Opinions de GK Mongolian BBQ Roseville
Love this place. They offer more ingredients than most other Mongolian BBQs. I really enjoy the lamb which most other places don't offer at lunch time. The veggies selection is also great. In addition to all the normal veggies, they had bok choy that I typically don't see. There is a good variety of sauces to add to your bowl. Was surprised to see they had Chinese BBQ sauce which actually has fish in it. The furniture is a little older looking but clean. The staff is friendly and cooks are as good. If you like Mongolian BBQ, you will like this place.
Food is ALWAYS incredible here but this time we met Sammie. She was beyond helpful and kind! She is an absolute pleasure and deserves a raise! As for food, super fresh ingredients and a large selection of veggies and sauces to make it your own. Always delicious.
Kids eat free 5 and under. Waiter filled up our drinks, both staff were very kind. Great food and good sauce directions 👍👍
The staff here is outstanding. All the cooks, the girls working the register, everyone is so kind and accommodating. I work in the same mall and come here 2-3 times/week. Price is reasonable, food is good. My go to lunch place when I'm at work.
The staff here are very welcoming and aware of everyone inside the business. Me and my family came in, and they immediately welcomed us and asked, "Take out or dine In." We dined in, so they preped a table for us and even asked if we needed a high chair, we did. As we customize our bowls with noddles and meats and veggies. There's a little line for the chef to cook it for us. As the chef handed our warm food we had our table ready for us. And the two lady waitresses were very friendly and consistently check on us. They even swapped our side dish which had pork for a veggie one. Which we really appreciate it since we don't eat pork. Very pleasant experience. We will definaly come back. The food was delicious.
Nice and clean. Pretty quick. The sesame mochi balls came out SUPER hot and delicious! We will definitely go back!
Probably my absolute favorite Mongolian BBQ ever! The choices are in a horseshoe shape, making it easy to mix the order of your ingredients, rather than in a straight line, where you're forced to fill your bowl in order! Or get dirty looks for jump around in line! The service is excellent! Food is always fresh! Prices are always great!
Used an EMF to check my soup, totally clear! Great food, great environment. Chef Garlic Powder did an excellent job, and it's extremely reassuring knowing the national guard is protecting you while you enjoy a comforting meal. I'm also allergic to peanuts. -producer of hit TV show "Ghost House"
My 1st time was on my birthday June 6 4th of this year and my 2nd time was last night for my son's birthday..he come all the time. Service is awesome food is awesome
We love this place! It’s become a regular spot for our family!!
Delicious and friendly service. Best Mongolian I've had in a long time...love the egg drop soup and rice rhat cones with it a t dinner. They offer to go as well and its huge!! Will be back!
Stopped by our favorite Mongolian BBQ just now! The greeter with green eyes was awsome and quick. Great customer service she provided. I am sorry I didn't get a chance to see her name unfortunately. Great food as always.
Great restaurant! The service was friendly, quick, and attentive. The food was delicious! They have a lot of options, and the food is cooked quickly and well. You also get rice, soup, and potstickers & wontons with your meal. Overall great restaurant!
GK had extremely friendly staff. The environment had kind of a vintage feel like they had been there a while. The food was very affordable and very good! You are able to dish up the food you want and they cook it in front of you. It was a very interesting and different experience from pretty much any other kind of restaurant. They had tons of different sauce and combinations to create a different meal many times over. I will definitely be coming back to try all the different variations of this delicious food! It was in a nice area. Easy parking even with a trailer. The kids and myself will also not pass up an opportunity to go next door to the serpentarium.
To be fair, for their price you can’t really complain!! It looks pretty dirty but they clean it pretty often. Huge lunch portion will definitely fill your belly. If you can’t eat spicy, ask them to clean the cooking table before they cook your food. Will definitely come back here again and highly recommend this restaurant
My wife and I had a really good lunch here. Price was comparable to other Mongolian BBQs and the ingredients were fresh. Will definitely go back if we're in the area again.
Every time I come it gets better. The service tonight was absolutely amazing. A huge shout out to Sammie for her incredible customer service and sweet hospitality.
The place is surprisingly small but very comfy! It's like your average buffet during dinner time, all you can eat, but basically they have a great assortment of chicken pork beef or lamb, noodles, vegetables, and sauces that you throw together in a bowl that you then take up to this cool circular grill that the guy pours your bowl out on and cooks. It's really cool to watch him do it actually. The quality of the food is pretty good, if you want to taste the sauce though make sure you load up on it. But during dinner it's an all you can eat buffet and during lunch you pay per bowl, and at that rate you're better off just coming during dinner. However service was very friendly and it was not only a dinner but an experience as well. Thank you guys!
We ordered through DoorDash at like 10 pm and the food was on point. Loved the noodles. A little pricey but we were still happy with their food. Thanks for great food!
The restaurant had excellent food. The host Bella was amazing and welcoming... the food ingredients were fresh a d really good quality. It was my first visit to. GK and right away I felt better than two other places where I usually go to ... My only suggestion for this restaurant is to cleanup the work area often, no matter how busy it gets... For Magnolia BBQ, a clean appearance of wok area is a must have...
never had Mongolian bbq before so I was pleasant surprised! You fill up your bowl with your choice or meat and veggies, they have gloves so you can pile it as much as you can. This place is really worth it, a bit messy but worth it. Will be coming back!

I've been to every Mongolian place around and I can't believe It took me so long to come here. Best place around. Quality and Quantity in your options. Plus the pastry like bread sticks are a must with your to go order. Highly recommend.
You select your vegetables, you select your meat (thinly sliced and delicious) and you select your sauce(s). Then you hand the bowl to the chef and, in front of your eyes he cooks it on the Mongolian grill. The also give you appetizers and rice at your table. Friendly and efficient staff and tasty food. Healthy too!
Food was good, station could have been a bit cleaner but it was mostly spilled sauces and oils from customers. Would go back. Service was great!

Hidden gem for late night food with a good deal and not too many people. Great customer service & the food was tasty! I plan to go back again. I did notice the spills/foods on the floor. If they can stay consistent with keeping the area clean it would be great. I almost slid on meat & sauce on the floor.
I really enjoy coming here Melody cashier/hostess/food prepper was really awesome. She was by herself for a little while when we first got there was handling everything with Grace and a smile on her face.
The food was really good and our waitress was wonderful. However the temperature inside was like 80° and the temp outside was 90. It was uncomfortable.
Very well priced. When I came in, it was indeed clean inside. For lunch, it is a 1 bowl only but it seems like the bowl was nice and deep. It fit more food than other locations I’ve tried. The flavors are all there. However, the cook at the time really put extra water and didn’t let it render all the way out. So at the bottom of the bowl I had a lot of water/juice instead of just the flavors I added in. He offered some garlic powder before cooking which was a nice touch too. I would come back again. It was clean, service was friendly, and give you rice and a fried wonton as part of the dine in service. I did see that they had a lot of to go orders called in so I believe less people for dine in and more to-go.
I've been to 4 different Mongolia BBQ places in Sacramento area this one is by far the best taste, lamb makes a great selection. The staff is friendly and kind. The only reason this is 4 star is because the place itself needs a little remodeling the bathrooms are remodeled and that's a great start.

Had a great lunch, my daughter wife and I got 3 bowls and an order of the bao dumplings. Amazing service, great selection of toppings to put on the bowls. But that bathroom in inexcusable.. How can an employee, let alone a manager let alone an owner accept this. I won't be back but if you don't use the bathroom it's a great experience. Unfortunately I did.
I'm not used to grabbing food and having someone cook it, then sit down and eat it. Too many hands have reached over the pans of food to put in my own bowl. I can see grabbing my own lobster 🦞, but grabbing everything. I'm on the fence with this place. I will be checking other reviews to confirm my feelings .
First time trying this Mongolian BBQ and I have to say theirs some good points and bad. I liked that you had to wear gloves ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I didn’t like the cleanliness of this restaurant there was a lot of food on the ground, I kept stepping on veggies and meat on the ground somebody was coming around to clean off the top/table portion but failed to come back to clean anything off the ground I did like the idea of a variety of items to choose from however all the sauces seemed to be all watered down even after adding garlic powder the food was tasteless. Thankfully the prices was reasonable. The staff seemed unprofessional and acted annoyed when another customer needed assistance.
Wonton chips are so amazing and an inexpensive side. The bowl was okay, not much sauce or flavor, the corn tasted off, meat was okay, and the noodles were greasy but not flavored. Probably won’t be back unless it’s just to get wonton chips

It was my first and last time visiting Mongolian grill. Quick and dirty. Half-assed cooking not my thing
My family went out to ear on Saturday about 5:30. My grandson found this metal nail in his bowl. The servers were concerned but the manager, who spoke to me on the phone, wasn't too bothered. They did comp 1 meal but had that been swallowed, surgery would've been required. We won't be going back.

Service staff was great, fast and polite did their job well. Food quality was terrible, ingredients tasted awful like something was off. Some of the ingredients tasted spoled. The food bar was in terrible condition with stuff piled everywhere and a lot of ingredients empty. Chicken was completely overflowing and some of it was raw. Not good. I've made better food at home and I'm a terrible cook. We didn't finish our meal.
Continuing on Mike's post: We're pretty sure we got food poisoning. Had stomach pains and couldn't sleep. Good thing we didn't finish the bowls. Egg flower soup was good. Staff nice. Did not appreciate the uncensored music playing throughout the visit.

Everything was going fine when we came for a random lunch on a weekday, that is until I saw a cockroach 🪳 crawling on the table where they hand you the food after it's been cooked on the grill. Lost my entire appetite after that. Sadly won't be coming back to this place again.
THIS PLACE IS DIRTY DON'T GO IN. I went in here and told the lady at the counter I was wanting the buffet in which she responded "You're good to go" so before I was to touch anything I used the sanitizer dispenser next to her when I noticed the extremely weird texture of what was on my hand and that is when she told me that all of their sanitizer dispensers were filled with soap but that I could just wash my hands in the bathroom. Like seriously this lady coulda told me that before I used the dispenser and what if a line of people wanting to wash their hands builds up at the bathroom, but someone is in the bathroom for too long. After I washed my hands in the 1 person bathroom I figured this place just filled up the dispensers with whatever they had to pass inspection so I figured the place was not clean so while leaving I asked another employee as to why they had soap in all of the dispensers in which she said she didn't know so I told her I was going to eat elsewhere in which she sarcastically told me to have a nice day. Before the GK place was here there was another Mongolian BBQ here which was extremely filthy, and the employees were extremely stingy with their napkins and straws so obviously they were pinching their pennies.
This was hands down the worst takeout experience I’ve ever had. The food had absolutely no flavor, even after I specifically asked them to add more seasoning. As a frequent Mongolian-style restaurant goer, this was extremely disappointing. The concept of selecting your own ingredients, including meat and noodles, and having them cooked fresh is something I typically enjoy. However, it felt like the amount I added to my bowl upset the staff, as their attitude noticeably changed during the process. You can see from the picture I’ve included that there was no reason for this—it was a standard serving. Despite the variety of ingredients, the final result was bland, unappetizing, and completely unsatisfying. I don’t recommend this place unless they address both their customer service and their cooking. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
Order a dinner bowl and it comes swimming in an inch of water? Seriously, how do you even pull this off cooking on a flat top? You're not making soup, you realize this, right? Not to mention 3 separate notes on the order asking for utensils and napkins, just to not recieve nothing.
I been going here for years and this is the first time it has given me food poisoning. The gentle men went out his way to say I got two bowls when in fact it is one bowl but I just put my noodles in one bowl and my toppings in an another bowl to avoid making a mess. His energy definitely transferred to my food or they didn’t wash the produce.
You know, i don't always hold places to embarrassingly low expectations But I'm glad I didn't hold this place to any expectations at all All the meat on selection was tough and chewy The veggies on selection tasted and smelled old The soup that was on our table was salty The rice was overcooked And the miserable looking dumplings were overcooked The $54.21 spent at this place is pennies to me But for me, it's the quality and the way this establishment holds itself up The charging policies need to be revised, for future customers. Overall, it was an extremely mediocre dining experience Anthony, please visit your store and revisit some of policies and look into the quality
They take a really long time to cook dumplings. They cooked 8 dumplings for 40 minutes. I cook a 2 lbs in 20 minutes. It's just awful. How to cook frozen dumplings fast (about 2 lbs): 1. Bring water to a boil — 5 minutes. 2. Add salt. 3. Add the dumplings and stir — they float in 2–3 minutes. 4. Cook 5–7 more minutes. Total: about 12–15 minutes for a full pot.
