the Mediterranean-inspired food is a welcome change from usual pub-grub, the beer list is varied, prices are sensible, and there's a humongous television on every wall if you're into SportsBall (or indeed, even if you are not). Friendly staff, good atmosphere, and they allow dogs. What's not to like?

I love this place. The entire bar feels like it's ADU accessible because it's low seating but who cares when everywhere I look, I get a great view of the games. Tons of hard to find tequilas behind the bar since this place doubles as a liquor store. Their well was Jose Cuervo silver! $5 wells. 🤯 The girls who are behind the counter are pretty useless albeit pretty but they just scroll on their phones the entire time but nevermind them. It did annoy me when the girl started mopping with harsh chemicals while there were still a ton of people in the bar; nonuse in telling her that's bad practice because I could tell it would just go in one ear and out the other. The younger guy, who is almost always there, is awesome and super nice, kind smile. The guys in the kitchen do a great job pumping out those delicious shawarma fries, yummy wraps, all kinds of bar food. They have daily specials like wing Wednesdays. Portions are big! Don't blow up my spot! Be cool!

Food is excellent. They have a rotating selection of beers, although I do wish there were a few more sessions in their menu. They have updated the place over the years. Really miss the trivia night, we used to go out for Moms night out and it was a lot of fun.

Impressive beer selection...I like IPA's, and they ALWAYS have a nice variety. The food has always been great. FYI, I like my burgers medium-well to well-done, if you don't say anything they come very well done. Tell them in advance if you want medium, or less, and you will not be disappointed. The staff there are very friendly, as are most of the customers, and is a good place for a bite and a beer!

Good sports bar- nice tap list and decent food, quick friendly service. Order at counter, then food & drink is brought to your table. Plenty of parking, the usual countless large-screen TVs.

The owner, Ronnie, has really done well with the place. The food was delicious, I had the Gyro on pita bread with garlic fries. My buddy had the Adam & Jacob sandwich.....fantastic! It was an early lunch so had a rootbeer instead of a cold beer on tap. Lots of TV's hanging on the walls for sports......awesome. Service was top notch. Coming back to this place for sure with more friends.

Futbol bar. Well, they show all sports but there's a load of football scarfs hanging from the ceiling. Gyro tacos were delicious. Good beer choice.

If you want to have a beer and some food while watching some TV’s, this is your spot. The atmosphere is chill and laid back. You can easily have a conversation at your table without the need to raise your voice. They have weekly specials and the service is great.

Had to share my experience here. It was amazing food. Nothing like good fries and chicken strips. Cant wait for this evening to try the burgers. Had an issue with my fries because I'm super picky. Thought they'd be plain but had their seasoning on them. My wife spoke to renee, she was more then happy to replace them and make it right. Steve was the guy that helped us today. They service is awesome and the food was great. Thank you again.

This place is a hidden gem!! Family feel, great food, perfect spot to watch games! The burgers are amazing and there are so many options. The beer options are never ending. Cocktails are very well crafted, the bloody Mary is my favorite

We just left here 5 minutes ago and I literally couldn't wait to post about how amazing the food we ate was! I got the gyro plate and was huge! I have enough food to eat tonight and tomorrow. The saffron rice was delicious and cooked just right. The gyro meat was flavorful and had just the perfect amount of tender and crispy parts. The Iraqi salad was so fresh, it tasted like it had just been chopped per order. My husband got the fried chicken burger with buffalo sauce and omg it was so crispy and juicy. It's a massive, hand-breaded chicken breast and it's served with hand-cut fries that were cooked perfectly. The beer selection was out of this world, with a fair amount on tap. We will definitely be back again!

Great selection of beers and other drinks. Their hard kombucha here was beyond refreshing! Good burgers and garlic fries with home made garlic sauce were phenomenal. Very attentive and genuine service here. Highly recommend!

Just ate there for the first time. It was a pleasant experience. We ordered the special burger of the day, and it was plenty of food for a very reasonable price. The have a ton of food options, and I'm looking forward to trying some other items. The have a lot of beer on tap and in bottles. I didn't drink beer today, but it looks like a great spot to do so. All of the staff we interacted with were very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend Balboa's.

Had to get my car fixed up at the pep-boys, so I decided to walk across the parking lot to this spot and get myself a few beverages for the two hours I needed to kill. Super glad I did, as the prices were good and the fellow patrons I spoke with were friendly!

I’ve been here several times. The first time was half off wings on a Wednesday. Then I came a different time on a Thursday for their Loaded Nachos. Their food is so delicious 😋 I also came for the Monday cheeseburger and fries. They have a food special for everyday of the week. And well drinks are always $5. You can’t beat that. I’ve only come here one time in the evening and it was more full of people. Other than that it’s usually not that crowded during the day which is something I like. Wasn’t too crowded and our tab wasn’t crazy expensive for 4 people being there for 3+ hours. SD was playing and they did $3 shots when they got a home run. Vibe for sure 👌

Their food is phenomenal and way better quality than you expect to find in a beer place but it is top-notch. They have an awesome selection of beers on tap and usually have great specials going on for food and beverages. Also if you're not into beer they have a decent selection of wines that you can purchase for as little as $10 a bottle. It's almost cheaper to buy a bottle then to drink it by the glass and you can take home what you don't finish.

This is a hidden gem excellent food and excellent service i had an excellent dinner at Balboa's tap house I ordered the philly cheesesteak and French fries and it was only like 16 dollars get deal the philly cheesesteak meat to cheese ratio was perfect the meat was seasoned very well the bread was soft on the outside but was toasted inside absolutely delicious the French fries could have used like a minute or two more in the fryer but they had good flavor there was plenty of parking and they have plenty of beers on tap the atmosphere was great really cool place

This place is a chill spot to meet some nice locals, and charge your electronics, and watch the Wild kick the Dallas Stars butt in the Playoffs! It's a whole lot better than sitting at Pep Boys for 1-3 hrs! Oh and don't forget to order the "Naughty" sauce. Pour that stuff on everything!!! PS the customer service is super awesome! Be friendly to them, so they stay this way.

Balboa's has always had amazing staff, huuuuuuge beer/wine/liquor selections, but their food has been.... mediocre at best. Now that they are cooking shawarma (chicken too!) that you can have on fries or chips?!?! OMG you really need to try them. The place has also improved over the years, it feels more of a nice atmosphere almost classy but with enough TVs and sports to make any fan feel at home instantly. Did I mention the shawarma fries? Love the family that runs this place, their beer is legit as well which you can also purchase. They are very kind and hospitable even to the occasional rowdy sports fans (Eagles/Boston fans you know who you are). 10/10, will repeat multiple times just for dat Shawarma!!!

I stopped in because my car was being worked on for an hour at Pep Boys. Wow! Taco Tuesday shawarma tacos were incredible! This place is clean and the ambiance is cool. They have sports TV’s set up on all walls if you’re into that. We liked the marble countertops and mostly the food. The service was good. I’ll be back.

My boyfriend claims they have the best Old Fasioned in all of San Diego. I wouldn't know, as I don't drink. But they have non-alcoholic beer and allow my dog, so we love visiting!

Great American menu with a varied list of loaded fries. 32 taps of rotating micro brews and Friday night pints where you get a glass from the sponsoring brewery.

The Burgers are not too bad here and the staff were more than accommodating.

The venue is nice and we had an ok burger, but he atmosphere and the service was really nothing special, the bar vas besically empty at lunch time but we had to order and pay at the podium like they were in a hurry, and they were not Customer friendly at all. Beautiful interior. Great place to sit and enjoy the vibes. There beer flights pretty steep. I did not expect that bill at the end - 😳 The falafel wrap was good and the tots crispy. However, they did not happy hour price it like the chicken and beef wraps. With tots that's like 20 bucks. Service was fast and friendly. The TV's felt excessive. Its mostly counter service but the waiter came to our table a few times to check in. That's cool too. The inflation monster is here. Beware.
