Opinions de Bageletto San Francisco
I’ve tried Bageletto at least dozen of times. They really have some of the best bagels in the city (and disclaimer: I’m not from NY or NJ, so I can’t compare). I like the chewiness of the bagels and the flavors have always been spot on. I really enjoyed their bagel sandwich and particularly liked their grilled chicken one. I wish they bring the breaded chicken one back. In terms of service, on the weekends, it does tend to get busy with a longer wait but staff has always been pleasant and they don’t rush you when you are ordering. I am so glad this place is in the neighborhood and I hope they continue to do well 😊
I have truly never written a review so quickly. I’ve lived in the Bay for 12 years and this is the 1st time I’ve actually had a proper NYC style bagel. Got the classic breakfast on everything with egg, bacon, cheese & I had them add scallion schmear. INSTANTLY transported me to Brooklyn. Would give them 6/5 stars if I could. Top notch all around.👏 Can’t wait to come back.
This bagel was so good I couldn’t let the camera eat first. Seriously, this is the first New York quality bagel I’ve had since moving to SF 12 years ago. The bagel had air.. gasp! The chive shmear was fantastic and the lox was super high quality. All the flavors were well balanced with the pickled onion, capers, and lemon zest. My only regret was not trying more sandwiches. Cannot recommend enough. This team completely nailed it!
Besides being lightly overpriced their bagel are excellent. The portions, size, and topping are aligned with the price (and my mom we are small eater so we normally share half of them). I love their popular lox bagels a lot and have it every time I go to Rainbow grocery. The blueberry bagels with strawberry cream is delicious too! Highlight recommended. However, there are limited seating outside so it’s a little inconvenient
If you thought you ate a good bagel in the city you haven't. Bageletto, is a must if you can't get to nyc for a bagel then you should already be in line, and if your not a fan of Bagels no worries they have a chopped cheese and a prim dip on one of the best baguettes in town. To sum it up if you're a bagel or sandwich person you haven't lived until you ate at BAGELETTO!!
I had my first Bageletto this morning. We shared a breakfast bagel and a smoked salmon bagel on the Calabrian chili flavor as well as a blueberry bagel with their cherry shmear for dessert 😋. All I can say is I can’t wait to go back for more! This place is a must go!
✨NEW✨ must try New York style bagels in the Bay Area! Share with your bagel-loving bestie🗽🥯✨ @bageletto is bringing the east coast to the west coast with their delicious bagels and we couldn’t be happier! Whether you’re team schmear, team sandwich, or just love bagels fresh out the oven, they’ve got you covered from being customizable to your liking or choosing one of their signatures. They also have a Calabrian chili & cheese bagel that we haven’t seen anywhere else and it was soo good along with their Lox & Loaded! There’s no seating so it’s a quick grab and go place, but perfect for enjoying at a park nearby. Service is also very nice!
Best bagel I’ve had on the west coast, really quick service. Not only do they taste bomb, the consistency of the bagels are the perfect mix of airy and chewy. For the price you get a giant portion, bigger than most places so really when you do the unit cost out you’re getting a good deal for the size + quality.
Takes a long time but the lox and loaded is a top tier lox bagel — better than shloks and hella bagel in my opinion. Plain blueberry bagel had real blueberries but texture was not to my taste, the crust was quite thick rather than chewy. I would stick to the sandwiches.
A very refreshing modern bagel shop. Out door seating (two) tables and in side a small area for ordering and collecting your bagel! I have tried bagels from all around San Francisco and hands down these are the best! They are cooking bagels all day long, not like all other shops that cook them before the store opens for the entire day. Buy baking throughout the day you are guaranteed a fresh bagel. Great bagels.
Picked up a half dozen from Bageletto and was seriously impressed. The bagels have that ideal chewy texture with a nice crisp on the outside. I tried a mix of flavors and they were all solid, but the nice surprise is the bacon and fig schmear. Sweet, smoky, creamy—just an awesome combo that I didn’t know I needed. Super friendly service and a cool little spot overall. Definitely coming back for more bagels and to try the other schmears!
Bagels are good. The fig and bacon cream cheese is really good. Worth a try. On the pricer side. I love sweet bagels (cinnamon raisin/blueberry), but i can’t believe these are considered “specialty bagels” for $4. Wait was pretty long. Waited 20 min to place my order. Waited another 20 to pick up my bagel sandwich.

Cheese bagel with schmear (bacon and fig) Crunchy and chewy and moist Sesame bagel - 4/5 fine Scallion schematics - 3/5 bland
Saw this place on sf chronicle, had to give it a try. Ordering was smooth and they even gave samples to try. Got the bacon egg and cheese on jalapeño and cheddar bagel, SO GOOD. Egg was cooked well and bagel was delicious, I’ll be back

I was there around 9 am on Friday and there was no longer and took about 10 minutes for my order to be made. Had the egg and cheese bagel and the poppy seed bagel with bacon fig schmeer. Both were good, though there could have been more egg.
Ate my bagel so fast I forgot to take a picture! The menu is pretty extensive and interesting which was a nice surprise. We had the muffuletta and Brooklyn pizza bagel which was absolutely fire! Fresh ingredients, great taste, and solid bagel. Definitely recommend.

Kiki was gift to work with on a tricky pick up order before business hours. Told her I wanted her boss's email because I wanted to let them know she needed a raise. She told me her and her husband are the business owner operators and please do email him and tell him I need a raise! Great food. Always fresh. Friendly service feels neighborly. That bacon and fig schmear... the best. Lunch time always seems to have a small line but with a vibe. Work has gotten out. Great little spot. Great addition to the neighborhood.
Best bagel you will ever have on the west coast. Apart from how fresh and delicious their bagels are, they also have a lot of interesting options and offerings. There are a lot of unique and refreshing beverages and the sandwich options look AMAZING. I’ve only tried the pizza and the smash sandwiches so far, but I noticed they have a nice outside seating area last time I picked up and hella want to take my wife to lunch there sometime to try some of their other sandwiches!
Lox bagel was delicious and substantial. The price is higher than other places but the quality and kind of makes up for it. There's only outdoor seating and when I went the restroom was out of order.
I got some blueberry and sesame bagels to go. The bagels definitely have the chewiness you are looking for but maybe a bit too dense for my liking (prefer fluffier). Overall pretty good but not comparable to the top ones in New York imo. The cream cheese toppings were kinda overpriced so we passed on that. Friendly service but unfortunately no place to sit in to eat. There’s also quite a bit of wait even if you are just getting plain bagels with no toppings.
First of all the bagels were so good! but i would say the add ons are the good part not the bread itself. The bagel breads are just normal bagels, but the add ons especially eggs were so soft and big, I loved it. I got a jalapeño and cheese bagel with scallion schmear, with eggs, picked onion, bacon, and avocado (btw they forgot the avocado 😭) but i was able to get a refund. And this in total was ~$20 My friend got strawberry schmear and she said they weren’t the best ones. And this was ~$8 However, the area it is located in is kind of sketchy, and no indoor seatings. However the employees were very friendly and nice. They brought chairs for us, and someone left a water bottle and they went around everyone to find the owner :)

Not a bad bagel, but can't justify the price. It's certainly way better than Noah's just down the street and on par with Boichik or Wise Son's. The Calabrian chili is pretty unique as well. Would've liked the bagel a bit warmer, but at least there was a nice crunch and they didn't skimp on the cream cheese. The open face or crafted bagels seem to be their main selling point though, so I may come back in the future for those. On just a bagel with cream cheese though, it's average.
A strange bagel shop. I’ve never been in a bagel shop that didn’t show any bagels for sale. I would call this more of a sandwich shop than anything else. It looks like a cafe with the espresso machine next to the iPad. The sandwich I ordered was good but didn’t have any cream cheese on the bagel, I guess I should have ordered that as well. Left it kind of dry to eat. I’ll have to come back for just bagel and spread soon. $20 plus sandwiches is something I’ll never get used to either. $50 for two sandwiches and a small coffee, please give me a break. And they ask for a tip

Ordered the Smash on an everything bagel, and unfortunately it really missed the mark. Everything tasted a bit stale or off-season, and there was barely any avocado—and what was there was already oxidized. The whole sandwich was under-salted. The bagel itself was fine, but definitely not on par with Laundromat or Boichik. Maybe I’m picky because I’m from New Jersey, but this was really disappointing! Definitely a skip for me
Bagel was fine. It was fresh but still missing that signature chewy yet also crisp crust. Schmear was ungodly expensive for what you get, like $4 and you get this tiny little sliver on your bagel, and this is of course after paying $3 and change the bagel itself. At least they filled the bagel hole with some cream cheese. Even for a simple order it took me too long to receive my food after ordering even though I was the only one there. So why did I wait 15 minutes for an untoasted bagel with plain cream cheese? Maybe they were milking the cow to make the cream cheese. And there’s something unsettling about the fact there’s a $22 chopped cheese on the menu. I don’t regret the visit but after seeing how the owner responded to this review I will certainly not be back, surely good news for everyone. And no, there were not twenty orders ahead of me as the owner claims, this was a quiet Monday afternoon, February 24 around 2pm to be precise, long before their Chronicle piece or whatever newspaper covered them. I was quite literally the only person there besides the two folks who had already been served. Really no excuse for a fifteen minute wait for such a simple order. But with a reply like yours, it’s obvious you think your feet smell nice. With such an attitude, I’d expect a better bagel, truthfully. It’s really great you’re sourcing um, ground beef?, from New Jersey????, as opposed to anywhere else in a 2500 mile radius. I’m guessing New Jersey is somehow impressive when you need to figure out a way to do absolutely anything to what is literally a struggle meal to justify a $22 price tag in a review. However it’s clear that the provenance of your, um, ground beef, is not important enough to share with actual customers since it’s not on your menu. Anyways, maybe learn how to actually put schmear on a bagel and it won’t take fifteen minutes next time, and then nobody will have time to think about the expensive bagel they bought, and so they won’t even think to write a review about how they waited an inordinate amount of time for a mediocre bagel with a paucity of cream cheese. Or maybe pay your artisan to make your artisanal cream cheese faster or more impressive or something, I shouldn’t claim know what the 15 minute bottleneck is to put some topping on a bagel. Maybe a business 101 class is in order. And I was happy leaving three stars, because again, the bagel is just fine. But I changed it to one because you clearly need a public relations class too. Then some therapy so you can stop being so precious about your just fine bagel. Or go the other way and learn to make a good bagel so the attitude is warranted. Or maybe simply hire someone who is actually good at customer service, it’s clearly a huge gap in your skill set as owner. There are a lot of paths forward here. Hope this helps!
