Order ahead of time if you are in a hurry. Ordering inside may look like it is going to take a while if the line is snaked around the queue, but the staff are very efficient in keeping the line moving. We had the burritos and bowl. Food is tasty. If you are gluten-free, get the bowl because the tortillas for burritos and the bread for the tortas are made with flour. Aguas frescas are good. Was not on the menu but available if they have not run out, is the cucumber, spinach, and lime agua fresca-quite tasty.

I was in Salinas for the weekend and was craving some Mexican food for breakfast. After doing a bit of research I seen this place. I knew I had to check it out. The location is in a primes area with tons of parking around the sides and a big parking lot in the back if dust doesn’t scare you off. Walking into the place the line seem big, but it went by pretty quick. I was looking at the menu the whole time and I didn’t know what to get because everything looked so good. I opted for two burritos and got a side of tortilla chips with their beans and rice and guacamole. They also sell various Mexican desserts. I got some Corridos de Sinaloa. 10 minutes later I got back to the place I was staying at and the food was still very warm. I got a Carne asada burrito, Carnitas burrito, a bowl, taquitos, chips and guac. Man, those are some of the best burritos I’ve ever had here in California. The bowl was very good and everything tasted fresh. As others say go. Go now. Add it to your list of places to try.

This place is a legend among locals and those who know the Salinas area. It started as a small neighborhood market selling produce, grocery goods, drinks, etc. It also had a small taqueria. Family owned for many years. The mother of the family can cook up delicious Mexican fare. The taqueria was so popular that it exceeded sales of everything else. Eventually the market was turned into food to go orders, and it has excelled. My favorite are the burritos. Carnitas are moist and seasoned all so well. Chilli Verde is spicy, as well as the costillas. They also had fajitas at one point, but no longer. Other meats include, chicken, chili Colorado, chicharon, al pastor, chili relleno, carne asada. The lunch crowd can be huge and a line out the door so be prepared for a wait. Try it I don't think you will be disappointed.

I was sold on this place when I saw they make their own tortillas. My husband and I shared Chile Verde & Chile Colorado Burritos. Both were delicious. I don't think you can go wrong. The tortillas are fantastic. My only small complaint is that they don't roll the burritos very well, so they fell apart while we were eating them. There isn't any seating inside, but they do have picnic tables outside on the side of the building, so that's where we ate. I'd highly recommend coming here if you're in the area!

Order online to skip the line! Burritos were on the smaller side but it was just the perfect amount! Wish there was a restroom that the customers could use. There's a tiny outdoor seating area, inside there isn't any seating

Made a stop here during my pass thru 101 and saw how highly rated this place was so had to check it Out. Layout: The way how things are setup reminds me of Tacos El Gordo in Las Vegas except this one has 1 line but splits into 3 identical stations. Service: friendly staff and quick service, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes though that is with no line. Taste: I was a bit suspicious of the price for a burrito at first and turns out, I was correct since the burritos are small. 1 will satiate your hunger and 2 should be a good amount, as much as a commonly sized regular burrito but surprisingly, this was good! order 1 chicken and 1 beef burrito, both with guac and hot sauce. I really really enjoyed the soft tortilla! The chicken one though was white meat, not my preference but it was still moist enough meanwhile the beef was just plain ok, nothing to write home about. Overall, agree that it is better than your average spot but only worth a check out if in the area!

Not what I was expecting for breakfast burritos. They were much smaller than I was expecting. Ended up getting two. That was nice because I could try two different kinds. I was expecting a large burrito that I could eat half that day and save the rest for the next day. That did not happen.

Read about this place. Decided to stop for a breakfast burrito on our way down the coast. Pretty great breakfast and we got some tortillas as well so that we could make our own breakfast burritos over the next few days at the beach house. It's a order at the counter style place with no seating so you are either taking it home or eating in the car. Saw more than a few people sitting in their cars eating.

Quick stop before going down to cal poly. To be honest, I feel I can’t fully write a review because I got confused. I have been learning Spanish for most my life but mixed up some of the Spanish words and ordered a burrito with the wrong meat. This is totally on me. I wanted to order chorizo but accidentally ordered something else. Feel like a chorizo burrito would have been amazing from this place. The tortillas are freshly made but I thought they tasted a bit funny. Like they were soft and mailable but it just tasted a bit different than other places. It was thicker. The burrito was small but good in flavor. Overall, alright burritos. My Beli gave it a pretty low score but also I think this is due to my ordering error. So I gave it four stars but actually it’s prob like two or three. Decent spot.

Long line, good looking food. Only issue I had was that the burrito I ordered 2 seconds ago was already cold and I had barely made it to my car in the parking lot. Restaurant was recommended by a co-worker and it definitely let me down on the first try.

It’s decent. Order at the counter, build a burrito place; though they have more than burritos! Just look at the menu. Burrito is small and they don’t warm the tortilla. I like warm tortillas. Meat is delicious though. Refried or pinto beans; didn’t see black. Extra charge for most fixings: guac, cheese. Outdoor patio seating.
