After a long day of traveling we happened upon this spot for dinner. The food, drinks and dessert were fabulous. We even came back the next night for dinner also. We had the Swordfish, Halibut, Filet Mignon and S'mores Brownie. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing!

Brigantine Seafood in San Diego is the definition of getting it right. From the moment I sat down, the vibe was dialed — polished, coastal, and professional without trying too hard. The service was locked in and knew their menu like pros. I kicked things off with the crab and shrimp fondue, and let me tell you, that appetizer alone could be a headliner. Rich, fresh, and ridiculously addictive — easily one of the best starts to a meal I’ve had in a long time. For the main course, I went with the lobster tempura tacos and their signature grilled marinated swordfish. Both were absolute standouts. The tacos hit with that perfect crunch-to-tender ratio, and the swordfish? Cooked to perfection. Tender, flavorful, and exactly why Brigantine has a reputation for seafood done right. Consistency is what separates good restaurants from great ones — and Brigantine shows up with their A-game across the board. Food, timing, service, cocktails — everything is tight. If you want a place that respects your time, your money, and your taste buds, this is it. Five stars without hesitation.

5 stars all the way. We went for lunch and were not disappointed. The view was great and food was delicious. Top notch service. I highly recommend the Lobster tempura tacos. Flavor was amazing and portion was just right.

wonderful experience all around. blake was a wonderful server. he was personable, thorough, and provided great service. food was 10/10. shrimp dip was to die for. swordfish was literally cooked to perfection, risotto was also not over done, and broccolini was cooked perfectly as well. highly recommend me. will definitely be visiting when i am back in sd.

We went mid-week and were immediately seated. Tyler was our server and he was great. Attentive but did not hover. He suggested a few dishes and why they were his personal favorites. We had grilled swordfish and macadamia nut crusted mahi-mahi. Both were served over risotto that complemented the fish perfectly. Portions were generous and delicious, the best seafood we've had in a long while. The setting was casual contemporary and comfortable. The noise level was moderate but we were able to find a quiet table easily. It's location is wonderful and being adjacent to the boardwalk, it's nice to take a stroll along the water and boats. Parking is scant at times so it's advised to utilize valet parking - $20. The swordfish was $30 and a good value the quality of food and service. All menu items appear to be similarly priced.

Visited twice in the week we were here. Once for lunch, once for dinner. Service was excellent and food was fresh and delicious. The cold seafood platter was a touch pricey but worth it for the quality. Oysters exceptional (had them twice) and the crab stuffed prawn - divine! Lobster tail, buttery and fish and chips, crispy and flavorful. Can’t wait to go back one day.

We ordered the Crab and Shrimp fondue, Brog Salad and bacon wrapped and stuffed crab shrimp. Roll me out of here! Absolutely delicious. The Jalapeno Cheese sauce had a mild kick to it and we added it to our fondue bites. Yum Yum! Service was excellent and really good looking. No room for desert.

Let me tell you something.... if you want delicious dinner with a gorgeous view on the marina, this is it. I got the blackened salmon SPECIAL, not the regular blackened salmon, the SPECIAL. Its got the most delicious lemon sauce on it and is stuffed with crab. The salmon just pulls apart and melts like butter in your mouth. Its served with the most delicious risotto and broccollini kissed with salt. So you can really taste the flavor of the veggie. The shrimp and crab fondue is TO DIE FOR. It comes with little crostinis, which are basically just toasted mini slices of bread. The flavor of the crostinis are perfect. My husband got the Wagyu burger. The ground the meat in house, so get it medium, medium well MAX. It was so incredibly juicy. You could really taste the freshness of the beef. The fries that came with it have so much flavor without a ton of salt. It's almost as if you could taste exactly how the potato came to be the fries on the plate, if that makes sense. You can taste the story. You can taste the potato. Eating these will change the way you view fries at other locations, so beware for a flavor explosion. The passion fruit margarita comes with a tajin seasoning around the lining of the cup, which makes a divine combination with the passion fruit. This is not a drink you want to sip on. As it waters down, the flavor completely disappears. So drink it at a decent pace. Great reviews on the old fashion my husband got. We chose the buffalo trace, and it was very smooth. So just make sure you choose a smooth whiskey to pair. The view was incredible, the service was unmatched. Parking is difficult when its busy, so if youre going, try and get there before the busy hours (lunch and dinner rushes typically happen at noon and 6pm).

I had such a lovely experience today. The crab stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon was amazing. I wanted something fruity and sparkling to drink and the server(I'm really annoyed I forgot his name) made me a strawberry lemonade and added sprite to it to make it fizzy. It was perfect. Great atmosphere and great food and awesome service makes this experience a 10 out of 10!

This is my second time & it was as good as the first! You have to try the crab & shrimp fondue! It’s the best ever! Whole reason why I came back! The restaurant is perfectly situated on the water both times I sat outside for the water. The service is excellent & so is the food & drinks! I had the passion margarita. We also had the free bread both of course & the coconut macadamia shrimp. Everything was great! I highly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered the classic brig fish tacos, the oysters, and the crab stuffed tiger shrimp. Everything was super tasty. The shrimp came with a white sauce that had a little kick from the jalapeños, not too spicy, just right. It was served with mashed potatoes and some veggies. I asked for it without bacon, and honestly, I really loved the dish. The fish tacos were also really good, the coleslaw added a nice crunch and flavor. We were there celebrating a birthday. I mentioned it when I booked the table, and at the end of the meal, they brought out a complimentary ice peanut cake, which was super sweet. The service was great, really attentive and friendly. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely come back.

After a long day, I stopped in and ordered a Jameson on the rocks, and it was exactly what I needed—perfectly poured and incredibly smooth. I followed it with oysters on the half shell, which were fresh, satisfying, and definitely hit the spot. For my main bites, I tried the lobster tempura tacos along with a side of green beans and truffle fries. The tacos looked promising but didn’t deliver much flavor, and the green beans were pretty bland. The truffle fries, though, were the standout—crispy, aromatic, and absolutely delicious. Overall, a mixed experience, but the drink, oysters, and truffle fries made the visit worthwhile.

You absolutely cannot beat the views and atmosphere at this venue. The staff matches the experience with skill, charm, wit, and excellent local knowledge. Thoughtful architectural features help keep noise levels down, allowing for normal conversation at the table. The bar is enormous, making it a great option if you’re just stopping in for a quick bite. The outdoor seating is incredible, though it can be a bit chilly in the winter. The food is generally above average for the area, albeit somewhat pricey—but you’re paying for the view and the great service. In the winter bring a jacket and sit outside. It will be less crowded outside and quite beautiful.

The Waygu burger was delicious! 😋 The lobster 🦞 tails were a little tough, I think they over cooked them. The service was a little slow 🐌. I think they are under staffed. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful 🙂 other than the slow start. You should never have to ask for a waiter. I would return here, maybe during a less busy time.

Really nice experience at the Brigantine , we were in town visiting friends and we had a nice group for dinner. Even with a party of about 15 there was no problem getting accommodations. The seating was spacious and comfortable. The service was very good , our server was attentive and on point. Once we ordered our food came out fast, I'm not sure how but everything was quick and cooked to order perfectly. We all had various drinks, and dessert at the end and really not one complaint. If you're in town and looking for a nice waterside dinning experience out the Brigantine on your list.
