Opinions de Zab Linda San Diego
Went straight here after arriving from San Francisco, and we were super hungry. This place delivered, for sure. Super, super friendly staff and attentive customer service. On the spicier side, but in a good and yummy way.. So if you think of medium spicy, it's more like hot spicy. Good hearty portions, amazing food and delicious. Having imitation mock dick as an affordable options was much appreciated. The green bean dish with mock duck was so good with lots of chillies oil and they were generous on the duck. So good ! We cleaned out our plates. Definitely will be back next time visiting San Diego. CC accepted
From time to time, I find myself craving Thai food because it adds a unique flavor to my everyday meals. I really enjoyed their crab fried rice and tom yum soup. The combination of crab meat and fried rice is hard to fault, and the tom yum soup is wonderfully appetizing. They offer a wide range of spice levels, so even if you can’t handle spicy food, there’s nothing to worry about.
We were seated right away and the interior had beautiful decorations. We ordered Tom Yum, Drunken Noodles, spring rolls, and Thai tea with boba. The Drunken Noodles were flavorful and the noodles and vegetables were nicely crisp yet tender. The Thai tea was not very sweet and did not have a strong tea flavor, and the boba was a bit hard. The spring rolls were fairly standard and good, and pair nicely with the peanut and sweet and sour sauce. The Tom Yum was very flavorful yet a bit too sore and could have used some more sweetness. But it hit the spot on a cold, rainy day.
First (of many) visit to Zab Linda at the recommendation of a coworker - definitely worth it! We got the Tom Kha soup, the Spicy Basil with Deep Fried Pork Belly, the Spicy Eggplant, and the Spicy Naked Shrimp - our server was very accommodating and understood our lack of tolerance for spicy food so got us Level 1 spice…which was perfect for us! We’ll definitely be here again!
Excellent service with delicious food in a cozy environment with lots of free parking. Menu offers nice variety of selections with photos throughout. Dishes arrive at the table looking just like the photo in the menu (!), including the large portions. Wonderful. Ready to visit again and sample more options. Pleasant and impressive.
Great Thai food! My wife grew up in San Diego and used to come here before the new name and owners. We were sad when the transition happened a few years back as we felt the quality declined and the prices increased. However, now that the world is expensive, the value proposition doesn't seem bad! Food was excellent and the service was good. Can't wait to come back and explore the menu.
Great atmosphere, servers are helpful helping understanding the menu. Food taste is so great! I totally recommend, great a casual date or be with friends
I just moved to Linda Vista and this restaurant is two minutes from our house. I got the fresh spring rolls and the short spare ribs soup. Everything is so so fresh. My favorite part is the decor and the staff, everyone has been really friendly
I finally got to try @zablinda one of the authentic Thai restaurant, I can easily say that i loved the vibe. i loved everything we ordered. That three flavored fish is completely another story, and my chicken yellow curry dish was way better than my expectation. Highly recommended to enjoy this deliciousness.
Ordered Thai ice tea, fresh spring rolls, Beef Pad see ew, and chicken tom kha soup. Everything came out really quick and tasted very good!
It has a cozy ambiance, and a good selection of food. My favorites were the crab fried rice and pork neck! Highly recommend :) (Pictures I included are the crab fried rice & fried pork ribs)
This one counts as one of the top restaurants of my life. Dishes are soooo good. The environment is clean and comfy. I love it so much.
Highly recommended! This is out first time to come this Thai restaurant and every dishes were good! You will never regret to come here!
As a Thai living in Thailand visiting San Diego... I say this feels like decent and authentic Thai food like what we get from home.
Delicious food and great service! The Pad Thai and Panang Curry were packed with flavor, and the Thai iced tee was perfect. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff — highly recommend!
had a wonderful experience at this Thai restaurant! The food was delicious and full of flavor — the fried rice with chicken, pineapple, and cashews was especially tasty, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and crunch. The fried appetizers were crispy and well-seasoned, and everything came out fresh and hot.
Great food made fresh also. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.Get some.

Ordered Koy Nua, i love how well the beef goes well with the garlic and the lime bringing a bright and savory note to the beef. Definitely pair it with the crab fried rice if you prefer a slightly heavier portion.

This Thai restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff who genuinely care about your dining experience. The food is outstanding fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with authentic Thai spices. Every dish is beautifully presented, and you can really taste the quality and care put into the cooking. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and service is prompt without feeling rushed. Whether you’re a fan of classic Thai dishes or trying something new, this place delivers every time. Highly recommended, and definitely a spot I’ll be returning to!
I’ve been there twice. On the first visit, we ordered many dishes to share with friends, and most of them were great. The raw shrimp was very spicy, but still enjoyable if you like heat. However, when we went back to try the boat noodles and curry, they weren’t as good as the first time. It’s a good restaurant overall.
Large portion, good taste. Only dissatisfaction is the tap water, I always don’t understand why restaurants can’t serve filtered tap water. I didn’t drink any water because it tasted bad.
The decore is beautiful and the waitress was very helpful and nice! But they don’t do vegan Thai tea they said they don’t have coconut milk sad I left a good review then they said they can’t give me Thai tea with court milk.
I came here because I saw good reviews, but my experience was extremely disappointing. The first thing I noticed was a QR code offering free Thai tea in exchange for a good review, which already felt questionable. I was with someone who had never been to a Thai restaurant in the U.S. and wanted tom yum soup. When she politely asked what was in it, the waitress rudely said, “Look at the menu.” One of the spoons they brought us was dirty, so I had to ask for a replacement. We were never given extra napkins, and nobody checked on us once to ask how the food was or if we needed anything until the very end when the waitress came and asked if we need anything. I asked for a check. Instead of a check, the waitress brought a table side payment device. I tapped my card and it asked me to tip. The tip screen was confusing — I typed in 15 thinking it meant 15%, but it actually added $15. I was never given a receipt, but the bill was unusually high so I specifically asked for a receipt, which confirmed my misunderstanding. I explained this to the waitress, and she went to the counter with my receipt and asked me to calculate 15%. I told her I didn’t have a calculator, and she responded with, “Do you not have a phone?” She then cursed at me in Thai, assuming I wouldn’t understand, but unfortunately I do understand the curse words. I told her I didn’t want to leave 15%, but 10% instead. She handed me the receipt and told me never to come back. I still tipped 10% after being spoken to like that. Overall, this was a rude and humiliating experience just for trying to enjoy a meal. I will not be returning.
