Miyako Teriyaki Bowl

The fish and chips are best in the area. Reminds me of the old H Salt fish and chip from wayback when. Everything we eaten here was delicious.and the portion a generous.

I live this place. The owners are the nicest people and the food is crazy good. I've never tried the fish and chips or the burgers but the sesame chicken and teriyaki chicken are really good. The location isn't updated or fancy which is a lot of what I love of the place. Give it a try if you're near and hungry.

The chicken was decent, but pretty tough by oriental food standards. I think maybe they skip a typical tenderizing step for cost effectiveness or speed. Generally- I think it’s overpriced for the quality. I would pay $5 for this bowl. Though, I understand rent may be exceptionally high in this location, and the owner was very kind and welcoming. Change the sauce, guys! Too much soy!

Ordered the sesame chicken per other reviews' recommendations. The chicken is decent, but the sauce is far too salty. The cashier is nice, but the restaurant was nearly empty the entire time, and the decor is rather bleak. I won't be coming back, but if you just want a quick meal, it's not a terrible option.

Maybe the worst take out teriyaki I've had unfortunately. Think I caught em off guard coming in at 10am cause the chicken looked boiled? It was grey..no searing at all and tasteless. Weird.

Service was great, portions are great but food was pretty bad tbh. Chicken was super chewy. Sesame chicken batter was mushy and falling off the chicken. It was overcooked and smelled badly. Sweet staff but I will not be back.

Beef bowl , sesame chicken bowl, what do you think of when you hear these things? Value right. I paid 30 dollars with no tip for these 2 items , very small portion for what I paid for , let’s start with the beef bowl , it was very salty and again a little amount of beef and a lot of rice and sauce, what were the vegetables? A little bit of shredded cabbage on the side , that’s it. I would have been okay with this if it was a 5 dollar beef bowl, it was 13.49 for the beef bowl. You are 100% better off going to oto Japanese market across the street and getting their beef bowl , the flavor here is not good as well. I don’t know who did the cooking today , but to serve that is interesting. You need to take your job more seriously instead of trying to charge so much for a little beef bowl. Again if the item justified the price I would say so , it did not. Go anywhere else, but not here for a teriyaki beef bowl. Bottom of the barrel place . It’s run by some nice older Korean folks , yet it’s a Japanese name on the restaurant, my guess is they bought it over and the quality of the food went way down, because they don’t know how to make Japanese food…. Maybe change it to a Korean restaurant, and maybe take pride in your food. Photo attached is after eating the meat , 85% rice and a very salty teriyaki. Why bother with such a long post ? Don’t waste your time and hard money on this half hearted attempt at teriyaki. It’s not worth it and I’m upset with how expensive it was…

Chicken meat is not expensive at all, why would you try to serve your customers something that is past its shelve life to save up some meager cents. You loose more money on the long run. No wonder I had a bad feeling about this place when I entered the parking lot and it was empty. I decided to go in and eat here because the place had a 4.5 star rating. I feel sorry to leave this bad review because the old lady that was the cashier and the old gentleman that was cooking were very polite and caring. But, come on you guys, you can do better than that, my grandma was 80 plus years old and she used to cook some amazing food.

Save your money and go somewhere else. The empty parking lot should had been a sign of what’s inside. Cons: Overly sauced, pre frozen and questionable chicken, hair came attached with my food & lack of seasoning. Pros: no line.

If you want a really good teriyaki local and small restaurant but their food is comparable to the high end fancy ones, go to donuts and tepanyaki restaurant and you’ll see what I’m talking about authentic and really good teriyaki food.

When I asked her about it, she said these are the new prices, but the menu wasn't updated yet. I would have had no problem paying for the meal if I knew that's how much it was before I ordered. What is the point of a menu if your prices are whatever you feel like charging that day??

The food quality just isn’t there. Cold fries, soggy fish — not what I expected. I tried supporting a local business, but this was a letdown. Won’t be back.
