Cute little cafe for the locals of mission hills. You can see a lot of families grabbing their morning coffee or persons working on their laptops. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. To top it off the drinks are delicious. I got a tumeric latte with coconut milk and it tasted just like what I usually pick up at the farmers market
I'm from out of town, and we tried a couple of coffee shops. This is the one we liked to return to. Has really good vibes. Mostly got coffee the way I want to. On my last visit, the cashier just couldn't remember what I ordered (just coffee with steamed milk), and she somehow wrote almond milk instead. I thought it tasted weird, and made a face. I think the manager noticed, and offered to remake the coffee. The barista still didn't make it very well. Either she was frustrated, or the coffee cup still had almond milk flavor. But i appreciated the gesture.
Really enjoy the cortado here. It is by far the best prepared cortado I've had in San Diego! It has a rich smoky flavor, and not overly bitter. Interior design is on point and has many places to sit to do your work on or just hang out. Will definitely recommend.
Food is great, coffee is amazing. All the staff are great as well, very proffessional and friendly. The locals not so much. I don't mind going because its amazing, but locals are a bit snooty, so it's always a quick in and out for me.
Really like this place as it is #furfree . Even though dog owners annoyingly bring their dogs inside, they can't keep them inside. Coffee is good, interior design great and people are super friendly and chatty. My new favorite coffee shop! 👍🏻👍🏻
very nice vibes. Friendly staff. Fast service good coffee and breakfast options. Great neighborhood. people sitting around on laptops and socializing. Gives it a very nice atmosphere.
I had a half hour before I picked up my kids from school in Old Town and googled coffee places in Mission Hills and found this cute neighborhood coffee place. If I can, I try to avoid the big coffee places and my husband and I are always on the hunt for hidden gems like Kettle and Stone! The girl who greeted me happily when I walked in was wonderful and recommended the Cortano ( can't quite remember name ) a stronger coffee but not quite espresso with almond milk ...amazing!!! They also have gluten free pastries and I tried a pistachio mini bundt.. made by a local business! Let me tell you, I was all over this place with its earthy, bohemian, relaxed vibe - unfortunately the 30 mins flew by and I had to leave . Parking was not hard to find, plenty of side streets if you can't find it in front. Can't wait to go back 😍☕️
Just went here for the first time today and its my new favorite coffee shop in San Diego. This place has a really good energy, and great coffee. I could spend the whole day relaxing here.
I've been visiting Kettle for years and always have a lovely time. It has become a comfortable, safe-feeling spot for me. The drinks, pastries, and staff are all 👍, and the owner is cool too. It's always a nice place for me to visit, & tends to boost my productivity every time I visit.
Wish I could give way more stars. This is my go to coffee shop. Is so cute and has such an amazing vibe. Now they have more tables but still feels cozy and charming. Their amazing friendly team and special bites. The coffee and the tea options are amazing. One of my top favorite capuccinos in town. Like the ones I am used in Italy. I adore their iogurte with granola, honey and lemon zest. Yummy almond little cake. The location cannot be more charming
Perfect spot to grab coffee with a friends. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful.
A spirited cafe owned and operated by women. It’s located in a very homey strip of Mission Hills. I ordered the veggie quiche and a hot americano - both were excellent. Aside from cafe food and drink, there’s an opportunity for eclectic shopping within the space. The atmosphere is energetic and welcoming. I will definitely be back, and I’m so happy I stumbled upon it.
Great local coffee shop! Fresh coffee beans grind when you order, the menu for drinks is clear and not complicated, but you can customize your drinks if you prefer substituting ingredients. Very boho atmosphere, fountain sound in the corner, outside space in sidewalk is very relaxing. Restroom small but clean and nice. Pet friendly, even dog treats available. Many people working or studying at the tables.
Excellent espresso (pulled through a Marzocco) with lots of fun serving options. This is a great cafe to study/work and chill in Mission Hills. The food and drinks are definitely on the pricier side, but the staff is friendly and the quality is good.
Some of the best specialty coffee in San Diego. Friendly staff always make great recommendations for what to drink depending on your preference. Parking can be difficult, but worth the stop for a good coffee.
I love the atmosphere of this little cafe tucked away in Mission Hills. The staff are great and the coffee is really good! Hard to find a seat at certain times of the day, but they do their best with seating out on the sidewalk. Gives it a cool European vibe in that sense. Highly recommended!
My favorite coffee spot! Ironically, I often stick to decaf options over caffeinated but this place does both so well. My go-to is the turmeric latte with a gluten free chocolate bar. Amazing, friendly staff and super cool vibes. Also- the tunes are always on point.
Super cool. Little spot. Service is great. Coffee tastes delicious.
This coffee shop is fantastic, offering plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. In addition to drinks and food, the shop also sells a selection of souvenirs and knick-knacks. The menu features a wide variety of delicious options. The toast is crispy and flavorful yet simple. The coffee is well-balanced and has a pleasant taste without being overwhelming.
Gorgeous little dog friendly neighborhood coffee shop and apothecary! Menu is great, the staff are patient and kind, and the patrons are friendly and you can tell they have regulars and newcomers and treat everyone alike! Might have to make this our new go-to spot! We came here on a rainy day and it was cozy but eager to try the outdoor patio next time!
All my favorite things under one roof - coffee, crystals, candles, jewelry, and artisan home goods. A carefully curated selection of wares will tempt you as you wait in line for delicious treats like blueberry banana bread, toasted hazelnut lattes, and specialty toasts (I had ricotta). They also gift wrap any purchases beautifully, which was a nice surprise! Please patronize this business to they continue to thrive!
Ahh this place is adorable! A few outlets on the ground along the bottom of the floor (hard to spot). Some indoor and outdoor seating. Steady flow of people but not overwhelmingly full. The americano was delicious. The whole place is cute with plants and crystals and good energy.
Favorite coffee spot when visiting SD. Staff is always nice, coffee is well-done, decor is zen-like, and we love the outdoor space. We also love exploring the adjacent shops and neighborhood.
Tasty pastries and lattes! Love the atmosphere in here with crystals, local art, smudge stick and high quality herbal blends A mindfully sourced curation in this space that’s definitely a treat to be in presence with
Kool little indie coffee shop. I ordered the india spiced latte and it was incredible and unlike anything that I have ever tasted before. I also grabbed an apple pie muffin and it too was fresh and off the charts. I will definitely be telling the whole neighborhood and I look forward to my next visit and cup of heaven!

Very unique and eclectic vibe. There was a marathon in the area and they were very busy, but staff handled it well. I am from Michigan and appreciated coming across this local coffee shop. It has a very welcoming and calming aesthetic.
A great quaint place popular with the locals, great selection of pastries. Also some healthy options - try their avocado toast, delish! Great coffee and a wonderful staff to serve you, - Thanks Raina, you always make my coffee just how I like it😋
Best cappuccino I have ever had and the lemon poppyseed gluten free muffin was very good as well.
Great setting - pretty space with peaceful outdoor seating along a quiet street in Mission Hills. Has a very communal feel with local folks, families & kids, young professionals. Very friendly staff and good quality coffee. Quiche here is great and sells out. Bonus: The space faces North so you are comfortable in the shade even on warm sunny days.
Excellent service by all 3 baristas. I git a caramel latte & it was delish. A huge bakery selection w fresh breads of all kinds. This is a hidden spot off of Washibgton & i can see it is a neighborhood favorite. If you want a nice, cozy cup of coffee, take the trip on over. Indoor & outdoor seating. Dog & kid friendly.

Favorite local place. They staff are delightful, the coffee is excellent and the ambiance is all you could ask for. Nestled in one of the cutest neighbors in San Diego, this is a favorite, even with the art, crystals, and candles that are indicative of the neighborhood wealth.
love this place. but I'm a guy and they only hire girls (good looking) the food price is... just right for "mission hills" 😉(too high anywhere else) the drinks are good and priced the same as any shop. decor is nice (rustic old barn like) the customer service is 5stars.
Very cute and serene coffee shop, away from any hustle or bustle. This is a great place to either sit and do work or have an intimate conversation with someone. They sell some cute, eclectic (kind of BoHo) items as well. Staff was friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating. Such a great find.
The latte and banana bread was super yummy and the staff were very sweet and speedy. I wouldn’t recommend for a study spot because the wifi was soooo slow and spotty but there were quite a few folks on their laptops as well. It wasn’t especially quiet either, which is fine but not the best for studying. Lots of outdoor patio space I would’ve enjoyed too but didn’t want to risk it with the wifi situation. A cute spot overall though
Coffee is delicious!! Dogs ok inside! Got a lemon almond loaf and it was okay, I didn't finish - it tasted vegan with a little too much lemon (I love lemon) and I couldn't taste almonds.
We stayed in this neighborhood in an Airbnb. We went to this cute local coffee shop which is perfect to sip coffee and enjoy some quick bites. This place also has lot of pretty crystals and jewelry for sale. There’s a stone idol in the middle of the shop which gives the shop a very good vibe. We ordered roasted hazelnut latte which was not that great however the fresh rose latte was delicious! We also took simply avocado toast and also toast with ricotta cheese, honey and jam on it. Both were great, the avocado toast was made using baguette and it was toasted to perfect crunch. Would love to visit this shop again! The place does get a little busy so we had to do a takeout.
I was staying in the neighborhood, and this small local coffee shop is around the corner. I stopped by to pick up coffee and pastry for breakfast. This is a very cute coffee shop. There are local artist putting their items in this coffee shop for sale. The decorations are wellness based. I ordered an americano and a chocolate croissant. The americano came out very hot that I almost burned my hand when I was holding the cup. Love the taste of the americano as it came out strong. However, I am not a fan of the chocolate croissant. The pastry was not flakey or crispy. It deformed when I was picking it up. There is room for improvement. Service was fast and pretty attentive.
Ordered a Cortado and it did not taste like a 1:1 ratio. It had a tad bit more latte than usual. However, the place is cute and cozy. They provide very delicious gluten free pastries. The staff is very friendly. They also have outdoor seating.
Cute store in a great location to enjoy and sip on a nice morning coffee. Ok coffee, but not a place I’d drive to just to get my coffee. The ingredients are all good but missing a true barista’s touch.

Beautiful space. Wish they warmed up the food and offered dining in house mugs.
The person working the register was kind of grumpy and rude. The drinks were pretty nice though. The avocado toast was just ok. It would have been nice if they bought the food out instead of having to wait at the counter. Overall a B-. Meh.
They upcharge $1 for a splash of non dairy "milk" so if you're vegan or lactose intolerant you're taxed.. nice looking & mellow vibe but ultimately not that comfortable to sit inside. Nice outdoor patio. Counter girl seemed friendly

Had a small yogurt parfait in a cup for $8, which is absolutely criminal. Also had a flat white, paid more than what specialty coffee places charge for actual good quality coffee, and it was the worst coffee I’ve had that I can remember. The quality / taste of the coffee itself was bad and the preparation was seriously awful. You could make a better flat white with Nespresso machine. It’s maddening that they charge this much for such low quality product.
don’t think i’ve ever paid money for a latte this bad before. there was a slight salted caramel flavor but it tasted like the milk was spoilt (which would be shocking since i was the first customer of the morning) and the coffee was both weak and burnt. service was just fine and atmosphere was nice
We like going to various coffee shops on Sundays. We found this place with good reviews. My experience was a let down - first they gave me the wrong coffee. I ordered dark chocolate mocha and they gave me Mexican mocha. They replaced it with the correct drink but I didn't think it had enough dark chocolate. I thought they gave me just regular mocha and when I looked at the menu they didn't have regular mocha so this must have been the dark chocolate mocha. They also messed up in the toasts...they were 2 types of avocado toast and they served us the wrong one. The toasts were overpriced. 2 coffee drinks and 2 toasts cake up to $34. I personally wouldn't order this again.

Arrived at 930am on a Sunday and they already were sold out of quiche, which while impressive begs the question of how much was even available to begin with in what I assume is their busiest time of week. The salted caramel latte didn’t taste like Carmel nor was it salted. Ended up with overpriced hummus toast that tasted bland. Save the trip. The cafe looks pretty but that’s about the extent of it
