I love this restaurant. I went there for lunch. They were busy. They serve my favorite Platos carneceria and I requested to include camarones and they obliged. Great food, tasty, serving is just about right. Seems to be a local favorite. Will visit it again soon.

First time here and it was amazing,amazing people with beautiful tast. We had a great time coming..its always good to dine out with good people and great food thankd the the adequate server that served us made is feel right at home and was verry promoted with service thanks again five stars and would come back soon...

Stopped here after a long hike in Pinnacles National Park for a late lunch on a Wednesday. Chips and salsa were good and served almost immediately after we sat down which is great when you're hungry. Drinks came really quickly too. Same benefit. We tried the red chili enchiladas which were good. Their red sauce is very new Mexico legit but with zero heat. Coke served in bottles with cane sugar as expected. Beans and rice were good. Very solid overall nothing to complain about. Great option in a good and safe area.

Went for lunch the first time last week. Or waitress was great. We got to talking and it turned out that she was the owner! We chatted for a while, lovely person. Had a chicken sandwich that was not Mexican fare, but was so good that I ordered burritos to go and my wife and I had them for dinner. Good Mexican food, nice price, the feel of a friendly neighborhood Taqueria.

Amazing!!! Blackened chicken fajitas and burrito are awesome! So much food, for so cheap. Love this place! So far, it is the best authentic Mexican food we have had in Salinas! Great waiter, very attentive, as well as cute and cozy. I rarely rate places, only the places I really enjoy.

Wonderful place small and quaint, service is quick and the food is on point very courteous. Food enough to take home if you can stop eating when you're full. I ordered the LaPlaya dish shrimp and blackened chicken which comes with rice black beans and homemade corn or flour tortillas. Love it will be back again.

The nacho needs aliile bit more work but it was delicious I still gave u a 4 staR for food the salsa and the soup saved it. The salsa I am a man of heat and sweat. I love it when I eat salsa with chips because I can experience every flavor in every bite. . The soup really hearty and just a little bit more heat, Try to make the chicken cubes created your tortilla straps with fresh tortillas ans let's get some more veggies. It was still good just given you some advice if you wanted it or not. Get you started sith a lunch special and it bring clientele and or a breakfast buffet. So far everything is delicious thank you

Is especially good, again at a more-than-reasonable price. Located not too far from the Amtrack / Greyhound station, it's well worth a visit.

Appetizing is everything we find appealing, mouth-watering, delectable, savory, delicious, palatable, inviting, tantalizing, toothsome, luscious, tempting, tasty, enticing... all in this one plate of food! My first visit and definitely not my last!! Reasonably priced, friendly staff and cooks that make Michael's Grill and Cantina feel as if you had a home cooked meal.

I have seen all 5 *s to this delicious and tiny spot in Salinas. It appears to be nothing changed much. We visited this place in 2017 Dec on our way to LA. Remember this taqueria and Salinas always. Delicious Mexican restaurant in downtown Salinas. The portions are generous, especially the taco size. Wow! We also got some kids' meals and they also were a good size. The flavored were great and the house salsa was a good heat. As of today, 3/26/21, there is dining inside. Note that the street out front is torn up and under construction. The photo shows a two item combo - green enchilada and carne asada taco.

I always pay attention to the salsa when I befit a Mexican restaurant. I love the salsa here. The food was good, but it wasn't great for me. I had tacos and expected street tacos, but they had lettuce and cheese instead of cilantro and onions. They were good, just not what I was expecting.

I've been eating here at M.T.'s since the 1st year it opened up. Love the food, everything I've ordered here has been very good, no complaints! Just wish they would serve breakfast, I know it would be good as well! Maybe some breakfast burritos & torts for the people/customers on the go! "What do u say Anna"?? 😉

Excellent salsa complements the tasty food! Chile verde burrito is large and flavorful with all the usual accompaniments. Chicken quesadilla also well made with extra pico de gallo and sour cream. Beer available. seemed to have a popular take out business at the same time. not a fancy tourist place but a family run restaurant in a well used setting.

Consistently delicious food. Limited menu (i.e., they don't have some basics like carnitas, chile verde, or chile Colorado). What they do have, however, is some of the most delicious dishes based on grilled meats. If you like tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, and burritos you will love this place. You can get any of those dishes with grilled chicken, grilled shrimp, and grilled beef (carne asada) but they also have shredded marinated beef as well. Highly recommended.

If you're not from CA beef tacos are shredded beef not ground beef. Very good and fast.

The food and the service were good but they have horrible toilets which raised doubts in my mind about the hygiene they keep in the kitchen.

Fairly good fare. Probably would not return. The waitress was pretty clueless and couldn't multi-task. They serve steak but expect you to cut it with a butter knife. Also, very small dining room. Dirty doors.

Passing through Solano at lunchtime and had a tough time finding a spot that was open the day after Thanksgiving. This spot was open and had plentiful out door seating so in we go. Prices are good, the food was okay, service was decent. I had a two item combo featuring a bland potato taco, mushroom & cheese enchilada with old (canned? frozen??) mushrooms, can't really recommend either. Beans and rice on the side were okay. Chips were decent, salsa was decent. Partner had the house burrito which was served with black beans (better than the pinto beans I had, both types were refried) and rice. He said it was alright. Big kid had a shredded beef burrito but he only ate half of it and he normally stuffs himself so... presumably not the best. Little kid had a side of beans and rice, was underwhelmed. So, don't particularly recommend and likely won't return but it got the job done so if you end up here, just know that you could do better but you could also do worse.

Food was pretty good but I didn't really feel welcome since I'm not a "regular". The regular customers were getting all the attention, refills, check-ins, etc. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and iced tea and my total was $18. Big disparity from the menu price.

Food was ok 3/5. Service is 2/5 because they stated their internet was not working well, and could accept cash. No one could take Paypal or Venmo, so the waitress suggested I go to the ATM half a block away. I took out $40 in cash, paid the $3 service charge, then returned to the restaurant to pay for my 3 tacos. Only after I paid them did they start making the tacos. I got nothing extra for my troubles of having to withdraw money and paying the $3 surcharge, not even some tortilla chips. I'll go elsewhere whenever I'm in town.

I ordered blackened shrimp quesadillas, the quesadilla was alright, the black beans were good as well, but the rice look a bit off and we're stale. The hostess chose to ignore me. I didn't say anything as she was serving plates but after initiating eye contact ud think she would say something. Nope she went behind the counter and decided to be on her phone.

I don’t know what is going on in this place, the food use to be delicious I even asked the girl at the front desk if they had new management or new owners because the food hasn’t been good lately every time I go I’m hoping that it was just bad that day but I think I’m gonna start going to the one in Marina that one is really good.
