Coffee could be stronger but place is nicely decorated. Didn't try any food though.
We had an Toast with Avocado and egg and an Sandwich with Turkey. Both was very delicious and the female staff with the cute star in her face was also courteous and polite 😀
My family and I were in San Fran in 2012. We happened to walk by Waterfront Bakery and bought a couple of sourdough baguettes. Without a doubt the best sourdough ever, very strong flavor. I was in Oakland recently and took a ferry over to San Fran specifically to buy some baguettes to bring back to Nashville. It was very much worth effort. No other sourdough matches this, not even Boudin.
A nice place to go for a quick and small breakfast! We were staying at a hotel around the corner and saw this place nearby. Very friendly people and the pastries were delicious!!! Also very reasonably priced given the area. I just wish we were staying longer so we could go more than just two mornings that we did! Highly recommend.
I always really like the welcoming and friendly atmosphere, I buy 4 times a week and am very pleased with the quality of customer service, it’s especially nice when the barista Marina every time tries to take into account all my wishes for making coffee - and for coffee lovers this is very important. The food is always fresh and tasty
Amazing place for breakfast or just a (really good) coffee. Great food options, quick service and cozy atmosphere. 100% recommended! :)
Love Pomegranate! The coffee is great, the staff is really nice, and the place feels cozy. A perfect spot to chill
I visit this place all the time, and it never disappoints! The coffee is always top-notch, and Roza makes the absolute best coffee. Highly recommend!
This is my go-to coffee spot to enjoy a coffee and a delicious bite. Baristas are very professional and friendly. The most delicious coffee is made by barista Alisa, she’s very attentive to details of your order and her coffee is always a treat to look forward to. Highly recommend to check out Pomegranate.
This little gem is delicious. We stayed in the hotel around the corner and made this our morning breakfast spot every day. Everything we tried was excellent. The (I assume owner/s) were, as one review mentioned, a little lacking on customer smiles, but over time they grow on you and they are always professional. I was particularly enamored of a marble cherry muffin/cupcake that they offer. LOADS of cherries and melt in your mouth texture. So soft and moist. I don't care where I stay in San Fran next time, I'll go out of my way to get one of those next time I visit.
Grate customer service, very warm atmosphere . I really appreciate the time we spend in Pomegranate coffee shop. I enjoyed my coffee.
I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. It was perfect toasted with a generous amount of cream cheese. It was delicious! I also ordered a vanilla latte with almond milk which was also good! The staff is always welcoming. This is one of my favorite cafes :)
Very tasty cappuccino and amazing creamy croissant! Nice music in the cafe and excellent service.
Great sandwiches and pastries! Highly recommend

Great sandwiches and pastries! Highly recommend
The bakery is a small lovely place with a wonderful display of the goodies. We had a couple desserts and a chocolate croissant. yum yum
thank you for a perfect cappuccino and a warm croissant. for a reasonable price. nice little café. not like the overpriced big chains that you find everywhere…
Nice little cafe; the espresso machine has st marks lion, which I adore.
I have no idea why this place did not get as much love as it truly deserves! A nice quaint place, perfect for breakfast, if you fancy a bagel or sandwich. Reasonably priced as well and very quiet. The food was really tasty. 10/10! Highly recommend!
Nice place and nice little cafe. Very overpriced but yummy avocado toast and coffee. The gray line tours leave from There so perfectly walkable from Hotel.
Such a cute and comfy cafe. Pastries were fantastic and large. 100% worth the money. The staff was incredibly kind and made sure I was satisfied. At no point was there a problem with the slight language barrier, some of these reviews have to touch grass.
Quick and delicious, I had a veggie croissant breakfast sandwich and a coffee; price was good too. In and out in like 5 minutes.

Great little stop off place for a coffee and pastry. We stayed in the area for a week and came here most days. Other reviews do seem a little harsh. We enjoyed the coffee and the croissants were huge.
So I read some reviews on this place and had to stop by. I was a little disappointed. I had to tell him 4 times I wanted it for here. I then pointed to the cup. Thought I would have a flower design on my cappuccino, nope nothing.
Cash only! We visited here 2 years ago and loved it then. So back again and its still the best coffee around, no line up on Saturday mornings this is also great.

Had a lovely breakfast here, the food was fresh and tasty, and the service was friendly and efficient. The only downside is that the interior feels a bit bare, which makes the atmosphere a little cold. Still, definitely worth a visit for a good breakfast!

CASH ONLY. There is no sign on the door or inside saying cash only, but it is. There is an ATM around the corner. The best thing about this shop is the atmosphere and decor. The pastries are not worth the money, but the coffee is decent. I got a chocolate croissant, it wasnt gross...but the chocolate was just a few unmelted chocolate chips in the pastry! Very disappointing. My boyfriend asked for some ice to cool down his coffee, and they refused to give him any.
33$ for 2 small sandwiches, 2 americanos (small+medium). Ham and cheese bagel was simple and tasteless while croissant one was around average. Americanos were served as takeaway while we were dining in, strange. But the problem was not how it was served, it was kins of the worst coffee for our 10 days of US visit..

Their webpage said they’re a coffeehouse and bakery so I ordered a double espresso but instead was served a cup of brewed coffee, and croissant & juice were prepackaged not made onsite.
Coffee was awful completely watered down. The Salmon bagel was sour and seemed moldy but service seemed good for the most part.
Dry croissants and way overpriced. Usually, "hole in the wall" places have charm and better than average food. This pne foes not.
Service was fine. She was very kind. Food was kind of gross. My boyfriend got the egg avocado toast. She said it was scrambled eggs on top but it was a hard boiled. My boyfriend wouldn’t have ordered it if he knew it was hard boiled. I ordered a bagel and cream cheese and ended up getting sick later. Coffee was decent.
Imagine a bagel without cheese-cream, or butter, just a slice of ham and cheese. No tomato, nor lettuce, etc. Other sandwiches are also very poor for the price. The gentleman is alone; he does his best but the service is very slow.
Cute atmosphere, nice music playing from the open doors BUT beware this is a coffee shop that doesn’t have creme. Nope they don’t have it - they give you whole milk instead. When I asked about it I got the sense this was a common complaint that went unanswered. Also all the pastries and breakfast items look store bought and brought in. Did the owner design a lovely place and then leave to have others work here and collect the profits? Keep walking.

Total rip-off!! For a Croissant with ham&cheese, I paid $12 each, when I asked why your menu "advertised price" says $6, she replied by saying, "that's a ready made one, whereas the $12 to prepare on the spot"! Are you kidding me! So, 2 Croissants with ham&cheese and 1 cheese Croissant with 2 medium coffee totals $39.80 before tax!!! That was the most expensive quick breakfast I ever had in San Francisco!
Pomegranate is terrible. My ham and cheese croissant was cold and the ham was stale. The order took for ever to come out. The customer service was horrible. I had to file a complaint against them. I had to return my items because the quality was so bad and they said they would give a full refund, but that it would take a while to process. That refund never came through. Don't let this place deceive you by how nice it looks and its location.
Such a gross and disgusting little coffee shop. When they open their freezer to make your food, it literally smells like something died. I started looking around then and saw everything where they make food is beyond gross. It’s ridiculous this place passed a food inspection. Don’t walk but run to another coffee shop is the best advice I could give.
I don’t even leave reviews, but I had to this time. She sold me an $8 iced latte, but when I got it, I realized there was no coffee in it at all. Just milk and some hazelnut syrup. When I asked, she said she uses drip coffee only for iced drinks and if I wanted espresso, I needed to order it hot. I also ordered a bagel with ham and cheese and she didn’t even toast it . Just a cold doughy bagel with cold ham and cold American cheese for $11. Don’t come here.
So i order a regular coffee and i asjed the lady for half and half they disnt have any , so i asked for regular cold milk and she said ok we have milk, but instead she pour in my coffee cup burned steamed milk thats been sitting there fir a while and it was all foam, she didnt even askes me if that was ok. Like really ? So long story short, my regular coffe had all burned milk foam, not regular cold milk like ask. Im not going back there again, for sure.
Worker behind counter looked angry and ignored us for multiple minutes as we stood awkwardly at the counter before taking our order. We observed the worker be unprofessional and rude to another patron as well.
Bad, moldy, overpriced breakfast. Not sure how they have a 3.8 rating. The coffee and food was very expensive and not good. The topper was the slice of cake from the case that was rock hard and had mold covering the bottom. Definitely a tourist trap. I recommend going somewhere else.
The reality doesn't match the owners perception. I will support struggling businesses but they have to try to improve. With fake reviews from new accounts and attacking those who leave negative reviews the point is proven. Pick another location there are plenty of other options.
Menu is confusing, I am a student and wanted to grab a quick snack so I ordered a ham and cheese croissant which was for $6. I was handed a ham and cheese croissant and billed $12. When I asked to see what the $6 one was she said it was out of stock. If this is what they’re selling for $12, this place is ridiculously overpriced. They accept card payment, she said the previous transaction was cancelled so tapped again. To add on I was billed twice so I payed $36 for a cafe late and ham and cheese croissant. I have my classes once a week and she couldn’t resolve this issue on the spot, she asked me to come again to meet the manager. I am coming back on Monday and I seek a resolution. I need a refund!!!! I’m highly disappointed.

Avoid this coffee shop and spend your money elsewhere. The gentleman making the coffee is very rude and unhelpful. He couldn't explain what kind of roast the shop served. Instead, he handed the coffee bag to my husband for him to look at. My daughter asked for sweetener to be added to her iced latte, but the cashier did not understand, so we had to clarify and ask for the sweetner after the drink was made. It was a torturous experience of communication failure. We ended up trashing our drinks after a few sips because the coffee was just horrible. What a waste.
Horrible customer service the lady working today is extremely rude. I told her i forgot my glasses and needed help to read the menu and couldn’t do that for me. Horrible place
We had a very unpleasant experience at this café. There were clear communication problems, which can happen, but instead of trying to help or clarify, the staff made fun of us and treated us with disrespect. We felt ridiculed rather than welcomed. Hospitality should be about patience and understanding, especially when there are language barriers. Sadly, that was not the case here. Definitely not a place we would return to or recommend. Greets from Mars.
Don’t even think you can call this a cafe… it looked like someone had slapped together a coffee shop with a few tables and some random photos on the walls. On top of the insane price tag for 2 COLD breakfast sandwiches and a lukewarm coffee. All of this took over 30 minutes of waiting. Would not recommend this location unless you are so hungry you don’t want to eat your hand as a last resort.
