Taqueria Super Pollo

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast burritos! Perfect ratio of eggs, meat, and potatoes and large portions. Highly recommended spot!

I had a wet pastor burrito. Maybe one of the best in my life. Perfect pork and presentation. Loved the big screen futbol games too. I'll be back when I'm in the area.

Always delicious!!! and let me tell you they have some of the yummiest chili relleno, Tortas, enchiladas and delicious rice and beans! My family and I always make it out here when we can!

Service has always been impeccable here; nice people, and they never get annoyed at special orders (my wife is extremely picky!) Everything we've ever eaten here is good, but their tri-tip burrito is one of the most filling and delicious meals you'll ever get. The only complaint I've ever had was when the North Davis location closed down, because it was a five-minute walk from my office... but that burrito is worth driving across town for!

We have been going to this restaurant for several years and always enjoy our meals. The chili rellenos are so tasty as well as the pork tamale. The owners are so nice and provide great service Try the place and you will not be disappointed.

Loved it! Great prices, fast service, delicious food. Mixes good Mexican know-how for cuisine with good Salinas-grown produce. Had the "Wednesday special" of two beef enchiladas, beans and rice - it was very good. I would absolutely return and try more food there.

UPDATE JULY 2023: Was served the completely wrong food with a hair in it. Super bummed. Removing 2 stars. PRIOR REVIEW: Love this local cheap n cheerful taqueria! I get the Super Pollo carnitas or carne asada bowl and request no rice to stay on my keto diet.

Used to come here often but the prices have increases and the portions have decreased. Will only recommend this place on which ever day their special is what you plan to get anyway

Today Sunday morning I was going to order breakfast and I have always been fond of their machacca . I have has this burrito a million times and this time it was lacking the star of the show meat. No I figured I ordered these 2 burritos at 9:45 a d maybe they were short on meat because this burrito was a potato and egg burrito basically. I called Super Pollo to let them know. Wasn't mad just disappointed and wanted to let them know, j Instead I was told they make them all the same and have done it this way forever. I said I've eaten there forever and this is not how they usually are made. I was told they use a hand full of meat yet mine and my wife's burrito was missing that hand full unless made by a child (small hand). No empathy or apology just deflection . Again their food is good but in this instance it was short on quality. Where's the MEAT?

The beans and rice for the burritos are average. Definitely better flavor at other places like don Betos, or even Ticos tacos. But the asada was flavorless, chewy, and on the dry side. Tried to make myself enjoy it and gave it a few bites, but I just couldn’t be okay with it. When I shared my dissatisfaction about the burrito to the “owner”, Huge attitude was given to me. I wasn’t rude about it, even explained that I hate to be that person. Gave over my thrice bitten burrito, and explained that I wanted a refund. They had to make a show about how they will eat some of it in front of me and said “if I find the meat good, then You won’t get a refund”. I didn’t expect to get this much attitude, so at that point I was willing to leave the burrito without the refund. Luckily they just wanted to get rid of me, and handed over the refund. I won’t be coming back here again. There is honestly better taquerias with much better flavors, and much better service than this. This place can easily go back to not existing in my “places to visit” list.

I got a bacon breakfast burrito for the first time here, and there was no bacon in it all egg and potatoes. it was also 12 dollars, ridiculous! Take your money to bagel corner now that's a breakfast burrito, ill never go here again

Just picked up a half chicken combo with rice and beans and I had a black hair on my rice, the worst part is that I was almost halfway into eating the rice and I serve some to my daughter and she was also eating it. I called the Taqueria Super Pollo and all they said was sorry, like they did t care much for it. I don think I’ll be going there again. Costumers watch the food carefully see what you’re eating.

Purchased a chicken California burrito for delivery and burrito was bland no flavor. Could have made something better at home, will not be ordering again.

That might have been the worst fish taco I've ever had. The fish was mushy and have no flavor whatsoever. The rice and beans were boring with no spice or flavor. The whole combo plate had no decent flavors at all. Service was good, but the food was terrible.
