I really enjoyed my dinner here! I tried the duck curry which was so delicious but wish that there was a bit more duck meat in it. The drunken noodle was also really good, although a little greasy. Really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and the dishware they used too. A solid Thai restaurant and would come back again.

Delicious food and great service! We stopped here for Thai food on a weekend getaway. The fresh rolls with shrimp were among the best I've had. Will absolutely eat here again.

An absolutely wonderful experience! The restaurant has a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance, with beautiful Thai artwork and a welcoming feel. The staff was exceptional—polite, efficient, and eager to provide recommendations based on our taste preferences. The Tom Yum soup was a perfect start, with a rich, tangy broth that had the right kick of spice. The basil chicken was packed with fresh ingredients, and the flavors were incredibly well-balanced. We ended our meal with mango sticky rice, which was the perfect sweet and creamy treat. This place is a must-visit for Thai food lovers!

Far and away my favorite Thai spot in town, I'll happily go 20 minutes out of my way for Ruen. Yellow Mango and Khao Soi are particularly good. Service is friendly and their selection of beer (Allagash? Delirium??) is kind of incredible.

visiting from the bay area and craving Thai cuisine we found this gem in Rocklin , great service, good ambiance, good portions, with fresh ingredients that exploded with flavor.

Didn't even leave the restaurant before having to leave a 5 star review. This place is an absolute treat. If you dine here, prepare to be surprised by how deep the flavors will be, this food is substantial. I loved the Tom kha gai soup and it was the most delicious soup I've ever had. Spice level 3 was perfect because you could taste the spice but it wasn't too hot that it overpowered the taste. Rice was delicious too, could have eaten an entire plate. The jasmine tea was insanely good. It was perfectly hot and this experience was made by the two lovely hosts in the dining room. You could see that guests enjoyed talking to them and learning about the menu. Thanks ladies!! and to those in the kitchen. Eat here!!!!

My favorite local Thai Food place! I have loved everything I have tried! Gai Satay (Chicken Skewers), Pa-nang Curry, Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, Pad Kee Mow and Kow Pad Ka Prow (Basil Fried Rice) is a huge favorite! Their Mango Sticky Rice is Excellent! Try the Taro Ice Cream - So Good, very sweet!

I had one of their specials, the salmon panang curry. I really enjoyed it. Its a salmon fillet with bell pepper and carrots with a red curry coconut sauce. It comes with a vegetable and a bowl of rice. The ambiance is perfect and service prompt and courteous. I will be back.

Dropped in for lunch with 5 coworkers. We were seated right away and the server was very attentive and courteous. The orders were correct and delivered quickly. The food proportions were perfect. Our meals were delicious and the service was outstanding.

I had a great experience at this Thai restaurant. The Pad Kee Mao was outstanding. The flavors were bold and well balanced, and the spice level was absolutely perfect. Every bite was satisfying. I would definitely choose to dine in next time. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended.

I just had a biopsy done, and asked the medical staff if there was a Thai restaurant close. They all suggested Ruen. We love Thai food, so here we are. When we entered, we were greeted by a smiling lady, who showed us to a table. When we walked in, I commented to my hubby about how good it smells in here. Our server brought salads with the most delicious peanut sauce dressing, which I declared I could eat every day. After perusing the menu for a few minutes, we decided on what we wanted. I don't remember what mine was called, but I know it's number 12. I asked for it Thai hot, and our waitress asked if I was sure. Yes, I'm was. The dish was not spicy enough for me, but boy did it taste good! If I ever have to come to Roseville again, I will absolutely come here! I was chewing my way through my lunch when I remembered to take this picture. The lady who greeted us came by and asked how our lunch was. I told her that it wasn't spicy enough for me, but it has a great flavor. She brought out some pickled chilies, and some sort of red sauce. Those were slightly spicy. Apparently I have quite the tolerance for spicy food, and I'm not even mad about it. 😊 Update, a few days later. I neglected to get pictures of the beautiful in-house menu, but I did manage to get pictures of the paper menu. Go experience this lovely, welcoming little restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

Traveling for work sometimes has its perks. This is one of them. I found Ruen Thai by chance a few months ago and it’s a must stop for me now. At least once every trip. This trip was 3 out of 4 nights I was in town. The mango and pineapple curry dishes are exceptional. I asked for their recommendation for my last meal and it did not disappoint. The #64 was awesome. Besides the food being really good and getting a lot of it for a great price, the service is hard to beat. I was seated fast every time I’ve been in to eat. My drinks have always been full and the staff is all friendly and always smiling. Now I need to schedule another trip just to come back.

I love this place. The girls know my order every time I call. The food is amazing. My favorite order is Kow Pad Kra Pow. Basil fried rice with chicken. And Thai tea. Don’t skip the Thai tea it’s the best and I love when they add the flower to my straw. I feel spoiled every time.

On their 1 - 4 hotness scale, I chose a 2, and it definitely had a kick. Still delicious, but more than expected based on my experience with other Thai restaurants. Pay attention to the description on their scale and make decisions accordingly.

Wow this Thai place is so good! We ordered the pad see ew, roast duck curry and sticky rice mango. All were delicious with lots of flavor. I like the decor inside and it’s very clean. Service was attentive and really nice. We definitely found this as a favorite neighborhood Thai restaurant and will definitely be back!

I had the avocado green curry based on positive reviews, wondering if avocado would even be good in a curry, but it was wonderful. My partner got the crab friend rice, and they didn’t skimp! It came with a huge heap of sweet caramelized crab meat. The portion sizes were good for almost 3 meals, which made the prices extremely reasonable. I may drive out from Natomas just to eat here in the future.

Came in on a Monday afternoon with my friend and were immediately seated. We ordered in a few minutes and the food came out after about 8-15 minutes. We ordered the pad thai, drunken noodles, fried rice, and potstickers. This could have fed a family of 4-5 so between the both of us, we didn't not even come close to finishing because of how huge the portions are. For $14 a plate, it was more than worth it! Everything was so good and I was sad to be full, but am also excited to eat ne leftovers later 😋

My husband took me here for lunch today to celebrate Valentine's day. The restuarant was not busy until after 12:00pm. We ordered appetizer, fresh shrimp roll with peanut sauce.This shrimp roll had rice noodle, vegetables and half of a shrimp. The shrimp roll was stuffed with everything and with just half of a shrimp. Not worth the price for half a shrimp. My husband ordered their seafood fried rice and jasmine tea. The fried rice looked ok but it was oily. The tea tasted like regular tea...not jasmine at all. I ordered shrimp pad thai and asked for it to be a little spicy. It wasn't spicy at all. Not sure if the restaurant was just having a bad day but I was not impressed.

The peanut salad was delicious, but other then that most of the dishes came out was lacking in flavor. Glass noodles with black mushrooms, ground chicken & cabbage soup were kind of boring. Glass noodles were a tab undercooked. 1 to 2 minutes longer would have been perfect. The curry dish was ok, but the portion was too small. Fired eggrolls was mostly just fry wrap, barely any in it. Larb was not what I expected. There was no roasted rice & was overcooked. They added an extra ingredient that doesn't go well with traditional larb supposed to taste like. Steam rice was super dry & undercooked. If this is your first time trying out Thai foods, this is the place to go. But if you're expecting traditional Thai foods with authentic favor....this isn't the place.

I ordered the Rad Nar with chicken. The noodles were not pan fried, they were sitting the flavorless sauce all clumped together. The chicken also pretty flavorless. Not worth $18. I couldn’t eat it. I’ve had this at other Thai restaurants and even if not spicy it is not this bland. Husbands curry was good.

Our experience today was unexpectedly the worse. Three tables that were seated 10-25 minutes after us, received their dinners before we did - we ordered before them as well. No explanation! Not pleased with this one-off low level service. Nothing similar to what we've come to expect after several visits to this restaurant. Then, when the food arrived it was abruptly placed on the table, as if we were a bother to the server. Might not recommend nor return. Louis S

Not the expectation we've come to appreciate. The recent visit was the worst. Our server appeared like she was disenchanted about working, or at least serving us. Yes, the 9nky mixed race couple dining. Three other parties, 2 separate couples and a family of six, came in 20 minutes after us, were seated, and orders were taken and served before our meals arrived. The server was friendly towards the couples in front and behind us, but indifferent towards my wife and I. The only thing that was prompt and courteous was the check being placed on the table, our food . . . Not so much! We reserve the right to choose where we spend our money. Of course, it won't make a difference to this restaurant, but we hope that no one else gets this type of biased treatment. Won't go back - Finding another Thai restaurant

However, they made a non spicy one after I complained. Food wise: curry is ok, but pad Thai is definitely not the right one. Customer service: one of the lady is nice but the other one is not. They gave the wrong check when we are about to pay. Do not recommend this place for Thai food so far.

Cons: Didn't really hit that addicting Thai food experience I was hoping for, and if it matters to you the bathroom was ridden hard and put away wet (floor was nasty, walls have some kind of chunkage sprayed on it in parts, light fixture was missing — but hey you didn't go here for the bathroom experience.) Went for lunch on a Saturday around 12:30. The server was friendly and helpful and we ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Pork Drunken Noodle, and I think some kind of beef/vegetable stir fry? The Chicken Pad Thai was sweet and greasy, maybe had one green onion on the plate and didn't have cilantro or lime wedges. Flavor was ok but definitely was missing those side items. We did ask for some lime wedges on the side and that helped a bit. The Pork Drunken Noodles was greasy and ok on flavor. The pork was chopped up so fine that it got lost in the mushy noodles. It also was a bit salty but that might be from the pork. Perhaps the chicken version of this would solve the issue. Would I go back? No. Maybe if I was meeting some friends there and in that case I would for sure check out the other menu items like maybe try a curry or soup.

We ordered take away and received uncooked food, too spicy, made of 1 dollar supermarket noodles. After requesting a refund, the insane host started to mess with the food and began shouting that we don't know how to read and this is the meal. Truely my worst experience at a restaurant.

Recommended by a good friend so I ordered the lunch Pad Kee Mow (drunken noodles), it calls for sliced pork but it was chopped, the large noodles were very soggy and not many. The sauce is full of tomatoes and no bell peppers, and it is so loaded with basil leaves it was hardly edible. Finally I asked for hot spicy level at 2.5 out of 3 and could hardly detect any heat at all. The lunch was $14 plus 18% tip, automatically charged for this Lunch special. Not interested in eating hear again
