I enjoyed my visit to Drift Cafe and here is why you will too: 1. The coffee is fantastic. They know what they are doing when serving up a great cup of coffee. If you are looking for great taste this is a good spot to pick. 2. Fast fast fast. After I ordered my drink I went to sit down and just as I was getting settled in for a wait my drink was called. I couldn't believe it. Fantastic service! 3. Great location. After getting my drink I walked near the beach and watched surfers ride waves. It was awesome. Highly recommend checking this coffee shop out. Check out the photos to get a sense of the space.

I have come here for YEARS and this is by far the best coffee shop in PB. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service is unmatched. The quality of the food and beverages is top notch, then throw in the location right by the beach and the twins who run the place, you have yourself the ideal morning hangout spot. Highly recommend!

Super cute & quaint little place for breakfast in PB! Enjoyed the spinach & feta quiche, strawberry & arugula salad, & chai latte. Hubs had the tropical smoothie & banana nut bread. All were lovely, tasty, & served to perfection. 🙌🏻 Baristas remembered us the next time we came & even gave treats to our dog. 🐕‍🦺💟 Thank you for a pleasant experience! 🤙🏻 5/5! ⭐️

I almost want to not review to keep this place under the radar! But it’s too good not to share- whenever I need a pick me up I come here and get a breakfast plate and a matcha. It’s so relaxing and I always leave with a smile on my face.

My fav latte/breakfast morning hangout when I am relocate to PB for July. Consistently yummy bites. I have enjoyed everything I have ever tried! The lattes are a delicious warm hug and a work of art. My best, fav lately is the Hawaiian latte in a mug and an acai bowl. All my friends are required to come to My Happy Place when they visit me. Thank you Drift team for welcoming me in the mornings, serving beautiful, healthy food and the best lattes around. I'll miss you! See you next July ❤️

best cafe in san diego, matcha is a beautiful green, food is a 10/10, service is amazing and the cafe staff cares about creating good quality coffee. got the tomato toasty and added bacon, cashew cheese is so good and flavorful, I would recommend!

The sweetest little spot on the shore never disappoints. The staff is friendly without being overbearing, the music is great (especially if you like mellow ‘70s and ‘80s stuff), and the food is superb. The best avocado toast I have ever had for a fairly reasonable price, delicious burritos (both vegan and carnist), and chai lattes to die for!

Love this place! The french toast was worth coming back for a second time during our vacation. We also had the Baja burrito, the carne asada street tacos, everything bagels, croissants, and lattes. Everything was incredible. The service was great, the place has really cute decor, and the music playlist was perfect.

Cute cafe that is not overly crowded when you want a place to enjoy your coffee and food. I loved greenery and plants lining the inside and placed on the tables. Plenty of seating and super cozy. Coffee was good, and I want to come back to try more specialty lattes. They do have non dairy options: Almond milk and Oat milk. I was super exited to see a vegan item on the menu, the Vegan Burrito, which was good and much larger than I expected (that is not a bad thing!). Having plant based menu items draws me in to visit places so I’m happy to see Drift has more than one vegan menu item.

Stopped in here for coffee and it was such a cozy place! My husband and I got the bonfire latte and it was so good!

Loved the vibe there! I got the breakfast bowl and roo. bru coffee alternative, everything was amazing! Very good service, friendly people, perfect location. I would only suggest adding a cleaner milk alternative without seed oils or additives to make this place my everyday go-to place. Still it will be a place to go back. The lattes were delicious! I got the honey cinnamon and my friend got the matcha latte. Both were creamy and we savored every sip! Such a nice location minutes to the beach, too. We took our coffees and enjoyed them by the water.

We love this place! The best cappuccino made by the two brothers. My husband drives 15min away to go here. Family owned and run. Amazing coffee, breakfasts that are protein rich and heathy, yummy juices and immunity shots and a spicy and perfect chai latte. The tunes are always great, the atmosphere is so friendly, our whole family loves it Also, love that they use real mugs not just paper and plastic crap.

My niece who lives in SD recommended this place to me for matcha and her recommendation did not disappoint. Super cute spot, very clean, looks like they had a good food menu as well. I tried their special which was a white chocolate strawberry which you could get as a latte or matcha, I got the matcha and asked for a little less sweet because white chocolate always seems too sweet for me but this drink was perfection! The cold foam at the top mixed with the matcha was so good! I'd definitely come back here again if I was in the area. My only complaint was that parking sucked, but it was a three day weekend on a Saturday and also Valentines so PB was nuts.

Consistency is important and after 2 years of being a customer (Oct 2023) I can honestly say there is consistency in the quality of the steaming "milk" (micro bubbles not bath bubbles) which NO OTHER CAFE IN A 5 MILE RADIUS DOES RIGHT much less consistently, quality in the food,and quality of service. The iced Americano and vegan breakfast burrito were good! I like that they’ve got vegan options. I ordered ahead of time to pick up to go but they’ve got some indoor and outdoor seating. It’s close to the water so parking can be scarce but as expected in the city. Worth the stop. Cute spot.

Strong coffee, but latte wasn’t up to standard. The milk was overheated and didn’t have the silky smooth texture that I typically look for in a good latte. FYI: they don’t have syrups made in house.

I never will understand how a cafe can pretend to get good reviews based on atmosphere and good music. How about serving FRESH and CRAFTED croissants! Thats the definition of a cafe to me. Their croissant are dull, loaded with poor ingredients and have no freshness to it. Costco makes the same! Truly disappointing! .

So I ordered the vegan burrito and it was a majority all sweet potatoes. The potatoes weren’t even fully cooked. It said it had vegan bacon but it was sooooo minimal. No protein in this and felt like I paid $13 for a burrito made of sweet potatoes wrapped in a tortilla … I went to the manager to let him know and instead of him apologizing, he said, “that odd cause that’s one of our most popular items.” Felt a bit gaslit and uncomfortable. He did offer to get something else but will definitely not be going here again. Not worth the price and the food wasn’t that great. I’d skip if you’re on the fence.
