Opinions de Jalebi Street San Francisco
We experienced one of the authentic tasting north Indian chats out here that’s closer to what you will eat in Delhi. We tried 4-5 items and all of them tasted very good. Plus presentation is also at par. Jalebi at the end worked as cherry on the top. Service has some room to improve. Ambience is bit rustic and matches the Haight district but can be better.
Phenomenal North Indian joint in the Indian food desert of the Haight neighborhood. Everything we ordered was top notch. The channa batura was as authentic as it gets. The chaat was tangy and spicy as God intended it to be. The hot jalebis were icing on the cake and they lived up their eponymous expectations! The chai was the only loose tooth and left me desiring for more. Go here and it's worth the wait.
Amazing North Indian street food in the heart of SF! We went on a Friday evening and it was very packed and lively, with a constant supply of fluffy bhaturas (deep fried flatbread) and jalebis (crispy dessert) being served everywhere. The restaurant was slightly understaffed because of how busy it was but the server was very efficient in getting walkins on the waitlist, seating, and taking our order. Raj kachori - probably the best chaat item, very fresh and crisp Dahi puri - standard Delhi style Chhole bhature - pretty good, not greasy Jalebi - fresh, made to order, we loved this best. The quantity is lesser than similar places in South Bay, but overall a very good chaat place for SF / Peninsula.
This is an amazing restaurant! Do not miss this one out- the garam garam (piping hot) jalebis with rabri are a hit!!! Kachori aloo and the samosas were toooo good! 1000% a must try
Yoooo found THE SPOT for CHOLE BHATURE!! Kinda hard to get seated and they don't do online reservations and their service seems quite chaotic for some reason. It's usually pretty busy I find but the food is good. Would come back regularly for the chole bhature!!
Visited after seeing all the hype on social media. It didn’t disappoint. Chaat items were good, except for samosa chaat, Dahi was too sweet. Delhi Chole bathure was very good and of course jalebi’s. They should clean up all those boxes, still looks like they moved yesterday. Need to make it more presentable. Still giving a over all 5 star, even though there is scope for improvement. Overall liked the food and service.
This place has amazing food!! I really loved everything I’d! The jalebis, bhedmi poori, chole bhature, papdi chaat and shikanji! If you want to try some really good North Indian food that has flavors of Rajasthan, go here!!
We got chhole and pav bhaji. I found the spices and oils were not over the top which is amazing. Bedmi poori with chhole was not oily at all but at the same it it was soft and tasty. Felt like when mom makes something restraunt style. Dahi puri chat was also nice.
Delicioussss spot for indian food in haight! We tried their kashmiri kofta curry and saag paneer and both were so flavourful and cosy. Garlic naan was great but the pudina paratha was the star, perfectly flaky! 10/10 masala chai too! Already craving it again and can’t wait to be back!
Great Indian restaurant with delicious food and warm hospitality. The flavors were authentic, portions generous, and service quick. Definitely worth visiting!
Super delicious and at par with restaurants from India! The jalebi and pani puri were the best I’ve had in Bay Area. We also had kachori with aloo sabzi, dal makhani + naan and chhole bhature. The entire staff was welcoming and efficient

A Taste of Authentic India in San Francisco: My Gushing Review of Jalebi Street Jalebi Street is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary teleportation device. Stepping into their San Francisco location, I was immediately transported back to the vibrant, aromatic streets of North India. While their reputation for incredible street food precedes them, I was genuinely blown away by the authenticity and quality of every dish I tried. My journey began with the Onion Kachori (Pyaj Kachori), and it was a revelation. Unlike the often dense and oily versions I've had elsewhere, these were perfectly flaky and crisp on the outside, giving way to a beautifully spiced and savory onion filling. The accompanying chutneys were the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, elevating an already perfect snack into a truly memorable starter. Next came the main event: the Chole Bhature and Bedmai Poori. The chole was a masterclass in flavor—rich, thick, and perfectly spiced with a depth that can only come from slow simmering. The bhature were light, fluffy, and perfectly puffed, with a delicate crispness that made them a joy to tear and scoop. The bedmai poori, a rare find in the Bay Area, was equally impressive. The savory lentil filling in the poori was a delightful surprise, and its heartiness paired with the tangy aloo sabzi was a match made in heaven. Every bite felt like a comforting, home-cooked meal. And then, for the grand finale: the Jalebi Rabri. This is the dish that gives the restaurant its name, and it lives up to every bit of the hype. The jalebis were an absolute work of art—crispy on the outside, juicy with just the right amount of saffron syrup, and not overly sweet. Paired with the cool, creamy, and cardamom-infused rabri, it was a dessert that hit all the right notes. The contrast in temperature and texture was simply divine, making it the perfect end to a flawless meal. Jalebi Street has earned its place as a must-visit for anyone craving genuine, high-quality North Indian street food. The flavors are bold, the textures are perfect, and every dish feels like it's been prepared with genuine passion. I cannot recommend this place enough and am already planning my next trip back to explore the rest of their incredible menu.

Finally a really good Indian food spot in SF! The chaat here is so, so good, fresh, flavorful, and hits all the right notes. Loved the Dahi Puri and Aloo Tikki Chaat, and the Chole Bhature and Bedmi Puris were equally comforting and authentic. Also tried their roti sabzi, and it was excellent. Honestly, everything here is very good 👌🏾 This place is already on my regular rotation. Highly recommend!

The dahi puri and samosa chaat were really good. The gulab jamuns were tasty but I’ve had better in SF. Mango Lassis were also really good. Everything else was just OK. We tried the saag paneer, Kashmiri kofta curry and laacha parathas. While they were good, the portion sizes felt small. The service was very chaotic as we had to ask for water multiple times.
Second time coming, and it was pretty good! First time coming, we got samosa chat, kachori chat, and dahi sev puri, which were ALL amazing. The pav bhaji was just okay and underseasoned. The chole bhature was decent. Enjoyed the jalebi, too.
Service is chaotic but place is packed and vibe is fun. Great pani puri and I loved the complexity of the kofta curry — yum! Skip the chai.
san francisco indian food selection is getting better with jalebi streets arrival. all the appetizers and dishes were amazing, but would skip the desserts. also beware of the slippery floors. dahi sev puri: must get! well balanced and fresh chole bhature: highly recommend, perfectly fried and flavorful. wish there was extra spicy chutney dal makhani: enjoyed the curry, paired well with other curries paneer butter masala: solid dish but as expected kashmiri kofta curry: enjoyed more than the paneer, nice and spicy laccha paratha: would skip
Rare find in San Francisco for Indian street food! They are also true vegetarian here so great for both vegans and vegetarians. The prices are a bit on the higher end for what you pay for in terms of portions, but all very flavorful. I wish that for dine in, the dishes would be presented on cookware and silverware instead of plastic and single-use. But, service was great and staff were warm towards us. The chef went out to greet us too, although that was close to when they first opened. I really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. The paneer was just the right texture for me. Can taste the love and authenticity in the dishes. Great addition to Haight!

Very new place with good food. Raaj kachori, daal kachori and onion kachori were tatsy. Aalu puri was good. Chhole bhature tasted very different than usual. Jalebi was warm and crispy. The place is spacious but can’t accommodate enough people. It was a bit chaotic as well. They were nice to offer complementary dahi bhalle. Overall good find in the SF but there are better places in the bay area.

Chole bhature was good. The laccha paratha nice and crispy with good layers. The garlic naan was a little doughy Daal makhani and palak paneer were both good. Not too oily and no heavy whipped cream. Jalebi and rabrdi were ok. Overall a little expensive for home style food.
Food - some hits some misses. (1) chole bhature - bhatura and in general their bread is great! Chole was one of the better ones I’ve had in the US but could be better (2) aloo tikki chat - my favorite (3) kadai paneer / average (4) raj kachori - average (5) jalebis - amazing. Overall I’d come back and try more chat stuff and definitely have their jalebis again. Atmosphere and decor left a lot to be desired but they’re still setting up so that’s okay. Service was a bit slow but servers were nice and polite and trying their best. My main gripe was the portion size - it was ridiculously small. The curries were served in tiny bowls as you can see in the picture and the Raj kachori size was half of what it should be. Over priced for they serve
There are plenty of North Indian options, but none are that amazing, though they're not bad enough to prevent anyone from trying. The taste is average; just try the jalebi.
