Loved it! The restaurant is very nice inside and elegant feeling, but still comfortable. The tables were pretty small, but I feel like that allows them to seat more customers because everyone and their momma wanted to eat there so there was a line. We ordered the Italian omelette and the bacon cheddar tots. It was delicious. BUT the Bloody Marys were amaaaazing. I indulged and had two 🩷 will definitely be back.
Nice brunch/lunch place in Marina. Easy to walk in (even for the big party (of 7) the wait is 10-20 min on Sunday afternoon), and the service is friendly + food comes fast. Love the portion sizes and how flavorful are their breakfasts! My favorites are Benedict’s and French toast.
Best breakfast ever. The food was fresh, hot, and tasted amazing. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon was crispy, and the pancakes were perfect. The coffee was amazing . Service was fast and friendly. Everything came out quick and exactly how we ordered it. I’ll definitely be coming back. Perfect way to start the day!
Place was so warm and inviting. We had breakfast 2 days in a row here and loved it! If you like eggs Benedict you must try their salmon Benedict. Highly recommend
Everything was amazing here. The place is super cute and calm. Very cozy. Like eating back home but with delicious food. So many options to choose from and everything we ordered was spectacular. The service was also very good.
I have been coming to this breakfast spot location for numerous of years when it was called Baywatch. The restaurant is now called Home Plate. I don't know if it's the same owners but breakfast/brunch/lunch is always good - portions are ample, tasty and service is to please. There is always something for everyone - some of my table mates are quite picky. The interior has changed since it was Baywatch. They took out the small glass enclosed dining room (sat 30 persons max where I would hold wedding showers/baby showers/family gatherings and where organizations would hold there meetings). The restaurant serves "home made" type of food - nothing fancy or fusion. Food quality and service still remain excellent.
It’s a wonderful place to have your breakfast! You will be pleasantly surprised by the stylish European interior (we really miss it), spotless service and the breakfast itself. It’s sooo delish! Especially, French toast. It’s just out of this world! And there is only one con: it’s pricey. So the place is highly recommended.
This place was Amazing!! Food was good and the wait to get the food wasn't long. We got there early (8:30) so there was no wait to be seated. We will are returning to have breakfast here the next 4 days(we are from Seattle). I has the garden omelet and my husband has the New York steak.
There was a wait but I feel that’s always a good sign for good food. Service was a bit slow but i assumed it was due to them being super busy. Food however was AMAZING and made up for the wait. I had the Croffle (new item) and it was perfect and flavorful. Portion size was also perfect for me. I had the Peach Bellini after the mocha coffee both were delicious. I would definitely go back here next time I’m in San Fran!

A super choice of breakfast options, freshly prepared. A pleasant, not too busy breakfast/brunch restaurant. Mid priced

Home plate has a modern atmosphere and friendly service. The food was great (just like down home) and the Mocha just how I like it.
My roommate and I ordered breakfast from here today and had it delivered. All of the food was very good. However... I got the country fried steak and waffle meal and for $20.00 I really feel it should have came with eggs as well. There was one waffle cut into 4ths, a small slice of pineapple and the country fried steak was small itself. It was still very good but I personally think that was a small portion for $20.00. Overall the food was good 👍
The food…amazing. We had breakfast. Well presented and the chicken sausage were amazing! My eggs cooked perfectly as was my friends’ dishes. Superb food. The place is very pretty and lightly ‘cozy cafe’ music was ideal for a lingering meal. What I didn’t like is the server. The gentleman was fine. He was smiling, pleasant with us and efficient. The lady, however, while efficient, appeared at our table, filled our coffee 1/2 way up, never acknowledged our thank yous, no smiles, in fact, quite surly. We almost had to beg for a full cup of coffee from her on the second round. In fact…when she poured, I had to ask her twice to fill mine to which I received a massive sigh…like I was a big problem to her. Absolutely not called for. Interestingly, when we asked for the check, she brought it and walked away saying, you’re welcome to our thank you with a slight smile. So it’s clear, she could be pleasant. She let the side down in our experience. I will return, due to all the other positives, but she needs a reminder that the customer deserves to be treated better.
Super cute place! Came after a run with the MRC run club. Good: - The ambiance is great, beautiful decor and it's a cute brunch place - The acai bowl was great - super beautiful plating and good portion size, I liked the acai blend they used too and there was a lot of fruit on the plate - The huevos rancheros was also delicious, the tortilla was plated in a cute way - The latte with oatmilk was so tasty! - Staff checked in us a lot Bad: - Takes forever for the food to come out! I swear we waited about 30 min for the food to get to us Overall enjoyed the experience though it was a lot of waiting.
Such a fine little cafe, the service is exceptional, good food, lots of menu choices, nice decor (although the chairs need to be shampooed). I had the starter breakfast, bacon was cooked just right and not greasy, hashbrowns, toast and eggs likewise very good. Lots of good places to eat in SF and this is certainly one of them.

Service leaves a bit to be desired but the food was good! Portions could be a bit bigger for the price. Nice place. Will be back.

Great brunch spot for groups. Expecting a line because they don't take reservations but worth it. Love their crab melt

Poor service, subpar food, burnt toast, and all of it overpriced. Don't waste your time

Walked from my hotel. No issues with getting in. Very fancy place so I expected something great. Ordered crab cake Benedict. Thought being in San Francisco it would be special. Not the case. Presentation was beautiful but it was not good. Definitely not Dungeness. I’m sure they have good food but don’t order it. You’ll be disappointed.
This place is convenient, service is good and friendly. The rose latte was delicious. Unfortunately food is not that great. The huevos rancheros was wet and soggy.
The atmosphere is lovely, the wait staff is friendly, and the food's pretty good. Pancakes are a decent size with some real fluff to them, so it's an attractive plate. Indeed, the diner look and feel is all there. But California prices drag the experience down, because after tax and tip it's almost twenty bucks for two, count 'em TWO pancakes, and nothing else. Then I'm gonna nitpick to the moon. Not enough banana in the banana walnut. Candied walnuts a nice touch but a textural annoyance. Water on the table desperately needs ice.
We were the first ones to arrive at the restaurant, as they had just opened, and it was shockingly a quite pleasant and quaint place to dine in. The staff was friendly and welcoming, as well as attentive to our needs throughout our breakfast. To be frank, the food was not great, nor was it bad, it was simply "okay" considering how pricey almost every dish was. The croffle caught our attention, which I believe is just a croissant pressed down with a waffle iron, and served with toppings you typically see in a crepe (bananas, strawberries, Nutella, etc). Again, it sounded a lot better than it tasted, as it was not anything special in our opinion, again, also considering how pricey it was just for one croissant essentially. The environment just outside their front doors is unfortunately not the most pleasant, with there being a large amount of trash on the sidewalk. Overall, it was an okay breakfast, the most convenient part being how early they open compared to other breakfast serving restaurants.
The was bland and they didn't have enough staff The waitress was overworked and overwhelmed her frustration with her situation was evident

Overall 1 star for the service. It was terrible, there was hardly anyone in there for it to be bad. It was Thursday at 10am. For starters the parking was $18 for 2 hours. It took 15 min for her to seat us. Then when we sat down it took 22 minutes for her to come get our drink orders. Then it took 10 minutes to get the drinks. I know everyone reading this has been in this exact situation. The other thing is if you go because you think it’s kid friendly and baseball centric you’re highly mistaken. Classical music hardly any baseball decorations. Just manage your expectations with this place. Not to mention overpriced and the food was decent.
We, 5 adults and 3 kids, arrived on 2/18 for lunch. Got mandatory 20% tip but no service. During our meal, the water was not refilled, and the waitress didn't attend our table at all. We found some unchewable plastic pieces in our salad, and eggshell in egg Benedict. When we asked for our check, we told the waitress what we found. She said: you should have told us the eggshell right away. Funny thing: no one checked our table at all during our meal, how do we tell anyone the eggshell? In terms of the plastic pieces, she only said: it's garlic peel. Sorry. It should not be there in salad. That's all response we got from the waitress. Its obvious to me that once the tip is mandatory, poor service and poor food are provided. Maybe they don't care at all.
