We had the champagne supernova flight and the 7 cheese board. Best cheese board we have had. The accoutrements were a perfect flavor match and paired nicely with the bubbles. Highly recommend.

Outstanding continental cuisine. Chateaubriand was out of this world. Souffles are wonderful. Lobster bisque is my family's favorite. Wines are outstanding and varied.

Take some time out of your day to sit back, relax and enjoy delicious food and wine. Our waiter Cody was professional and served us with the utmost attention. Even when there was a slight issue, it was immediately resolved and the item was removed from our bill. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend brunch chilaquiles and their OH so good friend chicken sandwich! Thank you for a wonderful date spot for my wife and me.

A true gem from our trip from San Diego to L.A. After too many burgers, overloaded pizzas and bad tacos, this was a real delight. We had the charcuterie and ordered some more cheese. The burger was so tasteful and our son couldn't get enough of the fries. Large selection of wine and beers too. Loved the Limoncello cake and the chocolate cookie! We came here the first time after the beach and as the service was so kind, we returned the day after. We might check in for a third time before heading home. This place is a real must try in San Clemente 😋

My wife and I live next to the pier. We are working on going to new restaurants in SC as we keep going to our favorite spots. But that the great thing about going somewhere new; it turns into a new favorite like the Cellar. Service was great, food was incredible and we had a fantastic $60 bottle. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm which allows for great conversation. I love my wife so much!

Quaint, cozy place. I had the Breakfast Burger without a bun. So much flavor! I can't imagine eating it with a bun and not being able to nap right after. The iced tea is fantastic as well. First time here and definitely not my last time.

I heard about this wine bar through colleagues; I am very happy to report that the Cellar lived up to the hype. The red wine flight paired exceptionally well with the Spanish board.

My friend and I went for breakfast during the week. It was quiet with a romantic atmosphere. It was open seating and the waitress was very nice. They have some vegan options. Their granola with almond milk and the chia seed pudding are both vegan. The have some delicious drinks as well. We got the hibiscus mimosa and the Bellini. Both were awesome. I'll definitely recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

Sitting in their outside patio on a lovely California day drinking a Hugo Spritz in the sunshine is my definition of a perfect time in this little beach town. Absolutely check it out- you won’t be disappointed!

Ended up grabbing a table at this restaurant on a very busy Mother’s Day. While most restaurants turned us down for no reservation and no walk-ins on special days, The Cellar was very happy to accommodate us on their pet friendly patio. Food was great and reasonably priced. I had the burrata and beet salad and I really enjoyed it. Staff and customers were equally friendly.

Happy Hour review: Five stars! The happy hour menu is excellent. We had the cheese plate and tater tots which was a great snack. The cheese plate is carefully crafted and comes with some creative accompaniments. The cheese monger here is clearly passionate and knowledgeable! I also want to shout out their lavender caramel latte. This drink was incredible, with the lavender infused into the caramel and swirled on the outside of the glass. An extremely memorable latte!

We had great service this time. Sat at the bar, and Tanner was the bartender. He was absolutely fantastic. I have had poor service before at least 3 times, and that's why I've only given 4 stars. Food was fantastic. Duck ravioli and grilled portobello were our meals. My only other complaint is that it's just dark, and for those of us who are older, it makes it difficult to read a menu. Beautiful place inside and out and every item we've tried has been delicious

My first time visiting this lovely cellar. It was a perfect day for a perfect alfresco lunch. We ordered the Spanish Charcuterie to start with, and although it appeared to be small, it was exactly enough for two to share. Every item was a standout on its own, and the mix was devine! I also ordered the chicken & waffles, and my friend ordered the beet salad. It was all delicious. Our server was the best, very attentive, but not overbearing. I give this place a 5 across the board, because we left feeling so pampered. I highly recommend stopping here, and, I certainly plan to return.

Ecstatic Hour really had us ecstatic — great, kind service from the bartender. We got the food we ordered super quick, too. The sidewinder potatoes and sliders and cheese plate and brussel sprouts (we basically turned happy hour into dinner) — all incredible tasty. What do they put on those potatoes?! So good!

Burger was tasty but a bit sloppy! Food took quite a while to arrive at table. Waitstaff was great. Enjoyed the live music. Nice ambience.

Service was very very slow, but pleasant. Ordered the cheese plate, they were backed up and recommended I try another appetizer. Great wine list by the glass and bottle.

UPDATED: I'm updating my review due to how awesome the owner of this establishment is. Dawn contacted me after my initial review and talked through my frustrations. She was very understanding and personally invited us back to try the place out. I'll update again once we've gone but I will say I'm very impressed with her as an owner. She really went out of her way to try and make things right and that's something I really appreciate. Thanks Dawn! 🙏🏻 Old Review We found this place online and were excited to try the menu. We showed up and I asked the lady behind the counter if they had room for 4 or how long the wait would be could I put my name down. She explained that they don’t take reservations or have a wait list that it’s first come first served. I was about to leave as the place looked pretty busy, but decided to make a check around the corner and sure enough there was a spot open for 4. The lady I spoke to even said “you could take that spot”. Just as I stated to take my coat off another server comes out of nowhere and says “that table is for this other group I told them they could have it”. At this point I got confused I said “wait a min she just told me you don’t have a list or save tables it first come first serve. So which is it?” The sever asking us to leave agreed they do not save tables but said he told them they could have the table. I said “well your other sever just said the same thing to me. So if you are going to give the table I’m already at to someone else can I at least put my name down? Sense you clearly held a table for those people can you do the same for me.” He replied “We don’t hold tables I’m sorry” and then proceeded to kick me out and give them the table I’d found and sat down at.
