Opinions de Craft House San Diego
One of my favorite restaurants. Delicious food, great service, and a lovely patio. I reserved the entire patio for a small birthday reunion once, and it was an amazing experience. Will definitely keep coming back!
Came here for the first time and boy was i glad. Staff from the jump was so nice and helpful. The bartender was very nice giving me recommendations on what to try. I didn’t know they also have specials during the padres games! $1 wings (min of 6) $9 classic burger with a side salad but can upgrade to fries. They also have taco Tuesday specials. I highly recommend you come also the atmosphere is very nice, I’ll definitely come back again. Thank you again to the staff who treated me and my family very nicely.
Before watching Materialists, my friends and I had dinner at The Craft House in Fashion Valley. It was my first time there plus with my other friends too, my friends introduced me to it and encouraged me to try the food. I ordered the short rib mini tacos (my friend’s favorite!), guacamole and chips, Caesar salad with grilled chicken breast, fish and chips with parmesan cheese, Brussels sprouts, and charred octopus. Everything was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was chic, with both indoor and outdoor seating. I loved the vibe, and the service was great too, the staff was knowledgeable and knew exactly what we needed. Always a win when you find a place with great food and great service!
Dropped here for a quick bite after the movies and it was way above expectations! Cool vibes (my girlfriend liked the woven lights) with nice house music playlist. Food was amazing, we got shirmp gambas (the bread was so good) and the short-rib mini tacos which were very juicy and flavorful with the salsas on the side. Their Burgeon draft beer was clean and tasty. They also have happy hour for the starters and the draft cocktails as well. They close the kitchen at 10pm but 11:30 for the bar.
Lots of fun gourmet burger choices, just wish we had more people with us to try all the options. The bread and buns were amazing. Especially the “not so basic” burger! They got us seated quickly. It was a cool atmosphere and we enjoyed it.
Great lunch at Craft House Fashion Valley! We sat on the dog friendly patio which was nice and spacious. We ordered the lobster roll, blackened salmon blt, and chicken blt. All tasted great, the sweet potato and salad sides are also really good. Very friendly server and not too long of a wait for the food. Would recommend, one of the better restaurants at the mall.
This place is a hidden gem!! Their customer service and food are absolutely amazing!! Everything that came out was 5 stars from the taste to the plating of the dishes. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and I will be back again and again! They will always be my Go to place for date night... girls' night... and anything in between!! Thank you for making me a frequent customer!!! We came back two days in a row when family came in town. They loved this place and wished they had a place like this back east.
Fashion Valley Mall finally has a decent spot for food and cocktails! Every fish we tried was delicious and beautifully prepared. Cocktails were all creative and tasty. Definitely going to be our go-to spot at Fashion!
What a great luncheon. We enjoyed a mocktail, Bahn mi sandwich, chips/guacamole, and short rib tacos. The restaurant is quite crowded inside but may have a lovely patio if the weather is right.
Best burgers in San Diego, hands down! I was devastated when I went to Rip Current and they were gone but, relieved when I heard that it was because they had moved to Fashion Valley. Was a little let down that they no longer do they house made chips, they were sooooo good. Don't sleep on the Brussels sprouts, the pomegranate is such a good touch to a pub food classic. These burgers are pretty large! Hand for size reference, I am 6'3" and have pretty large hands.

Truffle fries were wonderful! Equally enjoyed the short rib tacos. Watermelon candy drink was awesome! Atmosphere was average. Nothing outstanding. Waitress was friendly and attentive.
Worth the visit . We were in for dinner, visiting from out of town and wanted to grab something we can’t get at home . It was pretty dead for a Tuesday so we had the place mostly to ourselves. We were lucky enough to get the sweetest server, Gina, who made us feel very welcome and took the time to walk us through the menu and made suggestions. My daughter ordered the wings , they were great. I ordered one short rib taco which was absolutely perfect, and a Cobb salad. The salad smelled fresh, like the meat just came off the a grill. It tasted just as good as it smelled. Everything was delicious! They treated us to a brownie sundae birthday dessert and we loved it . Highly recommend
We tried multiple dishes and drinks. I really liked the ceviche (a bit spicier but it’s the way I liked it) and coconut cocktail. Their sliders were great. I would come back to try more dishes. Service wise though, it seems like they were not very organized yet. It took a bit longer to get the food and drinks.

This place is great. The reason for 4 stars is not because it's not good, it is. It's just the value. Both of our burgers were great, the sweet potato fries we awesome as were the truffle fries. The poke was good but expensive for what you get. Beer selection is pretty minimal but the beers are good. We'll be back especially since it's in fashion valley and my baby loves to run around there.
Walked in shortly before they close. Still, zippy service and screamingly tasty pizza. Size was excellent. Crunchy crust and just the slightest bit burned, where the dough made the biggest bubble. Outstanding - considering the location in a mall overrun but glitzy brands of consumerism. Plus the closest to the convention center/hotel monstrosity without good food. Calling this a good reason for existence.

Sad to have such a poor experience. Weekend visit with only a couple tables full and our service was mundane to non-existent. Everything from drinks to food took 15 to 25 min, our server was robotic with no hospitality and lacked in attention. At one point we walked inside to fill up our own water cups. Staff just standing around talking with each other. The only redeeming quality was the food. Drinks were subpar for craft cocktails. This place has potential but lacks professional service. We will not be returning.
The food is great. It’s delicious. But every. Single. Time. I come here, there is something up with the service. If we’re at a table, they take forever to not only get to our table, but our food takes a ridiculously long time to get to us. If we’re sitting at a bar, they’re incredibly neglectful. I swear, I keep going for the food and I keep thinking, maybe they were just having a rough day. But the last time I ordered a beer like 3 times and it never came. I finished my food and they never brought my beer. It wasn’t even busy. I think I’m done with this place. At least for a while. Their ceviche is really good though lol.

I purchased a gift card that was advertised on channel 5 San Diego and I thought it would be a good way to celebrate My Friend‘s birthday when we arrived the location in fashion Valley. It was advertised that it was open, but it was closed and there was a person at the counter and or a cook in the back no one acknowledged us so we decided to go across the way use the restroom at the pizza restaurant and then come back yet. It wasn’t open on a second try, so we decided that we would just try again out on another day. I do want to mention that the chef on tv was different on than that of your restaurant, but to be honest, the portion size was minimal With a ton of fries to cover up the portion.

Reservations were made weeks in advance, yet when we arrived, the restaurant was clearly overbooked. Instead of honoring our reservation, we were told we would need to sit outside—in the rain. What made this experience especially uncomfortable were the racist undertones throughout the interaction. The message was delivered by a waitress who appeared to smirk while giving us the news, which felt dismissive and disrespectful given the situation. To make matters worse, when we questioned sitting outside in poor weather, the restaurant refused to even turn on the outdoor heaters if we chose to stay. This was not a simple mistake or inconvenience—it was poor management, lack of accountability, and unprofessional service. Reservations should mean something, and guests should be treated with basic respect and dignity. Unfortunately, Craft House at Fashion Valley failed on all fronts. I would not recommend this restaurant based on how this situation was handled.
We made reservations a month in advance specifically to sit inside. When we arrived, we were told we had to sit outside in the rain because the restaurant overbooked another party indoors and could no longer accommodate us. What made this worse was the lack of professionalism. The manager never came out to speak with us. Instead, they sent a server to deliver the message, which felt dismissive and disrespectful given the situation. If you’re going to accept reservations, you should honor them or at the very least have management address the issue directly. This was poor planning and even worse customer service. Very disappointing experience.
We had a group Reservation that was booked a month ahead for our party and when we arrived they sent their Server to tell us that they over booked and did not have the Decency to have management come and explain. I have to say that I will never refer or dine this location. They were rude. We ate at Blanco right above the Craft and there food was delicious and the Service was Great.
