Really nice, relatively quiet spot. The bartenders are always friendly and the drinks are good, the rotating tap selection keeps it interesting. Also worth mentioning, their food is phenomenal, everything I've had has been exceptional. I highly recommend trying their duck wings, they're the best wings I've had to date.

I generally have excellent experiences here. From what I consider the best wings in Rochester to very attentive bartenders. Between Jason, Lisa, and Greg there is an excellent crew here. There's another bartender that has been great, I can't remember her name. Sorry! Great beer selection with frequent specials. Sometimes you get to take the pint glass home. That's fun! Try the Southern Fried Chicken tenders with Blueberry BBQ, delicious!

The atmosphere is inviting, the tap and cocktail menus are always new and exciting. You wouldn't think that tiny little kitchen could pump out the amazing food that it does, but they are on point. Service is always excellent!

Great Beer selection, food is some of the beat in the city and service is always very attentive. My fave dishes are the French o iron soup (comes with a grilled cheese in it!) The pretzels and facemelter sandwich. Home cut fries too!!

Latest takeout hours in a bar in Rochester with food that is above average for a sports bar (until 1am), which is an understatement. The bartenders there are all at the top of their game everytime I visit. Security there for peace of mind which is nice but for the most part there's never any real big problems. Karaoke night on Sundays is very entertaining :) Go see Jenna and the folks there for an awesome time 10/10 recommend.

Got the Goat XX wings. I can count on one hand the number of times in my life that I've eaten somewhere and wasn't disappointed by something claimed to be very spicy not being spicy enough. This was one of those times.

I got off work late and we wanted to find a good place for a later dinner. Both the goat salad and the burger were amazing! The kitchen was open until 1am which is unique for Rochester. Staff were kind and check up on us regularly. Will be coming back in the future.

Get the garlic parmesan wings... Just do it. Added: Also get the Cajun Buffalo Garlic Parmesan wings. My group ordered both and we were BLOWN AWAY. Best wings I've ever had, by far. (...and I've had a lot of wings).

The menu has a nice variety of pub food and fun sandwiches and even some salads. The truffle parm onion rings were really great and the roast beef was delicious. The place is clean and the atmosphere was fun with good music and interesting decor. The staff was friendly and accommodating. This is a pub and they check ID on the way in so it’s a great place to have a bite and a drink with other adults and not be surrounded by kiddos. Will definitely return.

Very good food.

Came in on Wednesday and had the most amazing BLT and parm fries and wings. We were very impressed with atmosphere and employees both working kitchen and bar. Noticed the cooks busting their butts and staying professional as it was super crazy at the time. I will definitely be returning very soon and telling everyone I know about their hidden gem in our city. Looking forward to trying more delicious dishes!

Amazing homemade pub food. The French onion soup is the best in Rochester, hands down. Homemade and served in a cast iron crock with a grilled goat cheese SANDWICH on top soaking in all the soup flavor. Their parmesan fries are amazing. Decent tap and bottle selection, and they even have NA beers! I tried one tonight with my steak sandwich as I'm pregnant. Very good! I also tried their Cajun corn side on a whim, wish I took a picture! Really flavorful and colorful.

We were looking for a good Roast Beef sandwich, checked Google for reviews. This place was Highly recommended. We absolutely LOVE their Roast Beef on Kimmelwick sandwich. We also very much enjoyed the Loaded Fries. Good prices, Excellent Food, we will be back.

It might not be for everyone, but I really like this quirky little bar. There isn't table service and not many tables which might put some off..but the food is quite good and comes out of this tiny little kitchen. Their soups are some of the best I've had and fries are top notch. They have specials on some nights that are a fantastic value and portions are generous. The menu isn't big but what they do is great! They always have a list of interesting beer specials as well as all the standards. The staff is always friendly and do their best to accommodate you.it has a Cheers vibe "where everybody knows your name" ,in a good way! Glad we found it and we return often for the food. My kids like the karaoke Sunday nights...and they have music weekends which is fun.

Awesome late night food source in downtown Rochester. Flew in to ROC late and The Angry Goat has its kitchen open until 1 am daily. Ordered takeout over the phone around 11:30 pm on a Sunday night and had a 25 m estimate. The Southern Fried Chicken Tenders were absolutely delicious and plentiful. The Blueberry BBQ sauce has a strong and distinct blueberry flavor; tasted great! I also had a side of fries ordered as well, and everything came in the same box. The chicken tenders were on top of the fries and by the time I picked up my order (I was probably 15-20m late) my food was still warm but the fries were kind of soggy. Didn't matter, still tasted great since the seasoning was on point. They're the thick kind of fries that aren't as thick as steak fries but are about 3-4 times thicker than McDonald's fries. I really enjoyed it, and even if I didn't fly in late I'd still choose to order food from The Angry Goat again. PS the breading on the chicken tenders is dairy free.

Open late. Friendly staff & delicious food. I had a huge appetite after debuting my show “Comedians in Drag doing Comedy” in Rochester. We ordered the goat plate and the beef on weck. I got the salted kimmelweck bun no seeds & they make everything so fresh that the bun came just salted. (I don’t eat seeds because they remind me of my angry ex gf who used to peck at me when she was irrationally angry. She is part shoebill.) Everyone is genuinely very friendly around here. Not the weird fake friendly you see in California or Miami (if you own a yacht). I met two guys from the 80s at the bar and they were pretty awesome.

Tried TAGP on the reputation of its burgers. Our party of four ordered a garbage plate, a burger, a grilled chicken sandwich and wings so we really sampled the menu! The food was delicious. The customizable sandwich (I chose grilled chicken, Swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms, and balsamic dressing) was one of the most delicious sandwiches I have ever eaten anywhere. The chicken was moist, and the bun, which seemed to be brioche, was soft and mildly sweet. The sandwich, all in all, was bursting with flavor and was accompanied by either fries or cole slaw. (I chose the latter, though my son, who ordered the garbage plate, ate garlic-herb fries in his dish, and they were delicious!) We were all very happy with our orders. The garbage plate, which my son had never eaten before, felt somewhat elevated, with those flavorful fries and goat cheese. None of us left hungry. The "ambience" is neighborhood pub. Don't expect linens or even silverware. Expect for your meal to be accompanied by a soundtrack of driving pub music. But the hospitality was good, and the food was great. We will be back!

Love coming here. Its a great locals bar and the food is EXCELLENT. We just had a chicken sandwich special that my boyfriend and I agree is the best chicken sandwich we’ve ever had. Always a great meal here, we recommend the wings, the french onion soup with grilled cheese croutons and ANY of their sandwiches. They also offer great specials during the week and have events that make for a great time any time!

A couple friends and I have been going to the Goat for lunch on Saturdays for the last couple months and we couldn't be more pleased. It was a busy one for the bar today, totally packed! Hope to see that again soon. The bartender, as always, was awesome, even though it was slammed today, and the food was stellar and fast. We'll be back again next week for sure!

I cannot tell you how amazing this food is!! We ordered at the bar and grabbed it to go on a whim (rarely do we take our food to go) but 😍😍! The broccoli was cooked absolutely perfectly! We got soup to go and they packaged it so it couldnt spill and held the cheese so it could be added later. Honestly smartest kitchen I've seen in a min and I work in the industry. Bartender was friendly, gave suggestions, and immediately went to change our order in the kitchen. I own goats and absolutely love their art! The kitchen was open after 930 when we had tried 2 places previously and they were recommended to us. We will be going back!!!!

My wife and I have been meaning to try TAGP for years and finally did so. It's Rochester's worst best kept secret! The fish fry was great and the BLT with avacado was unbelievably good. While traveling for work I had to pick from tons of restaurants for diner every night and Angry Goat Pub did not disappoint. The ambiance of this small pub was great amd the food was even better. I ordered the Angry Goat Burger and it was unlike any burger I've had before. It was very well cooked and a creative spin on a burger. Also tried a duck wing for the first time and it was amazing. It was very crispy and the sauce was awesome. Definitely check this place out.

Food had nice twists you don't find elsewhere. Typical burgers and chicken but the toppings are the difference. The beer menu is smaller than most but decent selection of micro brews. Only knock is the confusion. Looking for food and it took about 10 minutes to find out we had to order at the bar, which took another 10 minutes, and wasn't too busy with those times. Overall nice place.

Atnosphere and decor are 10/10, very neat goat themed art work. There's a small section to play darts and lots of board games available. Other than the bar, sit-down seating is limited to 3ish tables. Service was just ok, staff was a bit rude. You have to order at the bar, which they did not explain so we were waiting for a while. When we did go up to the bar there were 2 people standing around who did not acknowledge us for several minutes. We ordered 2 entries and an app which were both really tasty. Overall nice place with dive bar vibes and good food but don't expect super friendly, bubbly servers.

The food is delicious! It's not like the usual bar food. They have salads and great sandwiches, like the one I had with apples and chicken. And, the most wonderful garlic parm wings with freshly shredded cheese on top. The drinks are way overpriced though.

Let's talk food. The pub burger was ok it needed to be seasoned. The Cajun corn do us all a favor and just remove it off the menu absolutely disgusting. The wings are ok they need to be seasoned throwing unseasoned wings in a fryer and putting sauce on them will always give you mediocre wings. The drinks were strong and good. The vibe was nice lowkey and laid back. The staff was very nice and welcoming.

Very nice people that work there. The bartender was very Pleasant. Food was ok. However my fish was chard a bit. By me being a retired chef I would not have served it. But I didn't complain. The fish it's self was ok. Other than that ok place.

It was okay, kindof an awkward place. Maybe it was just the time of day. The server was nice but didn't listen properly to us when we ordered so it made it more confusing than necessary. The food was tasty but overpriced for how much you get. Loud, but it's a bar after all. Had fun in the back playing darts. I'd give it another try.

So we got 2 drinks and 4 shots and they were just plain nothing fancy and its was $57 and not very friendly won't go back!

I was out with a party and we didn't stay long. The couple hours we were there seemed really comfortable. I had an order of wings, no complaints. The staff was polite and welcoming. I tried a PB&J, I think it was peanut butter skrewball and cranberry juice. That was fun. I'm also a suburbs guy, so being within the city limits was out of place for me, but again I felt comfortable.

Good late night spot for food and drinks. I didn't have any drinks but I did place takeout order for 4 ppl. Unfortunately one of my orders of wings was missing when I arrived home. It was too far to return in order to make corrections. Plus it was Memorial day weekend and the place was jumping. Always check your order before leaving. I normally do but missed out this time. My loss their gain! Lesson learned.

This was the 2nd time going here and it wasn't too bad. The coleslaw is horrible lord Jesus I just want to put that out there. Somebody needs to taste it before they serve it. Other than that food was alright.

This is a bar. The seating is minimal with only two low to tables that seat 4 or 5. All the chairs were high top so you can't add a sixth chair like we needed. Food and drink have to be ordered at the bar. Drinks are not delivered, but food was. Not a friendly or welcoming staff when we did go to the bar to order. One person walked right past without a word. Another looked at us and again not a word. The food was very good which is why this is up to 3 stars. We had the beef on wick, french onion soup, the giat burger, Mac and cheese

Moved to the area about a year ago. Basically every experience I’ve had here has been pretty bad. The service was awful. At one point the bartender was actually cursing out customers because he was having a bad day or whatever. It made us so uncomfortable we left. The staff is always rude I’ve been back a few times to see if things would change but I have yet to experience a good time there overall and for that I will not be returning and I don’t recommend it to my friends / out of towners (I also work in the hospitality industry) there are so many other welcoming places to go to. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the food is actually really good. Maybe would recommend take out instead of dine in for late night eats.

I give good reviews and bad reviews. This ones bad. Grilled cheese with fries....one side grilled one side buttery and moist...half of what a grilled cheese should be. The fries with it were so burnt that I could only eat about half of em and they were gross. Here are the remnants. I needed pizza after. Seriously

In town for business 7/30/2024. Worst food we've ever had. Garlic parm wings were over cooked and not fresh with no flavor. Mac & cheese tasted like it came from a box doused with onion powder!! Fish fry was horrible greasy, not fresh and flavorless. Fries were greasy and soggy. We waited 25 min and spent $60 for trash. Threw most of it away. Waste of money!! Terrible experience!!!

Prepare to wait over 45 minutes for food. This place treats food delivery workers awfully. I don't need security breathing down my neck or very rude bartenders when I'm just trying to do my job, or even as a customer myself.

Wanted wings for 2 weeks. I work 80hr weeks 😫... called at 1130 to see if they still were serving. Was so happy they did till 130am.. got there by 12am. Ordered wings and fries.. patrons came in after me got there food first.. my food came out cold... asked if they could re-cook them.. and add an order of beef nachos... nachos came out first... no meat!... wings came out at 1am... I've now been waiting over an hour ... i didnt touch anything but the fries... had 3 drinks.. cost me $64 ... Horrible experience!!!! I promise I and 50 of my friends and as many as I can tell will never be back... oh, I've been in restaurants 31yrs..I'll go to firehouse instead... better customer service and plain respect for hard working people!!!

The Facemelter is one of my favorite sandwiches ever! Every time I order it I look forward to it so much, the only downfall is the bottom piece of bread usually gets soggy. I decided to order tonight after working all day and really wanting the sandwich. I dont know if I upset the cook because I ordered last minute through Grub Hub or because I asked for the bread on the side, but I would have rather you declined my order then send me a build your own sandwhich. Really didn't appreciate that.

Tonight we ordered the chicken tenders, SMOTHERED fries, and lovebird chicken sandwich. The chicken tenders were so overcooked they were hard. The lovebird sandwich was actually decent however, it had a chicken tender on the sandwich not a full chicken breast for a chicken sandwich. The "SMOTHERED" fries are descripted as fries with beer cheese, bacon, and scallions on their website and grubhub. They even include an awesome photo of what the customer should expect! How nice! The "SMOTHERED" fries were soo sad looking upon arrival. Oh....and the "SMOTHERED" fries?? No beer cheese. I'm sorry?...Yes, you heard me correctly. NO BEER CHEESE. But it was "SMOTHERED" with a tablespoon of lovely unmelted sprinkle cheese. The best!! Haa! It looks like someone gave up on life when they made this. I spent more time on this review then they did on the $10 "SMOTHERED" fries. And you think its done, right? Nope! It gets better. We called to tell them about the order and the employee who answered said "Our SMOTHERED fries don"t have beer cheese". Well, I think we established this notion when we told you the "SMOTHERED" beer cheese fries were not "SMOTHERED" with beer cheese. They weren't even SMOTHERED!! Even if you were to run out of beer cheese (which wasn't the case according to our employee letting us know) you would call the customer and see if the customer is okay with an altered menu item. You would then smother it with an alternate cheese. Here is another clue... we also asked for EXTRA BEER CHEESE and paid extra for it. Now, wait? The customer is asking for extra beer cheese? But we don't have it. I wonder why they are asking for EXTRA beer cheese? Thats so weird because we don't put beer cheese on our "SMOTHERED" beer cheese fries.🤔 I'll include the "SMOTHERED" fries picture with their own description and the sad piece of life we received. False advertisment much?

HIT OR MISS. I’ve gotten food from this place that was incredible. But the last time I ordered, everything was terrible. I can’t drop 80+ dollars for three people for takeout food that is subpar. I’ve gotten the face melter sandwich previously, it was amazing. I got it last night, the beef was so tough I had to chew for a long time. I couldn’t eat it. 22 dollars wasted. I also added a 4 dollar up charge (twice!!) for loaded cheese fries with my sandwich. They were not loaded, they didn’t have the cheese sauce. So disappointed. Not ordering there anymore.

The bartender was horrible . Our first time there was bad enough that we will never give that place a dime in the future . We came in sat at the bar . She then spent 10 minutes cleaning up dishes and glasses as we sat ready to order a drink and see a menu . She asked us if we were eating , we said probably. she then proceeded to get back to organizing , in slow motion . Basically dismissing us . Then 4 others came in and went to the back area . They came back to bar and ordered drinks and food while we sat quietly until we finally after 15-20 min said the hell with this. I’m assuming it has more to do with the bartender and not the establishment but either way . See ya .

Beware of racist bartenders! Ordered wings on a Sunday (10/12/25) around 9pm. When I walked up to the bar to pick up my order, a white lady bartender made direct eye contact with me, then proceeded to ignore me and go move some cups around and pretended to be busy? Then another white lady who had just finished singing karaoke and was clearly drunk, came behind the bar, looked me in the face, and ignored me as well. And yes, I was the only dark skin guy in there. So I went behind behind the bar to get my food that I could see behind the counter, which then one of them said “you can’t be behind the counter” to which I said “oh you notice me now? I’m here to pick up my order” Paid for my order and never going back. Management needs to do something about racist and drunk bartenders.

I really hate to write this, but I need to be honest. The food was decent, but definitely not worth the experience I had. I waited over two hours for a simple order, while a white waitress with two blonde braids (I didn’t catch her name) seemed to attend to everyone else except me and the other Black customers who were also waiting nearby. When I finally approached her to ask about my food, I was extremely polite. I actually used to enjoy coming to Angry Goat, especially on Sundays for karaoke, so I tried to give the benefit of the doubt. But it was clear who was being prioritized and who was being overlooked. I’m not someone who usually complains online, but I’m tired. Tired of spending my hard-earned money in places where I’m not treated with basic respect. That experience was the last straw for me. I won’t be back, and if you’ve ever been in a similar position, think long and hard about parting with your money at this establishment.

06/23/24 I often order from here for my family because it's local. I opened my plate to find two pieces of charred meat that didn't equal a whole burger. I called...which normally I wouldn't do and was told, "the meat is weighed." Well, all I can say is this time it was weighed in mg's not oz's! My kids' burgers weren't much better & the fries were soggy! $60 for literal scraps! One of the owners was supposed to call but, that didn't happen. I honestly can't believe the plate I got made it out of the kitchen! It was that shameful. The food has been on decline over the last year & it looks like it's at the end of the road!
