Absolutely fantastic dinner at Ruth’s Chris San Antonio. Our drinks—a Pomegranate Martini and a Smoked Old Fashioned—were spot on. We ordered the 6 oz and 8 oz steaks, both medium rare, paired with lobster and crab-stuffed shrimp. The steaks had that perfect crust and melt-in-your-mouth center, and the seafood was wonderfully juicy. The au gratin potatoes and lobster mac & cheese were rich, comforting, and worth every calorie. Every dish hit the mark. A must-visit for steak lovers.

It’s not often I leave reviews but I was really impressed by this location. The food was superior. The staff was kind and friendly asking us constantly if we enjoyed our drinks and our meal. The manager visited us at our table; very down to earth professional service. The steak was like no other! The bartender mixed our drinks with perfectionism. This type of service means everything to us as customers. You just don’t get this kind of service and atmosphere in the Riverwalk anymore these days. Thank you for making our visit amazing! We will be back!

This IS the place to eat. Bring the wife, the fiance, the girlfriend, the husband, mom/dad who ever. The customer service, food, drinks all the way down to the bread was spectacular. Sit at the bar and enjoy the amazing mixed drinks, ask for Ernesto for sure. Not to mention the amazing mouthwatering steaks. Hands down the best!! Frank the manager is the main man you have to meet. All I can say overall is Perfection!! Tell him Danny sent you!!

We had an amazing experience here traveling from out of town (couples trip) We had a large group of 10 and they accommodated us with no issue despite the fact we made reservations last minute. When we arrived past our already LATE reservation time of 8:45pm, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff prepared a decorated private room for us to celebrate our anniversaries. Jonathan our waiter made us feel at ease and DID NOT rush us even though the kitchen was about to close. I felt bad initially because it really was time for them to close (we arrived around 9:30pm). But the attention and experience was excellent. We felt very welcomed and LOVED our attentive server (Jonathan I think) He hit every mark and was such a pleasure. I’m sure he wanted to go home like anybody would but we couldn’t tell. He stayed over his shift and was so pleasant and handled our large group with ease. He even gave us recommendations for going out! Lastly, the general manager greeted us near the end of our experience and he was wonderful (I forgot his name but we ate here 11/15 and we were the last party of the night). We chatted a bit and could feel the fact he took pride in his team and service! And the food was excellent ofcourse! Nothing was sent back and steaks were cooked to perfect temperature. The menu was a delight. Overall I was very impressed. People working late anywhere honestly just want to go home to their families or just want to be off! But the team went out of their way to make us feel welcomed on our special night. It was just incredibly human and kind. You don’t get that a lot these days. And shout out to the kitchen because I know they were ready to go too!! But they stayed and cooked their butts off! I couldn’t tell it was end of last shift food. Not rushed AT ALL. So a special shout out to the Ruth Chris closing team on 11/15. I hope you enjoyed us just as much as we enjoyed you. And the GM is doing wonderful things there. And our server Jonathan I hope you stay blessed!

Went here as a solo female on a business trip. Went for a 7pm dinner. Wasn't as crowded as I anticipated. The food and service was top notch. Ruth Chris Steak House is always a go to when I travel. Always a great experience. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. Steak was cooked to perfection, and the side of potatoes and mushrooms were plentiful. The Creme Brule was absolutely to die for. 10/10

First time visiting this establishment. Made reservations online to celebrate a birthday. This location is downtown but in a very good location with a decent view. The food was well worth the cost in steaks and the lobster Mac and cheese. I would only say that we expected slightly better service considering the restaurant wasn't packed. Also we were turned away from the valet even though we had valet parking as part of our reservation. Overall I would recommend giving this place a shot.

First time at Ruth’s Chris Steal House and not the last. My server Jarvis was phenomenal! Very sharp and professional, but also very kind and personable. Requested suggestions and got more than expected. Started with an Old Fashioned which was great. I got the Ruth’s Chopped Salad with the Seared Ahi Tuna. A perfect match. Everything was beyond my expectations. Ended with a crème brûlée. All around amazing experience. Special thanks to Jarvis since he’s definitely an all-star!!! Even got the manager Frank to come by and say hi. Definite 5 stars!!! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Great food, nice atmosphere, and a good experience overall. Our waiter was very friendly, and he was more than happy to answer some of our questions regarding the menu. We ordered the lamb chops, steak filet, assortment of sides, and salmon(fish of the day), as well as some appetizers. Although the food took kind of a while to arrive, everything was well-cooked and seasoned nicely. However, for one of the sides in particular, the Crab Fried Rice, while the flavors and seasoning were delicious, it was far too salty, and we couldn’t finish it. We also ordered an apple cobbler for dessert, and although the ice cream was good, the apple filling was way too sweet. Still, the food was overall great quality, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant as a nice, high-end spot. Depending on the time of day, I’d also suggest reservations to make sure they have an open table.

My husband and I tried this place and it was an awful experience from start to finish. I ordered a rare steak and they couldn’t even get that right—I had to send it back. My husband ordered a filet mignon with shrimp and it was completely flavorless. To make it worse, the service was terrible: slow, inattentive, and clearly disorganized. For a so-called high-end steakhouse, this was embarrassing. The food was bad, the service was worse, and the prices are a joke for what you get. This was easily the worst steakhouse experience I’ve ever had. If you’re visiting, don’t waste your time or money here—go to Bob’s instead.
