Opinions de Mina Lounge San Diego
Visited this place twice, both times my bill ended up being around 30 including tip. I tried their french toast which was loaded with fresh fruits. I also had one of their pastries which was croissant cube with chocolate or something like that and it was served warm and really delicious. Cafe vibe was great and espresso and latte tasted good and had the kick
Beautiful little French creperie/cafe in the heart of the San Diego Gaslamp District. I attended a convention there in October and visited twice in two days because it was so delicious and peaceful! The seasonal oatmilk butter pecan latte was to die for (I ended up ordering it both days), and the pastries and egg croissant sandwich were delicious as well. The employees were efficient, kind, and incredibly helpful. The atmosphere was peaceful and clean - both inside and out. I plan to attend the same conference next year with my husband, and I already have plans to return to this very spot for some of the most delicious food and coffee I've ever had. Highly recommend!
Okay everyone here is a fantastic hidden gem in San Diego. And for those living in Orange County there's one at the Packing House. Parfait Paris took me back to the Parisian eateries I just went to in August, when I visited Paris. This one is a must for the European conosours. The manager Phoebe was delightful, friendly kind and so personable. The staff Ben C. and Ivy were absolutely wonderful, and had such a cute little French accent. The food was timely and incredibly delicious! If you want to go to heaven just for a bit, try Parfeit Paris, you will be sure to have your taste buds tantalized with the most delicious eggs benedict I've had in a very long time. The carrot cake was incomparable yuuuum, and I highly recommend the chocolate desert in my photos, it melts in your mouth. I had the best Dulce de Leche latte I've ever had. I had to finish the brunch with a sweet heavenly treat for later, I took some mochi variety home, that my family and I devoured watching our favorite TV show. If you are anywhere around the San Diego area, you must visit this place, it will transport you to the divine Parisian eateries in France!
While in San Diego, I was searching every morning for a place where I could have a vegetarian-friendly breakfast since I’m Muslim. Parfait was only a 3-minute walk from my hotel, and it quickly became my go-to spot. I ended up visiting more than three times during my week in the city. They honestly have the best croissant I’ve ever had. On two of my visits, I met Phoebe, the girl working there. She carried a soft smile behind her shy and innocent face, and she was incredibly kind, even making the effort to pronounce and remember my name correctly. Thank you for the warm experience you provide, it truly made my mornings in San Diego special.
I really like the many flavors we got, we got the lemon. We got the pineapple. We got a lot of flavors that I can’t name for spoilers, but they were all really good. I definitely recommend this so yeah! - Ephraim Keith, 12 yoa Unique experience of amazing flavors!
Lavender Honey latte was delicious! Barista was friendly and fast . Walked right up for a coffee at 745 am when everywhere else was packed. Don’t miss out!
We had breakfast there this Sunday morning. The brunch menu looks great and you can go full breakfast to light. I did the classic breakfast and it was very well done. Potatoes cooked just right (I’m from Idaho, I know these things). Eggs same. My wife had an almond croissant and says it was wonderful. At 8 am there was no wait and we sat out on the sidewalk patio. Happy to go again.
We ordered crème brûlée, and Evelyn was incredibly kind and welcoming. The torch touch was absolutely incredible.
Super cute cafe in midst the gaslamp quarters. Open early, great for early birds. Food is delicious. Baked goods look to be European standard deliciousness. I highly recommend this place for a great breakfast or a quick coffee to go.
From the moment I stepped into this restaurant, I knew I was in for something special. What really set this place apart, though, was the service. Every member of the staff greeted us with genuine smiles and treated us like valued guests. Dove was attentive and made excellent recommendations. And the desserts — absolutely delicious! Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh flavors. It was clear that great care and pride went into every detail. This location was recommended to me by Leon and I'm so grateful I went. If you like Paris Baguette, then you'll LOVE Parfait Paris. I plan on making another trip next time I'm in town.
The place was recommended by our hotel to go for coffee. We took our laptops and wanted to get coffee and work there. We got cheesecake and coffee. Interesting, our order did not show up on their screen so they did not make our coffee - rather, they made it for people after us. We commented that maybe it’s because we did not have a number tag/flag on the table. It was actually a system issue, minor, and they came with coffee right away, I’d say he was the manager - super kind, great attitude, professional, and even offered us macaroons for the trouble. Not an issue, but I’d say their service is great! We all miss orders or system does not show them (I realize it, I have a business and where people pay cash, sometimes the orders don’t show in queue). What the company does to mend an issue is truly impressive and we stayed for hours and worked and enjoyed the place! The whole team is wonderful! So are the coffee and the treats. We went there again the following day. The sandwich was amazing, the salmon crepe fantastic, they just really do a top notch job!
I have visited this pastry/ coffee shop several times in San Diego. Pastries are delicious, as are their desserts, food, and drinks. They also have ice cream, which I haven’t tried but assume is just as good of a quality as everything here. Thank you to Carlos for preparing the food. Thanks to all the staff members, Andrew, Dove, Matt and Leon, for such a friendly service and kind hearts! Their opening hours are a treat, too! It was lovely to stumble upon it late in the evening and find out I’ll be able to grab a bite as early as 7am! Happy Holidays, Everyone and Happy New Year!🎄✨
The coffee, food, everything was just amazing!! Highly highly recommend this place!! Huge shout out to Ben & Ivy for their recommendations!
Pretty good to be honest. My fave is the dubai croissant, and the mango bliss Service is good and she is very nice and sweet. Probably go again
Great atmosphere and vibe. Hookah and service were great would definitely come again.
The best Hookah lounge in San Diego everything is good over there the food, the drink, the hookah the music and the workers are really sweet
Great Hookah spot in downtown San Diego! Fantastic staff, classy and fun atmosphere, and really smooth hookah! You can even get cocktails here and it’s open late! It’s a very lively, social place to go to with friends! Highly recommend!
If you’re looking for the perfect hookah spot in San Diego, Minas needs to be on your list. Right in the heart of the Gaslamp District, this lounge nails the vibe — from an incredible selection of hookah flavors (seriously, something for everyone) to the smooth beats setting the mood all night long. A special shoutout to Shawn, whose service made the whole experience feel next-level ... attentive, friendly, and on point from start to finish. Between the amazing weather, the music, and the energy of the space, it was one of those nights you just don’t want to end. If you’re hunting for a chill spot to unwind with friends and enjoy the San Diego evening, Minas is the move. 🌙💨✨
As a hookah enthusiast, I would give this place a full 5 star review. The vibes are amazing, the prices are very reasonable, the have a great atmosphere and a full bar. They actually go down to the actual hookah smoking experience by providing essentials like ice in the base, fruit top bowls, and even milk in the base! You could also ask for liquor or wine in the base which definitely elevates your hookah experience. Everytime I’m in SD, this is the spot!
Kind staff, well prepared drinks, and elegant interior. Mina Lounge offers a wide variety of drinks and signature cocktails/mocktails. The food menu is quite small as they focus more on drinks and hookah. Also, by far the fastest served and most flavorful hookah I've enjoyed in San Diego! The lounge has plenty of flavors to choose from along with multiple fruit combinations. Highly recommended for large or small groups, business professionals, and hookah loving patrons alike. ✨👍🏾
Flew from New York, and was trying to find a good hookah lounge/bar in SD Downtown & came across mina, love the ambiance here, hookah was good as well, wouldn’t really recommend the glass hookah which we ordered, really no need for it, just regular is fine. Waitresses were kind, and they brought out the birthday dessert in a very nice and eventful way with songs in the background too. Would definitely recommend visiting, it’s good nightlife or even a chill spot to do your remote work and eat. 5/5!!!
Mina Lounge is very difficult place to make reservations. (If someone from Mina is reading this, please update your phone number, answer your phone calls or allow us to make an online reservation. Thank you.) **Update** I ended up making a reservation in the end by the way. But why am I giving them a 5 star?? Because the whole time- from making reservations, to the time we entered the lounge.. all the way till the time we got our bill- we were all treated with such amazing hospitality. Our waitress that was taking care of us did not have her notepad to take our orders but she did brag that she had worked there for a long time, so apparently she can remember everything. She didn't. She messed up by giving us an alcoholic watermelon drink 🍸 when we wanted a watermelon flavored hookah. The thing is, she accepted the blame and took the mistake off our bill. (At lease I hope she did.) The lounge in general has such a great vibe, and the music was just right for my group of friends. Just little things to know: -Go for the premium hookah! -They only have 1 stall bathrooms for each gender. -If you don't like reading the fine print, they automatically include 18% gratuity to your bill. -Mama didn't raise no b***h, but the drinks are very strong! Deliciously strong that is! -Food is so damn delicious I have no idea why?! We just ate to sober up but omg it was great! (Try the pizza and pita with hummus) In the end, hospitality goes along way. I highly recommend Mina Lounge as a place to eat, drink and hookah.
Nice atmosphere, however staff is slow, we had to wait for a single crepe over 30 minutes (there were two other customers at the store only) and they didn't make the order right. Some beverages and a strawberry sorbet were the only vegan options.
Mixed feelings here. The surrounding area smells like urine & weed, making it almost a torture to sit on their patio. Pitty… The service is extremely slow - people here are clearly not in a rush lol but at least very friendly. But still overpriced for what you get. The coffee tasted great - and so did the Crepes (to my surprise). Can recommend when nearby looking for a coffee
The shop is inviting and the staff super friendly. My pain au chocolate was really tasty however the iced chai latte even though it was good it was super sweet. I would go back for the pastries
The cafe has an amazing atmosphere. You can tell they put real thought and taste into creating it. It is a cozy and beautiful place, especially when the big windows are open. The desserts here are absolutely delicious and the breakfast is really hearty. It is a perfect spot for an inspiring start to the day or a romantic date. I would just make the service a little more positive or friendly, maybe more like the vibe you get in France, rather than how it feels now.
Best hookah I’ve tried in the downtown area. It’s better earlier on weekends though. The vibe definitely changes after midnight. It’s way rowdier and less about the hookah so they start restricting the menu options. Recco it as a pregame before bar hopping on weekends or just going early / on weekdays if you are more interested in smoking. I usually order ice in the base and prefer the specialty flavors. Smoky sangria is 10/10!
Got the matcha latte and a cinamon roll. The cinamon roll was pretty good but the matcha was sandy
It was fine I guess. Though if you want Well drinks make sure you say it over and over again or you'll get upcharged. Nearly $300 for two people is insane. I'm visiting from NYC and have never paid that much for 6 drinks and 2 hookahs in my life. The atmosphere was fine but not worth that much.
I ordered a galette to go as well as a latte and macarons. While nothing tasted particularly bad, I was very confused and frustrated to cut a piece off of my galette that was drowning in bechamel sauce to discover that it did not contain a crepe, but instead two slices of bread. I don't know if they thought I was stupid and didn't know what a galette was or they couldn't be bothered to tell me they were making a substitution, but I was very angry and had no time to deal with it due to my flight leaving soon.
Came in here got the glass hookah which was cool but the LED light that’s giving it it’s glow died in about 5 minutes. For some reason my hookah took a lot longer than others for instance a couple sat down across from me 10 minutes after I had already been waiting and they got there’s in 5 minutes where I waited almost another 10 and when the owner or bouncer whoever he was says there’s a 75 minute time limit just kinda made you feel rushed. He never said it to the guys he was dapping up but who knows maybe friends get longer time? Anyway the whole experience was kinda trash because a server never approached me to ask if I wanted anything but then I see them go to the table across from me 3 different times that they were there. Overall not a great experience I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want a good hookah bar I’d go down the street to Myst, better service better quality etc.
Good Vibes but customer service slacks. Recommend getting TVs for Padres games/music videos.
A large group of my friends visited the lounge last night (December 28) to celebrate my friend's birthday. We were a large group, so of course we were expected to order. The waitress came to our table to take our order and we et her know that we weren't quite ready. After 5-10 minutes, the manager came over and let us know that "you are a large group and you can't sit at the table taking up room if you are not going to order". We left. You ruined a perfectly beautiful birthday celebration for my friend. We are all professional individuals so it wasnt a problem to buy drinks as you might have thought. We just were trying to decide what we wanted. As a manager, I know you want to make money for the business, but there it is NEVER an occasion when it is OK to be rude to the customer!
Terrible service. Bouncers are on a power trip. They have a lot of empty tables and will let groups of girls take your spot. I highly recommend going to Myst or Tabac instead. They won’t even let you take your food to go if you decide to leave. Extremely unpleasant. Would give 0-5 if possible.
