Opinions de Amélie San Francisco
This wine bar is one of my favorites and it never disappoints. The wine list is always excellent, the escargots are truly the best, and the flatbread is amazing. I’ve been coming here for years, and I can honestly say it’s my go-to wine bar. Perfect for a date or for a full catching-up with friends
vday reservation <33 this is one of my favorite restaurants in sf. the atmosphere and lighting is gorgeous, staff are lively and the food is incredible. No pretentious energy, it’s all so authentic
Excellent cocktails and incredible food - everything was presented beautifully and tased amazing, great balance of flavor and texture! Service was lovely!
Great French cuisine with a huge professional, wine menu from France and local regions Germain have great taste and he select very fantastic wine list with very fair price . It’s a small wine bar , very casual and relax.indoor or outdoor. One of the best place hangout in SF with foodie friends . Highly recommend . 🥂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing weekend happy hour to try all their wines. Delicious food and they make their own bread.
This place is amazing! The wines were great! The hosts were amazing and the food exceeded my expectations for a wine bar! It was actually pretty good :) we had a great time! Their happy hour is just brilliant! Such a fun place to catch up with friends or for a date night! Definitely recommend it!
We discovered this place by chance simply looking for good places near cable car stops. We arrived just in time to have happy hour prices on two flights of wine and a cheese and meats plate to share. Then we followed up with full glasses of our favourite wines and another cheese plate. They had some lovely sauces and honey to accompany the cheese and the baguette was wonderful. There was a lovely vocalist and guitarist playing Portuguese songs and jazz standards. We speak both French and English and were served in both. This really stood out as a wonderful experience.
When I found out about this wine bar I just thought “another wine bar in the city” but now I would highly recommend this destination, it’s more than just “another wine bar”. We were in the neighbourhood and came to the happy hour (4-6) and we were pleasantly surprised. The wine flights had a huge variety to pick from and the cheese/meat board was super filling. The staff is friendly as well! I lived in Spain and this experience took me back to the bars in Madrid. Plus there was live music after 6.
amelie is one of the best wine bar in sf! they have daily happy hour specials between 4-6pm and a custom wine flight for $12.50 (very generous sizes). the ambiance is amazing. they have live music on the weekends and old movie theater style seats for you to sit in. the servers were all very friendly and they'll recommend wines for you to try if you're indecisive like me! food can take a while to come out on a busy evening, so order food at the same time as your drinks. i highly recommend trying the mushroom arugula champignon flatbread + a charcuterie board to pair with your wine flight! amelie is such a neighborhood treasure on polk street and a must try for anyone in the area 💕
Amelie is a treasure. There’s an excellent array of wines by the glass or bottle at all price points, and great food to go with it. Awesome staff, comfy movie theater-style seating, and an awesome atmosphere.
I’ve been to the NYC location and was expecting a similarly decent experience, but SF was absolutely AMAZING. My boyfriend and I were seated in front of the live performer and had the best time - great tapas and kind service. The octopus carpaccio and brussel sprouts were my favorites.
Good vibe! None alcoholic wine taste like real wine too - big plus

Always a great time at Amelie! Happy hour rocks and the staff are so kind and friendly. I love their large selection of wines

I’ve been to Amelie a few times on Polk and their sister location in NY and no matter when or where, it always feels so welcoming. They have an impressive wine list and are able to make great recommendations. The food options also pair quite well with the wines making it a very fun time all around!
Came by Amelie while we waited for our House of Prime Rib seats...and what a surprise it was! We ordered some drinks and small eats: -1 wine flight for $21 -1 glass Bon $12 -escargot $14 -charcuterie $25 Absolutely LOVED the escargot. So good with the butter, and it was piping hot. Great to dip with the bread. Huge shout out to Nalani at the bar for being courteous! This is a great spot while you wait for a seat at HoPR. Hoenstly, Amelie was far better than HoPR haha. Definitely come here for their HH! Excited to be back in the near future! Live music was playing as well. Street parking only.
The FRESHEST French bread. Delicious sardines. Good pours. Great staff. We spent about $100 for two people. The music is loud, but not too loud, really the perfect ambiance for a fun night out. Beware sitting outside after 4pm; it’s gets windy/cold. We have lovely time every time. Highly recommended this wine bar.
Had a friend's birthday here. Staff was accommodating, drinks were great, the musician playing really added to the vibe. Great spot!
Awesome happy hour, make sure to get the customized wine flight! For food, we had a vegetarian flatbread, fried artichokes, and pistachio goat’s cheese, all were so flavorful.
We came here for my 30th birthday and the staff were amazing and so accommodating. Renaud is fantastic! He was so attentive and excellent at recommending items to try. Can’t wait to come back.
Just had my partners 30th birthday at Amelie! What an amazing venue, food, drinks and service are always 10/10. Thank you Amelie team especially Reno, Bart and Tarik!! Can’t wait to come back again soon to my favorite bar in SF
Amazing local spot for great wines, small bites, and cozy chic vibes. The team are super helpful in guiding you on choosing your beverage of choice, and the food is a nice complement. Also you can use the Blackbird app to pay and earn rewards, which is cool.

We stopped by here for a late lunch after touring the Haas Lilenthal house. The food was delicious and the staff were amazing. The brussel sprouts were our favorite dish. We'll dine there again when in the neighborhood.
We came here for happy hour on a Monday evening and we were one of the only customers in a nearly empty restaurant, so service was pretty efficient. We almost had the entire staff catering exclusively to us. I'd say the restaurant kind of feels like a cross between a bistro bar and a 50s restaurant with dim lighting. Once we took a look at the menu, of course we had to get a wine flight. Between 2 of the $13 wine flights, we ordered a Melon de Bourgogne, Merlot, Gamay, and then we were recommended a Rose Grenache, and an an orange wine, which was interesting. $ 7 Chicken Liver Mousse: okay! It was topped with chives, served with cornichons. $10 Jamon Serrano Croquetas: good! definitely fresh, because it came piping hot. I had to cut it in half and let it steam for a few minutes. $19 Octopus Carpaccio - pickled capers and pickled peppers, pomegranate: great! very tangy taste, get it if you like sour flavors $29 Duck Leg Confit - Grimaud farm duck leg with gratin dauphinois, salad, duck jus: excellent! crispy skin on duck leg with green salad and radishes helped lighten it up. When we got our bill, it came tucked inside of a French paperback, which I thought was a cute touch. We got full from happy hour, though two items were not from the happy hour menu. I give Amelie a 9.2/10
We were here for 35 minutes while waiting for our reservation at Sorella. Spent $75 + tip in that short time. Small discount for cash. Wine was excellent. Charcuterie was amazing. Love that they bring the check in a book. Bread was so delicious. Bartolomeo provides excellent, friendly service.

Wine was really not good—do not go here for wine. Atmosphere might be nice another time, but the night we went it was really loud club-like music. We got the artichoke appetizer though and that was good.
