The best place around rit! The food was tasty and there were more than I assumed there would be, the owner is friendly and patient, it was furnished nicely and relatively quiet. I spent about $35 and it was enough to feed 2-3 people.
Owner is very friendly. Food is delicious. I also got an off the menu chicken parmesan sandwich. Definitely will need to keep coming back for more! Not going to find a delicious halal chicken parm anywhere else!
I love this place! Ate here twice. The food is fresh and tastes homemade. The owners and staff are extremely warm and accommodating. The chai is delicious too. I will be back often.
My mom and I just ate here! The food was fantastic and the staff are friendly! Asef and Shagufta are doing a great job here! The address listed takes you to the wrong place, it is next to Dollar Tree in the South Town Plaza!
Walked in for a family dinner of 3, the owner recommended delicious food and he was attentive and courteous. Our order came out fresh and quickly, and our dessert was perfect.
I had the most delightful experience at this place. The owner is incredibly kind and even treated us to a complimentary dessert. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Extremely flavorful food, kind and gracious owner and staff...amazing experience. A different menu each day makes it unique and exciting. Please visit this restaurant it is amazing we will be back again and again!
We eat here regularly and the food is great.. It reminds us of home and we always look forward to visiting Jugnoos..
Spectacular food, the BEST rice and naan bread in town, a diverse and delicious menu, and the most friendly and comforting service around. We felt so at home...I cannot recommend this place enough!!
Beef Paya & Halwa Puri was really good. Quantities of each dish were more than enough for one average person.
Authentic Pakistani home cooked food. We had Kofta saalan, channa, and shammi kabab. Shammi were the best. I will definitely go back.
I just went here for the first time, the food was amazing and the staff are so nice and made me feel welcome. The address listed takes you to bruegerrs bagels but they are located next to the Dollar Tree! Give them a try!!
Best haleem ever! Come on the weekends for their haleem. It’s a real Pakistani haleem. You won’t find this anywhere in town!
Fantastic food all the time..
This place will feel like home. The food was delicious, like home made. We had chicken biryani, chiken curry, naan and sheekh kebab, everything was favorful, delicious. Spices were not overwhelming. One of the best desi food I ever had. Uncle is such a sweet heart. A small family owned business. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to try desi food. Gulab jamun was delicious. And ended with authentic tea. Jugnoos is a remainder that good food doesn't need a fancy setting – it's about heart and soul, and this place has it in abundance.
Wow, absolutely amazing food. I came to the restaurant for the first time around 8:30pm at night. They close at 9:30pm. Upon getting there. The gentleman in the front was extremely nice and helped me order the food. I ended up ordering chicken biryani, keema paratha, naan, chicken Tikka, seeing kabob and the meatball Parm sandwich. Every thing that I got was really good. The chicken biryani especially tasted amazing. Food took about an hour to make because it was fresh. But everything so far tasted homestyle. Will definitely come again.
Jugnoos, a gem of a Pakistani restaurant in Rochester! Being South Asian myself and a medical student away from home for three years, the nostalgia hit hard with every bite. The flavors transported me back home, and as someone who struggles with replicating traditional Pakistani dishes, this place surpassed expectations. The beef nihari, shami kebab, and kebab roll were impeccable—bursting with authentic taste. The spice level was perfect for those accustomed to traditional fiery flavors, but they kindly adjust it if you prefer milder. The staff, incredibly kind, prepared the most divine chai that perfectly complemented the meal. The warmth in their service matched the richness of the food. It's a small establishment, hidden yet so deserving of more patrons. I usually don't write reviews, but Jugnoos truly deserves the recognition. Let's spread the word about this culinary haven!
The food is amazing and fresh and the owner is so friendly and helpful. He answers all my questions about the different dishes and offers a sample for me to try. I highly recommend this restaurant it has a warm modern atmosphere, prices are very reasonable, and the food is delicious 😋
I visited this place last Saturday. It was an amazing experience. In spite of the fact that me and my family arrived at 10 AM and they start serving at 11 AM, I was amazed by the hospitality of owner Mr Asif and Mrs Asif. They served us the food promptly and everything was super delicious. The ambience of this restaurant is amazing and peaceful. Cleanliness 10/10, Taste 10/10 , Hospitality 10/10. It's the best desi restaurant in Rochester. Must visit!
Went with a group of 5 and ordered multiple different menu items. Restaurant owner was very kind and was happy to help with the menu and recommendations for the day. All the food was delicious and very flavorful, would highly recommend. Owner and server were very attentive through the meal.
One of the best Restraunt s I’ve been to in a long while. Definitely recommended it. Definitely try their chicken Biriyani. And very nice people.
This restaurant is OUTSTANDING!!! Very pleasant place where, I love to take my family. The Owner is SUPER!!! down to earth and a very genuine person. Food is pricey but very DELICIOUS!!! Location is impeccable for us; right next to Altitude. I will definitely recommend to all my family, friends and my peers at work.
Halwa puri reminds me of Lahore. What an authentic taste! In the end, I asked for chaiy and it turned out to be a karak chaiy which brought back memories from Pakistan .chicken qeema paratha was like a home made paratha. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and will be coming back soon!!
Best food in rochester so far. Very kind owners.
Very friendly staff food was incredibly fresh nice spice to food. If you're not used to this spicy key them know, they always accommodate. Never disappointed when I come here
Great authentic Pakistani food.
First timer for Pakistani food and loved it. Chicken briani comes with boned chicken and I'm a lazy eater and suggested they offer a boneless version. Mixed the amazing ground chicken dish with the briani. Pakistani kabobs (pan fried patties) differ from my version of a speared kabob but were excellent. One order of naan is enough for 2.
Great food and great service both times I've eaten there. Their high quality food and homestyle cooking is a refreshing change of pace from the franchised, mass-produced food found along Jefferson Road. It's definitely worth a stop.
Second time here, and it's even better than our first! We ordered the beef masala, chicken curry, samosas, naan and gulab jamun. We loved everything!! Preferred the masala over curry, but both were delicious. I will always order samosas, and my bf will always order gulab jamun whenever we come here. We will be coming back often!
Best pakistani food in town. Great Kababs, Paratha's, naan, biryani you name it.
The food was delicious. The owners were very friendly. We tried their Sunday brunch platter and beef kebabs. The mango lassi was spot on too. Must try for authentic Pakistani food!
All Food is halal and very tasty. Pricey but good. Restaurant is impeccable; like an upscale reataurant. They even have space for prayers. So far, we have done take out; but, my family and I will 100% be regular customers there.
Very nice restaurant with great food. The beef paya was spicy and delicious. The bread was fresh and soft. Very convenient location in the plaza. I will definitely be a returning customer and will tell my friends about this place.
Amazing pakistani food. Best taste in town. Good place for dine in for the family. We ordered biryani and dall; of course wity tasty naan. Food was delicious 😋 I would definitely recommend to try.
Food was amazing and it felt like I was having a meal back home! Like all good things, their food takes some time. So, order ahead if you can. It is definitely worth the wait!
Nice cozy corner restaurant with excellent food. The owner was very friendly and walked through the menu with my friend who was new to Pakistani food. Had the channa masala and wasn't disappointed in the slightest. Highly recommended.
Authentic Pakistani food. We ordered chicken biryani, chicken nihari, seekh kebab, chapli kebab, and chicken tikka. All the dishes were very delicious. The owner was very friendly and courteous. It's a must visit place.
My family helped my younger brother move in for college, and we looked for genuine Pakistani cuisine. Very tasty food, generous portions and friendly owner. Highly recommend
I can't express properly how much of a hidden gem this restaurant is. The food is all homemade, and contains a blend of flavors and spices that could easily pit it against the trendiest restaurants in this city. I almost don't want to tell people about it and keep it a secret. However, I promised the wonderful lady who made my food tonight that I would leave an honest review. The only thing that can compete with the food is their amazing 'at home' service. 5 stars across the board. (Get the samosa chat)
Tried Jugnoos for the first time, and the experience was absolutely amazing! Although I've not had a lot of Pakistani food in my life, I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend the naan and the beef paya—they were both very good. The biryani was also delicious. Great flavors! Will definitely like to come back.
Authentic Pakistani flavor and great halal food. It's like stepping into a little Pakistan within Rochester, New York!
The food is SOOOO GOOD!! Their Daal and chicken curry is amazinggggg
I had paye here, and it was absolutely delicious! The broth was rich and flavorful, the meat was super tender, and everything was perfectly seasoned. You can tell they put a lot of care into making it just right.
Amazing experience!! The halwa poori and paye were outstanding, the meethi lassi is to die for!!
This place was absolutely phenomenal!!! The service was nothing but the best and the people who serve you are so very kind! They bring a nice atmosphere to the place they work at and make anyone feel welcome with their presence! The food itself is set at a reasonable price and the portions are quite big for what you pay for. The bathroom was very clean and the seating arrangements are clean as well! They keep trying new menu items and we were served a mango smoothie which was a literal delicious delight! Everything is made out of scratch and you can tell they really pour their hearts out into the food they make and we need more restaurants around that are like that!!!! These people have such wonderful big hearts and souls and I hope they stick around for the long run. If you ever would like to try a new interesting food place give this one a try!!!! ABSOLUTELY A 10/10 I will be coming back again!
Delicious and delightful. An adorable and affordable place to eat. Doing an early Mothers Day dinner and we came to the right place. Food is so tasty and unique. A definite must try!! You won’t be disappointed! Service and selection was easy and wonderful. They also have delicious ice cream bars and a little gift shop in the works, That is all authentic!!! I highly recommend this place!
Great home cooking taste. Asef is very friendly and polite. Food is Halal, has an authentic Pakistani taste and portions are good. Prices are reasonable and below other Indian restaurants in the area. Calling ahead will save you time because everything is made fresh. Definitely recommend it!
I can't stop raving about Jugnoos! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly, setting the tone for a fantastic evening. We ordered naan-paya and biryani and were very skeptical first but stunned on the first bite. The aroma of authentic spices filled the air, and our taste buds were tantalized from the first bite of the paya, the tandoori naan were so authentic I felt I was eating in Lahore. Each spoonful was a burst of flavor, and the biryani was a true masterpiece, with fragrant rice and perfectly cooked chicken. The food was not a typical restaurant food, this was premium quality home-made food, no shortcuts! Waiting was so much worth it! The service was impeccable, with the owners going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. For an unforgettable dining experience filled with delicious food and exceptional service, look no further than Jugnoos! Alhumdolillah finally a good halal restaurant, family owned and home-made tasting food.
Wonderful food and the owner and his wife are lovely people. Very attentive to what you want and willing to teach you about good Pakistani dishes. Great vegetarian offerings too. Plan a visit soon!
We have taken out this delicious food and finally decided to dine in. I never knew what Pakastani food was until we took a chance and tried it. It is delicious. Asif, the owner, is very pleasant and helpful. He made our visit relaxing, knowledgeable and extremely satisfying. The atmosphere is bright, cheery and clean, the food is great.
Delicious and authentic! Loved the level of spice. There is a lack of good Indian food in the area and this restaurant definitely hit the spot. I ordered keema sabji and naan. The portions will last me for a few meals! I wanted to try the Kheer but it was a little expensive - maybe next time! Excited to try the breakfast and chai next! I’ll also bring my family here when they come to visit.
An excellent place to eat in or order out. Authentic Pakistani foods. Highly recommend their Halwa Puri, Haleem and various Parathas.
This has been one of our favourite go to places. The food is incredible. And the owner is very friendly as well. They serve authentic Pakistani cuisines. It's much more appreciated for South East Asian taste buds.
Got the chicken biryani, beef biryani, and the keema paratha. Beef biryani reminds me of my mother’s which is my all time favorite meal. Loved this place so much!
I myself own a restaurent but I got a chance to visit rochester and tried jugnoos food. Mr asif was really nice person and the food was excellent. this place is a must try if u are craving for pakistani food
A new favorite Rochester spot! Delicious food and lovely people. Would absolutely recommend!
I have been into this Restaurant several times- Every time i got the Cordial service and Food Quality was excellent. The owner personally ensure the customer gets the best service, He is an amazing person, chef is Amazing. This is one of my Favorite eating place
The food here is delicious. My partner and I ordered the chicken kebabs, kheer, daal, and roti. The food was flavored well, kept at a good temperature and the service was amazing. Everything tasted amazing. The portions were also huge! The owner was extremely friendly and helped us decide on what to order. Will definitely be coming back!!
First time trying out jugnoos. been looking for a authentic Pakistan restaurant and this one is it. I had chana masala with shami kabob and it's was awesome. Felt like being back home eating home-made food. Flavors are great. Prices are great. So glad I found this place. Will be back here to explore more of the menu. Thank you for providing great Pakistani food.
I had the most amazing dining experience at this Pakistani restaurant in Rochester, NY! The authenticity of the flavors in their chicken and beef biryani and halwa puri is truly outstanding. Each bite transported me straight to Pakistan. I'm excited to explore more dishes on their menu, as I'm sure they'll be just as delicious. But what truly sets this place apart is the warm hospitality and kindness of the owner, Asif Bhai.
This is an amazing place to have fresh desi food. The taste never disappoints and the owners are the nicest, always paying special attention to customers. This is my go to place for all Pakistani food cravings. Definitely have to try it!
Small family owned business. The uncle and auntie were very accommodating and kept the place open for us because we were coming from far and were a large group. The karahi chicken was very tasty and the naan were super fluffy and fresh with butter on them. We also got chanay salan and the mixed kabob platter. But karahi and naan were the best. Food was fresh. The restaurant ambience was very simple and basic.
Sitting here, with family after finishing a delicious meal I reflect on the experience. Jugnoos, a real Pakistani restaurant, tucked away in the former South Towne plaza; it’s a real gem of a restaurant. A small business serving flavor, taste and amazing texture that fills the stomach with joy. The palate is stimulated by the array of spices and different levels of heat and herb. Also the Chai tea was a great way to end the meal. Next time I’m definitely taking pictures of the food lol. Remember if the table is quiet but ppl keep eating the the food is truly delicious but also, filled with love. Must come and eat. I’m definitely coming back again.
Stumbled upon this place as we were driving past. We were greeted warmly by Asef (owner) he made us feel welcome and was friendly and helpful. The place is well laid out, clean and has plenty of seating. The service was very quick. We ordered Halwa Puri and some tea. Our meal was freshly made, delicious and flavourful. Reminded me of home 🇬🇧 and tasted just like my mums. The portion size was good. However next time I won’t be sharing! Looking forward to going back to try other dishes soon. I would highly recommend this place. There is ample free parking available.
I got the veggie biryani to go and it was even better than I expected. The portion was huge and the order was really filling. The staff was super friendly too. They’ve got other vegetarian options, so I’ll definitely be back to try more.
The food here was amazing. We literally had no more space to eat but could not stop. Definitely recommend the aloo paratha.
I was craving for authentic Pakistani restaurants ever since my move to NY, but couldnt find any in my vicinity. One of my very good friends recommended Jugnoos a few weeks back, so I was wanted to try its food in person. It was an absolute pleasure meeting the owners, Asif Uncle and Shagufta Aunty at their restaurant today!! They both welcomed me with warmth and affection. I ordered Chicken Karahi with Nan as my main dish and it was so up to point👌 For dessert, I had Gulab Jaman, which was a cherry on the top. The ambiance was pretty decent too. I am planning to visit again for desi breakfast mainly halwa puri🤗 and Chai!! Highly recommended !!! This place needs much more recognition for the owner’s hospitality and authenticity. (P.s I got Kheer (rice pudding) as a complimentary free dessert in the end as well😊) Update: I revisited for having authentic Pakistani breakfast (chai, halwa puri, cholay aloo salan) and the taste was just amazing 👏👏👏👏
Authentic Pakistani & North Indian food in Henrietta you can experience in a relaxed atmosphere served with usual Eastern hospitality. We had goat curry, chicken biryani, chicken seekh kebabs served with hot tandoori nan. Each dish was full flavoured leaving you with a warm feeling inside. For dessert we had Halwa. We will be returning whenever we are lucky to be in the area.
Finally a Pakistan based restaurant in Rochester so expectations were high & so far so good.. The beef biryani was tasty to its expectations. They have much improved over time so I'll surely be giving my business again.. Asif Bhai is a very humble & down to earth person. Thank you for the delicious food, my family loved it.
Amazing Pakistani restaurant in Rochester! Recommend the Chicken Aachar, Biryani, and Keema Paratha. Absolutely amazing! The chicken tikka is not up to Pakistani standards, but everything else is fantastic.
I came here on a Wednesday and had the Chicken Keema platter. There was so much flavor I ate the whole thing and the serving sizes are huge! The naan that they have is the real deal - I’ve never had better naan in my life. I will definitely be coming back on a different day to try a different specialty meal. 11/10 give it a try!
Really great atmosphere and food, especially the keema- Very good authentic food with nice customer service. Totally recommend- I got biryani, chapli kebab, keema, and naan

Amazing food (coming from a South Asian!). The restaurant is run by lovely people. I eat here several times a week and it's always a delight.
Food was great (I’d recommend the samosas) and was packed well for my to-go order. The staff were kind and helped me and my friend who had never ate Pakistani food before choose what to eat.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jugnoos is an excellent Pakistani restaurant with truly authentic flavors. The biryani is rich and perfectly spiced, the naan is fresh and soft, and the beef paya is absolutely delicious. Portions are generous and very satisfying. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for real Pakistani food done right, Jugnoos is definitely worth a visit.
Stopped by due to good reviews for authentic Pakistani food (which I've never had before), and... yes, please. The naan was spectacular, the rice fluffy with a hint of lemon, and the beef nihari was so good I had to force myself to stop eating with half of it left -- I was already stuffed full. Super delicious, friendly fella at the counter, and a cute shop-like decor. What more do you want? I'll definitely be back. Portion size is enough for two meals; 10 minutes after lunch and I'm already looking forward to the leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Biryani tastes great but it is too spicy. It will be awesome if the spicy level could be adjusted.
1st - really good tasting food. Owners were very friendly - nice welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Nothing special about the looks but we will return because of the food and owners. It would be nice to have a description of each type of meal for those that aren't familiar with the Pakistani food style.
Got takeout food, Beef Keema Masala with naan and samosa chaat. the restaurant only serves chx keema on Wednesday, but the man behind the counter (guessing the owner) made beef Keema on my request (great service) and it tasted pretty good. Naan was okay, a bit doughy for my taste. My only recommendation is to increase the portion size of beef keema for $16 it wasn't enough to fill me up and I am a light eater. Also, there was no cutlery included in takeout, luckily I got it from the hotel I was staying at. 😳 Chaat is good.
Food is average, portion size is small no worth the price.
We ordered the family Kabob platter. The seekh kabab and chapli kabab were below average . Seemed like some processed , only warmed up kababs. Chicken tikka was extremely dry. Only nice thing about this platter was the Chutni (dip) that came with it. We were disappointed.
We visited an authentic Pakistani restaurant and ordered several dishes, including beef biriyani, naan, allo paratha, chicken curry, and shami kabab. While the naan, paratha, and kabab were average, the chicken curry fell short of expectations. Additionally, the beef biriyani and other menu items were overpriced.
Tried Jugnoos for the first time, and the experience was just average. Had high hopes from the place, but the food was not up to the mark. The chicken used in the chicken karahi tasted weird. The chicken chappal kebab was cold in the middle as if frozen ones were warmed up. The biryani was below average, too.
This is our second time visiting Jugnoos restaurant, and we wanted to see if the portion size this time was as small as last time. The taste is still good, but the portions were not plentiful, and the prices weren't very reasonable. We ordered the beef paya and chicken curry, but neither dish came with a side. The beef paya, priced at $16.99, contained two pieces of bone, each about 2 inches in size. The chicken curry, as seen in the picture, was served in a small bowl either with visibly little meat inside, priced at $15.99. Since neither dish came with a side, we had to order naan and rice separately, which totaled $8. If the rice and naan were included with each dish, we might find it more acceptable. Naan tastes very authentic and fresh. Basically, everything was purchased separately, like water. Overall, despite the food tasting decent, the portions were small, and the prices were high, making it less worthwhile. Additionally, there wasn't much service since we had to pick up our food from the counter. Despite these factors, we still left an 18% tip, bringing the total bill to $56.

Chaye was the only good thing. Serving size is a little too small for what is charged and presentation is really lacking. Taste of food was a little below average.
Disproportionate portions, chicken was a little dry, Berlins (even with increased prices) was better. Rice was good but they give you so much and not a lot of chicken.

I got 6 Naan Frozen /heated up Chana and 4 halawa puri total definitely not worth the money very disappointed unfortunately there's no good pakistani resturant in Rochester I have gone to Buffalo,Toronto ,Niagara falls best food Authentic pakistani food and very reasonable price wise.sorry until I see full menu website won't be going there again because they charge what they want he didn't wanted to take credit card because he have to pay 2% fee so he ask if I have cash which I do pay with cash. Seriously
NEVER Again at the top of my worst experience in trying Pakistani food. Weeks old was served and the customer service don’t get me started. I’d give negative stats if I could.
The food was not fresh, it was microwaved. Didn’t have half of the items on the menu; didn’t have proper utensils to eat with, opened the restaurant to serve in disposable plates and spoons. The food was oily and so watery cause it was microwaved. The naan they served was made out of whole wheat cause they didn't have all-purpose flour... Bbq chicken was all burned; we were so upset! The experience was so bad and we didn't eat the food at all was a waste of money! Wouldn't recommend it!
I don't think he likes people of other colors. The food that he passed on to me. I feel that he figured I'd never had Portuguese food before. There's wonderful portuguese people and being a person of color we do know what it should taste like and what a meal looks like
I ordered chicken curry and chicken biryani and both were really disappointing.
If I had to I would rate this restaurant a 0/5 but unfortunately, we can’t do that. The food was half cooked. You could literally taste that it was frozen food and wasn’t warmed up right. We bought a few stuff and spent $105. We all started feeling sick after.
