I ordered an almond milk tea with boba and it was delicious! 🧋 The place has a very cute and cozy interior, great prices, and a friendly staff member who helped me choose the perfect drink. I had a great experience and highly recommend this spot!
the boba is really yummy! however, the self order kiosk was glitching (probably my fault) and im pretty sure it doesnt support apple pay (i probably did it wrong). some creepy guy on the way was staring at me really weirdly but beyond that lovely location and interior.
Really yummy boba! A little more on the pricy side but they are really specific with their drinks! Upon ordering, must indicate how much ice, sugar, if you want just boba or another sort or jelly I believe and the kind of milk as well. I have only tried the Kung Fu Tea which I loved. There is also an app where it makes ordering very easy to just go and pick up. According to a friend who always goes, the time given in which it will be ready is usually always it, however I went several minutes before, maybe around 5 ish and it was just ready as I walked in.
Went to this new location's soft opening today, using the order ahead Kung Fu Tea app, and it was truly flawless! Easy app, rewards, full menu and exact estimated pickup time. I ordered the Cocoa Creama with boba and 0% sweetness level, and they got it perfectly. I was able to pickup my order with total efficiency and super friendly and accurate service. The drink is delicious!
I’m a super lover with milk tea 🧋. As much as a American like coffee. How can I say. Pretty much 95% Asia love milk tea 😆 I lived Bay Area over 10 years. There definitely have great great milk tea around where you live. Just moved San Diego recently. Tried milk tea everywhere I can find. So far Kung Fu tea definitely Top one ☝️ in San Diego. Tea test super strong and mix with fresh milk is just super smooth. Also the Boba also made exactly just right super Q. Drink milk tea with Donuts prefect match xoxo
We ordered the best selling milk tea with boba and winter melon milk tea. I personally prefer winter melon bc it’s much more densely flavored. Really enjoyed the experience
We ordered the rosehip and winter melon milk tea. They tasted so good. The service was also very good. Would definitely recommend this place.
Really fast service! First time visiting this location and was hesitant because of a rather long line upon arrival... however, it went really quickly. Despite a line out the door, we placed our order in less than five minutes and then waited about the same amount of time for the teas to be ready. The menu is very large with options and prices are literally 50% of other brands (looking straight at you Bubble-Up!). You can get adjusted sugar and ice levels which is a really nice feature. 10/10 would go again.
I'm so happy there's a boba tea place in Carmel Mountain Ranch area coz it's the first and only. We love their different boba drinks and the interior decor is exquisite.
Saw the super long line the other day and decided to stop by. Ordered the grapefruit tea and Rosehip lemonade. The taste is just “ok”. Perhaps I need to play around with the sweetness level. The boba serving was a tad light compared to other boba places. Branding on the cups is cool. I’d come back and try something else.
Closest boba place to my house currently. They have so many options to choose from like many other places, I really like the Honey Oolong Tea w/ Boba. Wife likes the Honey Melon and Oreo Flavors. Atmosphere is nice, not many places to sit but is comfortable, the temperature can be really warm sometimes (no idea why). Overall a solid boba place.
it’s good, i get boba here when i go to the plaza with my friend. it’s okay but not the best i’ve had, sometimes it leaves kinda a weird bitter taste in your mouth but other times it’s great. kind of a hit or miss with this place, but i will continue getting boba from here because most of the time it’s great. i recommend the kung fu milk tea with tapioca pearls, 100% sugar if you like it sweet.
PSA: check your order clearly before you leave. Ordering online was quick and easy. However, didn't realize until I got home that they messed up my order for Thai Milk Tea, this is clearly a regular milk tea, Thai Milk Tea is more orangey in color. Craving not satisfied 😩
Initially gave 2 stars 11 months ago shortly after they opened. 11 months later, still 2 stars. This place is so disorganized. The drinks are ok but I can’t stand ordering here. Unfortunately there isn’t another nearby option. First, don’t bother ordering through the app. I used it 4 times this past week and not once was my drink ready when I arrived regardless if I waited the estimated 25 minutes. All 4 times they didn’t start making my drink until I got there and checked in. Check in to pick up a mobile order? What’s the point? Secondly, look at the photo. Can you imagine a more complicated “system”? Unlike every other restaurant and food establishment in the strip mall, KF is the only one that still hasn’t fully opened. People looking at the menus, people waiting to order, people checking-in for mobile orders, and people waiting for their drinks are all bunched together in a little corral in front. New people walking up have no clue where to go. If they want to help us avoid contact, they need to open their doors so we can distance ourselves inside and outside. Can you imagine how stupid Starbucks would look if they used this system? Lastly, the "smoothies" aren't smooth at all. They always end up with chunks of ice at the bottom. This place needs to learn something from Starbucks. Place an order, pick it up - inside - and go. If my drink is “melted” before I get there, that’s my problem. I’ll get there sooner next time.
I’ve never had an unpleasant experience with this location since their grand opening, until today. I had went in with some friends while the shop was fairly empty, and I ordered an “Oreo Slush”, when my order number was called I was served an “Oreo Wow”. When I asked the teenage girl behind the counter if she could fix my order, she was extremely unwelcoming and told me that she would have to charge me for a second drink. After asking her why I should pay again and that I was also charged extra for the incorrect drink, she unenthusiastically told me that she would remake my order. When I finally received my drink after about 15 minutes, it looked like it was made in a hurry and there wasn’t any Oreo bits or drizzle in it. Regardless, I told the employee, “Thank you.” But she proceeded to ignore me and walk to the back so she could loudly chat with her coworkers. Overall, I believe that this establishment needs to work on improving their coordination and customer service within their employees, because the attitude being reciprocated is unsatisfactory.
I love kung fu tea but I’ve had couple bad experiences with them so I’m gonna write a review and hopefully they see this and do something about these issues. It’s been at least 4,5 times that I ordered a drink and I always get boba ( it says it on the receipt and on the sticker on the drink) and they forget to add any boba to my drink. If I wanted plain juice or a milkshake I would not pay 8$ for it I would go get it for much cheaper from somewhere else. And most times that this has happened I have not had any time to go back and ask them to fix it. So at this point they owe me a lot of boba. One time they completely forgot to even make my drink. Today I ordered with doordash because I really wanted boba and again they forgot to put any boba in my drink 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Doordash offered 2$ of credit and that’s not really gonna fix the fact that I’m sitting here drinking plane milkshake that I didn’t order. At first I thought to myself no way they forgot again but I drank a quarter of it and still no boba. It’s really annoying to pay a delivery fee, tip and extra fees on doordash and get no boba. The only reason I ordered this was for the boba.
Food: 1/5 Service and Setting: 3/5 Value: 3/5 I haven’t had bad boba in a while but dang Kung Fu Tea in Carmel Mountain had to change that. I think that the issues I had here are unique to this location because I’ve never had a problem with the one in Convoy. Service is always busy and the staff always seems extremely rushed. I was so excited a couple years ago to get a “real” boba place in the neighborhood but they surely fell flat. Cocoa Cream Wow Cap with Milk Cap: 1/5 I asked for a brown sugar black tea that I saw when I walked in and the cashier told me that they only had like a milk only version so I got that instead. As I walked out, I did see it again and realized she played me lol. The first very odd thing was that the boba was very hot. I know most places keep their boba warm so it doesn’t seize up, but this was like almost boiling and made my whole drink lukewarm. The boba itself was a true felony. You would think that the boba would be soft and fresh since it was so hot, but mixed in with slightly overcooked pieces were balls that were either too old or undercooked. The center of the boba were like pebbles/uncooked pasta so I couldn’t even finish the drink. The milk cap was okay though, slightly too runny for my taste. I do not recommend.
The matcha series was a disappointment. This specific location has given me and my friend a small amount of matcha cream consistently for the past three times. we were unsatisfied and told the workers, and they said there was nothing they could do about it. highly do not reccomend this location
Their drinks are more consistent when the owner makes it. Other times it’s very inconsistent. Ordered a drink with little sugar today, they made it very sweet. Also didn't taste like tea much, mostly sugared water. Nov 2 - Orange green tea tastes like water down orange juice these days. The owner was nice to talk to, but their staff continues to put water in the drink, making the drink tasting very bland. I go here almost everyday, but it's becoming like starbucks, where getting the drink made right, it's like winning the lottery. Boba shops in Asia, the drinks tastes the same every time. Here in the states the staff just wing it. You never know if your drink will turn out to be good or not. And it costs three times more. Won't be returning much.
Long wait time. I canceled the order but didn't receive refund. Phone not answered. Emailed not replied. Seems like the owner doesn't care about the customer service at all. UPDATE: refund received. But, please don't lie in your response. I was there till 3:20 and the empty cups with my name tags were still here on the working counter. How did I know? I asked the girl who made the tea and she showed me that I was the 4st in that line. What was why I requested a refund and the girl gave me a piece of paper with your email address on it. The girl is good and I don't have any complaint about her personally. I appreciate your refund and was actually considering deleting the review until I saw this reply. All right I think I can leave it here. The bottom line is, DO NOT LIE.
