First time but definitely not our last! Excellent crispy, thin crust pizza. I ordered the "Mobster". Absolutely perfect!! We shared the daily special which is more than enough food. Slices are big.
Being from New York, we were looking for an authentic New York pizza place. I searched for a recommendations that had been on the Food Network and found this location. If there was a six review to give them, I would give them for sure a 5+ plus plus. My fiancé was from California, but I’ve never been to this location. He said this was the best pizza that he’s ever had in his entire life. They offer pizza by the slice, which allows you to try a variety of different types of pizza without committing to a whole pie. This was awesome because we ended up trying six different slices of pizza and we were completely in heaven. We also took Pizza home with us to Arizona and wish we had ordered more. Bruce and Lady 👛 face provided awesome service and were extremely friendly. We also love that they were very dog friendly and allowed our little golden doodle to happily sit under the table and smell her pizza. If you’re in the area we highly recommend say hi to the amazing team there too.
Holy cow this has to be my favorite pizza place in San Diego. Fast ordering and great options to select from. I go out of my way to eat here. So simple to just run and and grab a bite. Let alone pricing is extremely competitive.
LOVED Luigi's!!! If i could give 10 STARS I would. The Golden Hill location has an AMAZING front counter girl named Coco, and she was absolutely the highlight of our day! She took our order promptly, heated our pizza to crisp perfection and was playing the BEST music. Other pizza places we've been have rough looking dudes who don't smile serving us, but it was a pleasure to have Coco serve us our pizza and beer! We will definitely be back because of her.
Loved this joint! Saw it on Drive Ins Diners and Dives and was by it and hungry so we stopped in. Very chill vibe and great NY style slices, they had a special for two slices and a drink for $11.25 and it was the perfect amount of food. The garlic knots were tasty and the margherita slice was my favorite!
A divey local feeling pizza place. The cashier was a pleasant and engaged women who felt like she had a personal stake in the business. An owner or manager I'd guess and the quality of service reflected it. Her recommendations of beer, speciality slice, and price special were all great. Pizza by the slice in a variety of specials. I got the "crime scene" and the bites of melted ricotta cheese we're downright heavenly. The crust is that classic thin crust, nice crisp, light char. Had two slices and while satisfied, I felt like I could happily crush 2 more it was soo good. Next time I'm in SD, I'll be back.
Quality NY-style pizza with the obnoxious “your presence is annoying” attitude to match. The girls working there need to get over themselves but it works because the service is terse and efficient. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Understandable why it’s so popular. Nice outdoor patio, too.

The pizza is always very good. One of our regular spots for sure. There is no parking unfortunately but we can usually find a spot.
This was the closest thing to a legit NYC pizza slice I have found in San Diego. Still many more places to go try all over SoCal.\n\nGreat customer service with a smile. ambiance was rustic & vinta…
D@mn good pizza! Quick service, tasty food, friendly staff. Casual indoor seating, plenty of outdoor seating. The price is fantastic too. I would eat here again.
Speed of service and food quality are all on point. The lunch deal are awesome and dining area is always very clean.
Great atmosphere. Great pizza. What are you waiting for? Sitting on the patio smelling the fresh flowers from the shop next door.
The 25th St Luigi's is the best pizza spot in San Diego, although I also love the IB location. I try all the joints around SD, but I always come back to Pizzaria Luigi's.

After a failed attempt to find parking for a place to eat in Little Italy, we bailed and decided to find a good pizza instead. This place had good reviews (and was on Triple D), so we went for it,…
The pizza by the slice was fantastic, lots of variety and different specials. Really enjoyed the vegetarian option and also had the hot honey pepperoni pan crust which had a very nice fluffy crispy crust that resembles a foccacia. Prices were good for the specials!
I've been to Pizzeria Luigi's twice now, My cousin works close by. There's no parking usually on the street because it's a busy street so I parked in a little parking lot kind of behind to the side of it I don't know if it belong to the dragonfly place back there or not but I parked there and prayed to not get towed. I didn't get towed, thank the Gods... Anyway, when I walled in there was a woman at the cash register helping customers, but for some reason she walked away and when it was my turn some guy was there to help me. He was a little rude maybe rushed I'm not quite sure I wasn't sure what I wanted exactly and he was just kind of like pushy like he didn't like the fact that he had to wait. I'm sure he was just busy and then a line began to form behind me cuz it's a pretty busy place. So I ordered, I attempted to order two of the lasagna plates, that's what my cousin wanted, but it was $36 and she only gave me $30 for lunch lol, so I got just a slice of pepperoni pizza because I was rushed. They do have a lot of choices of types of Pizza in a display case next to the register. I couldn't even tell you what they were, because I didn't get a chance to look them and they're not labeled unfortunately. Some had a chunk of white cheese with maybe spinach, some had squiggly red sauce, there was pepperoni and only cheese. I think there's were 9 types... They also had two types on top of the display case for some reason. The pizza was all thin crust, I think. They all looked dry or like they had been there for a little bit. They cook the lasagna fresh I believe because it took 20 minutes. Unfortunately I don't know how the lasagna tasted, I didn't eat it and my cousin didn't tell me. They only have one size drink, I don't know how much it was, but it was like a kids small. Maybe 8oz. Is free refills at the soda fountain machine while you are dining in, so that's good, but I was to go, and I don't think that drink would have lasted her entire meal. The guy at the cash register would yell out orders when they were done by pizza slices, 2 slice, 5 slice, 3 slice... It took people a while to pick up their order probably unsure that it was theirs.... They have outside seating in the back as well as a few tables inside and a public customer restroom. The worker was a bit friendlier by the time he gave me my order. But their to go orders are packaged as the slice of pizza on a paper plate with a thin white paper over it, maybe parchment paper, and in a brown paper bag, the lasagna was in a little to go dish, also in a brown paper bag. I couldn't hold the paper bags the way you supposed to hold paper bags because then the food would have been sideways in the bag and containers. It was kind of difficult to carry out, for some reason the pizza slice didn't sit on top of the lasagna container very well, you kept slipping off and I dropped my pizza slice twice, thankfully still in the bag. I live about 20 minutes max away from the pizza place, by the time I got home the pizza was cold, which I don't blame them for, I warmed it up. It just tasted like cardboard and like it had been cools maybe that morning. I ordered at around 7:45pm. I'll probably eat here again as it's the closest place to my cousin's work when I go to have lunch with her, but I'd rather go somewhere else. I want to mention it was better the first time around so maybe it's just the day I went or I don't know... At the moment I wouldn't recommend this place as a first choice, but it is a very popular pizzeria. Next time I eat here I will update my review hopefully it will be better.
The pizza was really good (the tomato sauce was delicious). However, the drinks were a letdown. They didn’t have any syrup, so all the flavors just tasted like plain water. I was really craving a cherry Coke, and it ended up tasting like nothing but water. We also ordered some garlic bread, and I had high expectations because they looked great, but when we tried them, they just tasted like burnt garlic. That said, the pizza itself was very tasty and the service was good. What I didn’t like at all was how hot it was inside. The place was enclosed, the sun was hitting us directly, and there was no ventilation — it was uncomfortably warm. So that part was a big downside for me, but again, the food was good overall.
Pizzeria Luigi was recommended by a friend, and it was a solid NY-style pizza stop. We ordered a pie with half White Girl and half Capone. We also got two slices of cheese pizza. Both the White Girl and Capone were fantastic, but the White Girl is definitely more memorable. It's got a perfect kick to it (not very hot, but great flavor). The employees were incredibly helpful and kind. They threw in some garlic knots, which were greatly appreciated and tasted good. We ultimately ordered based on their recommendations, which provided us with a good experience overall. If you're a tourist (which we were), pay close attention to your GPS, especially at night. We got a bit turned around in some neighborhoods and struggled making it back to the freeway.

I love their crime scene pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza. The service is quick and easy. I will say that they are a bit expensive but the vibe of the place screams rock and roll but I like it.

4 sure NY style, also friendly and clean, great parking too. A keeper. Easy on the wallet, real nice people too.
Usually get slices of pizza which are great! This time decided to do the chicken parm and eggplant parm sandwiches. Very disappointing. Chicken was super dry and tough. Eggplant was so minimal. There was one piece of eggplant to go on each half of the sandwich. It’s a pretty expensive sandwich for such minimal food. Just stick with the pizza.
We came here from Orange County to try the pizza. Two months ago we had Bronx Pizza, and since this place was being hyped by some YouTube and Instagram influencers, we decided to give it a shot. We ordered four different slices to cover the major types. Honestly, we were not impressed by the taste. The crust was crunchy with good texture, but flavor-wise there was nothing special to make it stand out as great pizza. Giving three stars feels generous! If this was your neighborhood pizza shop, it might be worth stopping by once in a while. But driving a long distance to try the so-called “best pizza in San Diego or SoCal”? Come on… definitely not worth the hype!
First time here. I loved their wide variety of pizzas with thin crusts, but I wasn't too thrilled with the reheated outcome. While they have different types of specialty pizzas, it didn't taste as great reheated. I bought my pizza by the slice of premade pizzas. Their meatball & marinara and Buffalo Chicken were somewhat tasty, but again, I feel the reheating took some of that flavor away. Perhaps I'll order a whole pizza next time, made to order, to give it another shot.
Pizza was great! But the staff isn’t it. We came in here ordered slices of pizza and 3 breadsticks… They forgot to charge us 1 breadstick and made it seem like it was our fault. The attitude is literally not necessary.
The pizza is so overrated. Dominos is better tbh and so yeah I'm chill off this spot take y'all chance tho

This guy is a jerk. Go to other pizzeria on the next block. Denied Services with a lousy welcoming , disrespectful attitude, running his mouth like a bad seed and condescending from the moment we walked in. This dude wouldn’t last two weeks working for me, and shouldn’t even be taking a part in any food handling business. He might be selling this New York slice, but we were the only ones at the store to catch a Brooklyn Home Pizza at the time. So there was no room for more attitude but mine. All we asked for was a box. A pizza box. they have them all over the shelf. It was like a flipped switch that got him. So right there at the moment instantly, he decided to cancel the order just like that. $30 loss. Started arguing me with a rude tone saying loud “NO! I’m giving you a bag.!” As in… take it or leave it and keep moving yo. Now you tell me son, how am I supposed to fit or put 4 slices in a bag? Is it a cardboard bag with bins and separate levels? or am I just supposed to stack ‘em one on top of another and let it squish stick and ruin. I don’t get it. What a jerk.
Honestly super disappointed used to live golden hills when this first opened and the pizza was really good. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza ig was dry hardly and sauce cheese or pepperoni. I can't believe I paid $27 for that would have been better off ordering papa John's. I only ordered here because woodstock where I usually get pizza was closed. Called and spoke to the manager who blew me off. How unprofessional. Felt like I wasted my time calling. Had zero concern.
Was my favorite place to get a cheese pizza (best NY style pizza in San Diego). Menu says $20 for a regular cheese pizza. Unfortunately, I found out when I went to pick it up that the price has changed but they hadn't updated the menus. They now charge $27 for a regular cheese pizza. I'll be going elsewhere from now on.
Be cautious, u may get mistreatment by this establishment. I ordered one pizza paid almost $50 tipped and was generous to be affronted by a disappointing pizza experience. One side of the pizza was supposed to be pepperoni it had three on each slice, the other side was fresh prince with the addition of pepperonies it had none. $50 a tip and a drive back to get a refund. And your garlic knotts are undesirable. They were hard and at least a day old. This is the second go with this pizza place the first time the dough was undercooked in the middle and the pizza wasn't half and half like I asked. I live downtown and could have pizza anywhere was shameful. A dish of irritation and on the phone alijandra was rude and under professional was glad I was going through the motions instead of honoring the customer and their request. Coco took the order also and did the refund was supposed to receive 18 percent tip but did everything to no secure it or a great customer that gave you more than one shot! Also card transactions that are refunded take three days for you to receive as informed by Coco! Smh.
The food was good but the counter girl named Julie has the worst attitude. She yelled at me and snapped at me in front of other customers. Not to mention she treats the other staff belittling in front of customers. I spent $130 bucks here and will never return due to the service. I work with corporations around the area and will definitely spread the word. Sad to see a small establishment could suffer from having the wrong staff representing them. She should go work at a bar at night, that might be more suitable for her aggressive behavior.
