REV BBQ

I got the smoked char siu pork belly on special, with a side of beans and mac n’ cheese. Everything was excellent with a great home-made feel, and a kind staff at the front with speedy service. I’ll be back soon and would absolutely recommend the outpost as a lunchtime treat.

Great customer service, and great food. The brisket was better than the beef bbq I had in Dallas. The pimento mac and chz was delicious. Some hot vinegar would take the collard greens to the next level.

Fantastic BBQ. Pulled Pork, Brisket, collards, and cheesy grits for lunch. It’s so hard to find brisket cooked well and sliced well. They hit it out of the park. Will definitely be returning again.

We stopped in yesterday and let me tell you this was the absolute best bbq we’ve had in Rochester. Every single bite we took my fiancé and I looked at each like wow. It’s incredible!! We’re going again tonight! It’s all I thought about today. Delicious!!!!

Best Barbecue in Rochester!!! Everything was so good. I had 2 meats with Mac and Cheese. The ribs had a lot of meat on them and very tender and brisket was also very tender. They give you sauces on the side but the meat was so tasty, you don't need additional sauce on them. Everything, including the corn bread was so delicious. Very pleasant casual atmosphere for lunch with friendly, helpful staff. I will be returning for dinner soon. The lunch area is located in the plaza next to Tony D's while the dinner restaurant is in a separate building.

This place is awesome. Don't find southern BBQ like this up here often or at all. Very quickly becoming one of my favorites. Haven't come across anything I haven't liked yet. (The brisket is good, but definitely try the turkey and pulled pork, it's to die for) All the sides are great too. The service is top notch. We are kind of a pain when we go in and order proteins by the quarter pound (it's cheaper that way if you dont want 4 pounds of meat everytime you go lol, they are always happy to work with us in getting what we want. The only gripe I have with the place is they dont have a fountain for drinks, you need to buy it by the bottle.

Third visit. I'm not a food critic nor am I a very good cook, but I do know great food and a cool place. This place is good shit. Everyone is friendly, all the games and shows are on low and today they had the Eagles and the Who playing in the background. The brisket is thick, tender and just fatty, the ribs have the ends (my favorite part), and the chicken is perfectly seasoned. The bbq sauces are perfect - not too sweet, mustardy, or vinegary. My cats love the ribs, btw. Wine & beer soon. We are in the land of Dinosaur BBQ and I would never diss the OG cult favorite, but I would strongly suggest you leave Dinosaur to the tourists and get yourself to the Rev.

I took one star off on the food because the sides need some work. The tomato cucumber salad was bland. The cornbread tastes great, but it's a bit crumbly. All that being said, their bbq is really, really good. Since this is their main star, it's definitely worth the trip. I would definitely come again.

I ended up getting the two meats and two sides for $27. The ribs were fantastic and fell off the bone. The brisket was good. Both side sauces were good. The pit beans were amazing! The mashed potatoes were really good. Not hot at all. Even though they're called Cajun. And the cornbread is out of this world. My friend ended up getting two extras as she left.

I was last here when it was the Revelry, but this is a new experience. We had a drink at the bar, great bartenders. We sat upstairs it was a bit cold, but the food was great. I had ribs with collard greens and mac an cheese. The collard greens were the best I've had and I'd have to say the same for the ribs. A surprise for me as I didn't expect the meal to be so good.

i’ve been to the reverly and loved it so i knew when they switched to BBQ it would be fantastic. The meal i had for dinner was absolutely incredible. no words to describe just how flavorful and delicious it was. definitely recommend the texas twinkies, and the platter with their pork ribs (so tender) / sausage ( so flavorful, full of cheese) i got a side of their pimento mac (amazing) & cajun mashed potatoes. my friend got pulled pork (melt in your mouth) and brisket!!!! corn bread is so moist. everything was a 10/10. be back soon for sure!!!!! :)

Decent BBQ and unique side dishes. Flavors are very good. Everything was cooked and seasoned well. The portions are a bit small and the cost is high, so you might leave thinking the value isn't great. It's definitely worth trying but not my favorite BBQ joint.

Food was delicious. Service was standard issue cafeteria style. ( not a fan) Dining room was very cold that was not helped by the huge gusts of cold air that came in every time the door was opened. The steel chairs were hard and crazy cold as well. I’m sure it would be great in the summer when you can sit outside.

Ambience= 2. Cold and drafty inside. Every time the door opens, cold air passes along. That paired with with uncomfortable and cold metal chairs. Food= 9 quality of food was great Portion size= 8 portion size for lunch was about right. Price for portion size=2. $21 for 2 pieces of brisket and 2 normal sized sides. (Definitely no leftovers) And no complimentary water.

As my family and I walked in, we did not get the vibe of a barbecue place, but of the restaurant before, the revelry. We absolutely love dinosaur barbecue in the city, so we were excited to try a new place! We were so disappointed. Our waitress was nice and accommodating, no complaints there. I ordered the 1/4 chicken with Mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, as well as my children. I was appalled to see how HARD and honestly, dangerous the chicken was. The “Skin” was like plastic. The barbecue sauce was sweet, disgusting and vinegary. The chicken was like dead, washed up ropes that I literally had to choke down. My children’s food was the same way, so I know that it wasn’t just a mistake with the kitchen. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!!! GO TO DINOSAUR BARBECUE!!! My husbands beer also came 20 minutes late after the food, and his ribs tasted like a sweet vinegar weird taste. It was odd. If you enjoy good barbecue, sail clear from this place.
