Best Indian food in SD, everything on the menu is fire. Portions are great, prices are great, folks are good and kind and I love it. I will be returning within the week.
Very great food and friendly staff!
Came here with my boyfriend and was blown away with how authentic and delicious the food was. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Haven’t felt that level of warmth from any restaurant in quite some time. Do not waste your money elsewhere. Indian tandoor will definitely leave a lasting impression.
ordered chicken biryani from here and charminar so I could compare them side by side. Both were great but this place tasted better in my opinion and was cheaper.
I don’t understand how anyone who knows good Indian food can give less than 5 stars. Not only did I get a small sample cup of rice and the two options I was looking at but for the first time that I can remember I was treated like more than a customer. The naan was the best I’ve had. The korma was amazing. Under $11 and you get naan, rice cucumber salad and two meat items. I wish I didn’t live in north county just for this absolutely proper Indian food. Thank you!
Excellent food with great service. I loved the Chana Bhatura and meals!
All the non-veg items are great... dal, chicken, lamb, naan. Authentic and great prices. Would certainly recommend!
The food here is always ready and tastes amazing. Good portions too! Highly recommended :)
Love the channa bhature, the samosas and the owner of this place. We visit the place at least once a week !! Staff is extremely friendly too. The owner is really sweet and makes sure you are well fed before you leave.
I come here often for lunch or if I’m working late, staff is friendly and the food options are always fantastic! Great prices too!
Have been getting lunch food here and their previous location for at least 15 years, several times per month. That’s a lot of chicken masala ;) Very tasty and budget-friendly Indian food. Easy to order meals 1-5 (every day till 3pm) kind of panda express or similar fast ordering process. Mix and match meat or veggies. Highly recommend to try out if in neighborhood.
Aloo Samosas are one of the best, served super hot, made fresh!
Best Indian food in Mira Mesa. I recommend Chicken biryani and Chicken tikka masala
This is my go-to Indian food spot. They serve Indian food the way it should we sold.. 2-3 item. The price varies on if you want meat or non-meat. They are incredibly affordable and down right DELICIOUS!! Never ever a bad experience when I come here.
This is my favorite place for Indian fast food. So delicious. The staff is so very friendly. They have often sent me with little extra treats/tastes of something new. And you get a large amount of food.love love love it
Great chana bhature(authentic bhatura or fried bread) and kulcha. Quite authentic for the two dishes we ordered. Should have come to this place earlier lol. Unbeatable prices too. There are few tables to eat inside which are clean and a few tables outside too shared with all the rest of the eateries in this plaza. Very casual atmosphere and good value for money .
Great food and great service!! I had the Gobi Manchurian, the chole and masala fries and they were all spectacular. I also love the affordability and the staff is very sweet. Lastly the chai hits the spot, it’s best I’ve had in San Diego.
Really delicious food and nice guys working. Fast casual style, spice was really well layered and portions were great. Chicken cooked pretty perfectly as well.
Food is amazing! The staff has great customer service they even let me sample! And was generous with that amount. Highly recommend.
Indian Tandoor is the place to go if you are looking for budget friendly meals. We are repeat customers here for 10+ years and their chana bhatura never disappoints. We also tried paneer paratha and French fries which were good.
We were looking around, just hoping to find a quick lunch and after coming to this restaurant there, customer service was completely amazing and the food was phenomenal. My family, and I loved the food. You could tell that it was made with love we will be back. 10/10 Definitely recommend 😀
Good food, nice people less price. Had a chicken combo and it was good.
Awesome food, tea is the best. Specially Guri the front office guy is great, he suggests really good options, Their combo meals offers great combination for both veg and non veg food lovers. Very reasonable and affordable price for an authentic Indian restaurant. Perfect for Indian community!!!!
Best place to eat. Friendly tasty and family.
The the staff is very polite. They provide delicious food. I come here every day and eat Indian food I like it thank you so much.
Delicious! My husband loves Indian food. We have ordered from Indian Tandoor twice now and love it! My son loves the Chicken Tikka Masala. I had the Saag Paneer, which was just perfect! My husband had the Bengan Bhartha (eggplant with tomatos and onions) and Daal Makhani (lentils) and loved both. The samosas and naan are the perfect accompaniment and you can customize the spice level for each dish.
I asked for a sample of food and he gave me an entire plate to try! The servings are generous and tasty.
One of the tasty and cheap Indian food you can have in San Diego. The server is friendly and I usually go with the veggie combo.
My family & I absolutely love this place! It's fast & yummy all at the same time! Not to mention the prices are great!

I just devoured the ‘Samosa-Chaat’ (veg) and it was absolutely fantastic! The spice level was perfectly balanced, and the freshness of the cilantro and diced tomatoes added a wonderful touch. But what really made it stand out was the incredible chutney combo - it was a flavor explosion! If you're a fan of bold flavors and fresh ingredients, you need to try this! 😋👌 Hot ‘samosas’ with sweet & green chutneys were quite good as well. The Indian tea (with milk; ‘chai tea latte’) is good, not fancy. * place is a hole in the wall so keep your expectations reasonable. The dude on the counter is helpful.
I have been coming to this place for almost 10 years, it's always great 👍 love it 😀 Workers are great too.
Okay, this little family owned place has consistently had THE BEST Indian food in town, hands down! A new competitor popped up next door (Charminar) with a cheap(er) daily lunch special and I just had to try it. The competitors lunch was a few bucks cheaper, but was a watered down meal with very little flavor. AND, it’s rare to find a place that has delish lamb (menu varies daily) dishes, which I love! The place is small and plain, but clean and I’d rather eat delicious food, than pay for the restaurants decorations. Try it, it’ll become your family’s go-to for home style Indian food!
Im only in mira Mesa once a week. I alwayse try and stop in. Excellent. Thanks team!
We are regulars here for several reasons! Reasonable prices compared to other Indian food restaurants in San Diego, great tasting food (we always get the butter chicken for take-out and have leftovers for the next day), and quick service! The staff recognize us and are very friendly. Highly recommend!
I was a bit skeptical about trying this place after seeing the crowd at a neighboring competitor during our vacation in San Diego, but I’m glad I did — I was completely wrong. The food here is truly delicious, and the staff is warm and courteous. The ambience is simple and basic, but they really shine with flavorful dishes, especially when you order à la carte to your preference.
I have been getting food here for 10 years. While most restaurants are getting more expensive, Indian Tandoor's prices have stayed mostly the same. The food is delicious, the service is fast and friendly. The price is relatively inexpensive. 5 stars.

Good food in a simple fast-food setting. Great if you just want to get on and out! Good patio area outside.
This restaurant feels like it's always open. It feels like a small family run business where they do the cooking and cleaning how they feel like it, rather than following the regulations of some big corporation. Basically, it has a 'hole in the wall' feel, one step above food trucks. So the food tastes great to me, but I think one may argue there's a risk that comes with the good flavor...they do say spicy food is easier going in then coming out. Lots of parking.
I absolutely love the food here; the veggie options are superb. The Styrofoam plates and plastic ware given for takeout hurt my soul though. They need to move towards sustainability. But the food is just amazing. Food:5 stars. -1 for plastic/styrofoam.
Came here for dinner with my wife on a Tuesday. It had a short line for ordering. We ordered their combo, which came with a choice for curry, naan, rice, and,I assume, dal. The staff was welcoming and polite. They brought out our tray and helped us get plastic forks and spoons. The food had good spice level, which we asked for medium. Although my wife said her spice wasn't there. I ordered the lamb curry, which the flavor was good. Good, but not the best I had. Same for my wife's butter chicken curry. The naan was not as thick, but was enough for the meal. The place is small and maintained. This was our first Indian restaurant for San Diego, so it would be unfair to compare with other Indian restaurants at this time and decide if it is a place we'd come back to.

The staff is polite and the food is affordable too. The quality is average though (sometimes it is slightly better, usually its average). If they work a bit more on quality, the place will be a huge hit.

Everyone working there is quite friendly. Samosa’s were room temp, tikka masala was decent as was tandoori chicken. Garlic naan was more like cilantro naan.

The quality and flavor of the food items were unsatisfactory. I sampled the two meat and one vegetarian entrees, which provided me with a comprehensive overview of the restaurant's culinary offerings. It is imperative that this establishment enhances the quality of its cuisine, as it purports to represent Indian cuisine but falls far short of the authentic flavors and culinary traditions of India.
Used to be okay. Now the food is flavorless gloop, the service is rude. You don't get what you ask for. They look you square in the face and put different items on your plate than you ordered and then pretend it's right. Kheer is all liquid (no rice) and gloppy. My stomach wants it's lining back.
I've been coming here for about 15 yrs and I used to consider this as one of the best fast food place in Mira Mesa area. But the quality of food has gone down lately to worst. The owners really need to put some effort to raise up the quality quick, otherwise they will loose all their regular Customers fast.
