We often eat here. The only negative is that their booths are set up so you sit too far from the table; it's not comfortable. It's much better to sit at a regular table.

Omg! The food is awesome here!!! Large variety of foods. Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine. All were excellent and the prices are fair. Restaurant is clean and the staff is courteous. 2 thumbs up!🍲🍲👍👍

We love this place! Such a large menu and everything is very fresh. Best lunch special around and cannot best the price. We specifically like that we can get sushi or Chinese food and either eat in with great service or get fast delivery.

I was very disappointed in Monday the 8th when I ordered house special fried rice and it was served cold and no shrimps in it. The waitress took it back to the kitchen and to my surprise brought back not even warm with the shrimps ice cold, like just out of the fridge. I been a customer for years and didn't want to create a scene in front of other customers. I'm always on the lookout for the best Chinese and pizza in the area. I stumbled upon them using grubhub delivery. My normal go to Chinese is lotus east in Mt sinia (food is excellent)but tried this place because they also have Thai and Japanese (sushi). Food was excellent, from the fried rice to the sushi rolls. I've ordered from them approximately twice a week every week in the past month. Lol Top notch every time.

We went there Christmas Eve without a reservation. A party of nine. They bent over backwards to accommodate us. Even though they where very busy. The food was delicious and the prices fair. I would recommend Golden Chopsticks to anyone

Exterior and interior are just a little dated and worn, but that is LITERALLY the only negative. Super fresh food, sushi was great. Service was immaculate. I eat out often and am a server, I notice how often my table is cleaned and checked on they, they did an excellent job. There is always food in front of you (starting with complementary crispy Chinese noodles and sweet and sour) and tea is served for free to every table upon arrival. Finally, for two lunch specials (including soup and rice), an alcoholic special drink and a speciality sushi the entire bill came to UNDER $50. Unbelievable. This is the place, don’t hesitate.

We live in Middle Island, which is about five miles from Golden Chopsticks. We are frequent eat-in diners there. With the eat-in facility being closed, we decided to try the takeout, knowing that takeout with a five mile trip may not be a good idea....... Well, what a surprise. The meals were beautifully presented, and the food was perfect when we got it home. Besides, the order and pick up process was also sanitary and perfect in every way. Needless to say, we have been back several times. To give an update: We have been doing take out at Golden Chopsticks almost once a week. As always, the food is outstanding. High quality fresh ingredients. The meat, fish and vegetables are prepared to perfection. Definitely not your average take out place. 10/09/22 - We are still regular customers, eat in, and take out. What more can I say. Tonight's dinner was one of the best that we've had anywhere. By the way, it was delivered.

Always great food. Completely different then your normal take out places. So much fresher and better quality. The boneless spare rib sauce was so different. Had a nice ginger, garlic taste and not an overly sweet sauce. The General Tsos is always crispy and never soggy. The fried dumplings were so tasty!

Our number one go to, for eating fine Chinese quizines. The staff is so kind and welcoming and the food is simply outstanding every single time. Fresh and consistently spot on. When we visit our previous area of residence in NY, it's not complete until we visit the Golden Chopsticks.

I'm not a big fan of Cantonese food, but I go with family and friends often, who are fans of such food , and they says for this area of long island the food is exceptional. I know a few who travel an easy 25 minutes to get there too; passing up other such sytle food joints in their area. My food choices / dishes are very limited and most "Chinese" food joints are ok with me, but evidently this place; if you're into this style food is worth the drive.

We are pretty new to the area and decided to finally try Golden Chopsticks. Of course, we started with the wonton soup, which was absolutely delicious. They serve the thinner noodle wonton full of meat. They’re small, but delicious… the broth is very, very good and clean. I went with one of the rolls that is on a special menu…. The Friday ___ roll. Shrimp, shrimp tempura, and lobster salad inside a thin slice of avocado outside with black and red fish eggs. Incredibly yummy. My husband went with a chef special, Capitol Chicken. He said that the chicken was so tender, and that the sauce was really good. This restaurant serves Chinese, Japanese, and Thai and will be our go to place whenever we want Asian food. I only gave it three stars for atmosphere because it appears that it used to be a diner or other type of restaurant and they just haven’t finished making it look authentic Asian. But I really don’t care about the atmosphere as much as I do about good, fresh food.

While looking for a Thai restaurant near Waiting River, Google recommended this restaurant.. They have sushi and Sashimi as well as a full Cinnese restaurant. The servers were friendly and attentive. My steamed vegetables and brown rice were nicely prepared with the sauce on the side as I asked. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms.

Excellent Chinese Restaurant! Golden Chopsticks is a fixture in the area. We’ll know for its delicious Asian food as well as its attentive service. My wife and I consider this our comfort food, the restaurant is homey and welcoming, the food is always reliably tasty and the wait staff treats everyone like family. They have a full bar and good drink menu. As for food, I highly recommend the Phoenix and Dragon entree. They offer takeout as well as eat in. If you are in the area, you have to try Golden Chopsticks!

We have been going here every New Year’s Eve pre party. This place was a zoo. The place across the street was not. One of the best within a 10 mile radius. We drive 15 minutes instead of down the block. Yes, the old place was top shelf, but The menu has a nice variety of dishes and they always are good. Recommended for sure.

This place is a very good restaurant. The food is great. They give you big portions. The atmosphere is nice. The staff is friendly. It's the only place that my mom can find her favorite dish. Coconut chicken.

I come here a lot. Best hot and sour soup around. Ask for pork in it. Specials on Mon. and Tues. Garlic hot wings are my favorite. You get a dozen, I always ask for extra sauce. Nothing fancy, just good food at a reasonable price.

Good General Tso's Chicken and great noodles and duck sauce. Teriyaki chicken is good too. The only thing is I feel the staff can be a bit more friendly. I feel like they watch their tables and always feel rushed. Other than that, very good food.

1st time there. Food and Service so so. I recomend Lotus Esst nearby while a little higher priced is much better atmosphere, service and taste.

The food was good especially the String Beans Szechuan Style. Only reason it wasn't a higher rating is because of my order for a full Peking Duck. Unfortunately it was not a full duck and it was a bit dry.

Could use a little upgrade on the outside , but give it a try. The staff was very nice. We had gone for the lunch menu. The Wonton soup was homemade and the broth was lovely. I had shrimp and cashews. Plenty of shrimp and the sauce was delicious! As was the fried rice, full of pork. My meal came with peppers which I pushed to the side as I don't like them crunchy. No problem...........The server said he would have them cooked more without me even asking. Plenty of food for only $7.00 Plus you get water and hot tea. My husband had sweet and sour chicken which he loved. We can't wait to go back. We live about 12 miles away.

Decent takeout food. Friendly staff. A little pricey but what isn't nowadays? We go here about 3 times a month and have never been disappointed. If I had to point out one thing they should address it would be sometimes the fried rice, although very good, trends to run on the oily side. Whenever we order we always tell them to take it easy on the oil and usually it isn't a problem but if we forget to mention it, it really does come out oily. So keep that in mind if you are going to try them for the first time. And their shrimp toast are amazing!

Pork egg rolls had NO pork in them. Wonton soup was tasteless, wontons were ok. Peppered steak was very good and pork fried rice was very good and overloaded with pork, maybe they should put some of that pork into the egg rolls!!

Decent asian food. They serve chinese, Japanese, and thai. We have been here a few times now and always get a good meal. Sometimes some of the food is missing some real flavor, but it is never bad. Service is always good.

Yikes!! Was going to try but after reading a few reviews it sounds & looks like this place does a good job when you eat INSIDE! When you order delivery it seems you get horrible food & even worse service?! Maybe they should look into being a dine in restaurant Instead of even having delivery if they are demanding tips for their drivers the way they do & snatching paid for food from children at their doorsteps because there was no tip being handed over! That's pretty disgusting & reason enough for me to go elsewhere! Although I've never tried I didn't want to give 0 stars so I chose to stick to the middle & not effect their rating too much but still wanted to mention way I won't even try to call for delivery! 🤷‍♀️

The entrees here were excellent, but the appetizers were a significant letdown. The Beef and Broccoli was a standout—tender beef and perfectly crisp, savory broccoli. The Lo Mein was equally successful, tasting fresh and al dente. However, the Egg Drop Soup was thin, watery, and bland. Similarly, the Egg Roll was excessively oily with an unpleasantly bitter filling. Order the main dishes, but skip the sides.

From the outside, the restaurant looks like a former diner. The inside, while clean, definitely needs to be updated. I started with the Wonton Soup. The broth was dark and rich, flavorful. The 3 Wontons were bite sized, but very good. For appetizers, we had the boneless spare ribs and chicken wings. My husband enjoyed the ribs, I didn't care for them. They were sliced thin and tender but the marinade had a weird taste, almost like Chinese 5 spice. The chicken wings were crisp and excellent. My husband had the House Filet Mignon in brown gravy. The meat was tender, he enjoyed it. His only complaint was the portion balance. There should have been more meat and less mushrooms. I had the Seafood World. It was very good. We also had a side of roast pork fried rice which was delicious. Overall it was solid chinese food and we will take out from here as well.

This place is a huge hit or miss... But the BIGESST miss or hit if rodents n such are your thing! Over the last few months this place has minor shutdowns & even limited usage space / operating hours to hide there pest issues. Sadly another Chinese joint gutted & gone, only left is what you see.....

Just moved into this area. First timer at Golden Chopsticks. Ordered the pork Lo Mein and it was extremely dry. Couldn’t finish it. However, their house noodles was definitely a hit. Also ordered 2 rolls, not worth a mention. Delivery was fast enough. For the type of restaurant it is, I was expecting a much elevated cuisine. I guess eating at the restaurant would be a much better experience.

IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW I WOULD - MAJOR HEALTH HAZARD - BESIDES THE MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF MSG - This is my 2nd time ordering food from this restaurant the first time went well and the food was excellent … today I ordered 2 sushi rolls , 1 LG beef fried rice 1 LG pork fried rice & sweet & sour chicken … when I got the food and opened the bag there was everything but the pork fried rice & 4 LG combo meals that I did not order … a few mins later the phone rings and it’s them saying we forgot your pork fried rice if you want it you can come pick it up so we said why would we do that if we just called for delivery by the way we have 4 dinners we did not order … he sounded surprised and said ok we will be there in a few mins to bring you the pork fried rice and to pick up the food … when the man came here to pick it up he was extremely rude and arrogant as if I did something wrong … mind you this food was in my possession in my house on my dinner table .. AND THEY TOOK IT BACK TO GIVE TO SOMEONE ELSE … imagine if the food simply fell on the floor in their restaurant from what I just told you all … do you think they would do the right thing and start over ? Or just throw it back in the pan or scoop it in a tray ?

Generic American Chinese food that lacks flavor. Not impressed. The only upside was that the staff was friendly and the rice was well cooked. It had been two years since I last went here and wanted to give them another chance. I won't again.

If I could leave no stars I definitely would! Steamed dumplings were cold in the middle and they didn't even come with the correct sauce. The cashier ignored my initial request for extra duck sauce when i first verbalized it as I was paying and I had to ask her again. She then proceeded to mumble something in Chinese as she threw it in my bag. These people are rude as f#*k and do NOT deserve ANY business. Do yourself a favor and order/go elsewhere.

I ordered the stirfry chicken. I got nothing but a bowl full of onions. It was the most disgusting dish I ever had from a Chinese restaurant before I would never go back there or recommend this place to anyone.

The worst possible meal I can possibly order from a Chinese restaurant was accomplished last evening.. the meat dish which was a beef dish was so tough that not one of the three people that were eating could bite into it.. the rice which was ordered both brown and a white rice never came it was just white rice. the wontons that we ordered came and they will like paste with a brown gooey glob on it totally not edible.... the general tso's chicken was the only edible part of the meal.. shortly I will be going back to the Golden chopstick to request my money back,,,

The quality and service has declined. From bland tasting food to wrong orders to shorting portions. GC has become a growing disappointment. I'm sure there are other places who can do better

Just got home with my order it was incorrect anf actually gave me shrimp in mu fried rice-lucky we’re not allergic! Had to make a second trip to get the CORRECT FOOD and the staff was Rude telling me its $40 worth of food. Not my fault you didn’t get the order right. Won’t be back!

Ordered take out on their website. Food took way more than an hour and a half to arrive and when it did arrive, the driver came back twice to tell us the order wasn't paid for, when it was already paid for through their online site and the bank account used to pay for the order showed the order had been charged. After showing the emailed receipt twice and even showing the bank account transaction record that showed the order was charged, we were all able to eat out lukewarm food. Left a bad first impression for people who just moved into the area.

COLD FOOD AND BAD TASTE Went to dinner with my wife and daughter. We ordered different seafood dinners expecting good tasting food. Much to my surprise, when my my order came and I tasted the scallops on my plate and they were cold. I could not believe it. The rest of the plate the food was fine in temperature. They took back my meal and heated up the scallops. When I started eating again, the food has a distinct bad taste. The manager came over and took the food back and told me to pick out something different and he would not charge me for the dinner. He did bring out new dish. We finished dinner and asked for check and the final bill came with the bad dish of food applied to my bill. I asked the manager about what had transpired and he just walked away. Upon paying the bill, I told the manager I would not return to his restaurant because of the food being terrible. He did not care at all. This is not the way to treat a customer, after two major mistakes were made. We did not go to his restaurant for this kind of treatment.

Absolutely awful. The restaurant owner argued on the phone after an employee entered the wrong address and wrong credit card number. After not knowing whether my card was charged or not for food I didn’t receive I had to physically go to the restaurant to confirm. The sad part is we ordered from them before. The only reason we truly ordered from them was because they were local and they delivered. However, we did stop going there because of the service and found another Chinese restaurant that has slightly better food. Shame.

We decided to try someplace new. We ordered scallion pancakes and some rice with jumbo shrimp pork and beef. Those we're ok. I also ordered sushi. The sushi wasn't that great but I finished it. Couple hours later I was vomiting and felt ill. I determined it was the sushi because my wife didn't eat it and she is fine.

Not happy! I am a vegan because of medical issues. I specified several times that I am vegan. I tasted my food, and guess what? Not vegan! When I called, the guy on the phone didn't apologize, or offer to have it remade and delivered, and told me that they could not refund the item on my card, and would give me a credit. He also insisted that it was vegan. I 100% know what chicken broth tastes like, and my soup was definitely was not coconut milk and water. It's a good thing it takes more than 1 spoonful to affect me. And, also that I'm not a vegan that would be distraught over having consumed animal.

i would give 0 stars if i could my 11 year old cousin ordered from this place for delivery.he only had a certain amount of money left from what his father gave him and he wanted chinese food. it came out more than excpected so he couldnt give a tip. they asked were his tip was and my cousin said he didnt have one atm and they snatched the bag of food out of his hand and left with the bag of food that was paid for.i went over to the place to asked why they treated my 11 year old cousin like that and there response was if he dont tip dont buy from us.. they also charged him delivery fee but when i went the store it said on the window free delivery. very disrespectful nasty people i do not recommend i understand they deserve a tip for good service but to disrespect my 11 year old cousin is not right. i been here multiple times to eat and i support there buisness after today i will no longer be going.

Placed an order for 5 meals and egg rolls totalling $78.00. Three of the meals were wrong. Ordered eggplant in garlic sauce but got broccoli in spicy garlic sauce. Ordered sesame chicken got general Thai spicy chicken. Ordered beef mei fun got roasted pork mei fun. Called to let them know and was told sorry. Nothing else was offered.

I used to enjoy the food here but last night ordered moo shoo chicken (greasy, barely any chicken, no flavor), sesame noodles (greasy, flavorless). I found what looked like a piece of wood in one dish! Spent $56 and threw it all out. Sad to see this restaurant go so downhill. Won't order from here again.

Just picked up my order of sesame chicken and it was terrible!! So dry and overcooked. Fried rice wasn’t very good either. This place used to be great but this is two times now the food has been awful

Lousy service, food was okay, somewhat bland. If you order a Japanese entree you can only have the Miso soup, not wonton. My Mom order shrimp terriaki was told couldn't have fried rice only white or brown. Needless to say when they brought out chicken terriyaki, we told them wrong dish. My husband and my food was delivered. Mom had to wait 8 minutes for her food, and she was hungry. No offer to give her something while she waits. She watched us eat, during the wait, didn't want any of what we had. While the waiter apologized it landed insincere given no attempt to provide something to hold her over, and no bill adjustment. I guess they didn't notice she was eating the crunchy noodles to satiate her hunger. Poor customer treatment. We won't be back!

Got takeout from here for a night in during my bachelorette party. The food was bland, dry, and made us all feel sick. Unfortunately, can't recommend at all.

I've been going to Golden Chopsticks ever since they opened. The last take out order my family had, when we got home after picking it up we realize that the fried dumplings had hardly even been fried. I was told that they would give us a credit for the dumplings the next time we went in there. We went there and the manager said that he had no record of any credit for the fried dumplings. Somewhere along the line this restaurant changed managers and or owners and the food and the service has gone downhill ever since then. I recommend that anyone who's considering ordering their to rethink your plan.

Ordered here for the first time and I will not be ordering again. The food was kind of bland. The only thing good was the chicken. My shrimp was unfalvorful. It just tasted like fish. Not only that but it took them almost an hour to deliver my food and the delivery guy had the nerve to ask me for a tip. I have him one, but I still found that pretty rude. And they’re over priced too. There’s better Chinese restaurants that are cheaper and will treat you with more respect than this one.

Our go to was bought by someone else and has had terrible food and attitude so we tried here since they are always recommended and raved about. This was our second try as we were super dissapointed the first time (chewy, dry chicken, cheap crab ragoons and thin and tiny wonton soup). We tried orange chicken and general tsao(?). Asked for extra sauce, one was so dry I got tired of hearing my other complain about it. The orange chicken looked the exact same- dry and the only difference was the pepper differentiating the two. Tasted absolutely nothing like orange chicken. When I picked it up they seemed friendly and they do have other options to dine in, but we won't be returning.

This was my first time getting food here and I Ordered their Chow Fun for takeout. and this is what I got. The food Rubbery, the noodles were all stuck together, and I’m pretty sure it was old food reheated & it made me feel sick. I did call to ask for broccoli instead, which was good. But I will not be ordering from here again :(

I got an order two seconds ago already you know that salmon .. should not be black it smelt so rotten. So I called because I got delivery to my home which they hung up on me because apparently the tip that I had offered even though it’s down the street from me was not, good enough which percentage wise it was. It’s so crazy they told me that I was on the phone for 15/ 20 minutes when I was just explaining to them what was happening meanwhile I have a documentary call log that it was actually lesson four minutes. I knew they always gave attitude but I did like their sushi, but I’ve never seen rotten sushi before my life that was actually black.

I used to buy from this restaurant quite regularly and at one point was very happy with the food. Unfortunately the food became very inconsistent to the point that sometimes it food tasted old or spoiled! Delivery times became terrible they would say it would be there in 45 minutes and it would show up an hour and a half later, if we called we got a very nonchalant uncaring "sorry" sounding like we were irritating them. So we stopped using them for approximately six months, last night we decided to order a delivery they told us 45 minutes and it came over an hour and a half later we called they said it would be there. It showed up most of the food was called including the soups the spare ribs look like they were gray and leftover from lunch, dry and tasted old we called them and the response was, "what's the problem now?" It takes a lot to make me call usually I'm overly patient but this place is just ridiculous. We will be no longer ordering from this restaurant. Also if this message would post with a negative star that's it what it would be getting but because it won't post at all if you don't choose a star I am forced to give it one star!
