s better, then I’ll change my score.

Plus the people that work here were being super shady like they were doing things illegally so made me not want to try this place. I wasn't going to get caught up on whatever fishy things they were going to do so I took my business elsewhere.
