Opinions de S3 Coffee Bar San Diego
My favorite coffee shop ever! No question! Every drink is so pretty and aesthetic 💖. Looks amazing, tastes even better, every single time.10/10 💕
Went in for a quick coffee break and ended up staying a bit longer than planned. The place has a relaxed feel, not too loud, and it was easy to find a seat. I ordered a medium latte and a pastry, both were solid and tasted fresh. Nothing over the top, just done right. The barista was polite and didn’t rush anyone even though there was a small line. Prices felt fair for the area. It’s the kind of coffee shop you’d come back to when you want something consistent and low key, not trying too hard but still doing a good job.
Came on a weekend, during peak time, it was very busy but we were still able to get a table! Food and drinks were delicious 😋 I'm not too into pumpkin but still wanted to try the pumpkin bagel, I was relieved it wasn't pumpkin flavored but just pumpkin shaped and cinnamon sugar cream cheese. We added prosciutto to our avocado toast! I believe I got a simple iced mocha and my hubs got a fancy Go Nuts Banana blend. But the empanadas were banging! He loved that the most. Would definitely come again!
I come here often to study and grab a quick bite. The staff is super nice and welcoming, they’re all super attentive and make sure to give you patience. The food is really good too, I’ve tried their pesto chicken sandwhich and it was really great. The atmosphere of the place is super nice and I love their choice of music always! Definitely recommend this place to get ur work done while enjoying a nice cafe.
LOVEDDD thissssss. I had the pumpkin cookie cold brew which omg so good. Perfectly sweet & strong- coming from someone who likes strong coffee. I also had the pumpkin bagel which mmm super cute but it was kind of doughy hard. My dad got it too and his was toasted better so he said it tasted better that way.
S3 Coffee Bar is a cute coffee bar off the Mission Gorge Road, with ample seating inside and a friendly and attentive staff. There is indoor seating as well as several seats outside facing the road, where we sat. I ordered a strawberry drink with two shots of espresso, and this was quite unique and unexpected, different from other places I typically get at coffee places. I did not use the internet so can't comment on that, but also noted there is a parking lot that was convenient on a Sunday morning.
I love all their variations in matcha lattes. But I also love their lavender latte. The staff are very friendly and the place has a fun atmosphere inside. There are places/booth if you wanna study with friends including computer plugs. The drive thru is a nice feature too. I haven't tried it yet but they also serve wine on top of their cafe selection. For food, I highly recommend their grilled cheese and tomato soup though. So good.
This coffee shop is cozy with beautiful design and decoration. I ordered a latte, and it’s a perfect spot to relax or get work done. My coffee got cold while I was working, and they kindly brought me a fresh one without hesitation. Their care and attention to detail really stood out. I enjoyed my time there and will definitely be visiting more often!
This is a super adorable and Chic coffee shop! The outside appearance is deceiving, don't be fooled inside is very beautiful and nice! They have a cute black and white section that looks like it's a cartoon drawing. It is only a section of the whole shop, and is quite busy when we were there. But the whole place is still really adorable. Definitely worth the visit. I also love my drink, I ordered a dirty chai 😍
This is a very cute space to sip a coffee or have a brunch alone or with friends. The interior design is beautiful and trendy. I had a house made almond milk ceremonial matcha latter, it was very nice, I loved it. The staff is sweet and helpful. I definitely recommend this cute spot!
Heard about this coffee shop through social media & happened to be in the neighborhood to give it a shot! Super cute & visually appealing shop. As everyone has already mentioned, there’s so much natural sun light with the large sky lights , there’s lots of different unique seating and decorations which I love! You can sit outdoors , & they have a sweet canopy covering so you get shade. The decorations & details are nice and set it apart from other coffee shops in my opinion. For me it’s all about the details. Some other highlights ; the service was great! Everyone was sweet. I ordered a dirty chai and Avocado toast which was reasonably priced. You’d pay close to the same at most coffee shops that provide similar menu options. My order came out quick despite the place being full. It was lively yet relaxing atmosphere. Loved it & would definitely come again.
I liked this place. Interesting design. But I would like to see a bigger selection of desserts. I visited this place again and tried a matcha latte. On the plus side, you can order a matcha that is not sweet. But it seems that it was not quite properly prepared. However, the taste is quite good and the right temperature. I recommend this place.
The service was nice while being a bit slow. There was a nice bright, big open room to sit and have your drink but the metal chairs are really uncomfortable. The Vietnamese coffee was delicious. My real problem with my experience here was the food. For over $5 the chicken empanadas were tiny, dry and tasted like unmixed flour. It was gross and I was expecting something at least the size of a bagel.
My partner and I ordered this on Doordash because she wanted to try the Matcha Latte. Overall we ordered a regular Mexican Mocha, a regular Matcha Latte, Avocado Toast and Acai Bowl. The Matcha Latte Queen said the Matcha Latte was one of the better ones in downtown but she would not get it again. The Mexican Mocha was nice as well as the food. Solid spot.
The place was packed and I had about 10 people ahead of me in line before 9am on a Tuesday!!! Crazy. It’s been a good 3-4 years since I last visited, wanted to try out the viral pumpkin bagel. I thought it was tasty! The cream cheese is a slightly sweet pumpkin flavor. I just wish the bagel was toasted a little, not just warmed. I also ordered an Americano since I know how pricey and bland the other drinks can be (from past experience). It was strong and solid. There was a tiny hair in it when i received it at first, but it was fixed with a new fresh one, with no issue. I want to go back and give one of their lattes another chance, I hope they are better now than they were 3 years ago
Great afternoon coffee spot to just hangout, Internet surf, get some school or work done. Enjoyed the mocha Mexican coffee and the lavender vanilla latte. Both coffee were rich in flavor and texture. Each so down to the end was full. I also had the ginger scone which was wanted and tasted amazing with a bit so overpowering of ginger.
Went here over the weekend but it’s not the best coffee spot. Right now we understand it’s the hype for the pumpkin bagels but the coffee was not the best. We got two rose honey lattes that tasted nothing like rose and had too much steamed milk. We weren’t a fan that lunch was served only until a specific time and even then almost $10 for a grilled cheese seemed crazy. It’s an OK spot but the parking isn’t the best either. We parked in the small lot and it took us almost 15min to get out because the drive through line goes into the parking spaces, they should work on that. Lots of college kids too just studying.
A little more effort put into the preparation of my order would’ve been greatly appreciated. The Acai bowl looks like they threw everything into the container and said, “Here, damn”. The Vietnamese coffee tastes SO bad too. Straight up coffee grains.
Eh, disappointing they decided partly through the day they didn't want to do for here cups anymore(what they're known for) because of the "dishwasher". How about... Handwashing? Oh.. I guess not... only the regulars get a for here cup? And you still do "for here" food? Pretty contradictory and really disappointing. First world problems... am I right?
We had a meeting here but we couldn't hear each other because they refused to turn down the loud music. This place is not quiet. The chicks behind the counter rolled their eyes and laughed at customers after interacting. They seemed VERY childish. I would NOT return here. The chairs were the most UNCOMFORTABLE I've ever sat in. My sciatica nerve hurt bad for the next two days. NEVER AGAIN.
Today I went through the drive-thru and ordered an Iced Tiramisu Latte. The employee took my order and I paid. When I got to the window to pick it up, she told me they didn’t have the tiramisu and had made me a Pink Drink instead. It was very disappointing. If an item is unavailable, the customer should be informed before taking payment and should be asked whether they want a replacement or a refund. Instead, I was given a drink I didn’t order and only then told my original order wasn’t available. Because of this experience, I won’t be coming back to this café.
Liars. We stopped by to try the viral pumpkin spice latte served in a mini pumpkin, we saw someone before us walk out with one and it made us believe that they had them. When we went to order it, the barista told us that they weren’t doing them and that they’re only doing them on the days they’re posted on the board. Straight up lied to our faces.
