We visited late afternoon on a Wednesday when we arrived in San Antonio. We specifically made a trip downtown to come to this Dave & Buster's. We parked at the Rivercenter parking garage; I don't recall what it cost to park, but it was not excessive and it did not take long to find a spot in the garage. This location is on the upper floor of the mall area, and I'm certain that the mall entrance is the only entrance/exit which is not a problem, especially considering they are at the Rivercenter. This Dave & Buster's was well maintained and, between the dining and Midway areas, everything seemed nice and clean! We did not have a meal at this location but we did get a drink each and had a snack. Service was phenomenal! We mostly played games here; the Tech was restocking the Funko Funcade game and there was a cute prize on the play field, so we played for that prize for a bit. We played a handful of other games, and the games seemed to be maintained fairly well; we only had one minor issue with the Basketball Pro game. It's not unusual for that game to have issues with either the pump or the sensor. They had a photographer and photographer-in-training and they picked us to pose for a few sets of photos in front of the Funko game. This is only the 2nd location at which we've seen a photographer, and she was sweet and professional. We got to chat with a couple managers for a bit and they were great people. I liked this location and would visit again, but we were in town for a wedding that happened to be the same weekend as the NCAA Final Four, so we otherwise wanted to avoid downtown San Antonio. If we come to town again in the future, I look forward to visiting this location again!

Came here at 5 pm on a Friday to a great atmosphere - not too crowded and got served super quickly in the high top seating area. Food came quickly exactly as ordered and waitress was very attentive and kind. Management for the evening, Tina, went above and beyond in helping us out when one of our kiddos wasn’t feeling well and saved the evening.

Had a large group here with buffet along with adults ordering on the side. The party room was spacious. The food was ok. It didn’t arrive hot at all. I asked the waitress for a frozen margarita and she said it could be done. When she returned, it a drink filled with foam which I had to return. I ended up ordering a regular drink as they don’t really do frozen from my experience. Games were fun! Kiddos had a blast. They do need more prizes in the lower points range, even if it’s just a variety of candy. Overall it was a fun place to get together with friends.

This is the downtown location at River Center. We didn't eat or drink there, so I can not comment on it. Big place, spread out. Facility is clean, staff very friendly. Parking is easy, but crazy. As soon as you pull in the garage forget any grace period. I think it was something like 0 to 15 was $5

Super cute bartenders, awesome place for birthday or corporate parties, trivia once a month hosted by the lovely Analisa, awesome service from awesome servers. Great atmosphere and fun place to be. Happy hours are Monday thru Friday (4pm-7pm) and Sunday thru Thursday (9pm-11pm). Wednesday is half price game day (ALL DAY). Cantina nachos are a must have and the backwoods blueberry lemonade is the best alcoholic drink on the menu.

Like an adult chuck e cheese but for older kids and adults. Thoroughly enjoyed myself playing the games having some drinks and even earning tickets for prizes. They also had bowling and sit down food which we did not end up doing but the food looked great.

If you want to be taken care of, ask for Allstate “You’re in Good Hands” trust me you will not regret it the best server I have ever came across. My kids loved his MickeyMouse voice impression🫶🏻 he is very good and makes you want to go dine in again in the future. Food was delicious over my expectation.

Walked in and asked if they could play a specific basketball game as it was primarily ufc and boxing being shown. Manager got right on it and sat is in front of a TV where he would switch the game to. We ordered an appetizer to share as we were not that hungry that did take a while to come out. Randall the entertainment manager came out and let us know that due to the long wait he went ahead and deducted the full price of the appetizer from our receipt. This was great because he honestly did not have to do that but he went above and beyond.

I made a reservation for my Birthday and unsure what to expect from this particular Dave & Buster. I've been to another Dave & Buster, but this was the first Dave and Buster I've been on my own. The atmosphere was amazing! I tried their Nacho plate and bacon burger which was fantastic. The service was friendly, kind, and respectful. I will most likely revisit this Dave & Buster again and again. Although I was a little hesitant with their nachos, but in the end it had a wonderful taste and different from all the other nachos I'm so used to eating. I didn't try the games out, but maybe next time I'll have more time to play.

My husband and myself went just to play games. We found a coupon spend $25 get 25 free. Lots of the game options and all the machines were working. We had so much fun and it was very clean.

As much as I enjoyed my time here when we went yesterday (2/26/26) food wasn't what I was expecting. I ordered tenders and they were super skinny (I took a pic before I ate I'll post with this). I got 3 small tenders and some fries. I'll blame myself for not knowing it came with coleslaw so maybe that's why it was a small portion of fries. (I moved the coleslaw before the pic). Then we got a steak meal, I asked could we sub out the sides and was told we could, but was charged 5.50 for an add on for the substitute. Which is the price to add a side 😒😒😒 so instead of the 25. It was it ended up being 30 for that meal. Server was awesome and attentive even tho we had like 16 people with individual tickets for an ice breaker event. The drinks from the bar are a bit of expensive (but that’s to be expected of a place like this.) but they are really good. The employees were all super helpful and friendly. Everything looked pretty clean. I’m only removing 1 star because some of the games were broken and not working properly (but you didn’t know until you’d already used your power card points).

Kind of a small location, but still a good time. Has most of the games you'd expect, and when I was there the crew was unloading a brand new game (Cyberpunk!) so they're definitely still investing! The location is a little awkward after hours as you have to walk through an empty mall, but other than that it's the D&B you know and love.

***MILITARY DISCOUNT*** Biggest Gripe is when you want to sit in the restaurant area and not the bar, it takes a while for someone to acknowledge you to get a seat. It isn't a very distinct spot to get on the seating chart. That should be done as soon as you walk in. So I can see how people get frustrated because I was. We waited 15 minutes before someone noticed us even though the front desk was not busy, and she knew what our plans were. The games are fun, oversized, and pricey. Let’s get right into it. There are only three workers I saw. I wanted to order food to go but couldn’t find anyone. Got a soft drink from the bar but that’s about it.

Nice getaway during and after work. We have our team outings here as well. Haven't had any issue with the servers, they prebus, get drink refills without having to wave them down constantly, and it's overall pretty clean inside. Some of the games could use some maintenance and maybe a small bump down in price or payouts to make them feel like they provide more of a value when you dump a ton of credits into trying to finish a credit eating game. Restrooms clean-ish Can recommend this location though! Just depends on what you're looking for and setting expectations.

Waitress gave horrible service but didn't care because it was a group & we were gonna be billed 20% gratutity anyway. The service was pretty terrible, we sat for about 15 min before our waitress even introduced themselves. Our orders were all mixed up and came super spread out. My husband didn't even get his food until everyone else was practically done eating 🙃. Refills took forever, our waitress would disappear for extended periods of time. Considering the food is over priced, since its an arcade, I would hope the service was atleast decent, but no such luck. Food was okay, nothing wrong with it but not really worth the cost. We only ever come for the arcade, which is always a good time, but now I see why we never eat here.

Our server was wonderful! The food was really good. The atmosphere was okay but quiet for a Friday night and for a business along the Riverwalk. There was a man at the front desk who was actually asleep when my husband and I walked in. Thought he was going to fall out of the chair, which could have been dangerous because he was very large.

There still should be an option to order with the server. Other than that food ok,kids loved the games and prizes.

Customer service could be better, you are greeted when you walk in which is way better then the balcones heights location, however the prices are still absolutely insane $35 for 4 drinks not alcoholic btw, additional $60 for 2 cards for half the games not to work and for prizes you can buy at dollar tree. Consumerism is out of control and you can’t even take your family out without spending $300 to have a mediocre time. It’s insane.

I brought my daughter here and spent 60 dollars. As an old fan over 15 years, i feel the games are not that attractive anymore and each game costs more to play but gain fewer points. The gifts are also very cheap and you need really to spend more money and lucky to get more points to exchange for those cheap gifts. I know it's mainly for fun and the kids don't care about it, but really not a smart choice from adult's perspective. Those ball games are fun and worth to play more. Some games are quite boring and few people there in the holiday weekend. They really need to come out some innovative games.

Had a not-so-great experience here. Seems like they’re short staff even on a Saturday. Tables available but waited over 30 minutes. The server was kind but did not actively listen as we repeated it 3 different times after she kept incorrectly stating the order. When food arrived, I noticed two strands of long, curled hair on my wings and in the ranch dressing. The manager came and said it was part of the grill brush, which we thought was so silly since it was long and curly. Also, how can you confirm or deny where it came from anyway? We obviously didn’t believe this especially since we saw a female that matched the hair description. By the time my food came out again (remake) everyone else was nearly done with theirs. While I waited, the server asked twice if I needed anything. This was annoying to ask because of course it’s my food I needed! When the check came they made it seem like my order was comped but they had actually charged it twice when I went back to look at the itemized. We were initially planning to come back the next day to see a game but changed our minds. We would not come back again.

If it wasnt for the gameplay this establishment offers, there would be no restaurant. The pasta had no flavor, the ribs were smothered with bbq sauce to hide the fact that they were burnt and dried up. The server was awesome! I don't expect smiles, scripts or a warm personality but I at least expect to be treated like a person who's paying to eat at an establishment. Basic level human decency was not found. Food ordering, locating the server, missing order, bill paying and even just handing off a cash tip to them was infuriating. Multiple times there were waiters/waitresses standing around doing absolutely nothing but bantering with each-other while being totally oblivious to not just ours but multiple tables needs. If I I could rate this place any less than a 1 star I definitely would. $80 dollars for absolutely unacceptable service and the worst customer service experience we’ve ever had, I will never set foot in this dave and busters again.

Rude staff, long wait time for food and drinks that are mediocre at best. We were in like to check out our prizes. When it was our turn to checkout (now 12:00:5) (5 seconds after midnight) the cashier told us they are closed and we can't checkout...we had 2 items already picked out to checkout. It would've taken her less than a minute to check us out. Won't be coming back to this location ever again and I wont recommend anyone else to either.

Food is not good. The menu selection isn’t very appealing. I’ve gone many times thinking it’s just me but after spending $55 for fish n chips with 90 mins of game time. It’s just not worth the $ the fish was dry the fries are mid. I don’t return my food I just take it as a lesson. As of this last visit, lesson has been learned

I had a disappointing experience due to the bartender’s Xavier’s lack of attention. My boyfriend and I waited quite a while to place an order, but the bartender completely ignored us. Thankfully, another waitress stepped in, took our order, and was kind enough to honor the happy hour pricing .If it weren’t for her, the visit would’ve been a total loss. Management should definitely address this kind of service.

Out of all the Dave and busters I’ve gone to this was the least pleasant of them all. The service was slow even with only a handful of people on dine in. The burger given was not what I ordered the menu said it will include BBQ pork belly and only bacon was included. Aside from that the food was cold. If covid didn’t kill this business this terrible customer service will. Not to mention I caught the employee eating talking and on her phone instead of helping us out! She also only gave us two napkins when there was 4 of us!

We waited an hour for our table and the table we sat at was available the whole time! My son wanted to order ribs and was told they were out. I ordered a burger well done and my burger was FREAKIN PINK and a little bloody in the middle. My fries were brought out cold. The waiter was nice and took the burger off my bill.

Spent 15 minutes sitting at their bar and was never approached or spoken to by an employee. When I tried to waive people down, they gave me a just a minute signal but never came back after 5 mins. There were at least 3 other people waiting for service with me. Very understaffed spot for a Saturday afternoon

I live in San Antonio and wanted to go out for date night downtown yesterday. and the cowboys(football team) where playing so we set our sights on Dave and busters. Big mistake we get there and the waiter tells us it going to be a wait on drinks because of shift change so we say that's fine. Mind you it was empty not but a couple at the bar I would of thought that it would be packed because of the game but they told us the day before the Chris brown concert was going on so We thought everyone was recuperating...so we ask for water watching the 1st half and they come(the waiter and someone he's training) and ask if we want appetizers I say sure can we get the quesadillas they say there's no avocado 🥑 we say it's fine in that my husband needs to charge his phone we took a Uber downtown right as soon as he got home from work so he didn't have time to charge his phone so ..so we look around and find a out plug we tell the waiter if we could change spots he said it was fine we move....nd here comes a (Karen) that works there..she says there's nowhere to plug it in because she saw us trying to plug it in but it was I guess she didn't want to pay more in light that month already...we noticed more ppl coming sitting at the bar and getting drinks..we still haven't got ours we get our food 1st and ask what's the update on the drinks we are almost done eating when they come with the drinks I was very disappointed asked for the check left and went down to Coyote ugly and spent my money there I should have been on my second drink they missed out on money I don't know if we looked poor or too Mexican for them but will never spend my money at this establishment

I tried their version of the impossible burger. The burger itself was good, but the size of the patty was tiny. Go here if you don't mind spending $15 for mainly bread. Also, my friend's fries were cold. Take your money elsewhere. I'm sure that McDonald's or Burger King is just as good.

Had the worst experience at this location. Sat at the bar and waited 20 to even be recognized. The bar tender wouldn’t even give us eye contact and would go and serve people who just arrived. I will never come back to this location due to the bad customer service since we walked in and then not even been acknowledged was a bad representation for Dave and Busters.

$17.50. the steak came out so cold it had to of been refrigerator, but the server and manager made it absolutely clear I was 100% wrong and that the steak was cooked fresh and put on the salad hot. But would not tell me the secret to the chilling effect by the time it got to the table. Almost magical. They just mentioned it came from the 'cold side'. After being schooled I was wrong they offered to remake it. No thankyou, I get it I must of been imagining the chill and I guess just needed to be put in my place. I'm glad I ordered a adult drink before hand. update: Lowered a star for having to be reminded of how fun this was by filling out a comment card at their request

Our server was nice and told us about the orders. But when the one of the orders came out it was barely a serving befitting 20 bucks very sad. Last time I was here there was a good helping of pasta and chicken but this looks like the leftovers of someone else's dinner than a new meal.. I got the chicken Parm

Went To Take My Family Out For A Night Of Fun. This Scan Menu Was Not Good. I Would Rather Have Had A Waiter Or Waitress. Food Was Small Portions For The Price. Also The Tables Next To Us Stayed This Way For Over 30 To 40 Minutes While The Employees Stayed Posted Up At The Bar. The Game Side Of The Building Was Dirty, Discusting Empty Glass Used Napkins Were On Tables On The Floor And On The Games. Not Impressed Kind Of Disappointed For This Was Dave And Busters First Impression On Us.

Food was fine for those of us who got our food. Several didn't and got the run around and then a very rude manager giving excuses rather than remedying the situation.

We spent nearly two hours waiting for food, corrections, and to speak with a manager. I asked to speak with management before leaving and waited about 30 minutes. During that time, the manager went to a large 20 top table three separate times and told my server they were his priority, even though we had been seated first. When he finally came over, he confirmed that the larger party was his priority. There was no apology for the excessive wait or poor service, just an explanation of why our table was deprioritized. There were multiple billing errors. I was charged for a rice substitution that never came out and for a double shot of Jack Daniels that was never delivered. My salmon was served unseasoned then the waiter brought out a side of seasoning for me to season my own food, so I didn’t eat it. They later counted the salmon and the incorrectly charged drink as “comps,” even though I never received the drink or ate the salmon. The only additional resolution offered by their customer support was 100 chips ($20 value). To make things worse, we were told a corrected receipt could not be printed and were instructed to scratch out the total on an already paid receipt, which felt extremely unprofessional. As a Level 7 member who spent over $130 that night, I expected much better. Because of the delays and issues, my two year old daughter wasn’t able to play, became overtired and upset, and our outing was completely ruined. I’m thankful I didn’t purchase the 90 minute unlimited play as suggested or we would have wasted even more money. Overall, the service and customer service were unacceptable. I will not be returning to Dave and busters after this experience.

We were having such a great time with our server Crystal she is so amazing so don’t let this review take you away from her but the MANAGER ADAM FORCED HER YO CLEAN OFF OUR TABLE while we were playing games and she felt so bad she had to come tell us. If we are still in the building and playing games that’s given because the establishment is literally food and fun and for a manger to force a server to do something she doesn’t want to do because it could have cost her the tip but we understood but ADAM. SHAME ON YOU. I WILL BE CALLING CORPORATE ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE!

Had a terrible experience at this location tonight. Our group had about 25 people, and from the start there was major miscommunication with ordering. After an hour and a half, seven people still had not received their food. At the same time, food was coming out randomly — some guests were receiving entrees, appetizers, and desserts all at once, showing a clear lack of coordination. When we asked for help, the manager on duty (Lee) was confrontational and dismissive. Instead of taking accountability, he blamed the system and made excuses. When I asked him to go into the kitchen and check on the missing orders, he threatened to have security remove me, which was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. After 2½ hours, we finally paid. When I reviewed my bill, I saw an automatic gratuity of about 45% added. My food was $17.98, yet $8.60 was added as gratuity. Another manager acknowledged the issue and said it would be removed, but claimed it could not be corrected at the time. Between the extreme delays, missing food, poor management response, inappropriate security threat, and billing issues, this was an awful experience. I would not recommend this location, especially for large groups.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE! Had to wait about an hour just to be seated! Luray was our server and she was awesome at the beginning. One she took our order she never came back and I had a party of 9. One by one everyone started getting their food and my family never received our food. We waited for about 45 minutes to 1 hours till we finally said something to someone who wasn't our waiter. He then never came back and we finally saw our waiter and she went to check on it and came back and said we never put in an order! She was telling us she can make it real quick if we don't mind waiting and said she would take 15% off. I asked to speak with the manager Lee and took forever to come out and offered the same thing. He offered to make our food and said my son's pizza would take 5 minutes! THAT took another 15 minutes. They both tried to basically say that we never placed an order when the damn lady took forever to even take the order! Only good thing out of this place was that they didn't charge me for my toddlers pizza! And to top it off you will wait about 30-40 minutes just to get your damn drinks!

This Dave and Buster’s inside the San Antonio mall delivered some of the worst service we have experienced. It took 20 minutes just to get iced teas. Our food had to be ordered, then re-ordered, and then arrived in slow, scattered batches. We eventually had to track down the front hostess to locate the manager, who explained that there were 150 band kids in the back. We are those parents, so we already knew that, and for the record, another restaurant handled our entire group the night before with excellent service and no issues. The kids said their meals were tiny sliders, five soggy fries, and small pizzas with a single large pepperoni placed on top. Our server eventually came back with our food, plus additional dishes we never ordered. The manager apologized and promised a discount across all three of our checks, but that discount ended up canceling out the veteran discount one of our friends was expecting. To make things worse, when the bills finally arrived, they were completely jumbled. We only had seven people, yet our checks were mixed together with items from one another’s orders. The waitress had to go around asking each person what they ordered all over again. At that point, the entire experience had become chaotic and frustrating. Because of all the delays, we even missed our scheduled Alamo photo opportunity. This was poor management from top to bottom, and we will not be returning or recommending this location for future competitions.

Dining area: Disgusting lemonade, flat beer, non-existent service , just a horrible night. Walked away before any food arrived. Games are fun though.
