My mother was in town and specifically wanted pork buns I did a little looking around and found this place near by and gave it a try. She loved them! Growing up in the sf bay Area we've tried alot and these were great. Ordered Mongolian beef, sweet n sour chicken, cream cheese wontons, shrimp fried rice,prawns and beef chow mein the family liked everything.

We chose the Happy Meal for 5-6 people which had chow mein in a flavorful sauce, fried rice, broccoli beef; the beef was very tender, so good!, sweet and sour pork; tender pork fried to a light crisp and coated in their perfectly tangy sweet and sour sauce, a spicy chicken and veggies dish, creamy cheese wontons, a stir fried beef dish, plus a double order of their pork buns. Everything was delicious! We will be back next time we're in the area.

Best buffet anywhere!!!! Delicious array of great food. I've been going for years and I honestly have always loved it. Awesome prices too. I usually go with my family or just my dad and it is always a nice time. Great atmosphere and pleasant staff 😆

Dragon Palace is the only Chinese Restaurant I’ve eaten at for over 14 years I used to eat 3-4 times a week because I’m a diabetic I cut back to 2 days. The owner treats everyone with respect the waiter is a wonderful man. The quality of the meat is great small buffet but Great Food. Try it you will love it as I do, they also deliver to. Give this restaurant a chance they will make your food the way you like it.

I don't like Chinese food and my daughter wanted some. This place is HANDS DOWN the best Chiinese food I have ever ever had in my life. True story!! I am a foodie for life and 10/10 will definitely go back!! Also the guy was SUPER nice.

We <3 The Dragon Palace lunch buffet. This is not a fancy place. It is clean, well maintained, and the quality of food is good. The owners are so nice and always welcome their guests. Bonus, they do catering, and it was top notch to feed a group on a budget.

I placed an order for pickup from the restaurant on my birthday because I love Chinese food. The food was good. Really enjoyed the rice and broccoli beef and the orange chicken. The one thing that stood out though was how polite the ladies were when I went in to pick up the food, and they were really nice and gave me some sesame balls to try for free. Small gestures like that go a long way for me and I really appreciate the kindness. Just came here to share that they have made a repeat customer out of me just based on how they treated me yesterday. Really great people. The food's good. I will absolutely be back!

Every time I visit, the experience gets better! The service here is outstanding—staff are always cheerful, accommodating, and efficient. As for the food, it’s incredibly flavorful and authentic. The hot pot was a standout—packed with fresh vegetables, succulent meats, and rich broth. The sesame chicken was crispy and sweet, just the way I like it. The ambiance is very inviting, with beautiful oriental decor and soft lighting that creates a relaxing and comfortable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion, this restaurant has it all!

Its pretty typical Chinese-American food. A little on the sweet side for my taste but its FAST, INEXPENSIVE and the staff are ALWAYS FRIENDLY 👌. For comparison, Panda Express is too GREASY for me. Raley's/BelAir is only "fresh" around 2pm, after that its dried out from sitting under the lamps all day so Drangon Palace is TASTIER and CHEAPER then both of them. And the portion size on the dinner combo is enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. With tip, I spend $17 for dinner (and leftovers) and I don't have to cook!

I went here on a whim last night and the food was incredible when we had it for dinner, but it was even better as leftovers today! The portions are generous, the service was great and the staff is very friendly. This is a great place to get food if you have a craving for Chinese cuisine.

The last dish was (3) jalapeño chicken, is really good. Each piece is lightly battered or maybe wrapped in some eggroll wrapper? It's crunchy on the outside, and tender inside. Lightly sweet seasoning. I really like this dish. Overall, very satisfied with the dishes and how they continue to accommodate my special order of reduced sodium. Generous servings as last time. Upped rating to 5. :) ---------- Under new management. Last time I ordered the lunch special, the food was very salty. I thought I'd give them another try and glad I did. but first, I asked to reduce the sodium on my orders. (1) Mapo tofu = instead of ground pork, they used bbq pork which gave it a really nice flavor but not sure if it's still Mapo. (2) Singapore style rice noodle. (3) Kung pao chicken. So today was my second time trying this place and I must admit this time was way better. I end up getting the salt and pepper calamari, cream cheese wontons, and a Mongolian beef combo plate for lunch. Let me tell you the cook did not disappoint when it came down to the S&P calamari nor the Mongolian beef it was literally made to perfection! When I visit again this will definitely be my go to 😁

Good stuff food, Nice Lady at the counter, although very quiet because no customers but very nice reminds me of when I was a kid and my parents took me out to eat Chinese cuisine would go again and perhaps order to eat out.

Even though my daughter and I were viewed as suspicious because we purchased quite a few items, I will still give the food five stars. The brick and mortar building isn't anything fancy, but the quality and taste of the food is excellent, and you get a lot of food for the price. Extremely economical. I had the Mongolian beef combo plate, and my daughter had the broccoli beef.We also ordered potstickers and hot and sour wonton soup. I guess two black women spending all of that money on a hole in the wall in the hood triggered a Dine and Dash alert. Honey, I'm not risking my freedom for THAT. I pay when I order your food through Uber eats, and my daughter paid when we came in as you now know. But that random visit to our table, and the waitress pretending to be taking a break at the table next to us was not very slick. Nonetheless, your food is excellent.

This is one of those “hole in the wall” spots with really great food and decent prices you don’t wanna miss! We stopped here on a whim, and walked in to a completely empty unassuming place where they had an s Warriors game on TV (which we loved as Dub heads lol) and sat down. We ordered honey walnut shrimp (YUM) and a variety of other dishes that were really, really great! We walked out full with enough food for dinner both of us and lunch for him the next day 😂 Definitely going back - I keep thinking about that honey walnut shrimp and the pork fried rice!

First time here. Pork chow mein & pork fried rice to go. Nice and fresh. I'll be back for sure.

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants to visit. Every time I come here it seems to be nice and clean. The owner he is friendly and nice. Parking is pretty good. He also provides free Wi-Fi. But only why I only give it 4 star's. About 2 weeks from this date when I came in the person at register, never said hi, give us any suggestions. They also provide hi chairs, and lot's space for any people with wheelchairs.

I love fried rice but the fried rice combo plate is very greasy. I ordered extra shrimp and it was pretty good. Also they loaded the plate with too much rice I had to pretend to be digging for gold when looking for the protein. I rate a Chinese restaurant based on their fried rice because that's usually what I get. Would I come back here again? Probably not. I should have known better when I walked in and there wasnt a kid taking orders or doing homework. I will say this. If you dont want to spend too much and dont mind over greasy rice this is the spot.

Ive been ordering food from dragon palace for about 10 years now. This used to be my favorite Chinese food place in Sacramento but the last few years I’ve been disappointed every time I order but I keep trying because I love this place. The fried rice is bland it’s as if I’m ordering white rice fried with soy sauce in it. The chow mein is full of oil and the dishes are also missing that authentic flavor I used to love. I ordered Mongolian chicken and it tasted like it was just chili oil drenched chicken and didn’t come with anything but bell peppers it used to be onions. Bring back the old recipes !

It's definitely not a buffet! The food was very very salty. They definitely didn't seem used to having dine-in customers, we were the only people dining in. We waited over 40 minutes for our food. they had many door dash orders, and many upset driver's saying that they had been waiting a long time.

Wish I could give them zero. I ordered cheese wontons and to my surprise when I got home there was no cheese in the CHEESE wontons. It was just am empty shell. When I called the lady on the phone asked if I wanted to come back for more. I live 20 minutes away. I just want a refund is what I told her. She said ok, come in tomorrow. So I came in tomorrow (today) and they flat out refused to refund me my money. I paid for something that I was unsatisfied with and no longer wanted, I should get my refund. This place is overpriced, and unsanitary. When I went in all the tables had old food on them and the floor was disgusting. Do not eat here. They have no respect for their patrons, and the food is probably one of if not the worst Chinese food I've has in Sacramento. Do better Dragon Palace!

We ordered some combo fried rice and got broken glass! Literally no vegis, no chicken, no beef, no shrimp burnt rice so hard it actually hurts to eat. We are NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN. Rather drive to West Sacramento or anywhere else where the food is authentic.

A power drill used as a batter mixer? Lol! Dragon Palace 2300 Northgate Blvd., Suite 100, Sacramento ADVERTISEMENT Number of violations: 12 Date: Thursday, Jan. 15 Health inspectors cited the Gardenland Chinese restaurant after finding egg rolls on top of the steam table were below proper temperature. Fried chicken and pork in covered and stacked bus tubs were improperly cooling. Per interview, employees did not demonstrate knowledge of verifying ware machine sanitizer as used on a daily basis. The facility’s food handler cards record was incomplete. An unapproved power drill was used as a batter mixer. Tongs were hung on the oven door handle. Dragon Palace was reinspected on Friday, Jan. 16 and received an additional yellow placard due to improper holding and cooling of food. Dragon Palace was reinspected on Tuesday, Jan. 20 and passed with a green placard.

Orange chicken and lemon chicken is nothing but a bunch a coating. The chicken that is in it is translucent. Egg foo young was burnt. Called and complained I was told to bring food back for a refund. Then when I get there they want to give only half the money back. Terrible food and service.
