We really liked this place. The atmosphere was cool, very spacious with plenty of TVs so we could watch the football game. Servers were friendly and attentive. Burger and fries were delicious. Avocado egg rolls were very good and the fried carrot cake was yummy. Decent price for cocktails, appetizer, dinner and dessert.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a this restaurant and had an amazing experience. From the moment I stepped in, the warm atmosphere and attentive staff made me feel welcome. The food was simply outstanding, with an incredibly diverse menu that catered to our taste and preferences. The drinks were also fantastic, and the bar had a great selection of spirits and cocktails. I was particularly impressed with the restaurant's efforts to offer family-friendly options on their menu, making it a perfect spot for families to dine together. The location was also great, with easy access to other local amenities. The restaurant staff were exceptional - they were friendly, attentive, and really went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal in a warm and welcoming environment. It was truly a memorable experience, and I can't wait to go back!
We brought our fur babies here a few times and we absolutely love this place. Total we have been here a handful of times and have become a frequent visitor. Menus is filled with great food. My favorite is the rib eye steak sandwich. I tired the Margherita pizza and it was ok. Salads are good. One of my faves for dessert is the OMG. Will definitely be back for more visits!
After we spent hours at anime convention we decided to eat and this is the nearest place. The food is really good just see the pictures. I think it's 1/2 price when we get there... but anyway will come back next time.
Love their happy hour on Wednesday! Fresh Local beers with tasty $1 wings. Pizza was good too. A little different style margarita pizza but I can not complain to this price. Exciting and nice vibe.
Sports Bar with an upscale atmosphere. Large beer menu with some local brews and food was really good. Service was prompt and friendly. Definitely the place to see the game from any viewpoint.
This place is awesome! The food is amazing and the service even better. I had the Nachos - I will say that they could have tossed the Nachos more. All the topings were just sitting on the top. I much prefer it more mixed in. I sat at the bar for the Seahawks game and the barman is a legend! All in all I really enjoyed
The prosciutto truffle pizza was 10/10 . Ribeye sandwich was 6/10 I think it would have been better if I got it cooked more, I ordered rare (not their fault) bahn mi sandwich sliders 10/10 . Everything was worth it. Service was good from the bartenders and server. We will be back.
We stopped on our way to the airport with Australian guests for lunch on a Labor Day. None of us had been there before. Hostess greeted us immediately and sat us at the high top table at the windows facing the gigantic bar . Food was excellent and tasty . The two that had Reuben and cheesesteak sandwiches chose a side salad and they were VERY generous. And the others that had salad were also very generous in a modern round high side bowl. Cocktails were a nice pour and the waitress was efficient and bubbly. No complaints and food was excellent!
It was a very beautiful and vibrant place. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the Steak Sandwich with fries and the meat was so tender and juicy. It was great.
Tried this place tonight. We got the Philly cheese steak and prosciutto pizza. The food was amazing! Great quality ingredients and the service was great. Not bad pricing at all for what you get. We will definitely return.
Huge beer selection with great local beer on tap. The bartender was very informative on the menu and was always interacting with the customers. I stopped by during Happy Hour and grabbed the Public House Combo pizza… AMAZING!!!
Quick tasty bite with great service and lots of tvs for entertainment, would def recommend to everyone! I am veggie and got the avocado rolls but They have a few more veggie options which is nice! Cam was very attentive and friendly, and gave me great recommendations :)
We visited here on a Saturday afternoon before a concert at Golden One. We were seated quickly and our server Tonya gave us great service. Both the beer and food were very good. Plenty of seating and nearby parking.
It's a comfortable, atmospheric, old-timey bar (and includes a fun spin wheel for discount drinks/deserts). Service has always been friendly. We've been on the fence about the food but recently tried the pizza, which we really liked (I asked for their homemade BBQ sauce snd was impressed). Prices are comparable to a bit better than competitors.
Great bard food and reasonably priced drinks. A great after work spot. We had the combo pizza and the Nacho Tots plus a few beers to was it down.
The pretzel is great but the cheese for dipping comes out at a temperature barely above freezing. The burgers are great and definitely the best bacon I've had on a burger.
Food was amazing. Service was amazing. We came for lunch and had the best time ever.... But their bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Idk I guess their bottomless mimosas brunch was hitting cuz someone puked allll over the woman's restroom. Like CHUNKS everywhere. 10/10 would go again... Just not on Saturdays... After brunch.
Great place to watch games and grab a cold beer and a nice bite to eat! I had the steak sandwich and it was yummy! Steak was perfectly cooked and the cross cut fries were nice and crispy! I’d definitely go back!

The place was delicious I loved the food I got and the drink went perfectly
The service was amazing, the portions were great and the food was fantastic. This is a great place to take friends from out of town for a casual meal.
I visited this place for a girls night out and loved it. The ambiance and food is great. Great for a date night or just hanging out with friends or watch the game. I am a beer fan and loved their options for beer. Must try the monkey ale beer :)
Visiting Sacramento for work for the weekend, our hotel is right around the corner so decided on this place! Hands down great pizza!!! Awesome beer selection and atmosphere is awesome!
Had a mama daughter date, we went to Cafeteria and they were closed at 3 so the maitred referred us to Public House. What a surprise and treat.
Their Spicy Stir Fried Noodles are incredible! Like, really incredible. Their iced tea is super bomb too. It’s infused with flowers and stuff. I’m not sure exactly, but it was definitely exceptional iced tea. Trust me.
We were there for an event so it was packed (A’s season ticket holders pre season celebration). We loved the atmosphere and the finer foods they passed around and the stations they had where we could pick up food provided very tasty food. The bar was busy with such a big event (and a free drink for each attendee) so there bar service was a bit slow, as expected, but the bartenders were friendly and moved efficiently and kept the crowd happy. We will go back.
We really enjoyed this place. Good atmosphere. They have a bar, and it's a good place to watch sports while you grab a bite or drink. Establishment and restrooms were clean during my visit. I really loves their waffle style fries and the skinny French fries.
Good spot for food, drinks, and sports! Staff wasn't the most attentive. Our waitress seemed a bit stressed and forgot a lot of our items. Happy hour was only mentioned after we ordered, which was unfortunate. Food: -steak sandwich -kids chicken strip -public house burger -chicken caesar salad I can only speak on the chicken caesar, but it was standard, as expected. Off the HH menu: HH nacho tots HH pesto pizza HH avocado eggroll All three of these were good! Definitely come back here for their HH! Street parking only.
We were seated immediately for lunch on a Saturday and service was fairly quick. Nice atmosphere and a huge bar! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I loved the pretzel and ribs. The chicken was nice and crispy but I felt it needed a little more flavor so I ended up dipping it in the barbeque sauce from the ribs. One of my pieces of chicken was actually only fried skin! Our waitress immediately ordered a fresh piece from the kitchen. My husband's cheesesteak was tasty but he said he's had better. Our overall experience was great and I will visit again!
After building up an apatite walking the Sac Anime at the safe credit union convention center. We walked over for lunch. It was a good experience and filled our tummies. Loved the decor, food and service was OK.
Great time. Came on Saturday. Unfortunately I could not have the fish and chips due to the brunch menu. Bummer, I had my heart set after seeing the photos from others. I ended up splitting a cheeseburger and the waffle fries. It was good, but not what I wanted. A long drive back home kinda hungry.
We ate the cobb salad, lobster pizza and sandwich + soup (chili) combo. The chicken on the cobb salad was really dry and the same chicken was on the chicken club sandwich —which was also dry. The lobster pizza was really good but could use more lobster on it. The chili is pretty spicy so be prepared and the bowl nearly burned my hand and the server didn’t mention it was hot.
Great lunch spot for sure if your near it. The vibe was an cool pub style and the bar is loaded with tons of beers on tap. I'm sure the night life would be a fun social environment and would be a chill place to go to.
Food and drinks are good. The issue still is the some times it gets loud (like a chicken coop) ,and now and then a guy is always shouting in the bar.
Good food .. Nashville chicken sandwich was delicious an the salad was pretty good also .. an a great selection of beers . server's where awesome as well . I'll be back
I was looking forward to the pulled pork nachos after reading the reviews but to be honest I was disappointed. The potential is there but the pulled pork was bland or even off-flavor. It was like it was boiled and pulled or something. I'd go back to try other things but nothing with their version of pulled pork.
Came here for hh before heading over to the Hamilton show. The vibe is very casual and sporty. Waitress was attentive and overall it was a good experience.
Service was thumbs up 👍 Food ok Drinks ok. Dessert deep-fried carrot cake with ice cream in the middle Was delicious 😋
High energy sports bar with an upbeat crowd atmosphere. Tons of TVs visible from all over the restaurant. Food was tasty and the service was decent. Menu was a bit on the pricey side, but I think that's normal for midtown Sacramento. This place was packed on the weekend.
A great place, for lunch or a cocktail, or to watch a game. We stopped in here to eat before going to the Golden One Credit Union performing arts center for a show. They gave us 10% off our bill because we were attending a performance! That was nice! We had great service at the bar. The salads are shareable and delicious. They offer mocktails for those who do not want to drink alcohol. But of course, there's plenty of alcohol and a great beer selection.
Very quaint Ole timey bar; nicely decorated, very dark and comfortable. Timely and friendly service. Typical bar food. My husband lived the pork belly sliders which the server highly recommended. The vegetarian options were OK, Hummus, Ceasars salad, cheese plate. Nothing over the top for vegetarians.
The bloody Mary's were delicious and was hoping the brunch would be as well but when I got the chilaquiles I was horrified lol. It's a dish that is not authentic of Mexican food in the slightest. Happy hour is good for bar food and drinks but don't come here for brunch you will be disappointed.
This place reminded me of Yardhouse so the wife and I decided to try it out for dinner. It was pretty busy inside and we were sat pretty quickly. I don't remember what the wife ordered to drink, but she liked it. I tried the old fashioned, and it was ok. We got right to it, so for dinner the wife ordered the BLT which she enjoyed, and I ordered the Steak Frites. The fries were really good, nice and crispy, but the steak I didn't really enjoy. I don't really like a lot of fat on my steak, and it seemed like every bite I took had fat on it, so I didn't enjoy it at all. Our server wasn't that great either. It took her forever to come check on us and she never refilled my water. If in the area we might come back and try other things.
Definitely a casual local late night bar that offers happy hours throughout the week. Food is mediocre and a lot of food I ate were very salty . The service was great and the lady who served us asked time to time if we needed anything
A few qualms with this place. First, they were very stingy with the beer flight. None of the glasses were nowhere near full. Second, the mains left much to be desired. Also, the high chairs had huge holes in them so they aren’t appropriate for babies even if able to sit unsupported. To top it off, our waitress was clearly not having a good day. It was crazy decadent, but at least the O.M.G. cake was interesting. The avocado starter was tasty too. I’d give this place 2.5 stars if that was an option.
Ordered the wings (appetizer) and jambalaya and spicy noodles for the main entree and were largely disappointed. The jambalaya was a plate of tasteless rice mix that even a bit of salt couldn’t fix. The wings batter was tasteless and the wings were fried too quickly leaving the inside a bit raw. The only saving grace was the spicy noodles that had some flavor hence the two stars. Need to up your game a bit fellows! We sat outside because the weather was amazing for this time of the year.
Everything was pretty good, but the fries were spectacular and the burger was on point! The bacon on the burger was fabulous. But the avocado spring rolls disappointing. Cucumber Mule was decent...Pizza wasn’t good at all. Sausage and pepperoni had awful flavor. I appreciated the time but I won't be going back. Our bill was $186.00.
Burger was decent but the carbonara basically had a raw egg on it. The guy tried to tell us "it's poached." That very well may be, but as someone who poaches his eggs regularly I can tell you the whites of the eggs should not be translucent on a fully cooked egg. How many times have you had eggs Benedict and the whites of the egg are still translucent? Just because you poached the egg doesn't mean you under-cook it. Very disappointed. I don't think they know the difference between "poached" and "under-cooked" because that's not the same thing.
I've been to Public House many times and also ate here with my kids. Today, January 12th, 2024, @ 3pm I decided to go here to get something to drink and eat. I ordered my drink and then was asked to put a card on "file" to me it was asking to prepay. I travel a lot around California and have never been asked to keep a card on file at a restaurant. Now, I have been to many bars that keep your card when you want an open tab. It just felt weird, and I waited around to see when other people ordered to see if they were asked for their card. No, they were not asked. Very disappointing Public House Downtown.
