Jacks has a nice location with a clean open air patio. The inside seating was roomy and clean also. We were greeted right away and asked if we had ever been in a Jacks before, which we have. We ordered the Impossible Taco Salad and the NY Ruben sandwich with a side of fries and two drinks. We walked over to grab napkins and straws and started heading to the patio door. One of the employees held the door for us to the patio, that person was holding our fries. 2-3 minutes later the salad was delivered and another 2 minutes and the Ruben was. Fast friendly service. Good job guys. Update: No change. Still great service and good food.
Delicious food, cute decor, very family friendly! The food came almost as soon as we sat down, we ordered a sandwich and large fries. All the staff members was very friendly and kind, I highly recommend and will be coming back!
They catered my OM Retirement luncheon, it was so yummy and they were so professional & courteous. Everyone bellies were full and he was happy! Thank you Jack's!
I had the kid’s meal tri-tips with Mac n Cheese and it was excellent. Perfect amount for someone who does not like to a lot at meals. Highly recommended!
I eat here at least twice a week! It's the healthiest quick lunch available downtown. Often I just order online and then walk over from my office on K Street and then it's ready to go. Salmon Cobb salad is my go to, but I also like to make my own salad. When I want comfort food, can't go wrong with the creamy mac and cheese. Jack's is a Sacramento staple! Service is always friendly.
Jack's is a really good place to eat. Their food is always excellent and and decently priced. The staff is plèasant and efficient. The wait was negligible. The parking can be a little iffy, because it is downtown and popular.well worth going to.!!
A fav lunch spot for 25 years now. I would disagree with posters about small portions or value for portion size. So would my dog, who also likes this place, lots of shade and great people.
I haven't been here in forever but it's still good! Alot of options for sure. I had the bahn mi and my lunch date had the fried chicken sandwich. We shared some urban fries which are a must. The meats were tender and so was the bread. Fries are bahm as always. I will ruturn for sure.
2023.07.14 Update - We came back cause we craved more salad at fantastic prices and set in a good atmosphere. The Buffalo Chicken Salad is sooooo good. LOVED it! Husband devoured and delighted in his Greek Chicken Salad. (Grilled chicken is warm.) 2023.07.13 Absolutely hit the spot as far as our salad craving. Well priced for portions given. Fresh ingredients. I had the Salmon Cobb Salad which I enjoyed. Only tad downside was the salmon was a bit overcooked (too dry). The lemon vinaigrette ended up being really yummy, but I still mostly ate the ranch dressing which was delicious. Grilled corn cob was fantastic. Husband had the steak salad which he loved as do many others who have ordered it based on reviews. The Hiking Bookworms
Great restaurant in the middle of Midtown. It's a mostly healthy menu with salads and sandwiches. My go to is the Lemon Thyme Chicken. You should also try their Urban Fries if you want something a little over the top. The menu can be slightly pricey but I think the food is worth it.

We used grub hub so I can only comment on my sandwich and garlic fries. Both were really good and lots of meat in my sandwich.
Needed comfort food for my sick child while waiting for urgent care at my clinic. Macaroni and cheese is awesome! I've liked Jack's for many years - quality fast, real food. I hadn't been there for a few years so I was surprised when I was asked if I needed a bag for two servings, replied I didn't, and the cups were put in a plastic clam shell! I could have just carried the food to my car and had one less landfill item.
We popped in for a light meal before our concert and the sandwiches were tasty and fresh. Service was very quick. We sat outside and it was a warm beautiful evening. We would eat here again
First time trying out Jack's Urban eats! The two of us ordered: -santa fe chicken salad -urban fries -fried chicken sandwich I enjoyed the freshness of the food! Chicken salad was good. I thought the urban fries were a bit underwhelming, and definitely could have been piled up a little more. Fried chicken sandwich was just ok (new on their menu). Will definitely be back to try other items on their menu! Order first and then staff will bring you your food. Street parking only.
came here for the fries only as we wanted a snack...they were OKKK...I've had better fries. I wish they were a little crispier but there was sauce on them which probably made them a little soft. just average. Service was good...the lady at the front counter taking the order was friendly. they have a nice outdoor patio to sit at which is pretty shaded to allow you to sit at in the summer heat.

Don't order a salad on Sunday evenings. The salads are made much smaller, and frequently leave out or substitute ingredients. They may give you the wrong dressing. We order for pickup, and by the time we get home and find out that the salad is made wrong, there is nothing to do. Have to go some place else that makes a greater effort to be consistent.
Food wasn't that good at all. If U R drunk then ok. But if u want good food this was not it. From the way it was served, who it was served by everything about the place and vibe was off... it felt as if my money was welcomed but I wasn't.
It was just okay. The sweet potato fries were good. The tritip was okay. The mashed potatoes were not good and the Cobb salad was just okay. The service was also just okay. It really was not a thrilling experience.
