As a native New Yorker, this is the closest bodega/deli experience you’ll find in Central Texas. Cliche and stereotypically true that NYers are picky about their bagels, pizza and pasta and Bagel Boss gets my seal of approval (for what that’s worth). The service team were friendly and attentive, bagel selection was plentiful and food was delicious. I was so excited to find this local gem visiting my in-laws that I went back the very next morning. Atmosphere in the store felt like home with “Scenes of an Italian Restaurant” - Billy Joel playing over the speakers; nice touch! Attached, I went with my staple: SEC - Salt, Pepper, Hot Sauce and a hash brown on a Salt bagel. It isn’t on the menu but highly recommend! Thank you, Boss Bagel!

This place was amazing!! Me and my hubby stopped by for breakfast looking for somewhere we could both eat. I'm vegan but he's not and he saw online this place had good options and boy did they!! I'm not used to being able to find places that serve vegan breakfast in this city and my bagel was delicious!! I had an Everything bagel with the green onion tofu schmear and added tomato, red onion and lettuce. The cashier was very helpful and let us know of the nondairy milks for coffee too! I got a vanilla latte with almond milk. This place is great and I'll definitely be coming by more often!

My husband placed an online order and drove 20 minutes to pick it up so he could bring me brunch in bed !! He said they were INCREDIBLY busy but they were great in there. My bacon egg and cheese bagel was delicious. Their bacon is top tier! Next time I’ll add avocado. My husband loved his yard bird sandwich too. Special shoutout to their iced latte with caramel. This is the best coffee I’ve had in a long time.

They make the bagels right there where you can watch. It's a lively atmosphere which makes the place inviting. The staff is patient and friendly. I had a bacon bagel with green onion schmear. The bacon flavor didn't come through, but the texture and density of the bagel was perfect, so I didn't mind. They are very heavy handed with the schmear, so I had to take some off. That's not a bad problem to have, though 😄

This is a must stop for bagel lovers, they have a huge selection of bagels, spreads, and toppings! We got four bagels to try with different sweet and savory/breakfast toppings and it came out to about 40 dollars which is a bit pricey but they do at least pack the toppings and spreads on there for you! The bagels themselves are very good quality and have that chewy texture I look for in a bagel. The staff are friendly and the place was clean. Might not be the most comfortable place to sit so we got it to go!

I saw this place next to the pizza place next-door. They had a lot of people there, so I thought I'd go in and see what the hype was all about. I see why people come here. They make the bagels fresh. The prices are right. They have a good selection of bagels. They sell gelato. The service was great. We were treated well. Everyone was friendly. Our order was ready very quickly. This is a great place to get a bagel. I really like the bacon bagel.

Came in a little after noon and waited about 20 minutes to order in line but gave us to time to decide what we wanted to order. Got the Bee Sting and one of the specials the Italian job and an iced latte with cold foam. Waited about 20 minutes after ordering to receive food but everything was so good! Bagel wasn't dry and I would highly recommend either bagel. Cashier were personable, it was enjoyable to also watch them make the bagels fresh at the front of the restaurant. Lots of different options with schmears available, can imagine finding something for everyone here. Would highly encourage for a more causal and cheaper eats option.

Bagels were hot and fresh. Store had a bad flow to it. Crowd waits in middle of store for orders, orders are placed in the back. Ingredients kept up front with the dinners. If you come in and order only bagels to go, you should get them right away. Instead you have to wait for other people's sandwiches to be made before you are serviced.

Hello my fellow Yelpers. So let's talk about Boss Bagels. What a cute little spot located off of New Braunfels Ave. When you first walk in your eyes go directly to the bagel making equipment that they use all day. So neat, you get to see the process up close and it's amazing. Let's talk about the Mocha coffee...delicious for a bagel shop...crazy good! Highly recommend. The bagels are fresh and they have plenty of smear to choose from and also bagel sandwiches. The bagels don't taste like your store brought they are good good. Service is friendly. Go check this place out. Forewarning you they are pricey but worth it.

The bagel was okay price but the dough was very chewy. My jaw was a little worn out on half a sandwich because of the density. It’s okay I guess. I prefer the local supermarket bagel because it is easier to chew. Maybe I was craving a softer texture that day. Despite the large crowd and tons of customers, the service was fast. Prices were fair though slightly high.

Toasted bagel and a cup of "coffee" at the airport, $8:50,geez Bagel was okay, reasonable amount of cream cheese. Coffee was a vaguely mocha colored liquid, basically hot water with a hint of flavor -quite possibly the worst cup of coffee I've ever had.

Very disappointing experience. The bagel was super tough, leading to an extremely messy sandwich that overall lacked flavor. I had high hopes for this place after seeing all of the praise on a San Antonio restaurants page but I won’t be back. Staff was nice at least.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Boss Bagel, and this visit was disappointing. Two of the four bagels I ordered were noticeably off. Two had cream cheese spread only on one side, while another bagel in the same order looked great. There were barely any tomatoes or onions, either. Also, the bacon did not seem up to snuff either usually it’s crispy and it looks undercooked. For the price—and especially since I was the first person in line—there’s really no excuse for the quality to be this inconsistent. I hope this was a one-off, but it definitely wasn’t up to their usual standard. That said, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated.

I used to come here all the time when I lived closer. But now that I’ve moved, I only come when nothing else is open yet. I believe they changed owners. And since then, the quality has gone down. The picture I posted is the measly amount of filling inside of my sandwich. When I’d get this sandwich before, just half of it would fill me up. But today sandwich was insulting for how much I paid — 1 slice of ham, 1 folded piece of bacon, and the world’s tiniest egg. A word of advice — maybe spend LESS money on make these dense bagels, and spend more money on how much you’re offering inside of it. When I got my bad of food from the counter, I even checked to make sure my order was right because the bag was noticeably lighter than what I had been used to. For context, I come from the northeast where the pinnacle of bagel sandwiches exist.

As a NYer, this place had the worst bagel I’ve ever had in my life. Just ordered a simple everything bagel with cream cheese. Somehow they managed to make the bagel sour. Not only was it overpriced, but there were zero redeeming qualities. No idea how this place is still in business.

The bagel had no flavor and was really dense and doughy- It’s like bread in the form of a bagel. Also, they forgot to toast our bagel. How do you forget to toast a bagel?!! We didn’t like their coffee either, so just an overall disappointing experience for us.
