I can’t get enough of this! The sauce is perfect! Try the medium seasoning not too spicy, and add a side of rice or Mac, you will get satisfaction..

Decided to dab with the angry chick to see what it was all about. Big fan of Hot Birds in Watsonville, as well as the Hot Ones Challenge, so I was curious how the chicks would hold up. First off, let me just say, don’t be intimidated by the long line. Their cashiers are fast. I waited maybe ten minutes for my food. It may seem like a long time, but relative to the orders ahead of me, it was less time than I expected. We ordered a Mac and cheese meal and a number one meal, which was two sliders, fries, and a drink. I opted to try the hottest and signed their online waiver, and also their second hottest level. The bun was good. The chicken was good. The breading on the chicken was good. The fries were bomb. Their sauce was really good. Now, on to the spice… as I said previously, I’m a fan of spicy food and try a lot of hot sauces and hot sauce challenges. If there is a hot chicken sandwich nearby, I’m going into battle with it. Honestly, for the area, and considering that this is a chain, franchise or not, it was very good. I hate shouting out competitors in reviews, but I would rate Angry Chickz number two out of the chicken sandwiches I have tried. Why? Number one: their hottest chicken sandwich wasn’t incredibly hot. Maybe for the average Joe, they would be screaming for milk, but to me, this was simply spice over flavor. On a scale of one to ten, if rating on the Hot Ones scale, I’d give it a seven. Their second hottest chicken sandwich was very good. It had heat, and more importantly, flavor. If you’re a fan of hot sandwiches, go for this one. I honestly couldn’t tell which sandwich was supposed to be the hottest u til my buddy pointed out the ‘oil’ on the sandwich. One would assume that oil is the extra ‘kick.’ To be fair, my buddy tried number two and number three. He is also a Hot Ones aficionado and couldn’t finish number two, so maybe I am some kind of freak? Secondly, it cost me about $45 after tip for two meals. At another place somewhat nearby, they offer a huge meal for $25 that has easily fed my wife, myself, and still had leftovers the next day. It also includes fries and a drink. So as far as value, Angry Chickz lags in that department. Compared to other fast food, it’s pretty much standard cost, so take that as you will. The staff worked hard and were friendly. The restaurant was clean, despite being busy busy busy. There are child’s east available as well as an outdoor patio if you should desire to hear the revving of engines and the occasional lowrider soundtrack. I did. Overall, four out of five wings!

Finally tried it out...line was at the door so decided to give it a try. Waited about 5 minutes to order....once ordered, waited another 15-20 minutes to get food. Got the Angry Chick bowl, mac and cheese, fries, chicken strips cut in bowl. Was surprised at the spice the fried had, even though I ordered the least spice level (forgot the exact name...."Country, no spice" I believe was the name) anyways, the bow cost $14 plus tax, drink is separate charge, $2.50

The indoor area is very spartan, with a couple of tvs playing sports on the wall. Staff did come by and clean every 10 minutes or so. As for the food itself, I ordered the number 3, which was a tender (hot) and a slider (medium) and fries with a drink. The hot seasoning took me out. Incredibly too hot. I couldn’t finish it. The medium slider was great, and the potato bun was soft. I wish they toasted the bun. The fries have a kick of either the mild or medium seasoning. The sauce has that zaxby/chik-fil-a feel to it. Overall, I’d come back for the medium or mild sliders. Price: $22.42

Either I caught them on a good day for my first time, they addressed complaints, or some reviewers have impossible standards. Service: good, nothing to write home about, but no real negatives Atmosphere: Just mod pizza with less furniture. But the indoor signs are a decent touch. Food: wife got the mild Angry mac and I got the #4 (3 chicken tenders over rice and slaw in medium). Chicken was mostly tender (some dry bites even towards center). Mac was pretty good. I actually loved the cole slaw (gave a needed acidity and slight sweetness to the chicken) and the use of basmati rice was 🤌. Basmati rice was perfectly cooked and had good flavor after mixing it around with the seasoning mixed with leftover grease from the chicken. Chicken to rice ratio was a bit off, but made it work. Honestly the only thing it needs is some type of moisture (not the thousand island dipping sauce it comes with) since breading on dry rub on basmati isn't ideal. Some kind of curry maybe would probably be amazing... maybe a soy sauce or miso base drizzle... digressing. Actually look forward to getting #4 again and testing with a drizzle of my own sauces. This is terrific fast food! It's a very clean environment and their service with a smile.The food I give a 9.3 I'm a big spice fan and not for Louisiana style but this is different. The french fries are in the top two I've ever had! The macaroni and cheese is average and the coleslaw fresh and tasty it does run you $20 a person but are big servings for the most part!

He acknowledged it and turned around to retrieve the food. When he handed it to me, he requested confirmation, which I believed I had given him when he initially asked if I was there for pick-up. I unlocked my phone and returned to the counter, but he was holding the food and shaking his head, indicating that I needed to scroll down. The atmosphere was generally pleasant, with a few young children enjoying their meals at the front entrance. However, the glass doors were filthy. The food itself was disappointing. The chicken slider was bland and lacked substantial coleslaw, despite having about four pieces of cabbage on it. One sandwich was crispy and hot, while the other was soggy and wet. I started with the soggy one, and the second one held up better, but I’m not sure how since it had been sitting. I’m not sure when I’ll be returning to this restaurant. . .

Good flavor chicken, just wish they filled the center with a bigger chicken or a second piece of chicken. Fries are pretty good and price is... Well add another piece of chicken or at least include the drink and it's very reasonable... As is... It's a little on the high side (price)

This is terrific fast food! It's a very clean environment and their service with a smile.The food I give a 9.3 I'm a big spice fan and not for Louisiana style but this is different. The french fries are in the top two I've ever had! The macaroni and cheese is average and the coleslaw fresh and tasty it does run you $20 a person but are big servings for the most part!

Tried eating here again and we had at least 15 more minutes before they close the lobby but when we tried opening it is already close and the worker is just staring at us we would have understood it if they told us that they want to close early but they did not. On top of that we saw people tried getting in too after we tried and they all got the same treatment as us. Please next time at least put a sign that you guys are close already

I always order mild the weakest spice supposed to have no heat and just the flavor however it always ends up being so spicy that it burns my tongue. They keep messing up the spice level. I don’t understand how people hyped up this restaurant so much, too overhyped. The chicken had a bad flavor but the heat was on point. Chicken was a dry and crunchy and did not have a good taste at all. Pickles were good but the fries were sadly the best thing I ate in the meal. Overall, people overhyped this mid ass restaurant. If you would like quality and amazing hot chicken, Daves Hot Chicken is an hour drive.

We were attended timely, ordered a #1 Classic (2 sliders and fries)[hot] and the Angry fries[mild]. The cashier warned us saying they use "ghost pepper" to spice their food. We were fine with it as we wanted to try it. Little did I know that this was just a lie. We got out in about 15 minutes and went home, eager to eat. To start off, the sliders weren't anything particularly special, they weren't even hot at all! The spice was very mild and the overall flavor was just ok. I was disappointed with the pickles as even they seemed watered down, not even as good as store bought pickles. While it was an ok sandwich, it was hugely disappointing as there was hardly any flavor/spice. I tried some of my wife's angry fries and her fries were hotter than my sandwich/fries! Even worse is that the spice isn't even flavorful, just heat. I've had authentic Nashville chicken and I'm sorry but, even Chili's from across the way does spice and flavor BETTER than this restaurant, and at a CHEAPER price! This place sucks and is a big disappointment. Me and my wife agreed to never come here again. I think this place is just for people who want Chick-fil-A but don't want to wait the line.

We absolutely LOVED this place until we went in to grab dinner ordered a angrymac spice medium, and a number 3 MILD. We got home and this was not MILD it was absolutely disgusting and insanely spicy the taste wasn’t even good at all. i love spicy food and this was literally uneatable. We called the store and spoke with a employee who sounded very much like he didn’t know how to properly talk to a customer, and he tried to wave it off as if they couldn’t do anything. i spoke with the manager Karina and explained the situation, we come here often and have never had this ever happened or had someone talk to us in a rudely manner, she was quite frankly amazing and apologized for the mistake and offered to remake or refund we opted for a remake. When we entered the store we were treated with such disrespect from this unprofessional looking employee with a really bad hair cut, really long mullet. He snatched my receipt and proceeded to raise his voice in front of everyone implying how stupid our request was, his manager had to correct him and tell him she had already spoke with us and even then we were still treated with disrespect by this employee. Honestly such a horrible experience.
