Took parents out for Christmas gift and we all love seafood so this place at the San Clemente Outlets was PERFECT! Great place, great food especially the lobster roll, "The Grinder" (amazing and must find out for yourself food ;)) Nice to know its franchised so check out its other locations as well if your interested.

Best cod, fish taco ever! I like my grilled and it was perfect with the most amazing coleslaw and pickled onions. They were so nice to my doggy. We will definitely come back. Very hard to find a good fish place.

My go to spot every time I visit the San Clemente outlet. This place has everything, from comfort food such as the clobster grill cheese, to the healthy choice such as the power bowl. Both options are tasty and will certainly come back for more.

Customer service was on point! Food came out so hot and fresh!! Everything was very beautifully plated and tasted so delicious! Got the lobster roll, clam chowder and surf and turf bowl! So much food I had to take leftovers home! Also love the fountain drinks! I missed some of the specialty fruit drinks with black tea! Thank you to Patty, Tory and Gia for serving us today!

Haven't visited Slap Fish for a long time. Happened to shop at Sam Clemente Outlet and tried Slap Fish again for early dinner. The price increased after the Pandemic, but the food are still delicious. They have Happy hour weekday from 3-5pm, so we were able to order Tots, fries, spicy and sweet cauliflower for $2-3 each which is very good deal. This place has ample indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely a good place to enjoy delicious food while you are at the outlet. Give it a try when you are in the area.

I felt compelled to adjust my review of Slapfish. While the prices are a little high, I have to absolutely commend the restaurant on the amazing quality and flavors that I experienced with it recent order of their ahi tuna bowl. Excellent!!! The Slap Sauce is also very tasty. The pickled onions and coleslaw were wonderful. Check out the presentation as well. These flavor masters have got it dialed in. I’m a fan.

Great alternative to burger fast food. Good tasting fish with fresh sides. We had a bowl and sandwich both tasty. Only complaint is shrimp is fried with the rest of food and some folks have allergic reactions to shrimp.

What a great place! Friendly staff and amazing food. Portions are large and reasonably priced. Fish is big, flakey and delicious. Would definitely eat there again. I had the 2 handed fish taco and it was fantastic and very filling.

I think this is a great addition to the new outlet mall, exactly the kind of semi quick service but still quality food that should be here. The food was great quality, a bit heavy on the fried side only because most of the menu seems to be fried fish. But the fish is good quality and makes for a filling lunch. I was pleased with the friendly service of the staff.

Delicious niche food spot in San Clemente. It’s a chain so you’ll find a few other locations, mostly in beach towns. I came with a couple buddies because I knew it was in the area and I rarely get a chance to eat at this place. I told everyone to order the lobster breakfast burrito. It’s not on the actual menu, but it’s definitely their most famous secret menu item. ($18) The burrito itself is super fresh and cooked to perfection. There’s a decent amount of lobster in it, but the burrito is so good as while that I don’t mind the slight lack in lobster. The best bang for your buck at this place is hands down the chowder fries. For only $7 you get a small bowl of fries loaded with clam chowder, chipotle aioli, bacon bits, and chives. The dish is absolutely killer and exploding with flavor. (Pro tip: spread some chowder on a few burrito bites, it adds well) The food took about 15 minutes to come out and the presentation was a nice touch. You can tell they take their time for a good reason. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but I’m happy to make it a once or twice a year kind of meal.

Food was amazing and fresh. A little on the pricey side but worth it. I recommend this place to seafood lovers. The actually restaurant is small and can get crowded but don't let that discourage from stopping by. Try it, you don't regret it.

Great place to grab a quick bite to eat. This is real healthy eating. The food is fresh with a great taste. They have a good selection with fresh fish. Will definitely be going back for more. The portions are very generous so you will fill up with single order.

I ordered a power bowl and a shrimp burrito. Both were delicious with great flavor. Inexpensive joint with great food. Food presentation was awesome and yes the food tastes as good as it looks. Something changed. The lobster fish used to be juicy and satisfayikg. Today I got two, one to go and one to eat, both were dry, over salted, little meat, and not tasty. For $36 a roll, MP, I will think twice before trying again.

So sad!! The food at this location was pretentious and fancy, and was EXTREMELY high priced. We were excited to come here because Slap Fish closed their location in Phoenix Arizona on Bell Road, and the location here was bad. Even with it being in a georgious location, something felt different - like the menu changed, or the food changed to meet the expensive people / area...not sure. The fish was overcooked, underseasoned and bland, the tacos were sopping wet, the basic fish and chips were disappointing. The frys were boring and generic, the cold slaw was yucky... Sad to say, but we won't be coming back, and we won't be going out our way again to give it another chance, especially since they downsized. It used to be my favorite fast casual restaurant in Arizona.😭😭

They allow pets to sit in the restaurant... I even talked to a pet owner and they said they have been told it's ok. I obviously know service animals are allowed but it's since the law and health code to have animals in restaurants... Tell them pets are only able to be outside (Let them tell you it's a service animal)... If you ask, it's if it's a service animal, everyone just says yes and 90% of people will lie to you as it's not an actual ADA service animal. If you ask them, pets (and ESA's) are only allowed outside. The vast majority of them will comply. Dogs carry diseases and fleas that can carry typhus which is deadly... Yet alone those who are very allergic to animals. The lady employee at the front is always great and super nice so please keep her around and give her a raise, but I don't know if I'll be eating here too much more. I'll delete this if I see a standing sign out front (stickers on windows don't work) that says no pets inside. And hopefully you add to your talk tracks pets are allowed outside only.
