Opinions de Corvette Diner San Diego
This place is SO fun, but the food is just OK. I came with another mom and our kids. The kids had a blast. They loved the arcade and enjoyed their food. The moms appreciated the quick bar service that allowed us to sip out proseccos while the kids played video games. We came on a Saturday night and it was crowded! At first they told us a table would take 1 hour and 20 minutes, but in about 15 minutes we had our table. Basically, if you are a small group, 4-6 people, you can get a table quickly. Harvey was our waiter, he was great.
Such an amazing place with amazing staff. I took my grandma and she absolutely loved it. Our waiter and Andy the balloon guy were out of this world. The food was amazing too and some of the best fries I’ve had. A 11/10 dining experience.
Great burger and malt! Loved the vibe. Took my grandson. Age 3. He was entertained the whole time with the music and the wait staff. Game room even offered games with tickets so he was able to walk away a winner!
This was our very 1st time to Covette Diner. We really enjoyed the experience. We arrived on a rainy day. There was still a 15 min wait. It was freezing and they left the doors WIDE open.... rain, wind and a guests all came in. We were greeted immediately, and when she mentioned a wait we went straight to the arcade room to the left of the restaurant attached to the building. The kids loved it and it made the wait go by so quickly. They had everything, skiball, basketball, pinball, and honestly every great arcade game they have at D&B. It isn't a huge area but there is plenty to choose from. We always love collecting tickets for Prizes, which were very decently priced. The kids all got something and I think I only spent $20. We we're text that our table was ready and didn't get sat in the main Diner area but to the left in a Retro glow in the dark space, decked out in Black lights and neon paintings.... think Groovy Era. Our waitress was wonderful, we got 1st timer stickers and paper Diner hats that the kids were so excited to wear! They have a great menu. So much to choose from. Plenty of Shakes and Malts, Ice creams and dessert options. The kids ordered from the kids menu, which we also ordered kids menu Shakes from. We had the Pesto Chicken sandwich which was huge. Tasty and not dry. I had the Pastrami Burger, I've had better(pastrami), but it was a great Diner Burger still. I did upgrade to the sweet potato fries Option and was disappointed in the temperature. They came out luke warm. What a disappointment as the kids fries were piping HOT. So I mentioned to the server, she was so sweet to mention she'd get me regular Fries instead and remove the upcharge for the SweetP fries. The new basket of fries were Hot as hell. So that was perfect. We ate mostly everything boxed up what we couldn't finish. So the portions were great. During dinner, a song came on and the Shake/Dessert area came to life. Dancing and Singing, it was a great commotion. The kids got up to watch and they LOVED IT. Unfortunately we were in the side room so we're not able to see it without getting up. It's so busy there. Lots of Celebrations, Singing HBD and just a fun environment. Would we go back, definitely. But definitely a destination Diner that didn't disappoint. Although the server never removed the SweetP fries, She was busy, and I didnt want to complain about it. We thought the price was great for a Mom out with her kids. Check them out!
My husband and I celebrated his birthday by enjoying a late lunch at this fun restaurant! I ordered the chicken parmesan dinner and my husband ordered the meatloaf dinner. The food was very good; the chicken parmesan was delicious, and I had leftovers to take home as well! The restaurant is decorated in a '50s style, complete with a DJ, a dance break performed by the waitresses, and fun decorated rooms, complete with an arcade in the back! Our server, Gloria, was fabulous and she had us cracking up. She brought out a scoop of ice cream with a candle in it and the waiters and waitresses sang a birthday song for my husband which was fun! We thought the prices were normal for the meals we received. If you are in the San Diego area, we highly recommend checking out Corvette diner, If nothing else just for the ambiance!
Loved this place! The cool 50’s Vibe. Good food. Entertainment while you eat! And a huge game area in the back. Cauliflower appetizer is the Bomb‼️
We had the most amazing time at the Corvette diner. The entertainment, vibe service and atmosphere were amazing! I ordered the peanut butter banana chocolate shake, and it was so delicious! I highly recommend it. The food was good, but nothing super spectacular. I can’t complain though, we definitely had an amazing time. I highly recommend it.
We went last month for my daughter’s birthday and they made her feel so special! Our server was soo kind! She drew on our daughter’s hat to make it special for her bday. I’ll add a picture. The food was pretty good over all but the meat on the burger did need a little more flavor. Overall, a great first experience. We will definitely be going back!
First time here & and I'm willing to go back .This place has your go-to food, which can't go wrong, but the flavor is on point & and tastes way better than your usual dinner food. We had to try a few different items from the menu. Fried pickles, not a fan of the spears, but stick had a lot of flavor. Onion ring were good. Philly cheese steak sandwich was really good & a decent size on portion. The pastrami sandwich never had a sandwich like corvette dinner & it had so much flavor & tasted like the meat was freshly cut from a deli . Last but not the lest the atmosphere was nice to sit & enjoy a good meal with some live music playing a & few birthdays shout out going on . Can't go wrong coming to this dinner.
If you don't like loud places this place isn't for you. I love coming here, the spiked milkshakes are a treat and the waitresses are so funny and silly. I love the atmosphere and the aesthetics. I love the dinosaur nugget appetizers, basically buffalo wings, but with a cooler name. Definitely stop by here if you're into the 50's or pinup stuff. They also got an arcade in the back.
We really enjoyed our lunch here. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was super nice. The theming is really well done and we liked the music they were playing. It is super loud and tons of kids for sure due to the large arcade they have. We had the macho nacho burger and the chili cheez burger. Both were good and a really nice size. The nacho burger definitely looked better than the chili one since it had more stuff in it. Even though the chili by itself was pretty good I don't think it worked in the burger. I wouldn't order that again plus it was super messy to eat. They have Pepsi products instead of Coke which was nice. For dessert we tried the hot fudge sundae which was really good. The whipped cream and the fudge were the best part. Would definitely go back to try other dishes since the service and atmosphere were so good!
I’ve been here a few times over the years, but this visit was special because I was taking my 19 month old granddaughter for the first time, who loves to sing and dance. It was a Thursday night, beginning of October and we got right in. The manager was working the hostess stand, which speaks volumes about the business. Our waitress Gloria was amazing, you can tell she loves her job and is having a blast. She made the experience exactly what I was looking for, a break from busy life and a happy and fun time. The prices were good as well and the food was all delicious. As a business woman, I loved seeing the manager also carrying a bin full of dirty dishes, he was helping his team and when you have a great manager, it’s easy to love your job and your coworkers. My granddaughter had fun as well, she was in awe! I’ll be back with her again for sure, thank you!
A fun throwback to the 50s. The atmosphere is well done and the staff are great. Very family friendly. The staff perform an entire birthday song and dance for people celebrating. They're known for their shakes. There was a lot of food options and everyone in my group liked what they ordered. Reasonable prices too. A nice photographer also takes your photo, you get a little keepsake photo and also have the option to buy prints. Hope to go back sometime.
One of our top ten places to take friends/ family that come to visit us. * Prices, really reasonable for the amount of food you get. * The food, all of us try something new each time and none of us have disliked or have been disappointed. * If you like milkshakes, here’s your place. Let’s not forget the giant cotton candy plate. * Service, atmosphere is on point.. ( only thing is if your looking for a quiet place to eat, then this isn’t the place for you. ) Otherwise, 50’s music and they really put on a show.
Had a great time fun place to eat make sure you get the buffalo chicken tots for an appetizer it is a large plate. We had 4 people sharing and still were able to finish it all. They take family photos there they will give you a free one but if you want to buy one it was 20 dollars for one photo 30 for two. I thought that was a little steep for an 8x10 picture. The milk shakes are amazing they come in a large glass and even bring the extra in a metal cup which was half the milk shake in the glass so you had plenty. They have a live DJ there spinning the oldies to give you feel of the atmosphere. I great place I would recommend and will go again
Awesome food but even better atmosphere that we did not expect! The wait staff is all very excited to be there and this is inspiring. They are loud, quick, and snappy just how you’d expect a diner to be in the 50’s. There’s a live DJ orchestrating line dances and birthday celebrations. Their milkshakes had a smooth finish and they had tons of flavors. Burgers were big and juicy and their pasta was very homey. Will definitely come again in the future for a birthday cotton candy celebration!
Great place, great atmosphere, very entertaining and food is good. Love the 50s vibe and decor. Their dj does shout outs and requests. Overall great experience. We will be back.
Head over heels at this place! I wish I had taken more pictures, but you just need to stop by for yourself. I promise it'll be worth it. If you are a penny collector, make sure you take your quarters (I missed my chance 😔). Everything is amazing about this diner. Service, food, the atmosphere, and even the bathrooms are nice. From the looks of it this is the place to stop for your birthday. There's an arcade for some fun before or after eating.
Love this place. Have been coming here since I was a kid & this is somewhere I always bring friends or family from out of town. It’s decorated super fun and like 60’s style. The servers do a little dance and are all in character. The food is good. Music is fun & you can even request songs. Milkshakes are super good too. Would recommend to everyone!
Never disappointed. This place is generational, for every age! Wait staff is great & Very entertaining. Prices were an average night in a place that has many restraunts to choose from. A live DJ plays 50s, 60s, motown hits. A great time!
"Big Biff" was an awesome service. He took great care of us. Our meatloaves, salads, and dessert were plentiful and tasty. If we lived here we would make this diner a regular thing
We visited the Corvette Diner last night, and wow, it was a party! 🎈 With a group of nine, we were thrilled to be let in immediately without any wait. The staff was amazing and super accommodating to our large party, making it the perfect place for our little nieces to run wild. When we accidentally spilled a drink, they handled it like pros and were incredibly nice about it! 😊 Next up, the milkshakes! 🍦 We ordered a wide array, and our absolute favorite was the peanut butter Oreo milkshake. We even got to combine two shakes, and let me tell you, it was delicious! 10 out of 10 would recommend! Now, onto the burgers! 🍔 We tried everything from the classic original burger (which was fantastic!) to the Breakfast at Tiffany’s burger served with waffle fries—so yummy! The Macho Nacho Burger was simply amazing, and we also sampled a variety of different sandwiches. One of the highlights was the BLAST sandwich (Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, Swiss, Tomato)—it was REALLY GOOD! 😍 The atmosphere was lively, and we loved that we could request our favorite silly 50s songs from the DJ! 🎶 We even introduced him to some tunes he hadn’t heard before. If you're there, make sure to request “Seven Little Girls Sitting in the Backseat” by Paul Evans—it’s guaranteed to make everyone smile! 😄 Overall, we had a fantastic time at the Corvette Diner. It was a fun cultural experience for the family. I highly recommend it—10 out of 10! 🌟
This place was fantastic! The atmosphere was so fun, lively, all the decor is awesome. Just know, you have to expect a lot of noise and excitement at this place, it is certainly not a chill spot after a long day, ha. The whole point is to entertain and be a really cool experience. They seriously go all out with their energy at this restaurant, I really give it to the servers that are putting in all that energy and effort to make it a unique and fun experience. The menu has so many selections, the shakes are so cool, and the food was PHENOMENAL. I got the garden veggie sandwich and my boyfriend got the Kookie burger. We loved it. Our server Fletcher was truly the best, he got so into his character and was so funny. Andy the balloon guy is also awesome. Both deserve raises!!
We finally got to try this place and it was so good! My Oreo milkshake was to die for! The service was great and I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND the arcade in the back!! Mon-fri look for Ceda in the arcade!! She was so wonderful and we had a blast!! Can’t wait to come back and play some more! Thanks Ceda we will be coming back to see you again!! 🤗
We stopped by while on vacation in San Diego & we loved this spot. The retro design & décor of the restaurant side is a lot of fun, and there is so much to look at. We really liked the groovy 70's black light area we were seated for lunch. The menus are huge! There are a lot of options to select from. We all enjoyed the food & drinks we ordered. The prices were fair & the portions were large. We didn't get to try the desserts as we were stuffed after our meal. The staff sing & dance during certain songs and they sang happy birthday to several people so there is plenty of entertainment while you eat. The other half of the building has a ton of arcade games & prize area. Along the hallway leading to the arcade area you'll find a old school phone booth, some coin tattoo & trinket machines plus a photo booth. This spot is a lot of fun, especially for kids. I am sure we will be back again the next time we visit San Diego.
Visited for a second time to celebrate my daughter’s 10th birthday and the staff was amazing, loved their upbeat energy very friendly. We arrived as soon as they opened and we played in the arcade as we waited for our order. Its a very nice place to entertain with family, big arcade with lots of different games to choose from. We all had a great time and food was delicious great big portions, food is all well balanced and well cooked. I also liked the way all the food was taken out at the same time so we can all enjoy our meal together. My favorite part was the staff coming out to sing my daughter a happy birthday with a chocolate sundae I was very happy with our visit.
A great place to take the whole family! Arcade, neon lights, oldies music, fantastic ice cream and great service. They have an old corvette right inside the door and the place is decorated just perfectly. A popular space but wait times aren’t too bad. We spent about 150 bucks for 6 people. Huge cotton candy plate for dessert. Fun balloon artist came to the table after we finished food working for tips and creating great balloons!
Love love love! Very decorative place, nice music, food, desserts, games (arcade for kids), and the staff is also very friendly. I believe when it is someone’s birthday the whole crew does a whole dance because that’s what I suddenly experienced which I thought was really neat and different! This diner is known for their burgers which I do agree are yummy. If you like a bit of spice I recommend “Dante’s Inferno” burger and you are able to substitute the side of regular fries for either a garden or Cesar side salad. If not you do have the other option, with a surcharge of 2.99? I believe of waffle fries or seasoned fries. I highly also recommend the chili! It is truly amazingly delicious (if you like chili or course) this one will not disappoint! The nachos are also worth giving a try! I ordered with chicken. Lastly, for dessert my ultimate favorites so far is the Strawberry and Kahlua Chocolate Shake! Towards the back of the menu they have spiked shakes. The strawberry shake is just plain strawberry but it’s really good because it’s made with real strawberries so the taste is great.
This is an amazingly fun restaurant with such entertaining staff. The 50s diner ambience is really fun combined with the vintage TV shows and furniture. The food was good-solid diner quality. The milkshakes were by far the best thing we had. They come so decorated and an extra cup with the excess milkshake…its a full meal itself. Come for the fun times, stay for standard diner food and amazing milkshakes.
This place is so fun! Very touristy, very showy, very old school hospitality. The look of pure joy on the kid's face at the table across from mine made the spectacle absolutely worth it. Service staff was dynamic and stellar. Food portions are huge! Loved seeing all the Corvettes outside in the parking lot too!
Great over the top 1950s themed restaurant. Got the Rory burger w/ bacon, lettuce, tomato, and peanut butter! It was very good. Prices are a bit steep and there is a 5% inflation surcharge applied to your bill. Update: Got the Meatloaf plate and the Chicken Polka Pasta plate. Both were very good. The side salads were also very good.
So fun! Get a big shake - they are awesome! Fun, happy atmosphere. The servers do a dance every so often which is great entertainment. They go all out on celebrating birthdays. We came for just plain dinner but had an awesome time just being there. The food was good. Would absolutely come back. They have a gluten free menu, which I really appreciate! The GF bun was good and the sweet potato fries were too. They really pay attention to gluten specifics, instead of not being sure like so many other places. Thank you!!
How fun? Allot of fun! Great for families with children. Allot of food and pretty good. French fries, waffle fries and my favorite, tater tots. The atmosphere and servers take one back to 50's diner. Buddy was a delight. (Probably not real name, but good person) We had Reuben sandwich, Pastrami sandwich, Club sandwich and Texas style Chicken Fried Steak. All the food was good. Shakes and Malts, like the ole' days.
We come here every year while on vacation. Yesterday we did it again and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is great. Just a huge party with singing, dancing, and music. It is loud in there so if not looking for that atmosphere find a quieter place perhaps. The food has always been solid. They do what they do really well. Be prepared for craziness to erupt at any time. There is a live DJ and servers are dressed in 50’s attire. There is also a fun arcade attached which can be a fun after dinner thing, or while you wait to sit, or just skipped entirely. We actually skipped it this time around but in the past we have had some fun times in there. If you love being silly, laughing, and just enjoying yourself you have found the right spot. Oh and definitely get a shake. Like definitely.
We just bumped into this place while out looking around and ended up having the best time! So many things to look at! Nostalgia at its best! There was even a DJ playing retro tunes. We had grilled chicken burgers, fries and onion rings and they were yummy. Our sever, Gloria, was energetic and efficient. We were treated to a song and dance put on by the servers. We sat in the Groovy room but took a good look around at everything. Definitely recommend!
This is one of those places that just over the top fun. The servers are all dancing singing yelling and having fun. The place is large and full of all sorts of interesting things to look at. There's a really fun area for just doing video machines and all that kind of stuff. We all enjoyed our food. Particularly, the milkshakes were amazing.
From my son, who insisted that we do a 5 star review. He loved it! “I love that everything is so festive and fun. The people are so nice. The food is amazing and everything in general the seating and everything is just so good. I would literally come here every single day if I had the chance.”
The Corvette diner is a high energy, fun, 50s, 60s style restaurant! We came in the afternoon on a Tuesday and parking was free and not difficult to find. We mostly ordered burgers, which were good! The milkshakes were definitely my favorite part of the meal. They were delicious and even had a little refill cup! This place is very upbeat and everyone working there is very excited! Something’s to know: There is a 20% gratuity automatically added to the bill as well as a 5% up charge. Pictures include the Dante’s inferno burger, and the Brenda burger.
This place was perfect. Very cool retro esthetics with music to match. They were eager to host our party of 16 people. We were seated immediately, served quickly, and were well taken care of by our waitress. The waitress ensured that our experience was fun and enjoyable. Menu was also very fun making me wish I could have ordered 1 of everything. If you have a loved one Graduating from MCRD I'd recommend heading here as soon as they are dismissed.
Really cool 50's atmosphere. Corvette part of the atmosphere. Great service. Food good. I had the California Dream which was a great chicken sandwich with guacamole, green chilis; lettuce; tomato and onion. My daughter had the blast sandwich and her boyfriend had the DeeDee Burger with a root beer shake. The blast was bacon lettuce avocado Swiss cheese and turkey. I am originally from San Diego and this restaurant use to be in Central San Diego. This new location has more parking but I miss the coziness of the old location .We came to San Diego for a couple days to visit family and eat at some favorite restaurants.
What's not to love? Monty our server was fantastic and funny. He was great with my hungry family by making us all laugh. In the arcade, Chris was awesome! He was so cool with the littles, showing patience and happiness to all the kids. This place was tons of fun, and comes highly recommended.
This diner is now one of my favorite places on Earth; definitely my favorite restaurant! As soon as you walk in, you experience the coolest sight of neon lights, antique metal signs, classic cars, and that old diner feel. There is oldies music playing and the servers are wearing diner clothes how they used to. Our server was Sherry and she was so awesome! Sherry really gets into character to create an experience different than any other server. She is so funny and nice (I'm sure all the servers are)! My wife and I ordered 2 sodas and 2 "KOOKIE" burgers. The food was delicious and in big proportions! The cups were a great size too! We had to take the rest of our food to go because we got full. After we ate, we went into the huge arcade they have and we played games! Some of the games are broken, but overall we still had such a blast and won prizes! The arcade is definitely fun for kids and adults. I cannot wait to come back! 100/10 experience!

Restaurant is near Entrance/Exit of Liberty Station. Good fun place for kids. Parking is relatively easy. Food is decent but service could have been better. We got there early dinner on a Tuesday but took them a while to get orders. After several years, we came back for late lunch on Saturday 2pm. The wait was only about 30min so we had our kids play in the arcade while waiting.
It is loud in here! Like, you have to yell to hear people in your party loud. Granted, it is with upbeat oldies music, and the dj takes requests, which is neat. The food is decent. Nothing to write home about, but definitely better than fast foods. The down side to the burger was the bun, just plain. The patty itself was good quality. At one point during our meal, all the servers stopped and did a dance together. That was entertaining.
A Nostalgic Adventure at Corvette Diner I'm excited to share my perspective on this iconic diner and game room at Liberty Station. Arrival and Waiting Experience: To avoid the weekend rush, we make it a point to arrive early. The popularity of Corvette Diner means it gets busy quickly, and while they don't take reservations, the wait times are generally manageable, averaging around 20 minutes. The 90-minute dining limit is clearly communicated, and most patrons adhere to it, ensuring a smooth turnover. Parking: If you're arriving after noon, parking can be a challenge, but we've found a sweet spot between the Market and the diner when exploring Liberty Station. Ambiance and Decor: Corvette Diner excels in creating a vibrant atmosphere with cool signs, posters, a shake stand, a bar, and even a DJ booth. The unique interior, featuring a full-sized Corvette at the entrance, immediately sets the tone for a nostalgic experience. The attention to detail in the decor enhances the overall ambiance, making it clear that this is not just a meal but an event. Customer Service: The service is commendable, even if the waitresses are very busy. Anticipating a 10-15 minute interval between interactions, I make sure to get everything I need at once. Despite the hustle, the staff is consistently friendly and helpful, contributing positively to the overall experience. Dining Experience: The menu primarily consists of classic diner fare, from chili burgers to sandwiches and fries. While the food doesn't reach culinary heights, it complements the nostalgic environment. I usually get a burger or sandwich, which are priced well. Game Room: The inclusion of a game room adds a great dimension to the diner. Playing games while waiting for food or a table elevates the overall experience, making it more than just a meal. Combined with the DJ, occasional waitress dances, and nostalgic decor, Corvette Diner truly feels like an entertaining event. In conclusion, Corvette Diner remains a favorite for its nostalgic ambiance, friendly staff, and the added fun of the game room. While the food is decent but not exceptional, the overall experience makes it a worthwhile destination for those seeking more than just a meal. We'll undoubtedly continue our tradition of returning to this lively spot.
This was our first visit. The food was great. Our server recommended the meatloaf which was probably the best I've ever had. Cool old school diner feel throughout. Nice smallish arcade, soda fountain and although we didn't indulge, the desserts looked amazing. The only thing we didn't like was the noise, boy is it loud. We would definitely return but during lunch when there's probably less screaming kids running around. I have a saying, "nothing will ruin a good time faster than kids." 😂
Years ago, the Corvette Diner was in Hillcrest. Fun place with a great atmosphere and food. Finally, we are able to visit the new location in Liberty Station. The atmosphere is still fun, vibrant, and nostalgic. Beautiful old Corvette sitting inside the entrance. Booths and tables are available for seating. Arcade for gaming. They still make their soda drinks from scratch. Staff were warm and friendly. Our waitress was Gladys. Very helpful and friendly. She made sure we had everything we needed. Started with the fried dill pickle spears. Definitely worth it. Lightly battered and crispy. Ordered The Big Cheez, Rockin Reuben, Peggy Sue's Pastrami, and the Kookie burger. Wife and I split the Reuben and Pastrami Have to say the Pastrami was better because of the sauerkraut. Tater tots were the only disappointment. Luke warm and not crispy. Overall still a great place to come with friends amd family.
Great atmosphere but the food was lacking. This is a must see food destination in San Diego I highly suggest it! The Philly cheesesteak was a complete letdown I couldn’t force myself to finish it. Also, you only get three onion rings? They actually are hard to eat because they’re so big they need to be smaller. The ice cream desserts are always good, and the shrimp platter was surprisingly delicious.
What a cool experience to have in San Diego. Everyone here is super friendly and gets into the Diner character. There is also an Arcade and on Saturday night they had a Live DJ. The food on the other hand is good. Not great or epic. Especially for the price of $100 for a family of 6 (4 kids 2 Adults). I was expecting so much more. That said it was definitely a treat to come to such a legendary place. God Bless!!
The Corvette Diner has such a great and immersive atmosphere. The food was good and reasonably priced though leaning toward the more pricey side. The staff were friendly enough. The mandatory tipping was unacceptable. Would we come back? Perhaps, though our visit to the Diner was a good solid reminder of why we should promptly vacate the state.
We had a blast at Corvette Diner! It is such a fun, high-energy spot that’s perfect for a lively meal. Beyond the dining area, the arcade was a huge hit and kept the entertainment going throughout our visit. The staff really makes the experience here—they have a great way of doing things and their energy is infectious. It’s clear they enjoy making sure everyone has a good time. As for the food, the menu has some really creative choices. We tried a variety of dishes and everything was delicious:
Very lively and loud! Good for kids! There was No wait on the Saturday we went around 12:30pm. They give you hats to wear. It’s very decorated inside and everywhere you look there’s something cool to see. Food came out in 20-25 minutes. Had our entrees to go and they packed it to go. We ordered a platter and it could feed 6-8 people so we were full from that. Sodas can be customized. Kid friendly place. They had a live DJ playing music. I believe you can request songs to the DJ. The staff also get up and do a little dance; some of the kids also went up with the staff. Located in liberty public market. Once you enter you need to go around and there’s parking on the sides. Reconvene just finding parking and walking You can also walk the food off at liberty public market after
A loud, fun, 50s retro party! The dancing, singing wait staff throw bubblegum and straws at you in this high-energy, family-friendly diner. The food is classic American comfort (big burgers and huge milkshakes). Not a quiet date spot, but pure chaotic joy and great for kids. Turn your cell phone off and embrace the nostalgia.
We had a couple of burger. Both were good. All of the food is diner inspired food with a little extra twist. We weren’t able to get a dessert because we were full but I would go back so maybe next time. We arrived before 5 and it was pretty calm but by 5:30 it was getting busy and loud. Not someplace to have a quiet meal. More of a place to have fun and you definitely don’t have to worry about keeping your kids quiet. The arcade area looked like it should keep everybody occupied while waiting for food. Good place to take a large group as well. I saw some people getting seated with 10 or more.
A Taste of Nostalgia a.... Classic "Diner concept good for all ages. Nostalgic, vibrant & definitely fun. The menu delivers exactly what you expect: solid, reliable diner food. While the thick milkshakes looked absolutely divine & terribly tempting we all passed The base prices are decent, making it an affordable casual spot. However, diners should be aware of a few items on the final bill. Our large group (four adults, a baby, and a toddler) triggered an automatic 20% gratuity. Separately, there is also an optional 5% supplemental charge added to the bill, which you can ask to have removed if you note it with your server. Be sure to factor both into your budget for larger parties. Finally, a note on the ambiance: while the vibe is great, the music is quite loud (at times). If you are dining with anyone who processes sensory information differently, be mindful that the noise level could be overwhelming. It's a lively atmosphere, but the volume is something to consider before visiting.
This restaurant is really difficult to rate. The place is so cute!! They have great photo opps and you just feel like you traveled in time. They have an insanely extensive menu, so many options, it was a little overwhelming. Servers are really nice and friendly! They dance from time to time and they look like they’re having fun! The milkshakes are absolutely delicious!!! The downside for me was the food, is really good comfort food, but not the best quality and very pricey!!!! The arcade looks like a lot of fun! We didn’t try it since it was very crowded.

The Corvette Diner is definitely a fun place to visit, especially for families. The atmosphere is impressive and really well done – vibrant, nostalgic, and full of character. There are several themed rooms and even a large arcade area for kids, which makes it a great spot for a casual outing. The staff is friendly, though not particularly attentive. You might need to flag someone down if you need anything. As for the food, it’s just average – nothing bad, but also nothing to get excited about. All in all, it’s a Great place for the experience and the decor, but don’t go in expecting standout food or top-tier service.
4/3/25 Dinner @6 PM We went down memory lane to see Corvette Diner in Liberty Station. The last time my friend went there, it was in Hillcrest! There was a DJ playing a range of music from the 50-80s way too loud. Does it have to be that loud? It was hard to have a conversation and when the waitress came to take our order we had to repeat ourselves. They have a black light room, an arcade, and lots of parking out back. There was a short wait. My friends are vegetarian and the only burger option was a bean burger. Really? You are known for your burgers and you don't have other options? They ended up having a Cesar salad, Tater Tots, and Mac and cheese. It would be great if they listed more options. I had the cheeseburger and Tater Tots. The burger was $18 plus additional $2.95 for tots *and* a surcharge of 5% stated on the sign at the front door. I think we should just skip that little sign and raise the food prices so there isn't a surprise. The hamburger bun was stale, some of the tots were fresh and some were not. The ranch dressing was good. I ended up giving it away. The waitress wore a pink skirt, threw straws on our table like old times, but they didn't throw any Bazuka gum like they used to. They sang happy birthday songs and danced with kids and folks. Clean bathroom and safe parking lot.
I recently visited Corvette diner and must say that I found it to be a pretty decent experience overall. The ambience and decor of the restaurant were definitely one of the highlights - the vintage cars and retro theme made for a fun and unique dining experience. But what really sets Corvette diner apart is their theme park for kids. My little ones had a blast running around and playing on all the different rides and games. It's a great place to bring the whole family, and the kids will definitely have a fun time. As for the food and drink options, I would say they were pretty average. Nothing particularly stood out to me in terms of taste or presentation. However, the portions were generous and the prices were reasonable, so no real complaints there. Overall, I would recommend giving Corvette diner a try if you're looking for a fun and family-friendly restaurant with a unique ambience. Just don't go expecting gourmet cuisine.
Music is pretty loud. Food is a bit over priced for what you get. Dont order the chicken tenders, almost $13 for 2 chicken tenders and fries. Our waitress said it was chicken nuggets from the kids menu and we got 2 chicken tenders. The lady taking pics just be aware she will come back and sell you the pics. We thought it was like a dynamic the restaurant offered for their guest and maybe put them on social media but the lady came back and try selling us the pics, you feel bad telling her no. So we ended up paying over $100 for a lunch of 2 adults and 1 kid.
Went to have lunch customer service attentive and friendly. Food is good and also always good music. Kids love the arcade. If you want the diner experience this is the place to go. Also be aware they add 18% gratuity every time I have been there. Chili Cheez Waffle Fries-criss cross fries topped with our famous sting ray chili, melted cheddar cheese & green onions Kookie-grilled onions, Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, mayo & pickles Boneless Dinosaur Wings-boneless breaded chicken strips tossed in our hot wing sauce with celery & carrot sticks, house-made blue cheese dip on the side B.L.A.S.T.-bacon, lettuce, guacamole, swiss, turkey, tomato & mayo on toasted sourdough
The expierence was very unique overall. My wife and I both got burgers that were extremely good! The macho nacho burger is amazing! Unfortonately the kids spagetti and meatballs had hardly any sauce which we had to ask more of. The entire staff did a whole dance ruitine to a song, a person will come around doing baloon animals for donations. A large arcade to keep the family going all night! Our service unfortunatelly did not match the quality of our food. We sat at the table for 10 minutes before someone asked if our drink orders had been taken. Extra charges to each meal were not disclosed, I would prefer the waiter or waitress to make sure the customer knows the extra charges that will be applied if certain items are added to a meal( like tator tots versus fries, extra 2.49). After our meal and drink orders were taken, our food arrived before our drinks and without and utencils. When we asked for utencils, we were given only one set versus a set for the entire table. Overall, i hope our next visit will have service to match the $108 we paid for the food.
Fun but too loud. Sensory overload for my kids. Food was just ok. Staff was great and a lot of fun. Turn the music down just two notches would make a big difference.
This place is certainly not for me, but it may be for you! I didn’t particularly love my experience here… But it was NO FAULT of the staff, from the host stand, to our server; all staff were friendly, accommodating and enthusiastic. This would be an excellent place to bring children, or a place to bring a friend from another country to give them the culture shock of a lifetime. Unabashedly “American” vibes inside. This restaurant is a mere novelty, It’s gimmicky. Each section is clad with (deliberately) obnoxious decor, and there is an omnipresent noisy clamor that makes it hard to hold a conversation with anyone. Birthdays get announced restaurant-wide via loud speaker, somebody is making balloon animals, staff line up and perform a musical number… all at once. There is never a dull moment for better or for worse. I think this restaurant is very well managed for how chaotic it is, I came during prime time on a Saturday night and service went off without a hitch. The food is not exceptional. It’s fun food. Far from gourmet. My burger was passable. Lots of fried foods, lots of American standard fare. I guess that could be quite novel to someone visiting but, ehhhhhh, I digress. The only thing I truly loved food and bevs wise was this boozy milkshake they have, it’s essentially just a vanilla milkshake with a shot of bourbon in it. But I mean, that’s just as awesome as it sounds. That was pretty great yeah. I certainly am in no rush to return here, but if you have children, or your distant cousins from Europe are visiting, Sure. Why not.
Food was ok. Nothing special. Service was a little slow because it was so busy. But the music was soooooo loud. So loud that you couldn't erally have a conversation. It was a fun place though. Oh. They will add 5% on all checks to help offset rising costs. They also add 20% on checks for party of 6 or more. By the way, they take pictures for you but you do have to pay for it at the end of your meal. This place is all about making money for themselves.
Excited to try this diner we went for lunch on New Year’s Day. The staff were friendly and attentive. Excellent service. The diner was definitely busy and we had about a 20 minute wait for a table. The food was average and honestly, kind of a let down with all the great reviews. I had a chicken cordon bleu sandwich and it was above average. The rest of my party had the Rubin, and chicken and waffles and those were said to be average. Onion ring appetizer was just okay. The chocolate milkshake was delicious. Atmosphere is fun and the game room looked like a lot of fun although we didn’t play.
I haven't been in a few years. the food has gone downhill. prices are too high given the quality. the waitress enchanted our granddaughter. probably not going back.

We went there to celebrate our 1 year old baby first birthday. It was a long wait, I wish they asked us where we wanted to be seated because I wanted to be in the dark room with fluorescent lights. We didn't get little hats, I asked for them; the balloon guy passed us, he basically ignored us and my baby had a sticker that it was his birthday, I really did not like that. My burger did not have any seasoning (literally none, I suppose they forgot), my husband's did and my baby's spaghetti had way too many spices. Our milkshakes were fine, I dislike the big paper straws though. Manager was very friendly and our waitress Wanda wasn't as attentive as I would've liked but she did bring a little sundae and sang "Happy Birthday" to our child and I did appreciate it. I would unfortunately not be back.
Disappointed with our visit to Corvett Diner today, We took our 4 year old granddaughter and her 2 year old sister for her birthday and did not enjoy the visit. There was no baloon percson making baloons. The food was not great. The kids small hamburgers did.not seem fresh , my regular hamburger was all falling apart when i took a bite. The roast beef sandwich was ok. Our server was nice but we did not see her much . Took a while to finally get 2 girls to sing happy birthday to our baby. We have visited Corvet Diner befiore years ago and it was so much fun. Just not the same and epensive
The vibe of this place is everywhere but still really cool . The waitress was sweet but he food being a letdown was an understatement. I got the kookie burger subbed the beef for chicken and I was just astounded by how a menus item with so many topping could be so flavorless . The chicken was dry and super bland the grilled onions were cut super thick and not cooked all the way so it still had that bitter taste and was super crunchy which wouldn’t be a problem if I wasn’t expecting them sautéed like I had asked . Again the waitress was so sweet but then we had also gotten the Tiffany burger but as soon as it got to the table it was already cold :( and not to mention again the beef was bland and the topping with it was subpar . It was our fault for not sending it back we didn’t want to bother the waitress so that is on us but it shouldn’t be out cold that quick. I understand it’s busy so not everything will be perfect but there just wasn’t anything we enjoyed about our meal . I would rate it higher if the food wasn’t terrible but that was the reason we were there at the end of the day.
Service and atmosphere was great . The food prices and quantity was poor. The burger and upgrade from fries to four onion rings was not that tasty and quantity of onion rings pretty sad. $35 for a burger and four onion rings and a dr,pepper soda ridicoulously overpriced especially if the meat was frozen and four onion rings. Greedy owners. Will not dine here ever again. The staff was great but it left impression of greedy owners living off past reputation when it was a good restaurant at a different location.
The food is not worth the price here. Worst chili I have had that I can remember and Tyson chicken tenders that they have the audacity to charge $15 for. The shakes are fun (still expensive) and they add on a 5% service charge that doesn’t even go to the waiter at the end. I got 2 apps and 1 drink and 1 soda and it came out to $60. That’s pretty ridiculous given the mediocre bar level food I got. Last time here. Place is maybe good if you have kids and want a chuck-e-cheese type thing to keep them entertained.
The place is really cute—definitely a fun spot for photos and to bring your kids. But the first red flag was the online menu not showing any prices. That should’ve been my sign that things were going to be overpriced. We went on a Sunday and had about a 30-minute wait, which wasn’t too bad. They have an arcade area for the kids, and the prices there weren’t horrible. However, they only allow 90 minutes for dining, which is posted on a sign—felt a bit rushed, especially with kids. Once seated, I was honestly underwhelmed by the menu. Nothing stood out, and the prices were steep. Burgers were around \$19, and mine came out way overcooked and dry. They didn’t even ask how I wanted it cooked. Very disappointing. When I told my server, he brushed it off instead of offering a solution. I had to ask for cheese just to try and make it more edible. When I asked if all burgers were cooked that way, he said they’re made medium-well—but mine was far past that. The kids’ menu only had about six items, including mac and cheese and a PB\&J, both priced at \$12.50 *without* a drink included. They also offer a "kid snack" for \$6, which they say is half-price since you ordered from the kids' menu—but they don’t mention that it’s also half the portion size. Felt a bit sneaky. I also tried the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and it was *way* too salty. We arrived at 7 PM, not knowing the restaurant closed at 8. We came for the entertainment (which might have justified the high prices), but were told they stop that at 7 PM—so we missed it entirely. One highlight was the balloon artist—he was super talented and made my kids a dog and a unicorn. He works off tips and really brought some magic to the experience. The milkshakes were good—not amazing—but probably the best part of the meal. Our server had a fun, sarcastic vibe at first, which I liked, but he didn’t handle feedback well. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for great food. Come early if you want to catch the entertainment, and be ready to spend around \$100 for a family of four on food, plus another \$80 on games. Not worth a repeat visit, but at least now I can say I’ve been.

This place was a huge disappointment. The food tasted awful and was honestly disgusting bland, poorly made, and not worth ordering at all. The only decent thing here was the desserts, which were okay, but definitely not enough to make up for everything else To make things worse, an unwanted 20% gratuity and a 5% up charge was automatically added to the bill without clearly explaining it. That felt really unfair and left a bad final impression. I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you’re only stopping by for dessert and even then, there are better options elsewhere.
My group and I decided to go have lunch here on november 29th before heading to survivor series. We Had a good time until we got the bill and noticed it was a bit higher than it should have been. We did see the sign up front where it said there was a 5% charge to all orders but were not made aware there was an automatic 20% gratuity charge added onto the bill on top of that as well. I did not see anything about it on the menu nor did the waitress say anything about it and had us tip extra on top of the gratuity. I also looked on corvettes website and could not find anything about the gratuity charge as well. I paid $102 for 3 burgers, fries and some drinks when it should have been closer to $80 which is still absurd. I also asked for a physical receipt which I did not receive as well and the only reason we found about the gratuity charge was because we split the check and my friend had his receipt texted to him with the charge on it. I want to make it clear that I do not have an issue with tipping or paying gratuity but The practice of not disclosing the charge and not giving us the chance to remove it is extremely shady. This was the first time in years that I decided to eat here and wanted to bring my friends who were visiting from out of town to experience it for the first time. Needless to say this will most likely be the last time any of us ever go to corvettes. I will most likely be disputing the charges with my bank as well.
It’s an experiment and a tourist trap. Food is awful. They really need to work on the quality of food. Raise the prices and make better food for god sakes. Service was fine. They do charge a random 5% service fee which is strange. I deducted that from my tip.
This diner was the worst restaurant experience by far. First and foremost the environment and ambiance is what made the place really appealing, but that feeling went away immediately when me and my spouse were left sitting at the door without being approached by a host or hostess and was ignored by three staff member for about 15 minutes. Then when we got seated, we asked politely to be moved to a different section as they put us directly behind another family when the place was empty (which we can see why), and we were meant rudely and nastily with our server Chacho, and was annoyed by us asking to be moved. Right after we got moved, he walked away and didn't say anything or greet us then 5 minutes later he came back and was negative and his energy was just off and really inconsiderate and rude. From there he didn't check on the table and only served us our food, which was mid and cold by the time it got to us, maybe it would have been better if it were served right away. No apology for his attitude or from any of the staff there for their disrespectful treatment towards my spouse and I, and expected a tip. His demeanor only changed after addressing him firm and sternly, then after it was him trying to overcompensate. I'm not the type of person to not tip and treat service workers really well, but that 20% tip was really pushing it after being treated like that on my spouse's birthday not to mention. I still tipped, but it was definitely not earned and made the complete experience horrible. 0/10, I definitely do not recommend this restaurant and would avoid. Not worth the price and cost after being treated horribly. And ironically, this is at Liberty Station, and I'm active duty Navy which is crazy no respect or anything. Avoid!!
