When it comes to a great atmosphere. Good food, good sports, good beer it doesn't get no better than BJ's Salinas. I personally want to thank all the INCREDIBLE staff that go the extra mile for my family & I ... Including Tammy. She is sooooo awesome! S/O Kat too! I wish I could name all the staff here they all do an incredible job. My family and I come back here over and over again. The best food, the best environment extremely family friendly.

Nice place very friendly staff. Patrick our server was perfect and that doesn't happen often. Food was good but the drink selection is awesome. Bjs hand crafted sodas to beers. The cocktail and wines are nice too. Great place to stop I'm for an appetizer and a drink.

Our server Isaiah did a great job and was spot on with his attentiveness. I had seen ratings for this location and felt dubious, but was pleasantly surprised. The Burger was delicious and meaty as you’d want a good burger to be. Great job guys!

Love coming here during happy hour and for dinner! Most of the staff has always been extremely friendly. The manager, Evelyn, was so sweet and came to check on us and see if we needed anything. The spaghetti and meatballs is always a hit and the margarita flight is yummy. Don’t forget to get a pizookie, it’s my favorite thing on the menu!

Nice, quiet, rainy afternoon in Salinas. Sat in the bar area. Prompt, courteous service. Tasty drinks. $17 Nachos were really big and good, but $17 nachos is a little pricey for an appetizer. Spent a total of about $40. Place was clean, quiet, and everything you’d expect from BJ’s.

BJ’s Brewhouse – Salinas, CA | 3.5/5 Stars BJ’s in Salinas is the perfect place if you love great food and waiting an eternity to get it. Seriously, we could have written a novel, started a podcast, and maybe even learned a new language by the time we got our drinks. Service? Let’s just say it was a test of patience—great once they finally acknowledged our existence, but getting there felt like a journey through the seven levels of dining purgatory. Now, onto the food. The wings and salmon? Phenomenal. Whoever made those deserves a raise. The mozzarella sticks? So close to greatness it hurts. The steakhouse wedge salad? More like a sad pile of lettuce with commitment issues. And the crispy honey chicken salad? Let’s just say it had all the excitement of a DMV waiting room. But the Pizookies? Oh. My. God. If BJ’s put as much effort into their service as they do into these heavenly desserts, they’d be unstoppable. The Pizookies alone almost made us forget the painful wait time. Almost. Look, BJ’s is a solid place—if you’re not in a rush and have the patience of a saint. Would we come back? Yes. But only if we bring survival supplies for the wait.

My friend and I went to the Salinas restaurant on 12-30-25. Although, after we were seated, it did take awhile for our server to come to our table. I will say that after he came to our table, his service was great. We ordered a 6 piece pizza. For the both of us, it was mostly bread with the toppings. It was like French bread with toppings. My friend was not happy cause she said that when she ordered pizza here before she really liked it. I felt the same way but I dealt with it cause it still tasted pretty good. Thank you for your time

My recommendation is not to order the Nashville Breaded, boneless "wings." The breading to meat ratio is about 80 to 90% breading. Some "chunks" had no chicken whatsoever. This needs to either be removed from the menu or made with less batter and add chunks of chicken or have chicken strips. The atmosphere at BJ's is good, the service was Great. I received a response from BJ's. They suggested that I speak to a manager if something isn't up to my liking. I agree. The problem with this order was, this is the recipe BJ's found acceptable for their Nashville wings to be prepared and served. I can see if I ordered a steak medium & it was well done to say something. I'd suggest BJ's makes Nashville Chicken Strips & reduces the batter to chicken ratio... 20% batter & 80% chicken = 100% customer satisfaction!

Service had always been subpar. Drink are great but $10 buck alcoholic beverage basically. My favorite is the Pink Cadillac Martini every dangerously good. I have tried several dishes here and I don't care to have anything more than once it's good but they really can set it up with ingredients. I was very disappointed when I asked if they sold more of the bison burger or the shrimp quina bowl and was told they barely sold bison.. that tells me it Frozen and mostly for a while. I'm definitely going to skip this place for a while, again good but not good enough to come back again. Especially their over priced dishes that need a revamp.

Very disappointed. I’m in a wheelchair and only expect basic respect — but from the moment we walked in, we weren’t greeted, and the seating area was extremely narrow. I had to climb into the booth while people walked by without any courtesy. Our server was cold and inattentive. I had to ask twice about drink options and was ignored, yet he was friendly with the table behind us. The difference in service was obvious. Food was hit or miss. The calamari was just okay, the pizzas were good, but the fettuccine Alfredo was terrible — hard noodles and bland sauce. To top it off, they tried charging a $30 tip after the poor service. No manager in sight. I wouldn’t return.

Here is my experience: When we got there one of the twin waiters seated us in bad spot where I had to face the janitors closet and look at all the dirty rags and dirty mop I asked to be moved to another table and they were able to sit us at a better spot at a booth but the table felt sticky and crumbs all over the seats, I cleaned the seats off and the table but was already annoyed. Then we ordered a sampler the chicken wings were burnt and dry. It was time to order and I ordered ribeye steak with asparagus and loaded potatoes, I asked for medium Rare steak and it was burnt and overly cooked I tried cutting through the steak with the knife and it was so rough it moved the entire table. My husband ordered the spaghetti and meat balls but the food wasn’t even hot it was warm. It was a really dissapointing they let us order something else so I got the jimbalya and it was plain and gross I don’t recommend this place if you’re really hungry and looking for flavorful food.

Minus 5 stars. The roast beef dip tasted like it was left under a lamp and not a heating lamp but rather that lamp from Pixar that runs around. The meat had the consistency of rubber. The juice had enough salt to raise your diastolic blood pressure by 50 points. The cheery chipotle salmon looked more like a goldfish. The asparagus was dry and shriveled worse than my 90 year old grandma. Service was friendly but ignored providing us a ample time to write this review

Worst service ever. It took about 20 minutes for a waiter to take our order, followed by another 30 minutes for our food to arrive. We waited around 10 more minutes for extra plates to share, but no one brought them, so we had to go to the server station and get them ourselves. After that, it took another 20 minutes just to receive to-go boxes. In the end, we had to scan the QR code and pay on our own due to the lack of service. We also observed multiple tables leave after waiting over 30 minutes, unable to get a staff member’s attention just to place an order. Our waiter appeared distracted and disengaged, which made the experience feel unprofessional and uncomfortable. We did see the store manager speaking with and apologizing to another table, but from what we observed, there was no effective follow-up or improvement in service afterward. Because of the lack of service throughout the entire visit, we did not feel the service warranted a tip. Why have waitstaff at all if customers are forced to serve themselves? You might as well operate this as a self-service restaurant. Due to the poor service and lack of effective management, we will not be returning and would strongly caution others before dining here.

I came with my family to celebrate a very important birthday. We are a group of 9 which I know is a lot so we made sure to make a reservation the day before. I arrived 15 mins early with 2 people, and the woman named Maria at the host table was so rude and condescending for the whole interaction. After I confirmed the party size she asked me with a rude smirk “are you sure?” And when I told her there would be 2 children I counted to myself from 9 down to 7 then told her we would be 7 adults but she interrupted me and in a mocking voice counted down “7,6,5,4,3….” then laughed at me. Even when asking if I needed high chairs or kids menus it was done with a condescending attitude and I was spoken to like a child. I’d also like to add that when I walked in I wasn’t greeted because she and a group of people were gossiping at the host table and even after she finished talking to me they continued to gossip. She also sent me several looks while I sat patiently for the rest of my group to arrive. I fully lost my appetite but sucked it up and went through with the meal as it was almost 7pm on a Monday and I didn’t want to sour my family members special day. There was no need for the attitude or comments and I can’t believe that was the first impression I received when I arrived.

splurged for DoorDash Prime Rib b/c site picture looked so delicious. Five bites only the rest all fat. Tasted disgusting and like beef jerky. One of the worst meals I have ever eaten. Do not waste $33 go to Applebees instead
