Opinions de Torch Club Sacramento
We arrived here for the open much night, which was nice hearing people sing and one guy try out some comedy. We were really there yo see a band, Nacho and the Dollar Menu. They were great and we had a wonderful night. Hope to go back for some more live music soon!
Had a great time everyone was dancing and totally enjoying the great trumpets and saxophones , drums , the young vocalist was amazing. I got to help hold a beautiful saxophone for one of the performers!!! (Woo woo! ) I felt special. He just so happened to be on the bar ! Yes on The BAR! It was crazy and exciting! I will definitely be back here again. Maybe I'll get to hold someone's trumpet next time lol .....thank you,, Torch Club Sincerely, Terra PS. AND THE BARTENDER SHE WAS GREAT TOO!!¡
Great little dive bar with a stage! Live music most nights. Cheap drinks and good atmosphere.
Who knew I would have ended up at the Torch Club.... I came to Sacramento to visit my brother and brought my saxophone with hopes that I would be able to find a place to play at. I knew it couldn't have been that hard, but the place I originally planned on going to claimed to be open on Google and then had a sign on their door that said they were closed that night and the next. It just so happened that earlier that day my brother's friend messaged him that they were going to the Torch Club for a jazz jam and would like us to come. The timing could not have been any better. We had such a good night and I had so much fun playing on stage with new people and hearing different music than I'm used to. The place was packed and the service was still great. The manager, I am assuming, allowed me to stash my saxophone case in a safe place while I played. Everyone was friendly and the vibe was cool 😎.
This is the place to be for some really good live music. I've been here a few times and have had a blast every time. Sometimes, are more crowded than others. If you like blues, you have to come on a Sunday.
Went and saw Matt Rainey at the torch tonight and had a blast. Small crowd but everyone knew everyone. Felt like Cheers when we were there. Everyone was super friendly, drinks were reasonable and Matt was a great entertainer and musician. Bartender was great. Definitely will be going again. We went to the early show so it felt very intimate and connected. Matt had a good sense of humor and made the evening enjoyable. The venue is nothing fancy but it felt clean and taken care of. Tons of photos on the walls and I loved art hanging center stage of jazz musicians.
Great , Intimate, music venue. I will be back.
For Blues, funk, jazz, gypsy jazz, swing, New Orleans funk and second line, Americana, bluegrass and oddball combinations of the above and more, true music lovers flock to this bar to enjoy an outpouring of original creativity and dancing six nights a week, and occasionally weekend afternoons for special events. The music always starts promptly at 9 pm, so if you're not a late-night party animal you can still get a good set of music in and be in bed by the time the vampires are heading out. Or party until closing time at 1:30 when the band packs up. Live music at happy hour is a daily occurrence here most evenings, with no cover. Come dance after work Tuesday through Saturday at 5:30. There's a regular blues jam on Sunday afternoons at 4, followed by Live Band Karaoke, called You Front The Band every Sunday night at 8:00. It's an intimate place and the regulars and staff are very friendly, so if it's your first visit you'll probably feel like a regular by the time the night is over. Torch Club is far and away my favorite place for live music in Sacramento. Thanks to Mark & Marina and their passion for music and their excellent booking skills!
It was a lot of fun. Bartenders made yummy drinks, long island ice teas!! Security was good. 2 bands both good.
Great time at the Torch Club on Thursday with BrassQuatch Gang. Great sound , Great drinks , Great time on the dance floor. I'll be dropping in next time they are sighted.

This bar is a staple in the Sacramento community. Great live music, staff, and atmosphere. I always have a wonderful time. This is typically an older crowd but every Sunday is open mic night and it's packed with young faces. I highly recommend going on Thursday to catch Mind X play or on Sunday for the open mic. You will not be disappointed.
Super place if you enjoy music and fun. High quality bands and fun times. Hippie hour is always a hoot. Bill is not afraid of multiple types of music as well. "Anything goes at hippie hour" I heard him say. It was a Jerry tribute this time. Looking forward to next time. Nice bartenders. Which is a thing for me. The rude types can eat my shorts. Great people I don't think it matters who is playing, just go. You will most likely have a great time. Unique venue.
The torch is an amazing space. Always have a good crowd. The band there that plays 'The Labrats' are amazing. Definitely One of my go to spots on sundays.
Great live music venue. Welcoming, very good drink selection and service.
Cool old school music spot and hangout. Attended the Wednesday open mic to listen to some good local talent.
I brought my Partner here to see Jinx Jones play. It was really fun! I was All of the staff were lovely. The door man was nice to us. The sound tech was effectively communicating with the band. I was pleased by the table to dance space ratio. Bartender was great! Can’t wait to come back!
The Torch Club is a really cool place! I was just there for their Open Mic music night, which happens most Wednesdays. It's a really awesome opportunity for local musicians to get a chance to play in front of an audience in a fairly low pressure environment. The atmosphere is pretty low key (at least on Wednesday evenings). I really love that the music system is balanced very well for the space. The music is loud enough to feel the bass in your chest, but not too loud for people to keep up a conversation at the bar. Shout out to Todd, who organizes the Open Mic nights! He is a really nice guy and has all the expertise to help get everyone setup and plugged into their sound system the right way.
This place is such a vibe on Sunday nights. Their house band. The Lab rats are very interesting and very cool and their drummer is insane. The open mic night is like such a vibe. It's so cool and so fun to see everybody just vibing up there. It's always busy and gets pretty packed, which is the only downside. But again, it's fun to be around all the people just vibing with the music
I love when Danny Sandoval plays a great SAX player! No food bring your own or get near by. Its a bar often with live band music.

I go here about once a month for the past couple years and have always had a good experience with the music and the woman bartender. I have spent a good amount t of money here as well. However tonight I had the worst service experience from an arrogant older male bartender who practically sneered at me when I ordered two martini drinks and then proceeded to completely ignore my order for the next 20 minutes. I ended up leaving without ever having received a drink and felt extremely disrespected.

I visited briefly with my sister and left within minutes due to a deeply disappointing experience. I was discriminated against because of my disability - two different employees attempted to deny me entry for having a service dog. When I explained that my dog is a medical alert service animal who stays in a sling to best monitor my condition, I was still told she was not allowed inside. When I asked the bouncer for a reason, I received no clear answer. A blonde woman eventually said I could enter if my service dog remained in the sling - which makes no legal sense, as the ADA does not differentiate between a leashed or sling-carried service dog. Denying access to someone based on their disability is not only unethical, it is illegal under federal law. After I informed the bouncer of this, he apologized and said we were welcome to come in but at that point, I had no intention of supporting a business that treats disabled patrons this way. They’re fortunate I’m not pursuing legal action, though many others rightfully would. I will instead be sharing this experience in reviews to inform others. Extremely disappointing and unacceptable behavior.
