Caswall Creamspreader call me from his shop, The Torpedo Alley and asked if I would stop by and lend a hand installing a new Davenshafter on the Wienerbacker in his backroom, well, I told him I'm not familiar with that aperatice, but I'll come by and help. Then he tells me "Hey since your comings over can you stop at the Blue Barn and grab us a couple of sandwiches....and I'll owe you" The Blue Barn makes the best sandos in the city. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

OVERALL: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Service: Self Service. Order at the counter. Take a number and the food is delivered to the table. Ambiance: 5/5 - Rustic Had gone for quick bite for lunch. Ordered a soup (Tomato Basil), Thai Chicken Salad and Kickin Chicken Sandwich. Everything was delicious and the helpings were very very generous. I ended up bringing home more that half of my salad. 9-15-2023 - Lunch - Table for 2

This is great place to grab high-quality salads and sandwiches in a nicer atmosphere with a bar. The menu is extensive with plenty of thoughtful ingredient combos. You can make a grain bowl out of any salad, and the meats are prepared freshly. I had a grilled salmon that was nice and tender, surrounded by generous portions of all the salad fixings. The staff were also quite personable. I'd highly recommend Blue Barn for a delicious meal whether dining in or to-go!

This walk-in winner features a straight forward menu of premium sandos and salads. Do: -Order the Rooster. This flavor bomb is generous enough for two people. Pair it with a well priced side of caesar salad and french fries featuring house made ranch and you'll look like a champ for under $25. Don't: -Bring more than 6 people at a time. You'll break the seating chart. Great 2 or 4 top spot. -Order the Sheep grilled cheese. Press was a touch too aggressive. Salami and manchego played second fiddle to the jam (which had nice flavor). Unfortunately, when bread is the dominant flavor in a bite, you know it's a miss.

A little on the pricey side ($40 for a sandwich, salad & kombucha drink).. but hey, welcome to SF! Other than that, the food is of a very high quality & they clearly care about what they serve.. Sandwich was good & the salad was a very generous portion while not being too much. Definitely worth a try! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Maybe the best sandwich and fry combo I've ever had....and their menu is huge!! This is the Rooster and I'm told it's the best sandwich. I Just finished my second time here and I ventured away from my reigning favorite sandwich, the 'Rooster' and tried the 'Kickin' Chicken' sandwich. Although you can taste the Blue Barn greatness, there was too much of their overpowering BBQ sauce and I'm not a huge fan of gouda. Until next visit....

Shared a Thai chicken salad, truffle sandwich, and tomato soup. The salad was good and sandwich was fine—definitely quality ingredients but flavor was not what I was expecting/hoping. The tomato basil soup was by far my favorite. Staff was super kind and even separated the salad into two bowls for us. Would be interested in going back to try other items!

Salmon custom salad was good but definitely not worth $35, which includes default 18% for no service besides bringing the bowl to the table. Salmon was crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. Salmon portion was small. Back patio is a lovely place to sit though.

• I accidentally discovered a secret menu item: the ROMAINE STEM SALAD. • I thought I ordered a simple green salad with grilled salmon (something I eat several times a week). Instead, roughly one-third of the bowl consisted of thick, watery, slightly bitter romaine cores.The stems weren’t neatly clustered. They were integrated throughout, which meant 15 minutes of careful extraction while starving. • The salmon didn’t help. It was the only salmon in San Francisco I’ve ever returned - overdone on the outside (rubbery and tough), dry inside instead of flaky and soft. • Fifteen minutes and $35 later, I had successfully separated the bitter, watery romaine stems from the edible parts. The prep was clearly done in a rush. I did not see the dark green romaine parts at all. • To be fair, the sandwiches nearby looked excellent. I don’t think I am curious enough to embark on another adventure here.

I have a one question You have reported me for waiting for a long time, but I did not wait for a long time, but I came to pick up the order that was placed with me after another person waited and canceled it. Other dashers might cancel after waiting a long time and then throw us out, just like we did when we picked up. I m not happy for restaurant aslo works I m sad today 😭🙏

The food is very good and the portions are generous, but the noise in this place is unbearable. The tables are so close to each other that you end up hearing every single conversation, which makes the experience very uncomfortable. We came here three times, but never again. The noise pollution exceeds 87 decibels, enough to give you a headache.

Extremely skimpy on the protein. They’ll give you only a few pieces of chicken along with a huge amount of lettuce. When I complained, they had me buy another side of chicken for $8! Ridiculous. Will not be coming back.
