I had an incredible experience at EPIC Steak. This was honestly the best steakhouse I’ve ever been to. The views from the restaurant are absolutely outstanding. Being right on the waterfront with views of the Bay Bridge makes the entire dining experience feel really special, especially in the evening. The service was top notch from start to finish. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel elevated without being overwhelming. And of course, the food was wow. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients and care that goes into every dish. If you’re visiting San Francisco and want an unforgettable steakhouse experience, I highly recommend this place.
We had an amazing anniversary dinner at EPIC Steak and it could not have been a better experience. The atmosphere was incredible, especially sitting outside with the beautiful waterfront view and the lights from the bridge in the background. It made the whole evening feel really special. For dinner, we ordered the 14 oz New York steak and the 6 oz steak, both cooked perfectly with an amazing sear and great flavor. The steaks were tender, juicy, and exactly what you expect from a top steakhouse. The sides were also fantastic. The potatoes and carrots paired perfectly with the steaks and were seasoned really well. Everything on the table complemented the meal. Service was attentive and welcoming, and the entire experience felt elevated but still comfortable. It was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great steak, amazing views, and a memorable night out in San Francisco.

Top-quality meat, beautifully seasoned, and served exactly how a great steak should be. The atmosphere is upscale but relaxed, with an amazing view that makes the whole experience even better. Service was professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. If you’re looking for a high-end steakhouse with outstanding food and vibes, Epic Steak is a must. Worth every dollar.
We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and we were not disappointed. Paul was our server and the service was exceptional! He made the whole experience special for us. We loved the cactus club cocktail to start. We shared the porterhouse steak which came out perfectly cooked how we ordered it (medium). The carrots were also delicious and perfectly cooked. We had to try the Julia child’s potatoes and they were good but a bit heavy for me. I kind of wish we would’ve gone with the Yukon potato puree. I feel like you can never go wrong with mashed potatoes. We were given a little taste of the beef tartar on a potato chip and it was excellent! I wasn’t a fan of beef tartar before, but I would try it again if I knew it would taste like that. We tried the Saffron pappardelle with Dungeness crab which would have been great without the treviso radicchio. The radicchio was so bitter and overpowered the wonderful taste of the creamy dish. We just kind of picked it out, but we both thought it would have been much better without it. Overall we had an amazing experience and would come back again. Thanks again to Paul for making it such a memorable dinner for us.
We had a 4:45 reservation and I’ll admit I was slightly panicked when GPS showed we were only 2 miles away but somehow 41 minutes out. I knew the restaurant had a 15-minute grace period and we were cutting it close, so I called. The person who answered was incredibly kind and reassuring and told us not to worry. That immediately set the tone. Once we arrived (after finally finding parking), every single staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. Our waiter was knowledgeable, personable, and made us feel completely at home. He explained the menu clearly and gave us just the right amount of space to enjoy the experience without ever feeling rushed. We ordered the New York strip, ribeye, crab cakes, mushrooms, wedge salad, potato purée, Old Fashioneds, and I tried two wines — plus of course the bread and butter. Everything was phenomenal. The crab cakes were absolutely delicious — flavorful, well-balanced, and not overly heavy. The steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly — even the fat was delicious (no shame 🤭). The potato purée was so smooth it almost tasted chowder-like. The mushrooms were rich and flavorful. The salad was fresh and balanced. And dessert? Perfectly sweet — not overpowering, not bland, just right. When we finished dinner, they boxed up our leftover steak for us and then placed the to-go bag on a small stand next to our table while we enjoyed dessert. Such a thoughtful touch. All in all, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Great service, amazing food, and thoughtful details throughout. We were absolutely blown away and would definitely come back.
Visited SF to celebrate a 50th Birthday..and it was tough finding a steakhouse with a dog but we got lucky with STK accepting dogs but as soon as we got there I felt we weren't welcomed with a dog. Without much options we took a gamble and walked out and with no reservations we decided to walk to EPIC and WOW what a difference!!! We're welcomed with open arms and treated amazingly by all staff and management. We also got the best seats in the house. What a way to end this fun trip and celebration here at EPIC. I will be reaching out to corporate and giving praise to all who made this experience memorable. Long Story short this celebration was going down hill with unexpected cancelations etc and for it to end the way it did thanks to this establishment I will forever be grateful THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

My husband surprised me with dinner here to celebrate my birthday, and the experience was exceptional. The staff made me feel special by printing a happy birthday message on our menus and a card signed by the team wishing me a happy birthday. They also surprised me with a delicious dessert. The food and service were amazing.
I had the pleasure to dine at epic steakhouse, after being recommended by the concierge at the hotel. Where to start, the location is premium with views looking at the bay bridge. The seat allocated was Epic (no pun intended) and then we had the pleasure of having Glen as our waiter. Where to start, the best I can say is he made us feel like celebrities in his home. He offered up advice on the menu as well as provide options to enhance the experience. We were able to experience numerous flavours on his advice. Finally Eric attended the table to highlight the little personal touches that set an establishment like epic apart from others. The whole staff should be commended for their efforts I wish I could provide a more positive review to highlight just how happy we were to have our last meal dining out in The USA (travelling)
Fantastic! major props to the staff. the host was prompt with our reservation and our server Ella was very kind, welcoming and attentive. I asked her a question about the mushrooms being cooked with sherry and she was quick with a concise answer. Another server commented on my Jordan 4s. just a simple "I like your 4s" as he passed but I thought that was really cool that he noticed. everyone is celebrating something special when they come here, and the staff still made my birthday feel unique. the crab cakes, the steaks, the sides and the ice cream sundae were beyond great. I had a Porterhouse and my girlfriend had 9oz of The Best Damn Filet. both were delicious. BOH is doing an amazing job. a huge thank you to the staff here. they work hard, know their shit and make it an experience to remember.

Excellent from top to bottom except the Mac and cheese, very strong truffle flavor. Our waiter (Kevin) was very friendly and served amazing. The rest of the food was brilliant. My scotch old fashioned was great as well. Little on the pricey side, great for dates and birthdays in my opinion. Right on the water for a beautiful view of the bay bridge. He was extremely accommodating and personable, setting the tone for the evening. It turns out Barry has family ties in Mississippi, which made for a wonderful conversation. That kind of genuine connection makes all the difference, and it’s clear that Epic is lucky to have him representing their restaurant. Now, the food—absolutely outstanding. We ordered the filet and the ribeye, and both were cooked to perfection. The filet was tender, buttery, and flavorful, while the ribeye had that perfect char and rich marbling that makes it melt in your mouth. Every bite reminded us why Epic has such a strong reputation for steak. The sides and accompaniments complemented the meal beautifully, making it an experience worth savoring. Of course, one of the most unforgettable parts of dining at Epic is the view. Situated right on the waterfront, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the Bay Bridge and the city skyline. As the sun set and the bridge lights came on, it created an atmosphere that was nothing short of magical. Between the exceptional service, outstanding food, and stunning location, Epic Steak is easily one of the best restaurants in San Francisco. I went in with no reservation and was presented with waterfront seating, best in the house in my opinion. I had an excellent dinner with fantastic service. Rodrigo is a gem. we chatted for a bit and he made my evening. stellar service!! amazing food, grandmas cigar was incredible as a cocktail. the ribeye steak & potatoes were so good. Calling the place Epic does not do justice. We fell in love with each dish we ate from the salad to the desert. And the steak.....it was tender, juicy, and had a great taste. We decided it might be the best steak we ever had. If you can sit outside around sunset, do it. We went on a Thursday night without reservations and got seated outside with zero wait. The view of the Bay Bridge just added to the amazing night. If you want it to be fun, then it's fun. If you want it to be romantic, it's romantic. Just go and be Epic.
Celebrated my birthday at Epic and it was a great dinner! The service was great and the food was top tier. My husband and I have been here once before two years ago. We weren’t sure if we were going to have the same great experience as the first time since some time has passed. But it was great just as the first time! Great food and great atmosphere. And you get to see the bay bridge from where we were sitting. I also received a birthday card from their staff and thought that was very thoughtful. Definitely would recommend this place for a nice dinner or even an event.

We've been here several times in the past. Always just for a drink at the outdoor bar. Food looks good but a bit on the expensive side. The G&Ts were good. The first bartender we had acted like he hated his job. Completely different attitude with the guy that replaced him after about 10 minutes.
This is a biased review as I don’t eat steak. However, I really loved the ambience and service at this place. They do justice to the most beautiful you’d see while dinning nice. Good options for steak, my group enjoyed their combination option (steak + salad + dessert). I got the fish and it was meh! However I did devour the crème brûlée, one of the most delicious things I’ve eaten. If you are looking for a fine dining steak restaurant, this place gives you everything you need.

Overall, we had a decent time there. Right when we got in the hostess was tied up helping other guests who came in after us? Our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed? He looked a little flustered, and we had to wait quite a while just to place our drink orders, food, etc. Other than that, he did his best to be helpful, but it wasn't fantastic. We were celebrating our anniversary, which added a special touch to the occasion. Sadly, the service felt a bit cold, slow, and sometimes rushed after long waits. We tried to make the most of it. The waiters kept bumping into me and pushing my chair, there was plenty of space around, so I’m not sure why it happened 3 or 4 times. And it wasn’t just a little nudge either. Perhaps be aware of your patrons. The food was ok. The view was stunning. The atmosphere was nice. It was a bit busy, but it didn’t feel overcrowded. We might try it again.
