We had a large gathering for Pride on June 29, 2024. We ordered chicken and vegetable biryani for around 250 people and Mr. Ajid the owner was beyond wonderful with giving a fair price, customizing the spice level and also delivering the pots to the event. The biryani was delicious and everyone at the gathering enjoyed it where I had several people ask me where was it from since they want their next biryani order from there.

I ordered the Chicken Thali with chicken tikka masala and it was the most delicious rich gravy I've ever eaten. the service is good and the people are friendly. i came back to try the chicken tikka masala pizza and it was great. it was a huge slice for 5 bucks n the flavors were bomb.

We went here late night based on some reviews we read. We were extremely impressed with the quantity and quality of the food and a very good price. If you want excellent authentic Indian/Pakistani food, then this is the place to go. The chili cheese Nan bread was outstanding, the butter chicken, lentils and curry chicken. I went to a place nearby a few weeks ago, but this place blows the pants of the other one. Shaheer, the owner's son, has some of the best customer service I have seen in a restaurant setting in many years. Super friendly and eager to please. I cannot wait to return!

update (2025): still my go-to for some chicken tandoori, naan, saag paneer, CTM, vindaloo - all the hits! ____ My absolute go-to for CTM, naan and basically anything they have on their menu. The main guy, Aijaz and his son Sahir are great, and the wife who is behind the scenes making all the curry bases! While it's nothing fancy inside, my friends and I go here practically every wednesday.. byob, catch up and enjoy the family-style meal together. I have only order take-away once, but ordered in person (vs. using an app) and it was a pleasant experience. I honestly would rather eat-in but I didn't have anyone to join me that time. Highly recommend for a no frills but really tasty, affordable Indian meal.

Ever since I stumbled on to this little spot, it’s become my go to for Indian. It’s a family owned restaurant, and the food is absolutely delicious. The thalli lunch plate is really good, but my favorite is the butter chicken. Highly recommend this spot!

My favorite curry spot ANYWHERE. And I love the staff. One chef there I only know as "brother" but whenever I see him, he lights up my day. Last time I was in, I met his son. Great food, great people. Highly recommended❤

Food was delicious! Had the lamb vindaloo and lamb korma. Also had the dessert Naan which had coconut and raisins in it. Also tried the minced lamb Naan and ordered for delivery the chicken cheese Naan. All were delicious. My friend had the tandoori which was also tasty.

This place is awesome. $5 slice of pizza that was HUGE and was exactly what I needed after getting back from the airport on bart. The guy that took my order and served me was a 10/10 bro. I think I'd be a fool to go to any other pizza slice place from here on out.

The food was awesome and reasonably priced. There is a parking facility within walking distance which charges 3 usd per hour. We have ordered Lamb biryani, plain Naan and Chicken Tandoori..all 3 was spot on!! They were very cordial and served us fast when we mentioned that we were in a hurry.

My friends and I come here every Wednesday for dinner and have been doing so for almost 4 years! Gem of a find. Cheap, delicious, no frills Indian / Pakistani food with a very friendly and welcome staff. Consistently gets the Indian stamp of approval from folks from India.. well, at least my parents anyway!

we got the chicken korma, garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala pizza. the pizza was pretty standard and didn’t have a strong tikka masala flavor. the garlic naan was perfectly crunchy and soft. i think they make it in an actual tandoori oven in the store. the chicken korma was also so amazing. i would skip on the pizzas and stick to the naan and curries.

Amazing food! The service here at this family owned restaurant is amazing. 25years in the neighborhood and you can tell they still care. We came for the Pakistani Cuisine and just had to go back the next lunch day for pizza by the slice. Everything was worth every penny. The portions are generous and appreciated!

Last time we came here, way pre pandemic, they didn't have that option, so a pleasant surprise. We bought a fat slice for a super reasonable price...it was bomb! Light and airy, with a hefty amount of toppings (tikka masala). Put it like this, the slice was enough for my wife and I to share, and we usually never share lol. Great food. We enjoyed every single grain of it. Parking is an issue but there's a $3/hr parking nearby. Sitting area is not as luxurious as a typical American restaurant but okay to sit down and have a bite. We had half tandoori chicken, lamb biriyani and Chana Masada. We savor them every single bit. It's something else. 4.5/5 Their chicken roll is always my go to. It's a buttered chicken burrito, nicely packed and rolled into some naan; with seasoned basmati rice, and onions. Make sure to ask for the Mint Chutney and Spicy tamarind sauce to accompany all the flavors in the roll. 4.75/5. When I'm feeling jiggy, I go with their chicken thali. Now these last few times I've been there, I substituted the lentils with the saag paneer. If I'm feeling extra jiggy, I go with the garlic cheese naan. The garlic cheese naan is immaculate, has a beautiful cheese pull every time I get it. This time, I went with the regular buttered naan. Every bite I took, I damn near wanted to cry of joy. The saag paneer and tikka chicken is smothered in flavor, in rich spices and ingredients. I can go here anytime of the week; and it's ALWAYS consistently smackin'. Almost like they sprinkle some crack in their dishes. Always gotta go with a Sprite. 5/5. Much love to the owners and people that work here. That's what keeps this place going. Without them, it wouldn't be Al Hamra. Hambeezy is the spot.

Comes with a main curry as well as some savory lentil daal on the side. Comes with fresh naan, crispy and brushed with a little butter for good measure. Served on a metal plate in a humble family restaurant kind of setting. Try the Chicken Curry (different from chicken tikka masala) for a lighter but still flavorful curry, well spiced with tender cubed chicken. To me, it’s perfection.

Oh my god this place has the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. These plates are fantastic; you don't even need to use the pita but I'm sure I'm breaking some custom by just shoveling down the parts separately XD

The good is amazing, I go every week sometimes twice a week. I always get the tandoori chicken and lamb biryani and the chicken tika masala with nan which all my kids love. This is probably the only restaurant me and my wife and kids all like. The owner and staff are very friendly. I am 110 percent sure if you were to try one of my three picked dishes u will be blown away. I always recommend people there and not one said I was wrong. And lastly you can feel the freshness in the food when u finish you can feel your stomach wants to tell u thank you.

I always get the chicken roll. It’s so good!! I’m actually going to order it right now.

The good is amazing, I go every week sometimes twice a week. I always get the tandoori chicken and lamb biryani and the chicken tika masala with nan which all my kids love. This is probably the only restaurant me and my wife and kids all like. The owner and staff are very friendly. I am 110 percent sure if you were to try one of my three picked dishes u will be blown away. I always recommend people there and not one said I was wrong. And lastly you can feel the freshness in the food when u finish you can feel your stomach wants to tell u thank you.

Truly phenomenal flavor. Never been to this place in person but I doordash from here often and the quality and taste of the food is just out of this world. I could only imagine how good this would be fresh in person. If you haven't tried this place, you're missing out! My personal favorites and recommendations are the tandoori fish, butter chicken, and fish biryani.

Ordered take out from here. It was surprisingly good. The curries are nicely spicy and seasoned. The cheese nan very cheesy. The only cons: the samosas were bland and the ambience at the restaurant is off-putting.

Best chicken tikka masala that I’ve ever tried. The only problem is the parking space around the restaurant. Guys are super quick and make good food. Before chai was complementary, now it’s not.

Visiting a friend in the area, and this is where we went. Friend is vegetarian, I am not. Alhamra has a great selection of both vegetarian and non vegetarian items, with the food being some of the better Indian food I have experienced. Naan was perfect, and all the food portions were reasonable since Indian food can be quite heavy on the belly. Only reason for 1 less star is that it seemed to take an above average time for our order to come out. Other than that, I would eat here again!

This Indian restaurant is cheap and the food is good. I ordered chicken achar, which is listed as spicy, but it was more like a medium spice. The service was not too bad, although we had emptied out waters before we got dinner and didn't get a refill until after. Staff was friendly, though. Really good place to eat and service is fast!

Great food! Fast, effective if not the warmest service, though if i had to deal with yuppies all day i'd be a little distant too. Not the best decor. My favorite is the lamb vindaloo with rice. This is the only time i can think of when i went into a restaurant and accidentally ordered too much food.

When you go to eat at any restaurant and you finish your delicious food, and then instead of just paying the bill you place another order of other items you didn't try, I think is a pretty good sign that the food was excellent. That happened to my family and myself at Alhamra!! I agree that the place is very modest inside, but the food makes up for it many times over. If you can overlook that and enjoy your company and food then you should be ok. Is not that it's dirty but more of old furniture and so so lighting. Now to the food, any curry item I think is simply delicious, creamy, great aromas and tender pieces of chicken (which is the item we order the most). The chicken Tikka Masala and the chicken Chana are incredible!! The vegetarian section is really tasty also, my son loves the Mushroom Mutter is excellent. The Tandoori chicken and prawns are succulent, the meat on each super tender and just full of great flavor. Nan, ohhh the nan, I think they make each order as it is ordered, perhaps I am wrong but it tastes fresh and great!! The first time we went there the server was confused as to why we ordered like 4 different styles of it, he even said that it was a lot of food, but we love tasting different things. The vegetable Samosas are big and delicious, the sauces they bring for them, one red and the green sauce are superb. I also tried the Papadam, which is a sun dried lentil flavored wafer, which to me had a strong and yet delicious cumin flavor. All in all, an excellent food experience, and the prices are really good for the quality of food you are getting, the portions are not huge and you leave feeling satisfied. At least for us is worth the 29 mile drive to have delicious food!!

The vegetable pakora want cooked properly. The insides were mushy. The chicken Tikka pizza was good. The channa masala came out more as dhal because it was overly cooked. The naan was okay. Avoid curries and probably try only pizza.

We were so disappointed! We love the Tikka Masala as a dish but were so disappointed because the pizza doesn’t taste like Tikka Masala at all! It didn’t taste like anything… I don’t know if there was not enough sauce or something. If it just had taste it would’ve been perfect…

Avoid. Didn’t receive online order from their own website so extra 30min wait. Pizza wasn’t thin crust as ordered. Tasted meh. Restroom was dirty.
