I've been here twice and it's always SPARKLING clean. One of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been to. The people who work there are also always friendly, the food is good, and the prices are super reasonable.
Excellent service and food! The chicken and beef shawarmas are really good. Best wraps in town! The pizza is a great price. Good atmosphere with private seating upstairs. Also the hot sauce is very unique and tastes great with everything. Salads, wraps and plates make this restaurant a great option for healthy eaters looking for great tasting food!
I went with my large family. We found the server and service to be prompt and friendly. The eating area and the bathroom was impeccably clean. The food was fresh and enjoyed by all of us. I will go again if I'm in the area
This place is a hidden gem behind IHOP. The food is so fresh, such great portions & wonderful flavors. This is a new favorite for our family & we'll make it a regular stop for meals. Thank you for the wonderful food.
Usually order takeout pizza from this place but I have done dine in a handful of times. The quality of the food is too notch. The service is like you would expect at any fast casual place. Atmosphere is meh. You go here for the great food, not the vibes.
Decided to stop by mystic grill, simply out of convenience. I had a short amount of time and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat in the area. I was pleasantly surprised, the atmosphere indoors is casual, set up for quick eating but would still certainly work for dining in. I ordered the vegetarian plate and it was so delicious and a large portion! My only complaint is that I asked for no cheese, and my food did come covered in cheese but I was able to eat around it and enjoyed everything. I will definitely be back and will be visiting their location in lamesa as it is closer to my home.
One of the best Arabian restaurants in San Diego. I highly recommend it! The portions are great for the price, delicious food, nice service and atmosphere.
Our first time eating here was very satisfying. The restaurant was clean and bright. We were greetedd and served promptly. I ordered the gyro salad, which had a very healthy portion of meat. I loved the tzatziki sauce and garlic sauce that came with the pita. My husband had the chicken Shwarma plate. The hummus was smooth and creamy dressed with herbs and olive oil. It was a great combination meal. We each took half of it home for leftovers. We will definitely be back.
OH MY GOD DO NOT SKIP the opportunity to eat here! This food is so good, so fresh, so authentic! The staff is generous and friendly, and they know what they're doing. I got the salmon plate, and my friend got the vegetarian plate. Both were packed full of flavor and variety, and the plates are large: do not worry about leaving hungry ! The only thing I will not re-order are the fries. They're crinkle fries, and they're seasoned, but the cooking method is pretty basic, like from home in an oven. Meh. But we ate so much so fast! I haven't stuffed my face like that since I was little so good!
I ordered takeout the other day, the staff was friendly, the food was really good and the value was also excellent. I highly recommend you give this place a try.
Food is very tasty. I have tried almost everything on their menu over the years. My favorite is kafta kebab platter
I like the food! Always fresh and tasty!
Everything about dining here or takeout is top notch. It smells amazing when you enter, and the staff is so nice and helpful when it comes to questions. We love Mystic Grill. Please never move.
This has been my go-to spot since they opened. The stuffed salmon is cooked to perfection. On delivery orders, the salmon is packaged in its own container, which I really appreciate, it keeps the sauce from soaking into the rice until I’m ready to combine them. The portions are generous and easy to share, and when I don’t, the leftovers are just as good the next day for lunch. Ordering through DoorDash was simple, and the delivery arrived earlier than expected after the order was placed.
Mystic Grill has an upstairs venue where we hosted my stepmom's retirement party! It was perfect for 40+ people, with our own bathrooms and everything!
Authentic great food, generous portion, fast service, and very reasonable prices. A down-to-earth Middle Eastern eatery with super friendly staff. Everything is halal here. Ordered Beef and Chicken shawarma wraps and pepperoni pizza. Food was ready in 10 mins. Beef shawarma was properly seasoned and closed to authentic taste. Pizza was super savory as well. They also give small plastic cups of ground garlic and a brown spicy sauce, which is a quite flavorful. They also give plenty of salads and bread so the portions are quite generous. Very highly recommended.
Good food. Tucked away at Balboa Crest shopping area. This place offers a good selection of Mediterranean food. Tried their chicken kebab and Beef Kofta, they usually serve generous portions of food and the quality is good. Also tried the meat pie, it was very delicious. It is a nice clean place so you can go wrong here.
Awesome spot! Great food, big portions. Gyro plate, chicken kabob plate, fries were all bomb and fresh and delicious. Remodeled interior is really nice and new, well done. Couldn't see upstairs patio due to private party. No beer or wine license is a bummer :( hope they get that someday. Welcome addition to the neighborhood! Will be back
Definitely a 5-star place! The taste, quantity, environment, and staff were all excellent. The owner was super friendly and made us feel like he was serving us at his own house! Been in a couple times now and each time is a 5-star experience, and you can’t say that about many places. Only complaint is that I don’t have a big enough stomach
This was our first restaurant in San Diego, and boy were we surprised! We're not a huge fan of middle eastern food, as we didn't have the best experience before, but this place was definitely the exception. The restaurant was clean, and the food was delicious. The owner Umar and his son Muhammed were excellent hosts—one of the best middle eastern restaurant we've been to. As this was our first time here, Umar suggested we try the mixed shawarma plate (chicken and beef) and beef kufta (ground) kabob as they didn't have the beef tikka (pieces) kabob. He even gave us a skewer of chicken tikka on the house to try. The beef kufta kabob was tender and juicy, but the shawarma was a little crispy and dry. The chicken tikka kabob was so good. The hot and garlic sauces were unique and great complements to the food. The hot sauce was our favorite. I loved the feta on the salad, and the hummus and pita portion on the platter. The hummus was so creamy, and the pita was a great scooper for it. Umar even gave us a couple of pieces of Harisa sweets on the house, which were soft and super moist. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and ambiance. The conversation with Umar and his son Muhammed was eye opening. We discussed and exchanged many fruitful ideas that hopefully we can continue discussing in the future. Also, the prices are super reasonable. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!
Visiting from Texas. Definitely one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I’ve been too! Amazing prices with huge portions. I will be back!
Fast service but definitely not fast food. Home taste all the way. Kabobs, schwarma and much more!!! 60+ options on the menu. I just love the lamb kabobs!

I had the trout served with house salad, hummus, basmati rice, and it came with pita bread. They are very generous an give you huge portions and food was great. I'll be back.
We ordered the chicken kebab, and man, it was absolutely delicious! The portion size was more than enough, and everything—from the aroma to the perfectly cooked chicken, fresh salad, and smoky BBQ onion—was just spot on. The service from the counter man was excellent, and the restaurant’s atmosphere is really cool and inviting. Definitely recommend this place!
Mystic grill is one of the best restaurants in all of San Diego. Everything I've ever ordered is delicious. Tonight I ordered the tilapia salad and it was top notch. Large portion of fish on top of fresh salad. Kids got gyro wraps. The hummus happens to be the best I've ever had. The cook has been here as long as I can remember and the girl at the front is really nice and helpful Stop on by. You won't regret it

I love the food here. It is well seasoned, well cooked and much better than other Mediterranean franchises around San Diego. This is always my to go place when I’m craving this type of food. I am only giving 4 starts because every time I go, there are only two cooks working, taking orders and receiving payment. They’re busy trying to handle everything by themselves and tending to customers in a timely manner. They work so hard and have an excellent customer service. It’s not fair they are doing the job of 4 or more people by themselves. Owner needs to be a little less greedy and hire more people to help out.
The food here is amazing and while they do have interior seating they are distancing the tables appropriately during the pandemic and keep doors open for airflow. The staff are cheerful and all wearing masks. I prefer takeout, and that works well here. The only persistent issue which keeps me from a perfect score is that there is almost always one little thing off: dipping sauce forgotten, pita not served, or a request not perfectly observed. The food is so delicious and the menu is so wonderfully diverse I overlook the fault here, but I would recommend double checking to make sure you got everything as ordered for total satisfaction.
A down-to-earth counter-service restaurant serving good Middleeast food at reasonable prices. The interior is like any other ordinary place with 2 large screen TVs. You order at the counter and they call you when your order is ready. You also are to put your own dishes away when done. However, they know how to grill salmon and meat so it’s tender and savory, with the tip of the salmon slightly crispy. Yum! They gave you small plastic cups of ground garlic and a brown sauce, which is a little spicy and has a lot of flavors. They also give plenty of salads and bread so you won’t walk out hungry.
The food is good, however, the portions for the price is a little high. The humus was my absolute favorite, and the salad was good as well. The meat, was not bad, but I’ve had better. Overall, I would definitely give them a second chance. Parking is a little tight, and there’s plenty of seating. Friendly staff, and good food. They also have pizza.
Finally tried this place out and i rather enjoyed it. I ordered the spinach pie (bit cold & bland) and the #64 - beef and chicken. The chicken was cooked to perfection but the beef was way overcooked. Staff were more than friendly and accommodating. Overall the place looks great to have a seat and enjoy some authentic food. Perhaps its better to come early when everything is more fresh though.
Very good middle eastern food. We got the Beef Kabob and Stuffed Salmon entrees. The Beef Kabob was very tasty and tender. The Stuffed Salmon was very tasty, however the crab stuffing seemed to be the imitation krab. So we will order a different entree next time. The sides of rice, salad, and pita bread were very good. The employees were very friendly.
Food portions, service and atmosphere were top notch. Food was fresh, good quality produce. Beef kufta and fish order was good. Hummus and garlic paste tasted store bought. Lamb shank was so-so. Flavors were not memorable, it was okay. A bit disappointed.
Good food. Good ambiance. Nice place to sit upstairs. Confirmed halal status by owner. We had their pasta dishes with white sauce. 4 stars because the white sauce was too watery. I told chef to make it a little thicker. Lets see if my suggestions is acted upon.
We went for dinner, ordered the chicken shawarma and chicken pie. The chicken in the shawarma was really tender and tasted good with garlic sauce, but the chicken pie topped it all, but one down side with the pie was the same filling as chicken shawarma. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The to-go order was well packed. A good place to enjoy delicious middle eastern food!!
I've been here twice now, and didn't post a review the first time as the experience was nice, but the food was underwhelming. Going a second time, much of my experience was the same, with one big exception. The staff in both cases was very friendly. I didn't love the salad, hummus, or rice. The meat was generally underwhelming too, and seemed to have kind of one note of spice to it (something kind of like clove, not 100% sure what it was). The big exception the second time was the stuffed salmon, which was incredible, probably the best salmon I have ever had.

I first tried this place about 1.5 years ago and went back roughly every 4 months and I was really impressed with the quality of food , but within the last 6-8 months it’s dropped significantly. The chicken kabab pieces are smaller and dry , the salad isnt as fresh or green , the hummus and rice are still good however. What really upset me was that it obvious they replaced the pizza dough with a little Caesars type of plastic or some type of synthetic dough. It upsetting because this is what the little ones opt for in my family or any family. It wasn’t until we got home that I realized how bad it was after having some left over pizza ; the dough was puffy, and when cooled down from warming it up , it felt like I was chewing on plastic. Please , charga a little more for the pizza if you have to, but don’t do this to the kids or anyone actually. These type of shortcuts or attempts to keep cost down or raise your profit , are a good way of losing customers. I really enjoy this place due its cleanliness and food preparation but I’m gonna be honest and say that if this doesn’t change , I’m no longer taking my family of 6 there any longer.
Food lacks taste. Ordered beef and chicken shawerma
We visited this restaurant to eat dinner. We were so excited driving 20 minutes to them. When we arrived the orders were ready but to go when i requested dine in , but my food were wrapped as to go.The food so disgusting bad made. I did order chicken with pasta. Pasta was smelling odd and so watery . I rather wait to eat something seems Appetizing. I lost the need of eating after my first bit. Won’t come back or recommend it.
Went for family birthday dinner at 630pm (they advertise close at 9pm) on Sunday showed up with 6 people to a locked door and the owner waiving me away through the window.
