I came from Connecticut and grew up going to the Penny's II diner on Blackrock turnpike. When they closed around 2022 after 40 years of service I thought of this place intuitively. I looked it up and indeed there was the same red sparkle booths and seats, 1950s style, and Greek food options. Food - I ordered the 2 eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and 2 biscuits with gravy. The biscuits were fluffy, hot and homemade just like you want them. The white gravy was creamy with no lumps, very comforting. Eggs cooked perfectly, with plenty of food on my plate. Such extremely reasonable prices! A cup of coffee was only $2.99, pie was $3.99, by today's standards that is amazing. Atmosphere- 1950s style red sparkle booths and tables with 1950s music playing. I came in on a Sunday around 9:30am, and they still could seat me as the turnover was pretty good. Don't worry about parking like I did, they have extended parking next door but I could still park in their main parking. Very cute coca cola everything knick knacks on the walls. I was pleased, like a warm little hug on a Sunday morning.

Best breakfast I have ever had hands down! I had country skillet and my bf had chicken fried steak. Both were soooo good. Plate was full, cooked perfect and had lots of flavor. Service was quick and had lots of servers walking around filling coffees and drinks so were never empty. Atmosphere was 50s theme and was so cute

Wonderful chicken fried chicken, chicken, fried steak, Greek souvlaki, Greek salad, which is my go to there -dressing is made in House and it’s wonderful! if I ate there every night like I would love to I would be bigger than a pink barn🤣

We got seated right away. The server was very sweet and fast. They have all the sauces and jam ready before getting the food! I ordered Rowlett’s favorite and it was very delicious! My husband ordered Chicken and waffle. It was very delicious as well! The chicken had flavor. My brother ordered chorizo skillet and he said it had an amazing flavor and the portion was really good. Overall, definitely coming back!

The diner was busy but accommodating. The music was absolutely fitting and I couldn't help singing along while dining. The service was great and the people in the diner were friendly and kind. I got the waffle plater, the waffle was tasty - the perfect balance of sweet and crispy. I love crispy bacon and it was perfect! I even enjoyed the sausage. Now... the coffee was great and I loved that my cup was never empty. I was impressed that they offered me a coffee to go. Can't wait to try other menu items!

This diner is excellent! We discovered this place when deciding where to eat dinner. I'm so glad we did! The menu has many great options, and the atmosphere is a retro 1950s-era diner vibe. The food is delicious, and the owner is friendly and welcoming. I love the Mediterranean Chicken and Rowlett Breakfast, and my husband loves the gyro sandwich. The sides and chocolate pie are excellent. Service can be slow, so don't be in a hurry when you come. Highly recommend!

First time at Dalrock Diner. Loved it! The food was delicious. We went on a Monday evening. I had breakfast, my hubby had chicken fried steak & my son had chicken tenders. We had fried zucchini to start, highly recommend it! They were busy the entire time we were there, even for a Monday night, although the waitresses didn't skip a beat and were right on top of everything. They helped each other out and worked as a team refilling drinks and checking on us several times. Excellent food and excellent, service this will be a new frequent dining place for us.

Googled for a new place to try. First time here. This place is a great little Retro Diner. I like the black and white checkered floor with the Red and Silver booths. Place seemed to be busy for 11 am, but I was seated quickly. Tomas was there pretty quick to get my beverage and food order. I ordered a 3 meat omelette with hash browns and biscuit and gravy plus toast. Very good stuffed omelet , hash browns are just hash browns it was pretty tasty. The coffee is very strong I liked that.

The service was great! I came in and was greeted and quickly seated. The place is small so just keep that in mind. I had been there once before and gotten pancakes and wasn't a huge fan of those. This time I got the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and boy I tell you it was bomb! Straight 🔥🔥🔥 would definitely recommend. I also got my eggs scrambled with cheese, bacon, and hashbrowns all of which was delicious. I will definitely keep this place in my breakfast restaurant rotations!

This place was so good, I immediately reviewed upon leaving. Today was our first time here, and it was such a great experience from the moment we walked in. Came around 3:30pm on a Friday, and it wasn’t crowded at all. Seated immediately. Restaurant was impeccably clean, not too cold or too hot, and the music was 50s inspired. Felt very comfortable and cozy. The food was absolutely amazing and super well priced. We got to try fried corn on the cob for the first time which was excellent. Fried seafood combo was amazing, and the Mediterranean haddock was tender and flavorful. We will definitely be back again for some fresh food and a good classic diner experience.

Great place in Rowlett, TX. Great selection on the menu. Great breakfast! Great Lunch! and Great dinner. We've eaten there many times over the past 8+ years. Food is always tasty.

Service is awesome! All wait staff and hostess are really sweet. Food is really good. The problems; coffee is watered down and 1.99 , orange juice was bitter I had to put sugar on it and another 1.99. I asked for toast to go with my breakfast platter that was also an additional 1.99. So for breakfast for 1 person with tip was $30.00. That's a lot of money. I probably won't return.

This place is a great little diner! Very charming and had some great food. My girlfriend got the meatloaf and I was very impressed with how good their gravy was.
