First time visiting this restaurant. Apparently we arrived early as there were only 2 tables with customers. We ordered and by the time our meal arrived the restaurant began time fill. It filled quickly! The food was very, very good! The staff was top notch! And, the ambiance was great! We were surprised when we tasted the mushroom bombs...what an explosion of flavor! We had a very satisfying experience! We'll be back!

Food was REALLY good! I got the beef teriyaki bento box and it was delicious. No matter what day you're going, definitely should come, great service.

The sushi rolls were great but very LARGE (circumference wise) and difficult to eat. My partner enjoyed the shashimi bowl option! The service was fine and friendly. Atmosphere gets a 4 simply because there are large windows surrounding you at all times and it created issues with sun in our eyes and passersby looking in.

I highly recommend you come here! The food was great and for a great price. We were a large group and sometimes felt hard to get the attention of our server.

Food isn't amazing, servers weren't attentive. The sake bombs are a good price point, though :) for the price point, it's ok food.

The korean bbq wings were good and so was the gyoza. The chicken ramen was not good it did not have flavor and there was hardly any chicken. The server did not come back to ask how the food was, and we eventually had to flag him down for water and napkins.

The food was really good. I got the teriyaki chicken sizzling plate, and friends had other items. We were all happy with our choices. The service was super slow. The waiter doesn't come back to check on you. We had to find someone to ask for the bill and then wait another 20 minutes. I asked for a receipt and didn't receive one. They should check the Convention Center schedule to make sure they have enough staff working for lunch times. The parking is a paid garage across the street. The prices are high for the amount of food received.

I think before coming keep in mind there is paid parking lot to either side of the restaurant so that was something I discovered in coming with a friend! Food: I think it was decent in taste and looked fresh. I would say the prices were around 12-19 for sushi and most entrees were around 16 dollars up. I would say I got a rice skillet that was very good and fresh but I felt there was a bit too much salt in it because I got a headache from the saltiness which is a bit saddening as I thought it was a pretty good price for skillets. Overall I would recommend for day out with friends or quick bite, lunch deal looks more decent.

If I could give zero stars, I would. As a frequent customer, I was extremely disappointed by how our table was treated after we raised a concern about part of our meal being undercooked. A female manager came to our table and was completely unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of addressing the issue, she argued with us about the taste and quality of the food and repeatedly said, “we don’t do that here.” There was no notice on the menu about “no exchanges” or “sales are final,” aside from alcohol sales. This experience showed a complete lack of customer service and respect for loyal customers.

Everything was sticky. I touched various places around the bar, table tops, my shoes on the walk to the bathroom--and the floor in the bathroom itself! What cleaning product causes absolutely every surface to be tacky to the touch? Couldn't eat here. Had a beer--served in a chipped glass with a sharp edge--and left. Bartender was personable but I don't think I'll be back.

We originally planned to eat at Kitchen15, but since it was closed, we decided to try Bento Box downtown. While looking over the menu and preparing to be seated, one of our friends needed to use the restroom. The hostess told us we had to purchase something first before using the facilities—meaning we were expected to pay for food we hadn’t even ordered yet. Frustrated, we left. Later, we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and returned, this time recording the experience to see if it was a one-time issue. Unfortunately, the manager/owner treated us the exact same way. We never even got the chance to order food, yet the service was already unwelcoming and dismissive. Very disappointing experience. We will not be returning.

I'm so disappointed, and honestly a little upset. Every me and my fiance are in Sac, we make it a point to get Bento Box. It's been great until this year. Quality has slipped, both in service and in food. As far as atmosphere goes, the floor is permanently sticky, and there's always trash under the tables. Service was worse. I have epilepsy. We were seated at a table that was fit between two flashing LED advertising signs. The signs reflected off the windows on both sides facing the table, so I was unable to face the table (or eat my food). I immediately informed the waitress and the hostess that I was epileptic and requested we be moved. Both said they'd move us the moment another table opened up... 3 tables opened up. They stayed empty for a time, then they got filled with 2 people each. In other words, they could have moved us, but they chose not to. I used to be a hostess, so I understand the complexity of seating, wait times, and reservations. This was genuine carelessness. I had to shield my eyes and look down the entire time I ate. The waitress looked horrified and somewhat remorseful when she finally came back with our check, as if she hadn't believed me until she saw me struggling. As for food... I found a piece of what looked like a Lysol wipe in my udon. Hooray.

Customer described meal they wanted (sesame chicken/sesame chicken bowl that looks like general tso’s to waitress). Waitress explained that yes that sesame chicken bowl on menu is what you described. Order was delivered and was actually fried chicken cutlet over rice, no sesame seen on food. Customer attempted to return order and male manager would not take back to food. Then asked customer is they looked at the menu for what sesame chicken was. There is no picture of sesame chicken. There is a photo of it under the kids menu/not near bowls on the menu. Male Manager then asked if customer tried it and tasted it and that it was sesame chicken. Customer did not touch the food and stated he did not receive what he described after explaining it to the waiter. Manager would then not take the food back or refund it from the bill. A second manager then came out stating the same thing and that they could swap items on the menu. Worst management customer service in a very long time. Took talking to 2 different waitresses and 2 different managers. It took 20 mins of discussion and then saying no no no we won’t refund, to actually get the bill changed and for them to actually refund the meal. This is not sesame chicken.

The food tasted good, however the service was awful, its con weekend and I understand being backed up, however my party and I were forced to sit out in the heat for over half an hour, and wait another half an hour for our orders to be taken, we finally got our food after an hour and a half but it felt like they were very unprepared and unprofessional.

I had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant. The waitress and manager were both incredibly rude. They’ve recently started charging customers before providing service, which already raised some red flags. I ordered the calamari, which came out bland and completely lacking in flavor. I immediately asked for a replacement or a refund, but they flat-out refused. I’ve never been to a restaurant where the staff showed such disregard for customer satisfaction. They made it clear that once you’ve paid, you’re stuck with whatever you get—whether you like it or not. Be careful and only order something you already know is good, because if you’re unhappy with your meal, they won’t care and you won’t get your money back. I will never return, and I don’t recommend this place to anyone who values respectful service and quality food.
