Firstly, I am always impressed by the food, ambience and the kitchen. Top Notch. Secondly, as of late, I have been delighted to meet Elda, who has been making pick up to go orders seemless with her professionalism and her gracious most definitely -Italian beautiful heart. What a great addition to the superb Iola smiling experience.
All the servers at the party were very professional, friendly and took very good care of all the guests! Elda the manager was fabulous as well as Alicia was fantastic! The ceviche was delicious!
I went there for my birthday 🎂 last night. They were very attentive and friendly. I felt pampered honestly. As a mom and one going through a hard divorce this is exactly what I needed to feel special. So thank you 😊 so much.
Last evening I shared a wonderful meal with friends. The service was excellent, the food delicious and the ambiance beautiful. From the moment we walked through the door each person was welcoming and accommodating. “Sunday Supper” at ll Mulino was Special.
Il Mulino is the definition of fine dining at its best. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and elegance. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between upscale and inviting, making it ideal for both special occasions and an unforgettable night out. The service is impeccable — attentive without being intrusive. Every course was timed perfectly, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was flawless. As for the food, every dish was a masterpiece. The ingredients are clearly of the highest quality, and the flavors are rich, refined, and beautifully presented. From the handmade pasta to the perfectly cooked seafood and steaks, each bite was unforgettable. If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience where every detail is thoughtfully curated, Il Mulino delivers luxury on every level. Absolutely worth it.
If you want experience the best in fine dining this is the place. The exquisite service received here enhanced the dining experience. This was our first time dining & Il Mulino is in its own class. Absolutely the best of the best. Thank you for everything !!!
We've enjoyed our meals at Il Mulino in Roslyn on multiple occasions. The staff is attentive and very friendly. As you enter there is nice bar and the decor is well done. As soon as you sit, they bring some free appetizers and fresh bread. The food is amazing; we had the beet salad and the beef carpaccio to start. Our entrees were Chicken Milanese and Black Truffle Ravioli. We ended the evening with Zabaglione and Grappa. The parking lot is tight but there is a valet to help out.
Il Mulino – Manhasset – A Fantastic Dining Experience We recently dined at Il Mulino in Manhasset on Northern Boulevard and had a wonderful experience with their prix fixe dinner menu. The selection offered a great variety, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I started with a delicious cocktail called the Passion of Love—a perfect blend of whiskey and an Italian liqueur. It was smooth, flavorful, and set the tone for a great evening. For my appetizer, I had the burrata with fresh tomato—simple, fresh, and full of flavor. My main course was the filet mignon with French fries, cooked perfectly and incredibly tender. Dessert was a refreshing and unique lemon tiramisu that ended the meal on a light, citrusy note. My husband had the veal Milanese, topped with a fresh arugula salad. He started with a flavorful salad that included blue cheese crumbles and bacon, and finished with the pistachio sorbet, which was creamy and packed with flavor. The service was impeccable from start to finish—attentive without being intrusive. We felt well taken care of throughout the evening. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend Il Mulino to anyone looking for an elegant and satisfying Italian meal.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at IL Mulino Long Island, and from the very beginning, I knew it was going to be an exceptional experience. The elegant, thoughtfully designed atmosphere creates a sophisticated yet welcoming vibe—perfect for a romantic dinner or a special celebration. The food was, without exaggeration, a true work of art. Every dish, from the appetizers to the dessert, was crafted with top-quality ingredients and presented beautifully. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. Every member of the staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. They were always present without being intrusive, which made us feel truly cared for throughout the entire evening. Without a doubt, this restaurant not only meets but exceeds the expectations of a fine dining establishment. It’s a place I will gladly return to and one I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking a high-end culinary experience on Long Island.
Last Sunday we ate at Il Molino (Long Island), a cozy and beautiful restaurant. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy a good time with great food and exquisite service. We'd also like to highlight the hospitality of the manager and the waiters, who made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. They recommended the mussels in sauce and the meat, which was tasty and cooked to perfection. They have a variety of desserts and drinks. We'll definitely return.
I recently dined at Il Mulino Roslyn, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was simply outstanding—each dish was crafted with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in every bite were truly impressive. The service was equally remarkable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure our dining experience was perfect. They went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of, and their recommendations were spot-on. Overall, Il Mulino exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a place with top-notch cuisine and impeccable service, this is it. Highly recommended!
Located on Northern Blvd (25A) Il Mulino is recognized as one of the premiere Italian restaurants in Long Island. Hospitality Service - great service from wait staff to managers. Everyone is very kind and friendly. Culinary Science - well prepped food with quality ingredients used in traditional way. Great wine selection. Ground has a wine cellar in the lower level for private events. Design- the space is dimly lit with a Tuscan ambience for both exterior and interior. Great setting for a romantic evening with a special someone.
We had a 6pm reservation arrived 40 min early so we started with a cocktail at the bar. Service at the bar as expected perfect. We were served their own chips dusted eith a parmesean garlic powder that were delicious. We decided to move on to dinner and were seated at a cozy little table for 2 in the right rear of the dining room. If you like it quiet this is a great time to go on a Fri.eve . We were quickly served our choice of bread some salami bruchetta fresh slices of parmesean marinated fried zucchini slices...and wow what a way to start dinner. I asked for clams casino which was not on the menu and I was gratefully told checf could make and they were DELICIOUS! My husband had the fried Burrata with plumbs...oh yummm For my entree I had the chi Chicken Limone which was tender juicy and so flavorful. My husband had Veal Milanese which was cooked to perfection with a beautiful tasty arugula salad on top. Drinks were quicky refilled there was never a time you had to look for your waiter. Ok Desert ....OH MY! I had the poached pears that were arranged on your plate with fresh ricotta and berries by your waiter and let me tell you so tender not overly sweet so worth trying My husband had the ricotta cheesecake which he said has never had such a tasty one anywhere else...I say Il Mulinos is a go to .
The restaurant is a nice place , good seating area and busy . They started by giving us chips of big block of Parmesan cheese with assorted italian bread which was really good . After that we ordered the main course which was a real disappointment. I would say Olive Garden is far better . Then the check came with an unbelievable amount which we have we have paid . However, after we paid one of waitress comes to us and asked us to increase the tip as the least is $50 . Not worthy the experience.
I dined with some friends at Ill lumilo on Saturday 2/28 at around 6:30pm. My experience was very disappointing but the manager Alis made it worthwhile. The hostess was initially unwelcoming and rushed to assist us. She directed us towards the vintage room where another event was happening. Additionally, she was very dismissive and the staff who greeted us at the vintage room were abrasive. At one point I felt uncomfortable, and the atmosphere was very uncomfortable for me and my friends. I proceeded to leave the restaurant, but when I arrived outside the manager attempted to convince me to stay without an understanding of what had taken place. I stood there in disbelief as someone said “you don’t belong here”. In addition, none of the staff pulled us aside privately to investigate the matter or the miscommunication. After speaking to Alis, he did show some concern, and attempted to resolve the situation. He acknowledged the fact that some of the problems are with the staff members who could have helped to handle the situation better. After we discussed this issue, my friends and I decided to stay and dine at the restaurant only because of his care towards the matter. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone else.
The food was underwhelming super average at best. Both my chicken Parm and my eggplant Parmesan the cheese came out, barely cooked. It was both my cousin and my birthday and we requested a booth table and made the reservation two months in advance and we sat there looking at two empty booth tables that they were saving for regulars. The ambience is lovely, but it is unfair when get a check and you have the responsibility of breaking out the captain and the waiter that should be however they want to split it and not up to the patron. I won’t be back.
On New Year’s Eve I had a reservation at 4:15 for my wife’s special birthday. I took a car service fo $80.00 and arrived 15 minutes early. We asked to sit at the bar to have cocktails before the table was ready. They told us we could not. My wife told them I recently had knee surgery and that at least could we sit at the bar because of his knee. They told us no. She asked them could they bring at least a chair so he could sit in. They brought a chair over. A woman manager came over and told us that we could not be in the restaurant and that we had to wait outside until the table was ready. It was 25° out and I told her we will not wait outside and we are leaving the restaurant . I called the car service to get home. It was the worst experience I ever had at any restaurant in the world that I have traveled. It was mind-boggling to me that we were 15 minutes early for our reservation and we could not sit at a bar like at any restaurant in the world to have a cocktail before a table was ready. I would recommend that if anybody wants to go to this restaurant they should not. They were very rude and not accommodating and should not be in the business of hospitality. This was the most absurd experience I ever had at any restaurant . I still can’t believe that this happened. The manager at this restaurant should be fired by the corporate office for this to happen.
I had a 4:15 reservation on New Year's Eve and l arrive 15 minutes early because I just had surgery and can't stand for a long period of time, they kick me out of the restaurant to wait in 25 degree weather because everyone is having a staff meeting and all I want to do is wait for my so-called table?' Service? Been all over the world, worst customer experience ever. Who cares about the food? Plenty of establishments easily equal in cuisine, likely better in cost, and management that should always know the customer comes first.
Unacceptably horrible service from the manager. Had an extremely unpleasant experience from this restaurant. It charges the fine dining prices but bad service. The food was mediocre. Went there for a very early dinner on Wed at 5:30 pm to avoid crowds to celebrate friend’s birthday. The place was very empty. I asked the manager politely for an extra chair so we can leave our handbags. The manager refused with an attitude to accommodate us and insisted that it’s fully booked so there’s no extra chair. The place was only 60% occupied when we were done and leaving around 7:15 pm. Seriously what’s the big deal of bringing an extra chair so we can dine comfortably!?! We’ll never go back.
This place is only interested in filling as many tables as possible! We were seated right outside of the kitchen at a table that was obviously in the path of all of the all the staff running food in and out. We asked the waiter to be moved The waiter and hostess said that they were cleaning off a table and we would be moved shortly, only to see them seat another group at that table We asked for the manager who basically told us to leave if we didn't like our table, so we did. They do not care about their customers!
