I went through the drive through at this location. The gentleman taking the order didn't have fluent English skills, so the order was a bit bumpy, but it turned out ok. My burrito was delicious though!

I came here for breakfast because I had to drop off a car at AutoGlass Now! It was a short walk which is always good and I walked in and ordered myself a bean and cheese 🧀 burrito 🌯 with chorizo and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place. Plenty of cars at the drive through picking up orders.

Great food and service! I’ve lived in north county my whole life, and I always like to try carne asada fries at different Mexican food places. Santana’s fries are by far one of the best I’ve had! Their fries are topped with beans, cheddar cheese, carne asada, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream and cotija cheese! Quality toppings, not very greasy. Also, their horchata is delicious! Definitely recommend this place!

Moved out of San Diego 8 years ago, but I make it a point to always eat here when I visit. This here is the Achiote chicken California burrito, which is my favorite 😋

Great food and service! I’ve lived in north county my whole life, and I always like to try carne asada fries at different Mexican food places. Santana’s fries are by far one of the best I’ve had! Sweet college sanctuary, sustaining satisfaction since. Scrumptious, steady burritos, sauce superb. Sentimental setting, street-side sparkle, simplicity suits. Seamless parking pleasure, spaces aplenty, truly the cherry on top!

I ordered doordash la paz burrito with extra rice, cheese and guacamole surprisingly it was really good. I wanted to try a different taste of a burrito from a different taco. It was really good. The green salsa is really good. It has a spice to it. Most green salsa is watered down. The red sauce is just as good. It's not watery. If you go here I recommend La Paz burrito

I lived in San Diego for years and come back to visit regularly. Santana's is usually a stop we make. The portions aren't what they used to be and the prices continue to go up. We will keep going for nostalgia I'm sure but they need to address those issues. If you can wrap half the tortilla around thE whole CA burrito more than once, the filling is too light.

I was charged, and actually spent, approximately $6.50 for a small order of French fries con queso (with cheese). And somehow "lost" the remaining $3.50 in quarters I had. This gouging has now become typical throughout the county.

Once a favorite now I’d rather go to Del Taco. If they get it back together I will revise this. Somehow extra crunchy fries meant soggy sloppy noodles

Ordered 4 burritos thru Doordash and only got 3

After visiting Poseidon Project, I came here for tacos for my friend and I. I ordered 2 adobada tacos, 1 pollo asado, and 2 pollo hardshell tacos. I paid about $22 for them and counted out the change for my tacos. When I got home, I opened the two containers that was supposed to have. A total of 5 tacos all together to find 1 pollo asado taco and 1 hardshell pollo asado taco. It became clear that the cashier didn’t clearly understand English and I spent way too much money for food I ultimately didn’t recieve. Other than that, the taste of the food was great and satisfying. However, please check your order before you leave.

Good food overall. Great Hot sauce. But their burritos are way too SMALL! like one scoop of beans one scoop of guacamole etc. Also the menu says potatoes but actually they give you French fries which to me should be separated. Been going here for 18 years. Very dissapointed in the portions

Ok first time trying Santanas. The staff was nice and food was quick. Ordering chips and salsa was an experience. To summarize the eat in experience was like eating fast food and not really somewhere to enjoy just a fast food atmosphere all around

Also, the person at the register wouldn't let me see what the total was & what I tipped which was rude so id like a refund cause that was rude & disrespectful. Also, I asked for half an order of carnesa fries & when I got to the windows he said a full order & I said no so he said gets going to take a little longer to get your order & I was already irritated so I just said give it to me & left but poor customer service & very disappointing

My wife took one bite and said it tastes like they just opened up a can of La Victoria canned beans. Verbatim. I can’t make this stuff up, and neither can AI. That pretty much sums it up.

Wondering why I felt so sick yesterday. Came back to eat the second half of my green pork burrito this morning and nearly broke my tooth on this Philips head screw

The bilingual female cashier wasnt in any mood to explain the difference between tapas & roll tacos, she had an attitude and saw the how the previous costumer asked for extra salsas and just got few. She need some manners, people person skills, and over all a happy face and smile because she looks like she dont care for anything as she just walked away as i told her if she didnt wanna help to just say so

Won’t be going back to this location, service is terrible and the drive thru girl has an attitude for no reason. They don’t care how the food comes out either. My order was not correct so I asked if they can fix it and they hung up on me.. I live around the corner of them so it’s unfortunate that it’s this terrible of service and quality of food. My burrito basically had rice and pico… with a couple pieces of meat and the menu didn’t even say it had pico in it.. don’t recommend this location even for convenience

Wasn’t happy at all. Took forever to order and then we get the food and the California burritos were mixed up. One was supposed to have no salsa but they labeled the one with salsa as without on the paper. Not only that but the tortilla was so burnt I can barley chew it. I will never come back here. I also paid extra for sour cream that didn’t seem to exist in my burrito. Paying $10 dollars for a burrito it should be pretty dang tasty but this was not the case.

Don't waste your time here, go around the corner to Roberto's. I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito... very simple. It had practicely no bacon or eggs. Just a bunch of french fries and greece inside. Yuck.

After 23 years of visiting Santana's I will not be anymore! It started with a very hard time ordering because neither of the 2 young girls spoke English well enough to take an order correctly. After a long order and finally getting it right, they forgot part of my order. When I called to ask them to prepare it so I could pick it up when I got there they again could not comprehend what I was asking. So I went back to the restaurant to get the rest of my order. When I went back in the girl that took my order is sitting in the restaurant eating my exact order!! Furthermore she was in no hurry to help me. When the next girl also could not help me because she didn't understand the cook came out to try and help. He kept asking if I need another order of enchiladas. I kept repeating to him that I never received the order placed and needed the original order. Finally the girl eating my order took a break from eating, went back into the kitchen, and opened someone else's order looking at it and then packed it and handed to the drive thru customer. Never did this girl wash her hands after eating and returning to the kitchen! She then proceeded to take my order from the cook and hand it to me. I stood there as I took it and waited for an apology of some sort but received nothing. I didn't even eat the food after what I witnessed. It's also worth noting while I was waiting 3 other people came in that had incomplete orders as well. I have attempted to contact the manager 3 times but the manager is never in apparently. The employees also will not share the managers name nor their own names.

Went to Santanas to get a large order of rolled tacos and a shrimp taco. The rolled tacos had no guacamole, but even worse the frozen shrimp on the taco where under cooked, under seasoned and bland and the tacos tortilla was raw and there was no sauce. It was absolutely disgusting and I had to throw it away. Unfortunately it seems there chef doesn't care about quality at this location

I used to go here. What I don’t like is they add a 3% surcharge for credit cards and don’t say anything about it. They give you the amount due (without the fee) and they don’t give you a receipt. I figured this out because the payment process felt shady so I asked the cashier for a receipt and then noticed it. I brought it up to the cashier and she just sheepishly said, “I know.” I actually don’t mind paying the fee at all, but they should advertise it. The fact that they knowingly hide it makes me question their integrity as business owners and wonder what else do they hide or cut corners on…..super disappointed

This place used to be one of the best Mexican spots in SD, but every year it gets more expensive and the food quality goes down. Your paying $13 for a mediocre burrito. I live really close by so it’s sad to see how far down this place has gone downhill.

What a disappointing experience. The woman taking orders at the drive through kept cutting us off while we were still ordering and then missed items. We waited at the speaker but she never came back on so we went to the window. She then told us that she couldn’t add to the order and also wouldn’t put it in for us to then walk in to get. Ever since they were closed during the rain, the service and food has just gotten worse. Its clearly beyond time to go to a different Mexican restaurant and I highly encourage others to do the same.
