My Wife and I went to the Capri Seaside Italian Kitchen for a date night. Our waitress Stacey was very friendly and accommodating. We started with a beverage, My wife had a Ruby Red Cosmo and I was driving soooo ginger ale. Stacey told us to relax, enjoy our drinks and take our time ordering. We took her advice and started with the white mussels. They came out excellent!! No grit all shells open with a fat mussel in each one! Nice light lemon garlic white wine sauce with crostinni on top. Also coming before the meal was a small basket of fresh bread w sun dried tomato dip..yummy!! For our main courses my wife had shrimp scampi w linguine. 6 huge well seasoned butterfly shrimp in a delicious garlic shallot lemon wine sauce. I had the veal francaise with a lemon white wine butter cream sauce over lemon parmesan risotto. It came with sauted broccolini. Both meals were excellently prepared. We were impressed with the quality of the ingredients, service and most importantly taste. Shrimp were tender. Risotto was creamy and smooth. My wife finished her meal.Stacey jokingly asked if she wanted a box for the 6 strands on linguine. I took home a nice piece of veal and some risotto. Saved room for dessert. They have a nice variety of cakes and Italian pastries. We chose a piece of tuxedo cake. It was a chocolate cake with milk chocolate frosting and some white thin lines of frosting in the layers, paired that with a nice cup of coffee. Dining experience was a little over 2 hours. Nice and relaxed. Bill came to $112 w25%tip so $140 soup to nuts Would highly recommend this restaurant and staff. They are Open Weds though Saturday4 to 9pm. Sunday 4 to 8 pm
Always delicious!!! Everything we eat is good. Over the years, we had charcuterie, chicken saltibucca, eggplant rollups, pulled pork sandwich, huge pork chop, pasta, pizza, chicken parm, salted caramel cheese cake, coconut creme cake, and some yummy drinks. We had a great server. He was ruuning around.
This restaurant was an unexpected delight. We were going to the Blue Ocean Music Hall for a performance that night and we made reservations for dinner at the restaurant which is right across the parking lot. Our performance was at 8 pm and we got reservations for 5:30 pm. The dining room was spacious and bright. That said, our meal was outstanding which included signature cocktails, appetizers, garden dinner salad, entrees and a homemade bread service that included and amazing cheesy marinara EVO concoction. My signature cocktail was the Berries and Cream Whoopie which had a mini lemon Whoopie pie garnish on the rim and very much tasted like dessert. We ordered the Burrata Caprese and Antipasto as appetizers and both were excellent. The Antipasto came with a perfect selection of cheese and meats and accompaniment which included fig jam and olives. My entree was the Shrimp Scampi with Angel Hair Pasta which was cooked perfectly. The three of us were too full to try the desserts on display when you walk in but they look delicious as well. Our server, Emily was amazing and provided great descriptions and recommendations for our dining experience. This restaurant would be a great choice at any time and you need to go to the music hall to give it a try. I highly recommend it.
Tasty! We had a reservation for 7pm but arrived at 6 and got seated immediately. Friendly service. Delicious food! We had the cannelloni bolognese special, lobster ravioli, a parm combo and split two cakes for dessert with coffee. And the bread with tomato pesto topped with balsamic was amazing!!
Capri is a great little Italian restaurant by the beach. The food is really good and they have some delicious cocktails. The chicken parmigiana was fried nicely and had a great crunch to it. They do offer keno which is fun. I felt bad for the waitress because it seemed she was serving a lot of tables. But she was very nice and friendly nonetheless. I would recommend making a reservation just in case.
We attended an Evening with Sinatra night. Not only was the food outstanding, the entertainer was great fun. Ever course was well prepared and absolutely delicious. My husband and I enjoyed the special date night over great wine, music and service. I hope they host another event like this.
Stumbled across this place by accident after visiting the beach. What an incredible restaurant. Food was phenomenal, one of the best meals I've ever had. Staff were professional, welcoming, and very nice. Location was incredible and gave the perfect atmosphere. Great place for a date night! As for price, I had an appetizer, two entrées, two desserts (pictured below), two drinks, an alcoholic beverage, and a specialty drink (cappuccino). It came out to $95 before tip, which is a huge bargain for the quality of food we got. Will definitely be coming back and bringing friends and family!
Not your beach food eatery. Brick oven pie's and all your Italian favorites.
Most amazing scampi I've ever had. Hard to find good Italian food, and much less a restaurant that doesn't overdo their butter. Drinks are decently potent and great with the food. Had we had more room to eat, we would've taken more bread and that yummy dip home!
Delicious dinner w my kids and our waitress Maria was excellent!
Comfy spot, great pizza & cocktails walk to the beach
Matt was our fantastic server this evening! Matt was courteous, warm, friendly and very attentive! Food was delicious and generous portions, but the service was what made the experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a takeout order. Very friendly, and excellent Margarita pizza. Kollin
The food and wine and service were absolutely superb. The Ruffino Modus Super Tuscan, mussels in red sauce, veal & eggplant parm, and frutti di Mare could not have been any better. Riane is a phenomenal server. Thank you!
We had such a wonderful time at Capri, celebrating my wife's birthday with our family. Nick was a real big help in our planning and arrangements for 14 people. Jackson took care of all our dining and beverage needs with friendly, timely suggestions and service. Everyone enjoyed the food choices and discovering Capri as a wonderful hidden treasure. We have dined here many times and this was a great way to share with others who will be back. Thanks to Nick and the whole team at Capri for making this a great occasion.
This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. I have a couple favorite pasta dishes, but also like the pizza made in the brick oven. I was just there and noticed the pizzas coming out looked better than usual. I ordered a pizza and it was by far the best pizza I ever had there...just enough of everything to make it perfect. It turns out Nick is the new pizza maker, so kudos to Nick, and also the amazing staff and bartenders.
We love Capri & visit this wonderful little Salisbury gem of a restaurant regularly. The food is always fresh & delicious. The staff is wonderful. Our favorite waitress MaryLou is just a doll & always accommodating. Kathleen the manager makes you feel so welcome & goes out of her way to make your visit a great experience. Capri is the best!
We came here for my mom’s birthday, and it was delightful. We were seated immediately and give menu’s. The waitress, Meg, was so nice. Our drinks came soon after we ordered them. My mother suffers from celiacs disease and it make many restaurant experience stressful for her as many places don’t accommodate her dietary restriction. However, at this restaurant we felt very accommodated. The waitress went the the kitchen and asked the chef to make a special dish for my mother with no gluten, and with all the things she wanted in it. She ordered gluten free pasta with grilled chicken and red sauce. She said it was some of the best gluten free pasta she has ever had. Overall, it was a great experience.
Family style dinner, large booths - very pleasing atmosphere. Great service. Delicious & very generous portions. We shared stuffed crab delicious & still tool home leftovers
First thing you need to know is they have their own parking lot 🙂 We had the fig and prosciutto Pizza, lobster stuffed raviolis, and crab cakes for an appetizer. The lobster stuffed raviolis were good, the crab cakes were very good, but that fig and prosciutto Pizza was amazing. I'd be happy just ordering that the next time I go back here. Our waitress was very friendly and very attentive. the atmosphere of the restaurant is very casual, not loud at all.
The bartenders a wonderful and the food is always great
Love this place! Our favorite restaurant, food and service is always excellent! The atmosphere has a very warm cosy feel ❤️
The service was phenomenal. The food was outstanding!
Ordered take-out tonight with my wife. Food was great and exceeded our expectations. Really liked the new interior design when I picked up the order. Thanks for a great meal and good luck. Looking forward to eating at the new bar. It looked comfortable and homey.
Outstanding service. The waitstaff (Danielle and friends) were solicitous and the manager was hands on. My wife's entree was not to her liking, and she had her meal replaced and then comp'd - completely. The food was high quality as were the cocktails. I would highly recommend and will return soon!
Been there many times. Very inconsistent. The last time I went will probably be my last. We had reservations for 8 people. The waitress we had wasn’t very attentive or professional. They set the table with 2 drink and 2 special menus. The waitress came over to take our drink orders before I even had my chance to look at the menu. Someone handed me the menu and the waitress stood there almost glaring at me I felt the pressure and just picked something. Then I asked the waitress if we could split the bill up. She said no because she already took the drink orders. That really irritated me but I let it go. Then I found out my sister had asked the same thing and she was the second to order. When they brought our drink and was ready to take our meal orders my cousin not knowing I already asked about splitting the bill asked again. This time she said she would check with a manager. I spoke up and said I will pay for all the drinks just do the meals separately. At that point she said she would split the bill. She used it being busy as an excuse not to split the bill and why it was taking so long. Normally when I go out with a big party the waiter or waitress would ask up front if it was 1 bill or separate. That was just the start of a bad experience. The bread came out about the same time as out order. 1 couple ordered 2 pizza and when the server delivered them he just pretty much dropped them on the table not even in front of the people who ordered them. Then my meal came out which was a surf and turf special prime rib and baked stuff shrimp. The prime rib was huge and I’m thinking things are turning around! But then I cut into it. It was the toughest piece of meat that I’ve ever had. With out exaggeration a couple time I thought I was going to choke trying to swallow it. The shrimp was in a baking dish and sat in 1/2 of water which tells me it was frozen shrimp. When we were done a couple people took boxes and when the waitress put my sister in laws food on the table she did it so hard that the food splattered on her. She didn’t even apologize. I waited a few eels to write this review because I didn’t want to write it while I was angry and hate trashing local businesses. But ever since Covid everyone uses being short handed as an excuse. I for one am sick of getting subpar food as horrible service and hearing excuses especially since everyone has raised their prices. I would expect them to also raise their standards if they want us to pay premium prices. If you are going to give bad service and bad food lower the prices. Give us what we pay for…
OMG!!! Delicious and I am writing this sitting at the table in which I just devoured the best Chicken Parm I have had and I have eaten a few in my life. The restaurant was full and everyone seemed happy. Overheard the table next to us rave about their pizza. Our server Stacey was excellent as well. We will go back and will recommend to others.
Capri Seaside Italian Grille remains my go to spot for great Italian food along the seacoast. The chicken parmigiana is always delicious, crispy, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. I often pair it with a side meatball and plain bread, which they are always happy to provide. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, great for couples or family dinners, and the service is consistently friendly and quick without feeling rushed. In our recent visit, after being away for a while, the taste and quality of the food were exactly as we remembered, excellent. Takeout service was fast, easy, and just as good as dining in. The parking situation can still be difficult during the summer since the lot is not always monitored and people use it for other nearby businesses, but that is a small drawback compared to the consistently great food and service year round. When I am in the mood for Italian, this is always the place I choose.
They were on the busy side. We did have a reservation. Service was very slow. There were 3 in our party. Bolognese was delicious. Chicken parm was okay. Chicken on the chicken scampi was good. The scampi sauce was not good to me, not enough garlic and butter it was very heavy on the lemon. Cocktails were great and their desserts looked fabulous
Came here with a group of friends on a girls trip. The food was great! It was a wonderful dining experience. So much so, I am taking the other half of my meatball sub back to DFW!
Excellent place to go for a dinner and the staff is very friendly, courteous, fast. Their Italian food is awesome
Sat at the bar and had a very tasty dinner. The bread and sauce they gave us first was outstanding! Chicken parm was really good and my husband enjoyed his chicken piccata. I wanted to try the risotto, so got that instead of pasta with my meal; unfortunately, it was bland so I would not recommend it. The lemon chiffon cake was a perfect finish. Will definitely go again.
The food is great, if they will let you have a table! I called for a reservation this past Friday night. I was told there were no tables available until 7:30. So we drove over to see if we could sit at the bar. There were plenty of empty tables, and we were seated immediately. I couldn’t believe that folks were coming off the street with no reservations (I asked them!) Why would they discourage people from coming in? There were plenty of servers and three women standing around the podium with little to do. Maria was our server, and she took good care of us. I enjoyed the Haddock Francese and strawberry shortcake, too. My friend enjoyed her eggplant parm. The wine I ordered was sour- Kim Crawford Sauv Blanc. I would suggest they serve a Sterling, which is much more drinkable.
The eggplant parmesan is one of best I have ever tried. The pizza is delicious. The service was a little slow we got there late as the place cleared the tables did not start to get cleaned as 2 bus boys standing around playing on their phone. Can't get good help these days. All In all it was a nice time and would love to go back and test out more things on the menu.
It was our 2nd time there. Nice atmosphere, and the prime rib was fabulous! Best I have had in a long time. We sat at the bar. The bartenders made great drinks but could have been a bit more friendly. We really enjoyed our meals. It's definitely worth coming back.
The bar was a nice place to sit and enjoy some good Italian food and wine. You can't tell from the outside so definitely take a peak inside and you will be surprised at what you find!! The food was solid. We tried the chicken parmigiana and pasta with meatballs. Other people were enjoying the pizzas which looked very good. Update: They have great specials! Wed is pasta night with salad bar. The pizzas are fantastic. The bread is warm and fresh with great dipping sauce. The bar service is very good. It's a warm cozy atmosphere with multiple fire places. Overall a nice place to come for dinner and drinks whether you sit at the bar or at a table near one of the fireplaces. It's a good place for larger groups too.
It was a busy night on our visit. We were seated immediately, as we had reservations. There were six of us. We had a chance to relax over drinks, then appetizers. We waited a little longer for our dinner, then rushed to eat it. We had a show to get to across the street. The food was excellent! Word to the wise, inform your server if you have a time limit. Our visit lasted two hours. Plan accordingly, and you won't be disappointed.
Valentines day is definitely a busy one ,food was excellent but the staff was not. No smiles on anyone and the lady up front helping seat people with the pink and white striped shirt was very very rude.
I had the shrimp scampi dish. Photo below. Good dish with a lot of garlic. To me, it was a little heavy on the lemon juice. The dish was a little too tart and citrus for my taste. Other than that they give you nice big shrimps. The decor and nice and updated. A little dark but nice. Parking is hard to find, but the owner owns both Capri and Seaglass. If you cant find parking in their little lot. You can try to park across the street at Seaglass. I would try this place again and give it another shot. They do give you bread at the table like all italian restaurants that is a mix of olive bread (olives baked into the bread) and plain bread. They also give you a nice tomato dipping sauce for the bread which was pretty good.
The food was good, with generous portions and big glasses of wine. Wednesday's night special is a choice of 4 pastas, 4 sauces and some very and protein choices for a very good price . The service was a problem. There seemed to be only one waitress. It took an hour from arriving for our pasta to come. The hostess who seated us brought bread and water, but when I asked for the Wednesday special menu, she said to ask our waitress for the card. Very odd. Why wouldn't she just get some for us? The waitress was not friendly. It was a shame about the service because otherwise the restaurant is ideal.
Food was really good. Got there about 6pm, thought we would have enough time to eat and get to the show by 8, but that didn't happen. Service really slow waited over 2 hours to get food to the table, and it was barely warm. No fault with our waitress, there seemed to be only 2 of them on for a busy Friday night.
What is going on here! The last few visits very recently have been disappointing in some way w/everyone within our party having issues w/something. Overpriced $15+ cocktails served in 4 oz martini glasses are very inconsistent, especially last night having to return 3 drinks within 2 rounds and 2 others needed doctoring up (5 martini's off). The espresso martini tasted like watered down ice coffee, worst I've ever had and $16.50, really?! If you're going to charge almost the amount of a meal, then you better be spot on! Every time now we have to "ask" for bread and dip which too is not as good as it used to be, all noticing. Eggplant parm - tasteless, lacking sauce and mushy, ugh... Francaise was off a little w/flavor, which we got the last time being very good. This is one of our fav places but we will not waste $ on cocktails in the future, wine is a safer bet and hopefully the entree's will be better executed. Not sure if management has become complacent w/cking on cocktail quality or bartender performance and food leaving the kitchen but a checkin is needed. Update to owners response: Now this is a class act, professionalism, and I dare say what maturity looks like by not being defensive which can be very easy to do w/reviews. Thank You for hearing me! This response makes me want to give another opportunity and have hope things get resolved.
Food and wait staff were very great to the point I began planning my wedding's rehearsal dinner here. Was referred to the website to view options and scheduling. Online it says they are able to accommodate parties of 20-35 guests. This is both before and after their menu and website were updated. Originally had 35 guests was told if I got the number down to 30 it would be better for them to serve. Once I did, I contacted again and was told they only do parties up to 12 now. So that kind of ruined the experience for me. Now I have to rush to bring my party elsewhere
Three stars is probably generous. Came here, as we have in years past, after the Festival of Trees across the street. Got Brussels to start, which were decent. Ordered chicken parm and meatballs/pasta for entrees. Everything was okay, under-seasoned but otherwise okay. My son’s pizza came out when we were almost done with entrees. Service was very, very slow. We asked for my drink - wine - a few times over the course of 30 minutes and there were many excuses for the delay. Okay, I’ve worked in restaurants, things happen. When my husband went to pay with a gift card, we were told to go to the bar. Waitress realized we were trying to pay with a gift card, not buy gift cards (not sure why there would be confusion about that). She finally agreed to accept payment at the table. My 10 year old daughter and I went to the bathroom and she overheard the waitress complaining about her table trying to pay with a gift card. Ultimately, my husband accompanied her to the POS system to assist with the processing of the payment. So unprofessional and unnecessary after we were completely patient with bad service all night. Apologized for the huge inconvenience and we won’t be back.
Arrived for our reservation 5 minutes early and was promptly seated at a high top table right by the door. The waitress eventually showed up dropped the menus and left. She seemed rushed and didn’t explain any of the specials. The waitress returned and took our drink and meal order. The drinks showed up and we waited for our meals. Meanwhile another table was set up next to us, a couple was seated and promptly their waiter took their order they received drinks and bread. We were still waiting for our meals and never got any bread. Our food eventually showed up and we asked for some bread that showed up after we had our food dropped off. My wife ordered the prime rib and baked stuffed shrimp with a baked potato. Everything on her meal was excellent, perfectly cooked tasted delicious. I ordered the chicken parm with angel hair. It was ok at best, the chicken was awesome, most and tasty, perfectly cooked. The pasta was slightly overcooked but the issue was the sauce. It tasted like it came out of a can, literally a metallic taste. The waitress never came back to ask about our meals and I’m very disappointed with the sauce that did a disservice to the dish. Chicken parm is a basic staple and is hard to screw up but it is possible. In this case it did. This is the second time in a row I go to this restaurant and the meal or service are subpar. I’m not sure if I’m gonna drop another $175.00 on a subpar restaurant for a meal or service that is meh at best. Extra disappointing because the prior 8 times I have gone here and it was excellent. Not sure what has changed but it’s a gamble at best if you’re going to get a good meal and good service at the same time.
It's fine. Chicken parm is good but the rest of the food was a miss. Betsy at the bar is the best though
The only reason this is not a 1-star review is because our waitress was very good. We were a table of 4. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer, and that was very good. We opted for two pizzas. BIG mistake! I have NEVER had pizza this bad anywhere! The chef should be ashamed! The dough was tasteless. The sauce would have been better if ketchup had been smeared on. All four of us were in agreement. Really, just plain bad.
BEWARE ordering takeout. They try cutting corners and will purposely get your order wrong if you ask for substitutions. They forgot my bread as well as my side of sauce. I ordered two veal parms with sauce on side since I had a drive and did not want my food soggy. When I checked the bag there was no sauce to be found so I asked for two sides of sauce. I was giving two cups filled 1/3 of the way. My bread that I paid for was also forgotten and when I asked for some i was given three ripped up pieces. My veal is also burnt. I don’t know if they were angry about the substitutions or just too busy but if that is the case do not offer takeout. I order here often and won’t be back
Cold food! Took Mom out for my last night in town. Took 45 minutes to get COLD fried calamari appetizer. Sent it back. They offered to make another, but we decided to order our mains since app took so long. I ordered 16oz prime rib end cut with loaded baked potato and baked stuffed shrimp ($50) and Mom ordered chicken & eggplant parmesan combo. My end cut prime rib came out cold to the touch and Mom's dish came out lukewarm with the cheese not even melted. At this point I decided to speak to a manager, something I never do. Manager, came out I explained the situation, she was unapologetic. Asked if I had an end cut, to which I asked, "Are the end cuts here supposed to be served cold?" Disappointed. tldr: Service was fine. Food could be great if they served it hot. Management doesn't care. 👎 Won't be back.
Had a 5:30 p.m. reservation seated immediately ordered apps and entrees didn't receive our main food until 6:35 p.m we had a concert across the street at 7:00 p.m. 90 minutes should have been plenty of time to enjoy a good meal instead we had to eat way too fast and then take home a take out box which sat in the car for 4 hours on the plus side food was good. Better than the concert
