Opinions de Pistachio Kitchen San Francisco
We had breakfast at Pistachio, and were really happy with the food quality, the service and the hospitality. We had Avocado toast and French toast with Pistachio latte. All the dishes were delicious
Breakfast was on another level. Super good, and the staff was very nice. First time in San Francisco, and I will say this is my favorite spot to have breakfast during my 4-day stay.
Delicious brunch/lunch spot with a Turkish twist! This place deserves every single 5-star review. Delicious chopped beef sandwich (Tantuni) on a wonderfully soft and toasted bun. I am so glad I took the food recommendation from Melike. The staff is wonderful, they have calming Jazz playing on the speakers. I am excited to come back here for brunch to try the shakshuka and their coffee.
This place is such a gem. Amazing food, great lattes, kinda bad location as its on a super busy street and hard to find parking so I would recommend walking or taking the muni but such good service and food. The staff are incredible and great vegan options! I took my mom here and she loved it :)
Amazing atmosphere and food. The owner or manager is a lovely person who is super friendly. Chilechiles are amazing. Great coffee.
Stumbled upon Pistachio Kitchen on a walk in the neighborhood and decided to give it a try. Food and drinks were great! We ordered the chilaquiles and they did not disappoint! I recommend asking for your eggs over easy/medium as opposed to scrambled. Vanilla latte was heavenly. 10/10 def recommend!
We loved it! All food was fresh, delicious and artistically served. We had amazing avocado toast and a tasty breakfast burrito, and the kids split French toast (I did not let them lick their plates!) and perfect not too sweet strawberry yogurt smoothie. We enjoyed every bite of it! It was our first time at the restaurant but the service was so exceptionally friendly that we felt like returning guests who know everyone there for years. We definitely will come back.
Outstanding !!! Great food, friendly people, and very attentive service. I wish I could give it 10 stars. The food is authentic and fresh. They gave us some free baklava, and it reminded me of the kind I had in Greece. It’s hard to get it fresh like that around here so I was very impressed.
This place is an amazing find! They have classic breakfast dishes and some unique lunch dishes as well. The pistachio latte is a must try - I am so obsessed, I’ve brought my parents and boyfriend back to try it! The baklava is amazing as well. The staff are very kind and very attentive to needs! The atmosphere is nice but it’s an order at the counter, then sit down at a table type of place. So if you go at a busy time, there might not be a table available.
This place is outstanding place to eat and have coffee. My French Toast and fruit was enjoyable. I will come back soon.
This is a delightful little bit of counter-service hiding adjacent to downtown San Francisco. The staff is friendly, the food is very good. I would especially recommend the banana foster french toast, truly a revelation. The Shakshuka is pretty good too! Best part, the baklava is complimentary. I hope as this restaurant grows, it leans more and more into the Turkish side of its menu! Honestly, for San Francisco, it's also pretty dang budget-friendly, especially given the quality.
This is a wonderful spot with the absolute best pistachio latte I have ever had. It is served super hot and not too sweet. It taste like pistachio and not a sweet syrup. The breakfast food was also delicious and the baklava some of the best I’ve had in the U.S. Definitely try this place!
Perfect little counter service cafe with very generous portions. The vegetarian breakfast burrito and pistachio baklava, which was sweetly offered complimentarily, was outstanding. Super nice staff and great ambiance with relaxing jazz music playing.
Highly recommend!!! Delicious food and friendly staff! We had breakfast here multiple mornings, everything was perfectly cooked and the flavors were on point. We had the Pistachio French toast, Eggs Benedict, Avocado Toast. Free baklava pieces just for coming in was a scrumptious touch.
EGG-cellent!! My husband and I went for brunch and this was the perfect spot!! He got a mimosa which was delicious and made with fresh OJ. I had an almond milk latte that tasted great, the milk was fab, and the mug was nice to drink out of. We split a vegetarian burrito and it was big enough to split, delicious enough that we ate everything, and are already looking forward to coming back. The service was fast, friendly, and the Bossa Nova music was goood!
Amazing bananas foster French toast. Friendly staff. Beautiful, clean, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. Even the bathroom was fancy. Great selection of coffee drinks at a good price, food is a good price as well with generous portions. Bright, sunny location right on the corner of Austin and Franklin. 10/10
Fresh opening, place is brand new. Stopped by looking for a spot to grab some breakfast food on the early Tuesday morning and it hit a jackpot. Generous portions, just look at this veg omelette and frittata. And believe me, this tasted as good as it looks. Another huge plus is that they serve loose tea in a teapot, rose earl grey was fantastic, very mild, but yet refreshing taste. Staff is very accommodating, I felt like they really cared if we enjoyed our meal. Great job team, keep it up and good luck.
Amazing spot for breakfast. Love the decor and vibe of this spot. Ordered the pistachio latte. Was delicious although I prefer oat milk. If you’re a pistachio fan, you’ll love this drink. The eggs Benedict was delicious. The tomatillo sauce is so flavourful and adds a nice touch to the dish. Nice relaxing spot to have a bite or grab a drink to go.
Service was excellent, the food met out expectations. It was sweet of them giving treats of pistachio for customers celebrating the holidays. I went there twice and the food was excellent both times.
I really wanted to complain about the roasted veggies bowl because it tasted gross. Until! Until I tried this phenomenal pistachio banana French toast…this is the best French toast I’ve ever tried, please try it yourself. It was that delicious that I forgot about my veggie bowl. I forgave them everything. A person who made this French toast must be a genius. I will come back only for this toast and bring other people to try it. So good
I really wanted to try the shrimp and grits without bacon. I know bacon creates that classic “Southern comfort” flavor, but I prefer letting shrimp shine. The chef was a little skeptical, but accommodated my request. I added a touch of Cholula for smoky heat, and what I ended up with was unexpectedly Mediterranean-forward - bright chopped tomatoes, silky polenta, and shrimp that stood out instead of bacon hijacking the dish. It was amazing. The polenta itself was incredibly creamy. I cook it at home occasionally, and it’s never this smooth. I may have to ask for their secret. As a first-time guest, I even received a complimentary bag of Turkish pistachios, which made my day! I love pistachios. I’ll definitely be back for more shrimp and grits - and next time I’m trying the pistachio pancakes.
Great vibe here, before you even walk through the door. Selected the French toast, buttermilk pancakes and vanilla latte. Perfect blend of comfort and style. Quick to order and food cane relatively quickly. Good portions of each. Totally agree with most people in recommending this place. Super clean wheelchair accessible toilets. Great experience
Amazing vegan options for breakfast! Even though there are only a few, there are delicious and very filling! Good oat latte, too, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Absolutely can recommend!
Literally love this place, it was our last meal before leaving San Francisco at what a perfect way to end the trip! The food service and atmosphere were all amazing and everyone inside was in good spirits, including the other patrons. Will definitely be back.
We will definitely come back here again next time we visit SF. The avocado toast with egg white was the best I ever had, the only thing that could make it better would be if the bread was healthier like a dark sprouted grain bread. The yogurt with granola do fruit was really good, creamy with a pleasant taste. A healthy “dessert” after the meal. My husband got bacon omelette with veggies and he liked it. I tried the pistachio latte with pistachio milk and it was delicious, although too sweet for my attempts to make healthier choices. Daughter’s herbal tea I think called orange dream was amazing. Husband didn’t really like his Turkish coffee, it was plain black, without any cardamom or sugar. We had Turkish coffee before at a middle eastern restaurant and it had cardamom and milk. Portions: generous portions, I shared with my daughter and feel full. Healthy options and good range of options for different tastes. Parking: street parking, we got lucky with a spot close by. Space: when we came there was one last table available for us and one was “reserved” yet nobody sat there for a whole hour (are they keeping it for a random VIP?). Consider checking availability if you want to dine in. No bad smells inside the cafe, it’s very clean, and it’s dog friendly. We didn’t see the bathrooms.
Once you walk in, there's nice music playing, the place is clean and bright, and tastefully decorated. You grab a menu, decide what you want to order, and order at the counter. While ordering, try not to get distracted by the pastries. Once the food comes out, it's perfect. The portions are generous but also somehow light. They managed to get the perfect balance to satisfy you. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely come back.
Healthy and tasty! We two are vegetarians and we found options, which were very tasty. The staff is very courteous and take good care of what they are doing. We had Avocado Toast and roasted veggies, both were very delicious. My wife had their Ginger Zinger juice, which she really loved. The cappuccino was very good too.
The food was fantastic and the service couldn’t have been better. We ordered the vegetarian omelet with an iced vanilla latte and the avocado toast with a side of potatoes—everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done.
The baklava and pistachio coffee were rich and creamy. Adequate sized portions for the grits and shrimp and well flavored sauce. Will be back to try the pistachio pancakes
plenty of bacon, mashroom, vege, really nice. potatos are also great, a bit of spicy and tasty. love to come here again.
This is a small restaurant that sits about 40 persons. Tables for two and four are spaced out. I like the high ceilings and the sunlight coming through the windows. It's a no frill restaurant with excellent wait staff who are patient, welcoming, pleasant and friendly. You place your order first, then you find your seat. Since we were a party of 5, they put two tables together and took our order from our tables. They did this also for a party of 8. The menu has a good selection of breakfast/brunch entrees that should suit everyone. Entrée prices are reasonable but I thought the beverage prices are rather high. Food is served temperature hot with a nice presentation. Serving is ample that is satisfying but not completely fill you up. The beverages have good presentation and absolutely delicious. Since the restaurant is named Pistachio, we tried everything that had pistachio. They even had pistachio milk which I never knew existed. The menu includes one Turkish sandwich and Turkish coffee. If you never had Turkish coffee, you should try it. It's not for everyone - the beans are finely ground and the grounds sink to the bottom of the cup; do not stir (otherwise the coffee becomes cloudy and does not taste good); and you sip rather than drink. If you want sugar, let the server know so it can be added when the coffee is made. My coffee came with a Turkish delight (jelly typed of candy with or without nuts). Street parking is nil during certain hours of they day. If you live nearby, give this restaurant a try. I don't think you will be disappointed. If you never been to Turkey or had Turkish food, order the Turkish sandwich and coffee and feel like you have been to Turkey.
Saw this place just open on my walk around the neighborhood and decided to try it out! The hostess was super nice and she gave us complimentary baklava as part of their grand opening event. The baklava was delicious! We also ordered: - French Toast 7.5/10 it was good but a little soggy, would’ve preferred more of a crunch, the cream on top was really good though - House Potatoes 8/10 it was a unique take on house potatoes in terms of the flavor profile, they sprinkled green onions on top and included purple potatoes, again would’ve been nice if they were a bit crispier - Pistachio Frittata 7/10 pretty average, will satisfy you if you’re craving a cheesy egg with veggies Overall the food was fine but the service and the atmosphere stood out the most. Love the vibe and music in the place!
Service was excellent. Super friendly staff. The food was amazing wish I lived around the corner from here so I could try everything.
Got breakfast burrito with chicken and chilaquiles. 6 or 5.5 but pretty good vibe and not unhealthy. Good option for quick brunch or lunch on weekend. Breakfast burrito was solid and maybe try other brunch stuff
What a lovely restaurant! Everything we ate was TO DIE FOR!!! Staff is very friendly and attentive too. Add this to your must-stop list for brunch!!!
I’ve been here several times now. Love the fresh juices and pastries. Yesterday I tried the shrimp and grits which I can never pass up. This is one of my favorite versions. Plenty of cheese with bacon and a tomato sauce. The servers are friendly and the food comes out quick. Every time I come to SF this is my go to spot for breakfast and lunch. I highly recommend supporting them.

Wow! This place was great! The food was better than my expectations! I rarely say that. I had and recommend the avocado toast and the breakfast burrito. The employees were great, extremely nice and accommodating.
Got the breakfast burrito which was really delicious and was filled with scrambled egg, bacon, avocado, and cheese. It was also served with a side of roasted potatoes. These were kind of hit or miss for me as some of the pieces seemed a bit undercooked. Regardless, the dish was a bigger portion size and ended up keeping me full most of the day! Ordering at the counter was pretty straightforward and dishes came out quickly. A friend really enjoyed the pistachio pancakes as well!
I'm in San Francisco on a mini vacation. I plan on eating and sightseeing, as a vacationer does. I booked my reservation beforehand, and I was able to come in earlier than my reservation. I had 2 iced lattes, one pistachio and one lavender. They were so tasty, and STRONG(I don't drink coffee too often). I'm amped, not only from the lattes, but from the excellent service and atmosphere. Purely enjoyable. I was even given a free pistachio baklava. It was so tasty. Flaky and sweet, and melts in your mouth. I will be visiting again to bring some baklava home with me!

pistachio kitchen gets the job done but lacks the extra sauce to take it to the next level. dishes were decent but forgettable. also, the space could be utilized better, lots of open space to fit more tables. overall, decent breakfast spot and enjoyed my meal there but a little too pricy for the value. huevos rancheros: okay dish, nothing amazing french toast: pretty tasty but slightly too sweet

Grim food, which gave my husband diarrhoea within half an hour. My chilaquiles was a soggy mass of tortilla chips and flavourless toppings. Can’t fathom why the good reviews unless they were having a terrible day at the kitchen when we visited
